Love the Shrimp soup con Crema, Shrimps in Red sauce and Pupusas. I also haven’t tried anything I don’t like here. I’ve tried the steak and it’s great, hooked on the daily specials which are ready super fast, fresh and interesting as you get to learn a little more of the culture as you order of the daily specials.

The best restaurants are mom and pops and this El Salvadorian restaurant is a gem! Their fried fish is amazing and you will love their "Rabo Encendido" which is a hearty helping of oxtail and rice with black beans and tortillas! Prices are fantastic for the portions served!

I've been here at least seven times. And I'm never disappointed. Not only are the pupusas amazing and I've had it at at least five other places they are my favorite. They also have amazing breakfast the traditional El Salvadorian breakfast... words cannot explain mouth watering it's perfect. they're also very friendly the place is clean they also have great juices so also try their juices.I live in New York and I travel across the George Washington bridge just to go there That's how good it is.

I used to live across the street from El Jocoreno, and had breakfast there every morning. I haven't been there in well over 15 years. The food is still amazing and the nice waitress is still there and has been for the last 21 years. I will be going back next week. 🌹

I had the Pupusa Queso e Frijoles (Cheese with beans) because they couldn't make only beans. I think this means they have premade pupusa. I don't recommend this Pupusa.

pupusas weren’t what we expected… they were a bit thick but with barely any filling inside. they needed a bit more cooking as well.

The food here is amazing, and usually the service is as well. However, I did have a bad incident with one of the waitresses. I had ordered a soup and tamale with coffee. I had brought my reusable tupperware for my unfinished soup and was yelled at by the waitress in front of everyone. She said the soup was meant to be eaten right there, and the “to go” was different than the “dine in”, implying they give you a smaller portion for the to go. So, keep in mind that the waitresses aren’t afraid to embarrass you and give you less even though you’re paying the same as dine in customers.

Quality. Authentic and very Central American as it should be per what they advertise. Very hospitable and diligent when it comes to service. 9 out of 10.

Why should I hate a place where I can eat like eating at home. But if you want to order some pupusas You better call twenty minutes before.
