I love this planet f. It always looks clean, there is little flow of people, the staff is attentive and the machines are in very good condition

I hate Covid. This was my late night/early morning sanctuary spot for a lengthy peaceful workout. Gotta cancel my membership. Without 24hrs service what's the point?

I feel very safe at Fitness Planet. All the machines are sterilized. They have showers and locked to store your personal things, you only need the 🔐. It is open 24 hours a day. I highly recommend this gym.

Do yourself a favor and build a home gym. People constantly hog the equipment, and even with a no commitment membership, you still have to pay a maintenance fee, and the only way to cancel is through certified mail or going there in person. They rely on these tactics as a way to discourage you from canceling your membership even if it is no commitment. Gyms in this way are crooked I'd rather pay 500 or 600 on an adjustable set with a life time guarantee, vs. paying 20 to 25 a month for membership at a gym where people hog the machines, with hidden fees, and where they make it impossible to cancel. They also make it difficult for you to contact them through means of phone. Headquarters office hours are from 8am to 4pm and if you email them, you don't get a response.

Customer service has to improve. It is important for a business to have as much as possible an excellent customer service. Customers have their own decision whether to be part of planet fitness or not be part of planet fitness. some customers who had a good impression from employees after leaving planet fitness are more likely to return to the gym than customers who had a bad impression from employees after leaving planet fitness.

I honestly don’t know why this planet fitness hasn’t upgrade yet? There are so many memebers that go here!! This gym is terrible the staff are great! But the gym equipment is so bad. We need less ellipticals and more stair masters and tread mills and more weights. If they gym upgraded then it would be great but it’s so bad

Whats the point of having to show our ID when they already ask us to show our digital qr code. The summer pass for teens was just a scam.

My goto Gym. On 3rd ave. However, its not without its issues. TL:DR, i only run on treadmills for 60mins + another 30mins, and devices work and others dont and it can be frustrating. (Every day other day is musical chairs on which items work.) The public, most can be distracting because they are either singing loudly to their headset overpowering all other sounds, or chatting on the phone. The Staff: Most seem OK and attentive and clean during AM or midnight hours. No bad remarks here. The Public: Some Folks that ramble loudly on the phone can also be annoying, or sing loudly to their music over the ambient noise/TV/Music and through my inline headset can be obnoxious too. (Some folks still think they are in their personal shower, and this is distracting at worst, annoying at the very least.) The Machines: For the few Treadmills that remain online, one can often experience a myriad of issues, (such as forced 30min counters that cant be modified beyond max 30mins. The emergeny stop string is super delicate on nearly all machines; the slightest touch of the string or tremble while jogging at 6.5-7 spd can accidentally disable the machine mid run. Some buttons on other Treadmills simply dont work at all. (Wear and tear and user misuse.) PF staff and engineers, 1) Fix and better maintain your machines. 2) Remove and/or warn disruptive guests. I know its the Bronx and perhaps folks are, (a bit more lenient to cause a stir,) avoiding confrontation but i imagine this isnt the lax nature in other facilities. Also, all of your signage clearly state these behaviors as the "Donts" Do better please!

Great place to work out and the staff are Super friendly.

Every time that I put a feet in the place, I’m not welcome by the members of the staff that are located on the entrance. I’m coming every morning with a guest; my guest doesn’t speak English, so every time that he tries to communicate or ask for something, he ask to me to tell to those staff members what he needs, when obviously they speak Spanish too, cause they get what his saying to them. Furthermore, for answer to him, they asked me to translate for him. Poor service and they attend like if they’re doing a favor to you. Just waiting till the end of the month, cause already paid, to look somewhere else to train.

I love this gym! There’s a lady named Barbara she is amazing!! I went to just to see the membership offers and she explained everything in detail!! She gave me a tour and gave me so much information! She deserves a raise or a promotion because she was attentive and extremely friendly very helpful thank you so much!!!!

Compare to other planets Fitness this is the dirtiest one, the bathroom urinal have such a bad smell and is yellow. Please ask personal yo to more higienes we don’t deberse to be smelling bad odors in the bathroom.

I love this gym. A definite needed location in The Hub (Mott Haven/3rd Ave shopping area). Always clean, and rarely busy. There are plenty of machines, and free weights and open space. The spa is also a decent plus and makes having a VIP membership worth it.

Huge selection of exercise equipment, never over crowded, near train and buses. Of course, you can't beat their prices. I highly recommend this fitness center.

I give it a 5, #1 reason is the parking. Alot others don't have that. Alot more people wear mask then other planet fitness I've been in, and the people are pretty cool too.

