It’s a nice area to visit on the way to the Brooklyn Bridge. You can ride a bicycle or relax on a bench. It could be crowded in summer.

Really cool wood statues representing seeds... And the Triumph of the Human Spirit sculpture pays homage to the African slaves buried at that site.

Beautiful little park, and a nice sport to grab a coffee and sit while exploring this area and the financial district. Lots of benches, and an interesting collection of art.

This is a great park to sit and ponder about life and all that it has to offer. I stumbled upon it when I needed a break from biking and to get some work done. There isn’t too much noise which is perfect in the middle of a bustling city.

This park at 5 points. Historical area, surrounded by courts. It clean, but with the migrants crowding the area it got dirty. Overall, it's had better days.

Great place for a picture; across the street, you have whole foods. Adjacent is Columbus Circle and foodtrucks and Central Park.

Thomas Paine Park / Foley Square It’s a beautiful park with water fountain and interesting sculpture near the court house. The court house and the surrounding buildings are all amazing architecture to enjoy. Now has enormous interesting sculptures in the park, come and check them out!

Cute little park surrounded by government buildings, including the Supreme Court. Usually well kept and clean, with plenty of benches for seating, entrance to the subway system, and bike paths on both sides.

There is a solemn dignity to this place.

Feels like a very large sidewalk to cross while walking somewhere and not a place to relax. The design feels kind of sterile, not friendly or relaxing, and the planted area is poorly maintained. Not really a good spot to hang out unless you work adjacent and don't have time to go elsewhere

Nice respite across from many courts. Many times Law and Order filmed here and on the steps of the court house's. My daughter worked the show for sometime. I am there occasionally.

I love walking through lower Manhattan when the working class has mostly gone home. There is a wealth of architectural beauty on every block and such beauty will never come around again. At least not by the skilled craftsmen of yesteryear.

Too close to the courts, however it's a vastly improved and developed area now. I would give 4 stars instead of the 3, here, although - this is unfortunately a popular place for staging/starting - "peaceful protesting" (I'm guessing because of its close proximity to all the borough's local and federal courts 😉).

It looks beautiful at night. Photos comes out beautifully with the street lights and background of the buildings landscapes.

Mainly for local and nearby residents, not a popular place for tourists so it’s much better to have some quite place to do simple jogging or walk your pet around

The park's design is open and welcoming but groundskeeping has definitely slacked off.

In the summer it's fun sitting by the fountain. You can even get a small cool shower from a breeze blowing the water.

The park is lake bottom land! Its shores were beautiful resting places for the dead. The African Burial Ground National Monument lies to the west, while the oldest Jewish burial ground in North America (Shearith Israel) is on the east. Chinatown and all its 300+ restaurants is nearby, and so is the Brooklyn Bridge.

It's a nice little park to sit at. Unfortunately, it was kinda cold out the day I visited or I would've stayed & explored more. If you visit a place to eat that has no seating, you can bring your food here & relax.

A nice park to breathe and sit on benches. Nothing special except the art demonstrations from time to time.

It's a real nice quiet place with wooden decor in the center of all of the government buildings.
