I don’t tend to write reviews but I was really disappointed by Mia’s bakery (which I love) recently. I ordered a custom cake with their salted caramel flavor and thought the cake tasted very good it was sooooo far from the design submitted. AND the cake was 2.5 hours LATE! This was unacceptable. I placed my order a week in advanced and even showed up to pick it up later than the time on my order. I called multiple times to make sure I could come an hour later to pick up, they said yes. But when I showed up the person seemed extremely confused by my name and request and I could tell something was very wrong. They told me “this is all very disorganized” I then waited for almost an hour to get what looked like a last minute quick job. They had clearly forgotten my order. I would’ve preferred the transparency right off the bat so I could get a standard caramel cake that was at least beautiful. What I got was horrible with badly attached and cut edible paper? that looked nothing like the reference. I was late for the party and the cake was expensive to boot.

Gotta go to Mia’s for your baked goods! Cakes, cupcakes, pastries and much more. We order from there for all our office celebrations and they have never disappointed us, from the strawberry shortcake to the vanilla bean cakes, everyone is always happy and satisfied. This is a sweet tooth’s delight and a must go even if on a diet lol. The cupcakes are small and delicious with the whipped and creamy frostings. Different flavors too! Call me biased but I love and enjoy their baked goods!

One of the best bakery spot in downtown of Brooklyn. Bought pastries from here several times and it’s always fresh and delicious. They have any type of cakes for all of yours occasions. Good service and fair price 👍🏼🎂🧁🍡🍪☕️

There are a lot of pastries and cake options. The chocolate layer is tasty. It's not too sweet and the cake is moist and nice. The chocolate croissant is good as well. The atmosphere is warn and cozy. The server is friendly.

One of my favorite spots that I’ve been coming to years! A perfect spot to grab a cup of coffee and a sweet dessert. They have a huge menu but I always go for the coffee cake with a drink. They get busy at time if you’re looking for a seat but it goes quick. Looking forward to my next time back as usual!

Exceptional desserts! Some of the best New York cheesecake you will find in the city. We ordered the fruit tart, NY cheesecake, strawberry cheesecake and the bread pudding. Literally everything was delicious and of exceptional quality. I believe these are made in-house, which merely adds to the intrigue and admiration for this small but infamous dessert spot! We will come back and try the rest of their very large selection! Highly recommended for tourists as well as locals!

This is the place I go to when I want to cheat on my diet or simply feed my inner child. You have to come here to experience it for yourself. Every imaginable pastry is here. Whether you want strawberry cheesecake or chocolate mousse, it’s available here. What’s cool about the place is that they have seating as well as a courtyard so you can indulge in peace and savor every mouth watering bite of your favorite desert delights. Please come here with an appetite, you will thank me later for it. The place is spotless. And yes I checked it out. I stuck my head and checked out the kitchen cooking area and it was spotless. Even the bathroom was clean with 3 unused toilet paper rolls for patrons to use. They take special orders for cakes because this is a real bakery. From traditional to whimsical designs to suit your discerning taste. I saw a sponge bob square pants cake. Don’t forget the different coffees. Everything that beverage related and hot is to be found here to partner with your pastry of your choice. A great place to spend breakfast reading the “ Times “ or that occasional afternoon or evening break .They also have cold beverages and gourmet ice cream too. This place is so good that you’ll probably keep it a secret. Trust me, you’ll thank me for it…

As soon as you walk in there is so much goodness to choose from. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable helping me decide on what to order. I ordered the chocolate cupcake with vanilla icing and the blackout cake. Both were tasty and moist. The strawberry lemonade with simple syrup tasted like fresh squeezed lemonade. It was very delicious. I will definitely return here to satisfy my sweet cravings. Prices are very affordable.

A lovely place with very fresh pastries(many varieties) and absolutely friendly staff. They have to go orders (you can see the prices on chalk board) and also seats and tables to serve inside (there are menus distributed by the host) . We bought vanilla eclair, fruit tart, 7 layer, and chocolate eclair togo order; the 7 layer was the best! Maybe fruit tart was a lit bit crispy and the eclairs both had good amount of sugar. But I definitely recommend this place.