Clean which I like. The young lady that gave me a tour I think Lisa or Leslie was so sweet. She gave me great tips and showed me all the equipment. I really like the relaxation area the last planet fitness I went to spa area was not that nice. Seems to get busy after 5pm. Luckily I was leaving around that time. Pretty good first impression. Will be going to there more often. I do wish there was parking but I was able to find parking a few blocks away. May see if I can bring my e scooter in the future. I also love the app

I went to the planet fitness location last week to get information for my sister’s and I , since we have just moved to the area and there was a gentleman that greeted us and treated us very nice and he explained everything in details. I love when I walk into a place and there are individuals that love their job and treat you with the upmost respect and knows their job very well . Kevin Martinez showed us around and explained in details the amenities of the black card spa and the 90 minute circuit which was mainly what I was interested in and he explained everything in both languages! You don’t see that everyday and I greatly appreciate it ! I did sign up and I will continue to go to this gym and say hi to Kevin every chance I get ! He deserves all the stars on their rating ! Outstanding customer service !

Great place to workout. Have been working out at this location for the past 4 months, clean establishment and honestly a judgement free zone. Want to give a shout out to staff member Kevin. Kevin is a great source of information regarding the amenities PF has too offer, takes the time to answer any questions, as well as too encourage not only myself as well as other members to keep going. He always greets clients with a smile. The location is blessed to have someone who takes his job as serious as he does.

I usually go early in the morning because there are less people in the gym. The staff do go around and clean the machines and when we couldn't find a pair of 10lbs dumbbells one of the staff members got them. They only thing that's annoying are when people think it's their personal gym and use a lot of dumbbells at once 🙄

They are so clean, and professional. I know the whole staff, and they make feel so happy when I work. So excited about the classes they have in the morning. Wanna work here. Where's that application?

Sadly as a member of PF for years today at 3:16 the 3rd Ave location in the Bronx employee told me I had to pay 5 dollars to use that gym. I'm a currently a member at the location on Pelham in the Bronx. I know for a fact that women and other non my color people with a classic membership have not been charged to use that specific gym despite being a home member at another location. Not only was it rude it was smug. Like stated I've used PF in Chicago with this same membership so for a gym in my own Burrough to try charging 5 dollars for a neighboring gym is insulting.

The employee was very rude & always have an attitude toward me & my guest, I defended myself planet cancelled my membership without any warning & won't allow me to workout there anymore

I went at the right time (afternoon). 👍 Easy to get to via train or bus. It was nearly empty, I was able to do a complete workout and use the hydro massage bed. In addition, the staff was very professional and the facility was clean. 👍

I'm going in the morning, and how bad it is so dirty and there are no supplies in the morning to clean the machines properly. On Monday, I took two bottles of disinfectant and gave it to the hand of the person at the front desk. I usually go at night where one of the guys, I think his name is Kevin, he's very friendly, he's attentive. But there are others in others who do not even say hello, not out of obligation, but out of politeness. PS: I use PF because I travel to other states and go.

Been going for a few months now. Definitely would recommend. Staff is great, very helpful. Obviously it's not one of the more expensive gyms so don't expect the weights /machines to be completely perfect, but generally speaking, I've never had a problem thus far !

Very nice staff and public in general, easy to attend to because of the practical and efficient working hours. The place is clean but the clientele could contribute a bit more.

Bathroom was disgusting dirty not enough equipment for everybody. No staff was reracking weights if you try to find certain pounds you have to search the whole gym to find them and hope no one else is using them. I don't know how this place is still in business

The hours are convenient, the cleanliness is great. Zero issues.

I feel comfortable in this place. it's very clean and the people are nice. There are a lot of machines and it's opened 24/7 so you can go any time.

I love that they're open 24/7 again. Happy there are so many machines to keep the flow of traffic low.

Like many Planet Fitness gyms, this particular location has most of the equipment, machines, free weights and even the space to engage in heavy rope exercises. As their slogan says, no matter your current level of fitness, you'll be entering a judgment free zone. If cardio is your thing... they got it. Cycles, rowing, stair climbing, elipticals and of course adjustable incline treadmills. Want to be coached? Check! Just book a session with Alan early mornings or throughout the day. Only got 30 mininutes? Check! Head upstairs to the yellow circuit area by the windows and engage in a total body conditioning workout. Kick it up a notch and don't skip the quick step platforms. They have a handle bar just incase you need to hold on. You can never be too careful, right? The purple machines will exercise both sides of your body independently to ensure equal strength development. Upgrade to Black card membership to access the relaxation area to soothe tired muscles from head to ankles. Spend upto 10 minutes tanning and 12 minutes in the vibra massage booth to improve circulation and reduce celulite. Then chill on the comfey black sofas while being entertained by current music artists on one of many large flat screen TVs throughout the facility. Always clean. Since the incorporation of new COVID protocols, you're reminded to be considerate of other members to keep "it squeaky"... And it is. No matter what time you drop in, it's never crowded. Personally, I do prefer to exercise around midnight or early. Just fits my schedule. But its open 24-7. So, just drop in. They have replaced all broken locks so your items should be perfectly safe. I tend not to shower after a workout, due to cold nights and chilly mornings in the Winter as I write this. The water temp could be 3-7 degrees warmer, but then I really prefer hot showers to warm... So what's missing? No rings. No hanging bars for supine hanging planks. No climbing ropes. No big tires to pick up and push over, or to hit with sledge hammers. No heavy sleigh to push or pull across the floor. Really want those? Join Golds gym instead. I think they folded during the lock downs in Brooklyn. No swimming pool... The YMCA are about to open up in the Summer just 125 yards away. No sauna too - I expect that the new "Y" should have those facilities for about double the Black card membership price. Membership pricing? Definately, less than Blink as there's no extra charge levied for personal training sessions. What's gone? No more bagel and orange juice breakfast Tuesdays or all you can eat Pizza Mondays... But the fridge with cool drinks remains. All in all, one of the better big box gyms. Join, use it regularly and transform. Get those natural endorphines flowing. Be stronger. Stand taller. Get leaner. And smile. Your body will thank you and any mental lethagy will clear. For about $11 to $24pm a bargain...

