Wow. Best lasagna ever. Every bite was perfect. Melted in my mouth. The flavors and the cheese, incredible. We did not have reservations but got there 30 minutes before opening and they let us sit at the bar to drink while they got ready to open up the place. Very cozy. Worth the wait. Get reservations if you can. Great service. Great atmosphere. Wonderful food. The bartender made us cocktails based on what we liked drinking and each one was delicious!

The food is truly amazing. The drinks could use some tweaking. The cheese inside their signature lasagna is top notch. Parmesan on the chrysanthemum salad also super delicious. Cauliflower was decent but prob should’ve gone with sweet potatoes. Very difficult to get reservation unfortunately. Otherwise I would be frequenting.

It was very hard to get a reservation here. When they open up reservations at exactly 9am they always ran out right away. We were finally able to land one and we were very excited to try this spot out. Sad to say, i think there’s better food places that’s easier to get to. The food wasn’t bad. It was well balance. I would recommend the chrysanthemum salad and the lasagna. The lasagna was very well balanced and fits my flavor profile. The prices were alright it’s not too bad considering NYC. I feel a little indifferent about the service just because i was observing and there was no consistency with the servers. One person was giving exceptional service (ex. Asking if they have any allergies, are they celebrating anything etc) and some were just there to get orders. I would go again to try out the different pasta but other than that it wasn’t as enjoyable as i expected it to be.

Fabulous experience. It's so hard to get a reservation here, we ended up lining up 1 hour before opening on. Tuesday and snagged a seat at the gorgeous bar. Service was lovely and the drinks were incredible. We had the cheesy garlic flat bread, the chrysanthemum salad, buffalo milk caramelle, Japanese sweet potatoes and the famous lasagna, every dish was amazing! The restaurant is so beautiful and the food is so delicious it's absolutely worth the fuss to get in here.

Great food we enjoyed it a lot! The salad and the lasagna definitely beat our expectations though we’ve already knew they were amazing. Very good flavor and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed every bit and bottomed up everything. The steak was good, so as the crudo. Good balance of seasoning. The desert was less impressive but the good part is that they are definitely on the not so sweet side. Average $75/each all inclusive. Friendly environment and caring staff. Happy to be back(if we can grab another spot)!

What an unbelievable meal! Never have I had chicken cacciatore explode in my mouth! The flavors were unreal! Absolutely incredible! Wonderful people, lovely ambience, great service.. an all-around unforgettable experience that I can't wait to relive.

We were very glad to get a table here, be it fairly late. The famous lasagna is everything it's hyped up to be, and the rest of the menu is delicious too. Very reasonable for Michelin dining as well.

Worth the hype. Food was subtle perfection and service was warm and friendly. We sat outside as a group of 4 and it was one of my favourite dinners in NYC. Lasagna, sourdough pasta and the potatoes were show stoppers. Recommend going as a group so you can order a lot and share family style. Will definitely be back.

This place was so so so good. I don’t understand the negative reviews. I’ve had a LOT of Italian food in New York and this is up there with the best. Highly deserving of their star! Garlic flatbread - perfectly flaky and warm. Chrysanthemum salad - more of a cheese salad with greens but I’m not complaining. Loved their take on a Caesar. Lasagna for two - star of the show. I will crave this in my dreams!

CHRYSANTHEMUM SALAD… if you’re debating getting one, get five. While it may look like a cheese bomb went off on top of the greens, when forked and mouthed: you are sure to get a perfect bite! The lasagna is melt-in-your-mouth and well worth the hype! Not too acidic and with a gorgeous presentation that is easy to share. The som picked out a fabulous bottle of Italian red to complement the meal. Truthfully, this is in my top 3 best meals of 2023. We were a lucky walk in on a Wednesday evening at 9:30pm. Everything about the experience was 5 stars, thank you Don Angie!

I was lucky to get a table for four and we had an amazing dinner. We started with stuffed garlic flatbread and chicory salad. The salad was fresh and had the great balance of sourness and sweetness. The garlic bread was full of favor. For the main we shared the famous lasagna, caramelized pasta and gnocchi. Everything was impeccable, and we especially enjoyed the caramelized pasta. The candy shaped pasta had the full of cheese inside and the sauce was flavorful. Save some space for the tiramisu. You can’t leave the restaurant without having it. Our dinner became much more special thanks to our server Jenna. She was sweet and attentive, and made our dinner memorable. I can’t wait to go back to dine at Don Angie again.

Lives up to the hype. This was my second time and somehow I was even more impressed than my first. Chrysanthemum salad which is an absolute must. Such an amazingly herbaceous vegetable that I wouldn’t have imagined would be the perfect twist on a Caesar salad. Lasagna for two was incredible. Classic flavor but fun presentation. Our waitress suggested getting a second pasta instead of an extra side, and even though the meal ended up being way too much food, I couldn’t even be mad. The sourdough pasta is tangy and savory, not overpowered by the olives and I would be sad if we didn’t get it. Tiramisu was also sooo good. Def recommend. The ONLY gripe about this place is how absolutely difficult it is to get reservations. I would love if management made it a priority to get people in the door and curb the third party reselling. We’d been holding onto a gift card for nearly 2 years before we got in.

Amazing fine dining experience in a beautiful West Village setting. Great bar, and make sure you order the lasagna. Everyone from the hostess to our server could not have been more charming, helpful, and professional. This is simply a great restaurant, serving wonderful Italian fare, in great ambiance. We will return!

