🫤 Unfortunately, the worst Mac n Cheese I’ve ever had. From the texture to the taste it had nothing to do with „original vegan Mac n cheese“. I cannot give this place 0 or 1 stars because I was so happy to see the vegan community grow and the service was good. However I will give the benefit of the do... People often mention vegan, fries, good, nice, burger, salad, great, location, cheese, super,

Unfortunately, the worst Mac n Cheese I’ve ever had. From the texture to the taste it had nothing to do with „original vegan Mac n cheese“. I cannot give this place 0 or 1 stars because I was so happy to see the vegan community grow and the service was good. However I will give the benefit of the doubt and hope the other food options on the menu are better. (Maybe I will try something different next time) I couldn’t and didn’t finish eating the dish, but sure did finish the refreshing lemonade. See pictures and videos.

Nice place, reasonable prices. Got a guac burger, tasted nice. The sweet potato fries were a bit soggy. Took a while to get the order but good stop overall.

Very cute spot with few tables for indoor dining. Delicious vegan menu and prices are good but some portions are smaller than expected. We had a vegan burger, mac and cheese and a Quinoa salad with tacos and avocado. If wanting a big protion but to feel light, I recommend eating the salads. They accept card only payment. All together a very nice place which I will visit again.

Love their peanut crunch and guac burger. We had asked them to do the burger without the onions which they forgot, rest was all good. The fries within the same bag are a hit/miss. Some are great and crispy while others needed more cooking time

Done with this place. Fries are always soggy. Staff never cares, always aloof. You wait forever for them to come out the back and wait on you and they typically have attitude. Today was the final straw as apparently they won't accept cash payments. Being cashless is elitist at best, and also illegal here in NYC. I won't be returning, there's other vegan options that are better. UPDATED 0531/22: I am responding to the owners message. NYC requires cash payments to be accepted in all dining establishments. You are currently facing multiple fines from the city already for violating this rule. If you truly cared about COVID 19 as you say thats why you don't accept cash your employees would actually wear masks in store and you would have hand sanitizer, neither things happen in this store. Due to the multiple reasons I will certainly never be trying you again. I had previously been a regular customer, but don't support elitist anti cash restaurants.

Coming from out of state, I'm always looking for something that NYC has to offer that I cannot access in my town. Beatnic was it! I had the buffalo cauliflower and the mushroom salad, and both did not disappoint! The buffalo cauliflower was perfectly crispy even though I ordered later in the evening. The mushroom salad was full of that umami flavor and very refreshing. My friend recommended Beatnic to me, and I'd absolutely recommend it to others.

I ate at this location a bunch of times when this was still By Chloe’s, it was always amazing. This Beatnic thing, on the other hand, is just beyond disappointing. The fries used to be my fav thing to eat here because they’re air fried. The fries I had today were awful. How do you even mess up fries 😭 Very dry and had some weird crust. The burger I ordered arrived at my table barely warm and so dry (the patty and the bun!) that I had to drench the whole thing in the dipping sauce the fries came with to be able to eat it. I really hate leaving bad reviews for vegan places but if I wasn’t vegan and ate here I would probably never go vegan :( Please go somewhere else if you’re a new vegan, I promise there’s amazing vegan food at other places.

I really wanted to like the Mac and Cheeze but the sauce is taste-wise not well balanced. The taste of yeast is to strong and it is lacking the soft sourness that usually milk-based products have. Please work on that product. Service and location were nice.

Their guac burger is super unique and delicious! It has pico de gallo, guacamole, corn and tortilla chips on the burger. The patty is really good and doesn’t taste like a black bean patty. The Mac and cheese id cheesy and doesn’t have a strong cheese flavor but is very creamy! I’d still recommend trying it! The restaurant also has some cute and fall items up!

Second location I've visited for this restaurant. I purchased the falafel wrap and sweet potato fries (which are air fried); enjoyed my meal but the wrap was overstuffed, and it got messy. Never had air fried fries and they were a soft, moist & light texture. One cool thing I didn't expect -- Bowie themed restroom. Sorry no photos. However I did get photos of their Lexington Ave. location located on 54th Street.

