If I could give zero stars I would. We spent a lot of money and we’re over charge by $200 for our bottle of wine. I wouldn’t mind but when they realized it was a mistake they didn’t even apologize, not the bartender or the manger. I don’t want anything in return but a simple sorry would of made me feel better after spending a lot of money at the bar! I have lived in the city for over ten years and I have worked in the industry. I never write reviews but this really left a bad taste in my mouth. How do you over charge by $200 for a bottle and just pretend it’s ok!!!

This place deserves 6 stars! Service was impeccable, from the entrance downstairs until we were seated at a table on the terrace. The cocktails were amazing (my favorites were the Eagle Eye and the New Me) - loved the glasses they served the champagne cocktails in! The decor is beautiful and the fresh lilies in the bathroom are a nice touch too. Absolutely recommend this place.

This place is the best, the people are extremely friendly and welcoming. I felt I was underdressed but unlike other places everyone that worked there was super nice and helpful and not once they looked down. The cocktails while pricey is totally worth it and even the deserts as well. I will Definitely go to this place again for date night or even just solo to get some good drinks.

Came by for a drink because I was in the neighborhood and had earmarked the bar after buying some really beautiful Baccarat rocks glasses. Opulent setting. Attentive, professional bar tenders. Good cocktail; not in the top tier of NYC for the price, but the ambience was worth the price for the experience.

A truly luxurious and unapologetically opulent place. A lively bar scene. At the same time very good and unpretentious service. Amazing cocktails, gorgeous glassware and decent wine selection by glass. Higher-end price point. If you are willing to splurge they got you, some cocktails are over $1000. But most are within 30$ range:) The Reach was amazing.

Stuck up, new money pretenders. Everything is exorbitantly expensive, and everyone knows it. Totally not worth it. Wait staff will make eye contact with you and walk away if for some reason at all they feel like it. Meanwhile, they’re thick as thieves with other tables, neglecting others. I spent $200 for two drinks and a lobster roll with fries. People will review this place positively to look suave, but it is of no real luxury standard in terms of quality or attention. Those who are discerning know it and stay away. Support the historic landmarks, like the Algonquin or St. Regis.

Very upscale bar. Sat down and was surrounded by baccarat crystals. Very attentive staff and amazing drinks served in beautiful crystal.

Disappointing. I wanted so much to like this place. The environment is elegant and beautiful and the staff was polite and attentive. Unfortunately that's the extent of the positive things I can say about the experience. At $30-$45 per cocktail, I was really expecting premium ingredients and an impressive presentation for the cocktails but The Bar at Baccarat just didn't deliver on either of these measures. The drinks tasted okay but they were not much different than what you can get at any other halfway decent cocktail bar. And despite the description on the menu promising "a smoke show" or other interesting presentations, our drinks arrived with very little presentation or flair. Have a question about the ingredients or the flavor profile for any of their signature drinks? Well, you're out of luck because (in our case) our server had not tasted any of the cocktails on the menu so he couldn't offer guidance or recommendations. As my Texas friends would say, The Bar at Baccarat is "all hat and no cattle". Save your money and skip this place.

Classy as classy can get. Bring a date if you're trying to impress or bring yourself if you just want perfect cocktails. Either way your bill will reflect the quality and service.

Very beautiful, sophisticated decor that offers dim lighting, craft cocktails, and small plates. $34 for a mixed drink seems steep to me however. The chicken sandwich was very good and priced reasonably.

if you haven't been, you are missing out. a grand, opulent space, ornate & luxurious down to the last details made democratic by a welcoming & knowledgable staff. some of the finest cocktails you will find anywhere at one of the finest bars you will find anywhere. the creme brulee is criminally delicious as is the iberico ham.

We are neighborhood clients,We walk in on Friday January 26th-2024(10:15pm) After waiting for someone we asked a waiter passing by,we need a table, his answer, let me call the hostess. The hostess came(guy)we pointed out 2 empty tables, he goes they are reserve (10:40pm) at this point, with an attitude,a college kid behind us request the same.at the same time 2 seats open at the bar, the hostess rush to the bar an offer 1 seat to the kid behind us, I go I'm waiting I'll take those 2 seats,he look at me like I have 10 heads. We going ahead seat at bar, the hostess tell the kid, you can have that table(the table that was supposed be reserve at 10:45 pm) At the bar we order Champagne an Martini, the second round the Martini was serve in a WATER GLASS,we ask why she goes I don't have anymore glasses.$45+ drink serve like that. They need to FIRE everyone or send them to a training class, learn from the stuff at the Carlyle, The Mark, Peninsula, King Cole Bar. etc Our experience at the restaurant is always good with our nice waiter Elez always ready to help. Last I did spoke to the hostess manager that night, was not to much help. If we spending $200 for 4 drinks not a problem, but I need my Martini in the proper glass. On top, we tip (shame on us) rate 1 b/c they should put 0 as well, this time they deserve a 0-

