Lovely well-maintained park with some amazing views of the Queensborough Bridge, Roosevelt Island and Manhattan skyline. Arrived at around 1pm on a nice Sunday and was able to find adequate street parking along Vernon Blvd, about one block away from the park's entrance. Lots of lawn space for picnics. Bathrooms available. Volleyball court.

I have visited Queensbridge Park in Long Island City multiple times, and each visit has been a delightful experience. The 20.34-acre park, nestled along the East River, serves as a verdant urban oasis, providing a tranquil retreat amid the bustling cityscape. The park's location, named after the nearby Queensboro Bridge, is convenient and affords spectacular views of the city skyline that make for gorgeous photo opportunities. On several occasions, I've enjoyed walking along the riverfront promenade, capturing the city's beauty and the candid moments of people I know against such a stunning backdrop. But the park is more than just a scenic spot. It's a vibrant hub of community activity, serving as a primary place of recreation for residents of the Queensbridge Houses and beyond. The diversity of its amenities, including baseball diamonds, running paths, and picnic areas, make it a go-to place for individuals and families alike. Whether you're an athlete, a casual walker, or someone seeking a quiet spot to enjoy a book, Queensbridge Park has something for everyone. One of the park's standout features is its decadent summertime live concert series. The pulsating rhythm of music under the open sky, coupled with the crowd's enthusiasm, creates an electric atmosphere that's hard to forget. I've enjoyed various performances, with music ranging from R&B to Latin, bringing the garden to life. The Queensbridge Little League finds its home here, fostering community and sportsmanship among the youngsters. Seeing these budding athletes play and grow in the park's welcoming environment is heartwarming. What's more, the cleanliness and upkeep of the park, including its public bathrooms, are impressive. It is clear that the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, which has operated the park since it was acquired by the city government in 1939, takes great pride in maintaining this public space for all to enjoy. Queensbridge Park is more than just a park. It's a community hub, a concert venue, a sports field, and a scenic vista all rolled into one. It's a testament to the spirit of Queens and a jewel in the crown of Long Island City. I highly recommend a visit to anyone seeking a slice of urban tranquility amidst the concrete jungle of NYC.

This park is gorgeous! It has paths for bikes and for walking, overlooks the water and sunset here is absolutely brilliant! Please maintain the cleanliness! Look, if the crowds of stoners can keep this place clean, anyone can. Biking through this park is a calming and relaxing trip, I take this long way to my girlfriends house from Queensbridge. Enjoy it while it isn't too crowded. If you like my reviews, hit the thumbs up. I try to put effort in these reviews to better prepare people for their upcoming experiences, unlike others who post up single word reviews just to say they are, "local guides." I appreciate all the views and love you all give! ❤

Very spacious and peaceful. We walked here from Sweet Chicks then caught an Uber back to hotel. We saw famous Queens borough Projects where Nas and other rappers grew up.

Very nice park with beautiful views of Manhattan. On the last day of our week in New York City, we bought lunch at a local deli, then came here to enjoy our meal. Sat on a park bench and enjoyed the view. Weather was beautiful.

Such a cool place for a morning walk! It has a beautiful river view with the reflection of the bridge. It was a nice way to start off the day having a quick walk here. It was less busy during the morning compared to the Central Park. Finding a parking spot was so difficult but it was all worth it.

My husband and I went on August 6, 2023 for the Hip Hop 50th Anniversary block party. It was a free event sponsored by Adidas, and we were get free hot dogs and drinks, which we enjoyed. It's a little scary going to the park from Queensboro Plaza Station, but during the day it was no problem and the view was nice.

This is my very first time in the Queensbridge Park which is clean, grass is green and well-trimmed. There aren't that many people in the park today. That allowed us to take some photos and moved around where we wanted to. We drove to the park, but parking space is scare. I'd recommend a stroll in this park to anyone.

Great NYC park just north of the Queensboro bridge, between Vernon Boulevard and the East River. Two public restroom houses, a bike lane accross, plenty of trees, great views of Manhattan.

The Park has a stunning view of the moon, skyscrapers and skyline, but it lacks proper maintenance from District 1. The Queen's Park requires more attention from the district for better. Attractive to a diverse group of locals, all of whom are typically friendly. The river-side setting of this outdoor space makes it a lovely place to spend time in the city. However, the bathroom access can be a nuisance, as they're sometimes locked, but when available they're usually well-maintained. The water fountains are operational when the weather permits upkeep.

Being stock in traffic could be difficult to accept most times... On this day, I took the opportunity relax and take in the beautiful views and I'm glad I did. Lovely weather on the day and I took it all in.

More crowded than I'd been hoping for, but that's not the park's fault I suppose... quite a few parties although, you can find a little seclusion if you're careful.

A cute local park with a view to Queensboro Bridge and Midtown Manhattan. A good place to walk your dog off-leash before 9am or after 9pm.

Nice enough park, thin grass but otherwise very large and spacious. There’s a nice long walk along the water and the view of the bridge is pretty amazing. Benches just got a new coat of paint and I’ve heard there are restorations in process to add more trash cans and sports fields.

Nice park during the day and early evening, don't know about night time visits, though! Cookouts allowed, water available, as well as restroom facilities, always a plus, and these are fairly well maintained. Softball fields and volleyball courts too!

Great park on the border between Astoria and Long Island City. Has running/walking/biking trails and lots of green space. Also has a couple of sports fields that are usually pretty active. Attracts a great variety of neighbors and everyone is usually friendly. Lovely to spend time here by the river and enjoy this outdoor space in the big city. Bathrooms are sometimes locked which is a bit frustrating but when open they're generally well kept. Water fountains are usually on when it isn't too cold out.

Nice park with lot of space by riverside. Spaces to play rugby, baseball, football, volleyball and nice walking running area by the river side. A place to barbecue and hang around with friends on nice sunny day.

Cute park with a nice view of Roosevelt Island and the city beyond that. Definitely saw bathrooms, but didn’t use them. It’s packed with people having big parties, illegally grilling out and having fun. We had a lovely walk after dinner during sunset and enjoyed some time on a bench. Not the cleanest park. It need more garbage bins and people need to be more responsible. It’s gross to have garbage everywhere especially leftover food out under benches and overflowing bins for rats.
