This place is one of the best in NYC. There are many combinations for vegan sandwiches and a rotating specials menu. The workers are super friendly and the food is delicious. Definitely recommend the spicy seitan turkey or seitan pepperoni sandwiches!!

Seitan’s Helper has an awesome thing going on. It’s a vegan deli, with all its meats made from seitan, in-house, from scratch with cheeky names for its sandwiches like Evil Twin and The Omen. And they are delish! Had the BEC from their standard menu which comes with their chickpea nomelette with maple bacon and red pepper jam on a potato onion roll. Also tried The Creature from their specialty menu made with grilled chik’n and red peppers, cashew mozzarella, olive tapenade, and chimi churri sauce on focaccia. These sandos do not skimp on flavor. Like the place, they burst with personality. Can’t recommend Seitan’s Helper enough. It made my day.

Funny name! Tried this place for the first time and was blown away. Ladies working there provided great customer service and made my sandwich super delicious. I will be back often. I had the sexy devil and want to try other sandwiches for sure. Keep up the great work!

Easily my favorite sandwich shop in NYC. I've never been disappointed and have probably gone like 10-15 times. Their seitan is second to none. Their sauces, bread and all ingredients are amazing. You can tell everything is made with love. Their potato salad is also simply perfection. Everyone is so friendly in there. Service is great and they always give spot on recommendations for what you're looking for. You can even build your own sandwich. Simply a delight and an absolute gem. I'm a customer for life.

This place is a true rare gem. The service is the best I've had anywhere. After 2 or 3 times there they knew me by name. And their branding is on point because I'm sure there must be some dark arts going to make food this good so consistently. I've tried most things on the menu, and love to try their specials. I've never had anything but amazing food. I could go on about the merits of supporting local small businesses, particularly those run by diverse people. But really if you want to know why it's important, do yourself a favor and try this place. They do a better job of demonstrating the value of small, diverse businesses than anything I could write here.

While their food is great, they incredibly limited hours make it quite difficult to enjoy what they have to offer. Several times i have gone they have not been open despite being within their posted hours. Definitely worth calling and checking to confirm they are open.

Amazing vegetarian focused sandwiches. They are very popular, so highly recommend calling your order in ahead. Also sells some of their product to customers and other businesses. Hope they stick around!

My very non vegan mother even loved it. I don't go out a lot when I visit NY because the service and quality for the cost typically ain't it. This place was the opposite of that experience in every way - Food is fresh and delicious, owners very much the vibe, and all so reasonable. Could only finish half my sandwich, and still needed to order more from the deli for takeout!

First time stopping by today before a show at the Mirage. I enjoyed the Zombie’s Bride, buffalo tofu sandwich, was hearty and fresh! The people working were very kind and helpful in creating the best sandwiches for us!

This place was really good. My son, who is four, are his full sandwich. He typically deconstructs things bc he is four and doesn’t like to mix stuff. He loved his sandwich and even asked his dad to try his vegan seitan ham. This place is four year old approved! The service and door are wonderful. The two employees were attentive, friendly, and kind. Great experience. Thank you SH❤️

They have the best vegan sandwiches! I ordered the evil twin (vegan roast beef) and it was incredible. I cannot recommend this place enough. It’s so worth checking out and I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve been vegan for 3 years and couldn’t stand plant-based deli meat until I found this place. The food tastes incredible and always makes me feel amazing after unlike the grogginess that comes with some other meat substitutes. The staff is also super friendly and helpful! This place has possibly become my favorite vegan spot and I can’t recommend it enough.

Visited New York and was happy to find this wonderful spot. The staff was super friendly, the food was amazing, and the space is nice for a quick bite. I will be dreaming about the A.M Rito every morning for the rest of my life — can’t say enough good things about this place! Thanks for creating a delicious vegan space <3

This place is great for vegans and non-vegans alike. I do suggest you go when it’s not as busy for a quick bite to go. I ordered a Baddie BLT, and knowing a lot of the ingredients are fresh and prepared in-house really elevated the experience. The person preparing the food is super dope and friendly and I can see myself returning to try something else. The only thing I’ll say is that I found the cheese to be a tad salty for my liking, but it could just be me, I still thought it was great. 4.5/5 but I’ll give them 5 stars!!!

Excellent prices, excellent food, excellent people! I love Seitan’s Helper and you should have FOMO if you haven’t been yet. Truly cannot beat their price points for delicious vegan sandwiches that don’t leave you hungry. Their classics are so good and they offer a lot of sandwich specials which means you can always try something new. I had the Slenderman today: house seitan salami + pepperoni, red onion, pickled green tomato, cashew mozzarella, banana peppers, baby kale, and balsamic vinaigrette on toasted sliced rye. The pic doesn’t do it justice. Thankful to feast here!

Was walking to the subway after doing some work related stuff in the area. As I was walking, I turned my head and saw this place. I’ve heard of this place before and decided to check it out. Best decision of the day. The staff was amazing, plus the sandwich I ordered might have been one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had . I was suppose to cook tonight, but I’m glad I didn’t. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Go vegan

Hands down the best vegan sandwich I had. I am visiting from Chicago, which still doesn’t have a huge variety of vegan restaurants yet, so food was everything in this trip!! This place was amazing. Sweet staff and amazing sandwiches. I wish it was open tomorrow, I would have gone back for more. Definitely will be back when I’m back in NYC