Forget your dimly lit speakeasies and your trendy rooftop havens, The Bar at Baccarat Hotel is a different breed of beast. It's a temple of opulence, a playground for the senses, and a testament to the finer things in life. From the moment you step through the Baccarat-adorned doors, you're transported to a world of glittering chandeliers, black and white marble floors, and velvet-accented seating that begs you to sink in and stay a while. We walked into The Bar after our off Broadway jaunt. Walking into The Bar feels like stepping into a luxurious Parisian salon, reimagined for the 21st century. Soaring barrel-vaulted ceilings adorned with intricate moldings and glittering chandeliers set the stage. Art, in all its forms, takes center stage: sculptures gleam amidst the plush seating, a massive tapestry hangs like a silent observer, and the iconic black and white harlequin floor adds a touch of playful drama. Every corner is a photo op, every detail a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship that went into creating this space. But The Bar isn't just about aesthetics; it's a haven for the social butterfly. Different lounge areas cater to different moods: the intimate booths tucked away offer a haven for hushed conversations, while the central bar buzzes with energy as expertly dressed bartenders craft bespoke cocktails. People-watching here is an art form. You'll find fashionistas sporting the latest trends, art collectors discussing their latest acquisitions, and power players making deals between sips of vintage Champagne. We enjoyed purveying the crowd while we sipped on our choice of top shelf tequila. Neat. And throughout it all, the service is nothing short of impeccable. The host greets you with a warm smile and a knowing glint in their eye, guiding you to the perfect spot to soak in the atmosphere. The waitstaff, as polished as the Baccarat crystals themselves, anticipate your every need and move with a quiet grace that befits the grandeur of the space. The Bar at Baccarat Hotel is more than just a bar; it's an experience. It's a place where luxury meets artistry, where conversation flows as smoothly as your choice of beverage, and where every detail is orchestrated to perfection. It's a playground for the discerning crowd, a haven for the socialite, and a feast for the senses for you when you decide to step through its doors.

The Bar at the Baccarat has always been a favorite of mine in New York. It's absolutely STUNNING and always a luxurious treat or gorgeous place to bring out of town guests. Last week I had an appointment at the LaMer spa in the Baccarat and arrived at the hotel early to enjoy the bar as a special treat for my birthday. The bar staff were so wonderful making me feel welcome and celebrated even though I was there by myself. I want to give a special shoutout and thank you to Debbie that taught me so much about all the beautiful chandeliers in the space, provided the best bar service, and surprised me with a birthday dessert and glass of champagne. The Bar can be hard to get a seat at because they don't offer reservations but don't miss the opportunity to enjoy this special space :)

POSH POSH POSH! Super elegant and quite nice staff as well. Very expensive so don't come here with penny pinchers aka Centavos. Well worth the splurge. Love this spot!

This place is overrated. Everything is crazy expensive and I’m personally not a fan of the setting inside - it doesn’t feel as chill and cozy as many other better bars in the city

Fantastic place to celebrate or bring a date. Lobster rolls are the best; avoid crab avocado with too much mayo. Great ambiance.

Beautiful environment, friendly staff, impressive cheese platter and two free snacks! This is called nyc life.

Good service, drinks are well made - but everything is extremely expensive. I wasn't expecting a dive bar of course, but $56 for an Old Fashioned is insane. Wine options are limited and the cheapest bottle of red was around $120-140.

What a wonderful and special experience coming to this place. Sure it's on the pricey side but it's well worth to enjoy the opulence and decor. Exceptional

Poorly staffed. An unprofessional employee at the door cat called us, tried to join us, followed us upstairs and then the hostess didn’t let us in as this employee wizzed by us delighted by his power to get us rejected. This is the part of NYC I don’t miss, low class yet pretentious, bad mix of people with bad attitudes. Not worth the shiny overpriced drinks.

Amazing bar and well crafted drinks. You come for the amazing glassware and champagne selection but also if you want to treat yourself to a very fancy joint. Price conscious people beware... this is one of the most expensive bars in NYC ... up there with the Aviary and the Office. But hidden away in the Baccarat Hotel, which by itself is jaw dropping and a people watching delight, if you want to impress your friends/date and depress your accountant, highly recommended.