Three words: OH. MY. GOODNESS. This was, by far, my favorite bakery I visited on my NYC trip. (Trust me, I visited several. Ha!) I had the lobster tail and fruit tart. Both were amazing! So many treats to choose from. I can't wait until I'm able to visit Mia's Bakery again!

I was very dissatisfied with the service. Winter, strong wind. My husband and I wanted to sit inside to eat and warm up. The front girl put us at the table, but said nothing else. After that, I went to the cash register in the general queue and made a purchase. When I returned to my husband's table with a bag of cakes. An unpolite blonde girl approached us and very persistently began to say that we can't stay here because those who sit at the table should be served by a waiter and it will be a different price. With our cakes in the package, we can't stay here. I didn't know, no one warned me that if I want to stay at the table, I have to wait for the waiter. It's profit from people. I've already bought a cake at this cafe. Why can't I stay inside the cafe? I'll take this table for only 15 minutes. Later, this blonde was very impudent. We haven't left the table yet because we were confused and thought about what to do, she has already moved other people to our table and said that "sit here, the table is free." The service is just a failure. I'll be honest! The cakes are delicious. Cheesecake is just great.

One of my go to bakeries. They're open pretty late which is great for those late night munchies. I tend to go with the lobster tails, they're delicious. For Easter I got a fruit tart which was really amazing - the fruit was fresh and not covered in that glaze that most fruit tarts have. They're usually pretty busy but you get in and out quickly. There's seating in the back but parking is so so in the area so I always take it go.

The cakes are really pretty here. I believe they can be custom made or your can have a slice of the billion choices they have. We got a slice of the Black Forest and a iced Chai latte. The cake was not as moist as I was hoping for, the cherries were fresh tho. The chai latte was too sweet. The service was nice and bathroom was clean. They have table service and outdoor seating. Nice place for a mini rest.

There’s so many cakes and desserts to choose from! The cheesecake was delicious and I got through line quickly. It was pretty busy with no seating room available. But a great place that I would come to again to try the other desserts.

Wow! I ordered the Salted Caramel Cake for my significant other's birthday and I was completely blown away by the presentation, but also with the deliciousness of the cake. The inside is white and chocolate cake divided by a caramel mousse. It's been a few months and I am still amazed at how delicious it was. I've been a fan of Mia's Bakery since trying their banana cream pie on a whim, but this was the first time that I had ordered and tried one of their cakes. I highly recommend! The pricing was affordable and completely worth it. Their customer service was great -- from emailing with Aja regarding cake orders to picking up the cake at the bakery. (This was a few mths ago, but still wanted to give Aja a shout out!) From here on out, I will always order desserts from Mia's Bakery!

WOW… 10/10, ASHLEY IS THE BEST WAITRESS EVER. I always passed by this place from the sidewalk and it always looked sooo good. Today I made the BEST decision of going inside and trying them out. I was seated by a very cute host that I did not catch her name and she sat me down in this beautiful back area with great A/C that really helps out on a hot summer day. From their Ashley came over quickly and took my order. I got a simple chocolate chip cookie and cream brûlée. I was expecting her to bag them up for me as generic as possible. BUT WOW, was I impressed. They took the time to decorate my deserts and put them on a very nice plate with a very refreshing glass of cold water. They have this amazing backyard with beautiful lighting that would be perfect for a date. DO COME HERE IF YOU LIKE SWEETS AT ALL. Them menu is so comprehensive and full of items that you would need to come 100 times to try them all. And I’m not lying to you when I say that this place probably has “THE BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE IN NYC”. Such a simple desert but such love and care with so much butter and fluffy. They even warmed it up for me. The only thing I regret was not coming with a larger appetite and with more friends or a date. THIS IS THE SPOT. Not what I expected at all. The entire staff is super friendly and amazing, I will be coming back very soon.

