Very
nice
beach
and
park
in
the
midst
of
the
Bronx.
Mixed
experience
however.
While
the
beach
is
very
nice
and
groomed
with
calm
water,
and
there
are
large
picnic
areas,
nature
trails,
and
areas
for
fishing,
the
park
can
become
extremely
crowded
and
loud
on
weekends.
There
is
no
prohibition
on
loud
music,
so
on
a
weekend
you
will
definitely
hear
many
different
groups
blasting
music
on
large
speakers.
Today
there
is
a
tent
and
dance
area
set
up
by
a
church,
and
they
have
large
PA
speakers
surrounding
the
tent
blasting
music
so
loud
that
it
can
be
heard
up
and
down
the
entire
beach.
By
all
means
hold
a
community
event,
but
the
incredible
volume
of
the
music
is
just
unnecessary.
Multiple
other
groups
are
also
blasting
music,
so
it's
just
a
cacophony
of
noise
when
you
are
in
the
central
area
of
the
beach.
If
you
don't
want
to
listen
to
someone
else's
music
blasting
in
your
ear
the
entire
time,
choose
a
week
day,
or
come
first
thing
in
the
morning
at
9am.
Additionally,
they
are
very
strict
about
the
water.
You
cannot
swim
or
wade
outside
the
life
guard
area,
which
of
course
makes
perfect
sense,
but
you
cannot
even
walk
knee
deep
outside
of
this
area
either.
A
hint
of
bad
weather
and
they
not
only
remove
everyone
from
the
water,
which
is
understandable,
but
they
also
evacuate
the
entire
beach,
even
though
it's
not
even
raining
and
you
can
see
the
weather
will
clear
up
again
shortly.
Safety
is
one
thing,
but
this
is
a
little
excessive.
Basically,
it's
a
nice
beach
and
it
offers
something
very
accessible
for
this
part
of
the
city,
but
if
you
want
a
nice
peaceful
break
from
the
city
to
enjoy
the
water
and
nature,
you're
not
going
to
get
it
on
a
weekend.
