Had a fantastic experience at the state and water park here. It was clean and staff were friendly. Prices were reasonable and the pool was clean but only 3 ft 6 inches sadly.

This hidden gem is tucked between I-278 and the East River in the Bronx. There is parking available within the park and on the street; the Metro North (Morris Heights stop) drops you off at the entrance. The park was recently renovated and updates include more barbecue grills & tables, an outdoor stage for musical performances, & new baseball, T-ball, and soccer fields. There is a playground, basketball court, kiddie pool, Olympic pool, and a deeper pool for diving. The main building also includes restrooms, Park Ranger office, and an indoor basketball court reserved for park leagues. Side note - this park has great views of High Bridge and the nearby High Bridge Water Tower for any NYC history buffs.

I have not been in this park for over 40 years and it looks totally different. I attended a school district event here and got to walk the park. The day was sunny and beautiful albeit hot. It was mostly empty on this day. The only downside is utter lack of parking in the area. Drove around for a long time looking for a decent spot.

This place gets a 5/5. It was my first experience there and I was pretty amazed. When I first got there there was a long line but went by pretty darn quick. Next we pay for our bands to get in, 15 & up is $2 and under that is $1. Under two years is free. There’s absolutely no outside food allowed in the pool including gum. Only water is allowed. They will confiscate and not return. At the moment there isn’t any locker rooms but I was perfectly fine with that since they still had a restroom. Once inside I noticed that the pool was 75% available but as soon as more people came they did open it some more. The diving pool was closed for the moment for the obvious lack of guard situation. The kiddy pool and sprinklers were open and clean. I didn’t get to go to the food court but seemed like they had everything in order and quick access. Clean and drama free experience. My kids & I loved it & enjoyed ourselves very well.

A hidden gem of the BRONX. This park is big and clean. They have several picnic tables with grills, significant play areas for small children, and a nice deck with seating to take in the sun. And a recreation is for kids. They have a considerable pool clean with plenty of lifeguards. Adults pay 2 dollars while kids pay 1. They require everyone to have a bathing suit, and the hours to be in the pool are divided into two sessions a morning, 10-1:30, and from 2:30 to 6 p.m. The only con is parking, but if you are patient, you will find a spot. Highly recommend!

When I first moved to River Park Towers, I found it incredibly fortunate to have a state park as your backyard. In the cooler months like feb-march the park isnt too impressive because like most things in the Bronx, it's neglected until it can become a tourist attraction in the summer. That being said it's wonderful now, the grills are open, still waiting on the pool (also waiting to see how the hygiene of the pool will be maintained) and there are amazing views of the city. My dog and I are big nature lovers so I try and get as close to the water or to secluded nice views as possible. Defintely a great park for the Bronx to have, I just hope with it's rising sucess, it doesn't gentrify the area. I give it 4 stars because it needs a dog run at least in the nearby area, and it needs friendlier staff.

Excellent park and pool, very clean and organized. I highly recommend go and enjoy your morning or afternoon there. However, if you have kids with special needs as I do, bring your kid or kids in the morning. It is less crowded it.

Beautiful view and great big pool for the whole family. I went to just walk around and catch some sun and look out into the Harlem River. Very cool place. It's under construction 🚧 but what's there looks great so far.

Love this pool, not alot of people though it was weekdays when I went. The morning sessions was much quieter that the afternoon. In the afternoon session they have where you can purchase food.. the cheese burger was good and fries. Chicken tenders were ok. The only reason I gave it 4 stars. The ladies room by the pool only has 2 stalls. Such a huge pool and such a small bathroom. We did have fun on both days we went.

I do like the place, everything is clean, everyone keep distance. I recommend if you have a kids with special needs bring them in the morning because we tried to go back in the afternoon and it was a chaos. Too much people and don't follow the protocols as the mornings.