I was in Chelsea and wanted to get a quick veggie lunch and online saw Beatnic - Flatiron location so preordered some sides. I got the mac n cheese with the dried mushrooms on the side, the cauliflower bites, and the chicken tenders. the cauliflower bites were really good; the mac n cheese decent and i’m glad i got the dried mushrooms on the side; the chicken tenders were a disappointment overall a good and quick veggie place

I love this restaurant, in any location! Always down for a place that’s all vegan. Not to mention, the food is great. Love getting the Mac n cheeze, but pictured is the chikn wrap which was good. Expensive, as is anything in NYC. But I’ll be back!

Superb place... though we by mistake went for breakfast... its predominantly a lunch and dinner place... very limited options for breakfast but whatever we had was out of the world... looking forward to visiting the place again

I ordered a wrap & mixed fries. I noticed dead lettuce on the wrap as I ate it. The fries were soggy, and looked like they were from yesterday. I went back in to get better fries. The guy was cool about it and explained they don’t fry their fries, they bake them. Anyways, the second fries were definitely fresher than the first batch. The customer service was good but these ppl don’t cook with love.

got a chicky caesar wrap and fries, tastes great! but only one person in the kitchen, i think it’s unfair for that person to do the job of several people, it is stressful, even though they were doing their job properly.

Not appreciate the sarcasm coming from the guy who work in the counter. Just tell me straight if the food is not ready because they are short staffed in the kitchen instead of saying " no, we decided not to make your order" when I asked about how much longer the order will take. It's a fast food restaurant, not an Open Mike stage, in case you get confused.

Honestly it was okay. Good vegan burger but not very filling. Glad I tried it but I don’t know if I’ll go back.

All meals are pricey for the low calories that they serve per meal. Won't fill you and too heavy on the leaves part of the meal. Friendly staff. Clean and good interiors. Won't repeat.

Very clean place. Love the decor-very boho feel. Friendly staff. Vegan mac n cheese was great. They even had a "eggnot nogg cocktail"- which was amazing! Had no clue this place could sell alcohol- but yum! Sounds odd but. You have to check out their bathroom! ADORABLE mushroom wallpaper- very unique! Never seen such neat wallpaper in my life- and I have traveled afar. They also had a pretty sweet dessert case!

Vegan super delicious ! I really like this place to hang out with friends and eat a super delicious food. You don't have to be vegan to go in. The food is great and you not going to notice you are eating a vegan food. Their specialty is air bake sweet potato fries and beet ketchup!

Absolute best experience, the person at the counter was super helpful with the menu and also went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of. He deserves to be given a big raise

UPDATE y’all responded to me 8 months later with “we’ll pass the note along”…. Very disappointed. ALLOW TIPS. It’s embarrassing that I can’t tip electronically here. Review: (DEAR MANAGEMENT: no electronic tipping? Please change this.) Literally some of the most satisfying vegan food around. Delicious, and offers health food and healthy “junk” food. Staff was also super friendly and on top of everything. Cant recommended more, definitely also a place you can feel confident bringing a non vegan. :)

Cheeky lunch break - with the view of beautiful Olive Garden in front 💙 Not a fan of the coffee but next door is serving illy, so I will stop by there next time. Chicken salads is exceptionally delicious, vegan food here are as good as my vegan friends say they were. I normally don’t trust vegans 👀 feel like they’re always playing 0 truth and 2 lies when it comes to food recommendations, but this place gets my gold star...

The flatiron location lists that it opens at 3pm on Google. I placed my order for the Rock Lobster Roll on the Beatnic App to pick up shortly after opening. When I arrived, there were other customers in the store and I walked up to the unmanned register and waited for a few minutes. Someone eventually came to the register to tell me that they were closed. Neither Google business nor your app reflects that Beatnic is closed to customers until 4pm on saturdays. Why was the store open with customers in it if the location was unprepared to take orders and not “technically open”? Why does your app allow for placing orders at locations that are not serving food? This business is a tragic mess. The employee at the register was far from apologetic, didn’t care about the inconvenience and suggested I figure out how to get a refund off the app myself, which btw, there is no option to request a refund on your useless app. It’s no wonder your business is doing so poorly nowadays. I literally ate here almost every day. Not anymore.

Not really impressed. Soggy fries. Cold Buffalo bites , cold chewy veggie tenders. Mezza salad was ok but dry and needs more dressing and the hard kale stems removed. Really nice space though. Clean and friendly staff.

New office in the area. Went around 1pm to grab lunch without ordering ahead and there was no line and it was super quick! Thai peanut salad or whatever they call it is always my go-to, just ask for extra peanut dressing!

Superb as usual. I had the “chicken” salad with a lemonade. Perfect match for a hot day in NY
