Great park, although it's close in proximity to the nearby JFK International Airport. This place is great for snapping pictures of planes landing on runways 4L and 4R (you'll need a telephoto lens). There's also a little barbeque area if you plan to stay for the day.

Great park right on the water. Great spot for plane spotting. There is no parking lot for the park but did not have any problem parking on the street.

Bayswater Point State Park is a hidden gem in Queens. It's a small park, but it has a lot to offer. You can fish from the shore, and catch some flounder, bluefish, or striped bass. You can also have a picnic on the grass or on one of many picnic tables, and enjoy the views of Jamaica Bay. The park is very quiet and peaceful, except for the sound of planes taking off or landing at JFK Airport. That's actually one of the highlights of the park, because you can see the planes up close and take some awesome pictures of them. I had a blast doing that with my camera. If you're looking for a place to relax and have some fun, you should definitely visit this park!

Really cool place. Wanted to come here since I read that Billion Oyster Project created a reef here and posted some great underwater video of mummichogs on Youtube. I finally made it on a NY Botanical Garden Ecoflora outing. The day I was there 12/6/2020 was cold and windy but sunny and dry but I'll return in 2021 by A train and bike most likely in late summer.

Went for aircraft spotting, the park was quiet, probably because it was a cold day, but very clean and nice view of the aircraft flying overhead. It was nice for driving for a short amount of time to get away from the busy areas of nyc.

Decent place for planespotting but the park is a bit dirty and it's farther from JFK than you'd think. Definitely requires a high caliber camera and good long distance lens to capture any sort of coherent photo of the airplanes

A great place to sit and watch the water. Trees for shade and also sun. Lots of nature to enjoy. You are right at the end of a small peninsula, able to walk down to the water's edge. May see ducks, swans other birds. Can feed seed to the birds if you bring it. Quiet and peaceful place for family outing or for contemplation alone.

I visited at sundown so the sky was beautiful and the water right at the coast line was clear There were people fishing close by I really liked the peaceful atmosphere There's also a grassy area nearby with tables, seating and a butterfly 🦋 garden Nice place to visit as long as it's not too crowded

Absolutely 💯% loved it I'm into aviation and I'm a ham radio oper so I was able to activate the park and watch the planes take off and land at the same time and even met a really cool dude his name is archer so you already know I'm definitely going back to the park to play radio and chill peace out my peeps

Nice scenery, but in dire need of repair. Some areas were littered with used condoms and other trash and there was broken concrete in most areas. What a shame, it could be a very nice park.

The view is extraordinary! So vast, the view of the waters, buildings, & the view of the city. It's really beautiful.

Small patch surrounded by water. There has been some tree & phragmite removal recently, giving the park a more open feel and exposing it to wind coming off of the bay. Used to be less busy, which was part of its charm, now becoming more popular.