True gem in the times of AI-generated reality Though history of this local bakery with baklava, cupcakes and cakes rule this place. Regal display of different cakes rule the window display and you cannot be mistaken about identity of this shop. Always busy, always crowded, bustling with local crowds Mia’s Brooklyn Bakery offers amazing selection of cupcakes, cakes, tarts, pastries and even gelato. Amazing choice means even when you choose out of 10 tastes of gelato, you still have to choose from five types of cones (birthday cakes, dark chocolate, purple lavender, black midnight vanilla or red velvet). This puts its on the level with any local taqueria in Oaxaca, which can offer up to 120 variants of tacos. But we are talking about sweets, right? 20 types of cupcakes, and dozens and dozens of other pastries. They pack it very neatly in carton boxes, no cheap plastic boxes. Ok. Where do you it eat? They have tables and they have amazing hidden garden in the backyard. It is shaded, it is calm and perfect for a cup of tea. Or coffee! Can you imagine that most expensive coffee to go will be less than $4? Come one. Check this place out!

My biggest problem here: too many options!😅 We sat down and had table service which was quick and friendly. The cheesecake was delicious. I could greedily scarf down a piece twice as big. The strawberry shortcake’s frosting was a little too buttery for my taste. i prefer the creamy type I’m used to in Tokyo. Try as I may, have never found anything similar state side.

This is by far my most favorite place to have dessert. They are open late and it's always within walking or a short subway ride away from where we are. The selection is wonderful. Sometimes we visit 2 times a day. You can never have enough dessert!!! We haven't had a bad slice of cake or cheesecake yet!!! Each time we are in the city we make a beeline here.

OMG! Stop what your doing and go get a cupcake !!! As usual, my co-worker had told me about Mia's Bakery and how good they are, as we were talking about it, a client had jumped in and said "yes they are amazing". And of course I had to try it. I got the red velvet cupcake for me and the and sea salt caramel cupcake for my hubby, the red velvet was D E L I C I O U S !! And I later update on the sea salt caramel one.

This is an amazing dessert spot and I love coming here. The line to pick-up orders is usually long and it can be very busy on some days, but dining in has never been an issue for me. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. Would recommend to anyone looking for a dessert place in Brooklyn.

The pastries are amazing to look at and to eat. I tried their burnt almond cake and their German chocolate cake. The cakes were so moist, decadent and sinfully delicious. Definitely try this place out if you're in Brooklyn and have a sweet tooth.

They had a lot of options, including gluten free & vegan options! We ordered the strawberry shortcake and the vegan raspberry cake, they were yummy! Staff was friendly and the wait time was short. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

This place… this place is a little slice of perfection. I discovered this place after an office party ordered their cupcakes as dessert, honestly I’ve never tasted something so delicious. The first cupcake I tried was the cookie cupcake. This cupcake has a mini soft baked cookie on top and inside of the cupcake…. Perfect! Since then we have visited this place multiple times. From cupcakes, full size party cakes to cookies, we order every dessert from here. Recently we visited Mia’s for dine in service. This was our first time. We ordered a simple amaretto latte, a slice of apple cheesecake and an almond cookie. That’s was more than enough for two people. The cake slices are a nice size definitely enough to share between two people. The cookie and cheesecake paired perfectly with latte. The decor of the bakery suits NYC. It’s small yet spacious and well designed. If you were to think of a bakery in NYC this is what you would in vision.

The staff are very nice and efficient. I appreciated the setup where you could get take out right away or take your time and sit down in order to have your order taken by a server. There are lots of amazing options to choose from, all of which look like they taste great. I went with the banana bread pudding and afagato, which were delicious and very filling!

An impressive selection of bakery options. We enjoyed the Porcupine, which has a delightful blend of chocolate mousse and cranberry brûlée.

Okay so I came here for a wedding cake to be chosen right out of the case- they had at least 6 cakes that would have been more than perfect for an occasion such as mine. Flawless, memorable, decadent. Mia’s is a treasure

I bought this cake for my daughter's 1st birthday, so excited since Mia's is our go to place for cake, and also they told us that this is their best seller cake. Too disappointed when I opened the cake got melted 😔, now we bought another cake in a different bakeshop. Lesson learned, what a waste 😭

My favourite patisserie in the whole city and I’ll absolutely hop on the subway just to get a slice of their cakes (tarts, pies, cupcakes..) whenever my sweet tooth takes over. They offer a baffling selection of baked goods (I’ve a sweet spot for their coconut cake), they’re open late and have a lovely little courtyard in the back.

The ambiance is great! The almond croissant is very delicious and flaky. The inside dining may require a jacket it’s a little chilly. All in all it is a great bakery to come and work and have good communications.
