Have
stayed
here
a
few
times,
most
recently
earlier
this
year.
Prime
location,
walking
distance
to
main
attractions.
Close
to
Central
Park,
which
is
convenient
if
you're
a
runner.
Standard
rooms
are
a
bit
small
(~300
sq
ft),
though
rooms
on
the
upper
floors
facing
Central
Park
have
a
fantastic
view.
Hotel
was
built
in
2013,
so
its
age
is
starting
to
show,
as
some
furniture
is
showing
wear-and-tear.
Marriott
status
wasn't
acknowledged
at
checkin
(personally
I
don't
care
about
this,
just
care
about
the
benefits),
though
I
was
able
to
get
late
checkout
of
2
PM
(as
expected)
when
I
messaged
the
front
desk
using
the
app.
Downside
is
that
Marriott's
website
advertises
grocery
shopping
service
(normally
a
feature/benefit
for
Residence
Inns),
and
when
I
requested
this
before
checkin
using
Marriott's
messaging
service,
I
was
told
that
grocery
shopping
service
was
no
longer
offered,
which
was
disappointing,
though
Westerly's
and
Whole
Foods
are
within
walking
distance.
Hot
breakfast
was
fine,
though
there
were
days
where
the
fruit
and
the
salads
tasted
a
bit
off
(not
fresh),
though
I
did
not
get
sick.
It
wasn't
advertised
well
at
breakfast,
but
when
I
asked
staff
about
gluten-free
bread,
I
learned
that
they
had
a
ton
of
options
-
white
bread,
Udi's
bagels
and
Udi's
blueberry
and
double
chocolate
muffins
(all
sealed
in
packaging).
Bonus
was
that
the
staff
was
really
generous
about
it.
Overall,
I
would
come
back
but
there's
room
for
improvement.
