Had a wonderful time getting lunch here. The staff were so friendly and the food was both fresh and delicious! I ordered Mozzarella, red peppers, and pesto on ciabatta bread and it was perfect! Some of the best pesto I've ever had. My girlfriend ordered ham, swiss, lettuce, and tomato on ciabatta bread and that was also very well made as well. I would highly reccomend you stop by if you're in the area!

I really enjoyed my first time here. I work in Midtown and have been searching for new lunch places near by…let’s say I’ve definitely found one! I had the Prosciutto De Parma and it was very good. I love how crispy the ciabatta comes and the flavor combination of the mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes on top of the prosciutto was excellent. Topped off with a hint of garlic mayo for an extra (much welcomed) twist. Will definitely be returning soon!

My last meal in NYC this trip might have been my favorite. I loved everything about this experience including the staff. I can’t remember the name of the person who took our order, but she was the best! I was inside for probably 30-minutes and she connected with and made every person in the restaurant feel seen and appreciated. She was as amazing as the food, and the food was on point!

I ordered the halloumi cheese sandwich, and labneh with veggies on the side. The sandwich was mediocre at best. It had a strange tangy taste. I make far better Halloumi sandwiches for sure. The labneh was ok although I don't think it had decent extra virgin olive oil if at all. The veggies included were carrots and cucumber, which tasted weird, definitely not fresh. I paid over $19 for this meal, absolutely not worth it.

I used to like coming here but I guess their food quality is down now. Today I ordered a chicken sandwich and the chicken was undercooked. The chicken was still hard and salty. This sucks because sandwiches here aren’t cheap.

Picnic basket is my go to lunch place for a amazing panini! It’s way too good and fresh. I did not get to explore most of the menu over the years because I keep ordering the same pastrami panini each time!

The Picnic Basket is a staple in my lunch rotation. It’s not the closest to my office but I still make it there once a week minimum because it’s worth the walk. Very friendly service and I’ve enjoyed every sandwich I’ve tried thus far. My favorites are the Chicken Melt, Chimi Chicken, and Turkey and Herbs sandwiches.

Hands down the best sandwich shop in Midtown. May sound like a lofty claim but if you’re reading this review it seems you’re sitting on the fence. Trust your gut and this review and try out one of their hot pressed sandwiches. They will mix and match ingredients to your liking and their staff is amazingly awesome to boot!

Really delicious fresh sandwiches. They also do salads and pressed paninis. I tried the roast beef sandwich with a spicy mayo and it was fantastic. The space is really small so don't expect to stay there and eat unless it's during off hours.

This is my favorite breakfast/lunch spot in the city! They have nice big portions for a fair price (cheaper than most of the overpriced spots in the city!) without compromising quality. The food is always delicious, their menu has a great variety without being too overwhelming, and don't get me started on the coffee! Best I've had in a long while. The cashier/delivery guy is a hunk too, but that's just a plus ;)

Got the crunchy tuna sandwich and it was so delicious! Was a bit pricey for a sandwich but the sandwich itself was big so that makes up for it. Will definitely be trying some of their other sandwich options in the future!

Last day in NYC and we stopped in before catching the train back to Ohio. All four of us had great food, but just as important was the great energy, smiles, and welcoming and friendly service. We got there before the lunch rush and ate in. The staff/owners interacted with everyone with kindness. They deserve all the stars!

Great little sandwich shop. Nice selection. I enjoyed the pastrami panini while my wife and kids had a selection of chicken sandwiches with sauces and veggies. Quick and friendly service.

Stopped in for a quick bite. I was really craving a sandwich. I got a turkey and Swiss (but subbed provolone). It was so good after a week of traveling and visiting the city. The atmosphere is good and the guy at the conter is pretty chill.

I order from Picnic Basket all the time. Love love love the food. Always fresh, always tasty. When you order for a group and give names for each item they write the name on the bag of each one, often with a smiley face or a heart. And I love that they get their breads from local NYC vendors :) The soups are amazing! Tomato is my favorite!! 1000 stars for Picnic Basket!!

Great lunch option in the garment district! The hot pressed sandwiches are awesome, and there are menu items for all palates. The lines can get long at lunch and the food can get pricey; for the fresh and tasty options.

Clean, healthy and fresh ingredients. We got a cold sandwich, hot pressed sandwich and salad. All were really flavorful with high quality ingredients. Staff and owner were really friendly too. Would highly recommend for lunch. Looking forward to coming back for more.

Hired the picnic basket to cater a company picnic in riverside park and they were amazing! The food was great, everything was packed in boxes and easy to set up in the park, they were so responsive and really great to work with.