The staff is friendly and pleasant. The members respect each other's time on machines. No clunking or banging equipment. Very clean. I come in the morning between 830am and 10am

I don't like the new design. They don't have all the equipment they used to have but you gotta make it what it is and deal with this location has and it's near my home.

It's a gym. I am new so was a bit lost however it has lots of equipment spaced apart was not too many people I didn't see anyone cleaning down everything down as I use to in GA even before covid. It did look very clean and was empty so that could be the case. Cleaning products were laid out for us to wipe the machine before and after. I can just be a little spoiled by LA Fitness The front desk staff seemed friendly. I wish there was someone to give me a tour so this is why I give 4 stars instead of 5

My first time ever joining a Gym. I chose planet fitness because it is close to home, it is very clean and a young man name Justin Helped me out. Very sweet and customer service fits him very well.

This gym is awesome . The staff is always on point ... Led by Barbara , John , Lisa , Donnell , Jason , Etc . They are always professional and accommodating . I have been going there for years and they always have a wonderful staff . Including the former third avenue manager Daisy that relocated to another planet Fitness ( where she was needed ) . If you're looking for a comfortable environment with a helpful staff then you will enjoy this gym .

I went to plant fitness last night and I asked around for someone to help me and the only one that helped me was a worker named Kevin, I had to ask him his name because he answered all my questions about the gym, he explained things in details . I was so happy someone that knows what they’re talking about . I hope we get better workers like him in all jobs around the world the world will be a way better place! Shout out to you Kevin !!

Yes my favorite machine was out of service but I still got a good work out of it

It was very easy to fine. The staff were all friendly. In the gym look clean. The only concern is that. In the women looker room. There are three showers. Two for regular. In the third is for handicapped.

Definitely been to better PF locations. Staff are extremely friendly and work really hard. The members are just nasty, messy. The members just never put any equipments back to its rightful place that you’ve to literally walk around the entire gym to find the dumbbells and etc. The staff work very hard but there’s only but so much they can do. It’s literally a place where teenagers come to hang out and make a scene. Equipments are barely available either it’s broken or always hoarded. If you want to use the Smith machine, you’re better off buying your own or don’t come between the hrs of 5pm to 11pm which is the time most can make it from work. The pads of the Abs machines are all torn up like used rubber (not hygienic in my opinion).

Had my lock broken into and items taken…the team at the front desk were very helpful and understanding..but apparently this was the 7th robbery in a week…@owner… would be nice to call the victims/members of such crimes at your location to express remorse #customerservice

Very affordable, clean lockers smells great! self confidance with all of the sings of no critics, you belong, giving you and great time and motivations, great staff, everytime I go to the planet fitness I feel happy and positive! Thanks alot! Great job!

I enjoy the fact that every machine is available in the gym. I've been to every single Bronx location, and this one, by far, is the most equipped. I also enjoy that machines are repaired in a timely fashion. Other areas in the Bronx will remain broken for months at times. There is a diverse staff of employees, which calls for further feelings of comfort. MY ONE WISH IS that this location was still 24 hours. It's not been easy navigating crowded peak hours since everyone is now trying to fit their workout in a location with hours of operation that have been minimized. This adjustment would increase my rating to a ten easily, wholeheartedly, and humbly. I understand the strain that a 24-hour schedule would put on your employees. Thank you all for what you do. I know this job is not easy. I appreciate every single employee in that purple shirt. Happy New Year. :)

I’ve been a member for about a year & go mostly at night. The whole night team is sooo helpful, and supportive. Steven, Darius, Cris, & Kevin always make sure the gym is clean & honestly the best part of going. Also the manager Diana is always around & very helpful & friendly, also I love they all speak Spanish and are able to help more people.

The gym is always clean and has almost all the equipments. It motivates me to workout everyday because it’s just the way I like it.

I love going at night!!! Cris, Steven, Darius, and Kevin are always very attentive and kind to me and I love that they speak Spanish. Everything super clean and in order.