This park is really good and clean. Police and Park Security are everywhere always around guarding which is great. There's a area to grill and do little parties. The view by the river is so nice, boats passing through. The main pool is huge and lots of life guards and Security, very nice workers. There's a baby pool and a deep diver pool. There's also a sprinkler section. Sadly, you have to pay $2 to get in the pool for Adults and $1 for kids with Sessions (not an all day pool), so keep paying up to go back in because they cut the wrist bands once you're leaving the pool. They cook there, so bring cash to eat hot food. Anybody tries to fight, both parties are done and kicked out. Took one star off because pool Sessions when you have to pay.

Great pool cool relaxing, has a smoking (cigarette’s only) section, water park for the little ones, wheelchair accessible ramp and chair into water. However the commute is long very long 3 busses if you live in Manhattan or walking there. And the concession stand is only for able bodied people not ADA accessible.

My cousin gave a cookout it was my first time there I only new about the pool never the park. But the place is beautiful they had parking they had a.little playground plenty of seating and they have grills and you can go stand by the water and look out and have a peaceful moment. I highly recommend but if you want a certain spot you can reserve one for $50 it was well worth it and the bathrooms are clean.

This park has recently been renovated it looks great the lighting looks futuristic. the playground looks completely brand new. Picnic area has been redesigned. If you haven't been in the park in a while you'll be pleasantly surprised, here you can do everything from playing chess to swimming.

Nice, clean, friendly and has wheelchair accessibility 🦼, spend the morning with my mom, that was priceless. Plus after the first session. We took a stroll around the park ...lovely

The staff who worked there were really friendly, most of the people who visited were polite and respectful. But we went for he pool and there was a lot to be desired. The pool area and deck seemed well maintained and clean, but the splash pad was closed (which was why we chose this park in the first place) and only half of the pool was open. There were no steps or ladder entry into the pool, which made getting in and out a little difficult for my kids. Might be an issue for some seniors as well. I don't think we will be back.

The park is gorgeous. It's best to reserve a spot. Grills supplied. My pet peeve is people who do not respect boundaries. People walk through your reserved space, interrupting your family event. People come through while you're eating looking for bottles and cans. I told the guy, "Come back later, and I will have the bag of cans and bottles ready for him. At that moment, my family and I were eating. He came back and I gave him a big bag. Rest rooms are a mess because the park guests need it up. My grandson enjoyed the playground. Overall, it is not a bad place to host an event.

One of the nicer things about this is that it's position by a beautiful waterway. Lots of people get to enjoy the beautiful plants and trees. There's open spaces for picnics, or just to relax and enjoy the air.

It is a nice place but be careful of the bicycle path that leads to it in the Bronx. It appears to be a bicycle path through some of the way and the rest it seems to be an unmarked road. Then you have to go into what appears to be a private residential building. This is right along the major deegan highway. Hello Bronx please fix your bike paths.

We aren't new to this pool. My children loved it as always looking forward to the next time. The staff are great each and every one of them. Thanks to Francis Rodriguez for all of her assistance. Thank you.

My sister and I took my 9, 8, and 3 year old here today and we had a great time! We drove and were able to easily find parking on the street since it was a street cleaning day - just needed to be sure that we would leave by 11:30. We came for the first session and had the pool to ourselves for the first 15-20 minutes. Even when we left at 11, there were maybe just 20 people there. The water temp was perfection. The lifeguards and staff were super helpful. I really liked how you found be in the sprinkler area and still keep an eye on the big pool. After we swam, the kids washed to go to a playground which was also super fun and had a bunch of equipment that I'd never seen before. The whole park was really nice and we will definitely be back for another morning swim!!

For more than 20 years this park has helped me to mold and form high school teenagers into men. Kids get to play baseball at a state of the art facility that builds their self esteem. Every year the ball park improves. It's so much more than the games that happen here. I thank the good Lord above for Bobby Morris and his sense of mission and vision. I enjoy New York's state parks near and far. This place is saving kids. Roberto Clemente State Park might be the best of them all.

Nice pool too crowded not racially equal in attendance kinda make you feel like there is not enough security or wish you would've brought your own body guard . Preferably your own off duty officer who is licensed to carry