Really phenomenal food. Super hard to get a reservation here but well worth it if you do. Took off a star because the outdoor dining experience was not as nice as expected - the booths are not fully heated (there is some heat but it is not strong) and they have these loose fabric curtains that don’t block out the wind. As a result, the booths are extremely cold so you have to wear a jacket, and your food gets cold quickly. Due to the fabric curtains, you are also fully exposed to people walking and talking (or shouting) along the sidewalk. I would only make a reservation for indoors (lesson learned). Obviously, the food was amazing. The chrysanthemum salad was probably the best salad I have ever tried. The lasagna and garlic bread were excellent, and the Japanese sweet potatoes were a pleasant surprise - they are these delicious little cubes covered in sauce/cheese (for some reason I expected them to be mashed). The tiramisu was unique and tasted great, with an interesting mix of flavors and textures. I will definitely be back here, but I was disappointed with the outdoor dining experience given this is a Michelin stared resturant and we are 2 years into the pandemic.

Been wanting to go here for quite awhile now and finally got a reservation and let me say, it was worth the wait. Standouts were the pasta special and of course the lasagna. Everything my friend and I ate there was fantastic and easily this restaurant is in my top 10 in NYC! Look forward to returning!

Don Angie hands-down is one of the top 5 restaurants in New York City! 🙌🏽 The food and service are top-notch. We felt like welcomed to a family dinner where every little detail was well thought out, authentic, and salaciously delicious. Two of the cocktails I tried, Rosemary Clooney and the Italian Coffee Situation were excellent 👌🏽

Don Angie's totally lives up to the hype! I had been waiting to try the lasagna, and it was definitely fantastic. Crispy on the edges, hearty from the sauce and cheese, and overall so satisfying! We had the chrysanthemum salad and sweet potatoes as well and both were also delicious. The tiramisu was unique and excellent as well! Don Angie's is a memorable meal! The interiors are clean and cozy and the service is personable, friendly, and attentive too. Would highly recommend! Don't wait - try getting a reservation now!

If I could give this restaurant more than a 5-star rating, I absolutely would. The food, atmosphere and service were all beyond fantastic. Totally next level. I wasn’t able to snag a reservation, but my mom and I sat at the bar and had such an amazing experience. Our bartender and server, Daniel, was a superstar. He made our visit to Don Angie even more special and memorable. For food, we started with the Chrysanthemum Salad (best salad I’ve ever eaten), then got the Japanese Sweet Potatoes (words cannot describe how amazing these are) and the Lasagna for Two (beyond superb!!). And for dessert, we had the tiramisu and it is definitely the best I’ve had in the US - hands down. If you’re thinking about coming to this restaurant, don’t just think about it, do it! You will not be sorry. I will without a doubt be back.

Don’t miss Don Angie’s!! I am in love with the food, ambiance and service. The chrysanthemum salad and Japanese sweet potatoes are not to be missed. Plus Nonna’s little nip is a perfect drink before dinner. It’s not easy to get a reservation, but go early (3:30-4:30pm) put your name down and you will be rewarded!

This probably has to be one of the hardest reservations I’ve tried to get - but my friend finally got a call back for a standby reservation at 10pm on Wednesday just after I’d won a Broadway show lottery for the same evening! Talk about luck! Being our first time, we went with the favorites - lasagna, chrysanthemum salad, and tiramisu. The lasagna was indeed incredible, just so creamy and cooked to perfection - probably the best I’ve had. Whether it’s worth the struggle of getting a reservation is open to debate though. The salad was also good and loaded with Parmesan - not life changing though. It is still just a salad after all. The tiramisu was the perfect finish and Don Angie’s does their own creative take on the classic dessert using Black Forest cake which didn’t disappoint.

Wonderful service and a very cozy atmosphere! We actually just came here for dessert and a nightcap after having dinner at Via Carota, but we ended up ordering the famous lasagna because it was my first time here and my friend convinced me that I absolutely had to try it. It was incredible and definitely worth gorging ourselves. I’m pretty sure that lasagna is 70% cheese! The desserts and the drinks were great. Can’t wait to return on an empty stomach so I can try all the other items on the menu. The last drink shown in the last photo, was some type of digestif. I can’t remember what it was called, but it was delicious; I highly recommend trying it!

We did outdoor dining at Don Angie in September 2020. We absolutely loved the food. We got all the classics - Stuffed Garlic Flatbread, Lasagna, and Broccoli. The lasagna also came with incredibly yummy garlic bread. It was expensive for bread and pasta but I think worthy. We also loved the cocktails we got. I think the ambiance of dining outside is probably hit or miss. While it’s lovely some places, there was so much noise and traffic that I’d probably prefer to eat indoors next time I go. I don’t even think I saw the inside when we went!

My second time to Don Angie and still, the food is amazing. Honestly you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Obviously the lasagna is a must - but my personal recommendations are the Crudo, Prosciutto with Papaya, and Mochi ice cream. Also, the place is absolutely gorgeous. If you’re looking for a special dining experience, this is your answer.

Loved this place! Cute atmosphere, great service, delicious food. The lasagna is a must and so worth the hype. The garlic flatbread is also great. We were celebrating a special occasion and were definitely taken care of. Our servers were great, very attentive.

Loved the food! The chrysanthemum salad was incredibly delicious. I don’t like fennel so that’s really my only qualm with some of the dishes like the lasagna, as the flavor really stood out to me in the sauce. Minus the star anise flavors, everything was delicious!

Super hard to get a reservation, every time we tried they were gone in minutes. Luckily, we snagged a Sunday reso at 5pm. The food was great, especially the lasagna for two, which we split between three people. The space is well designed and feels like your neighborhood Italian restaurant, with a bit more hipster/cool vibe. Although it felt like the dishes came out slowly, the servers were friendly and very helpful. This place is worth the hype.

We lined up at open and were able to get seats at the bar after a less than 2 hour wait (we were given an accurate estimate). The host did a great job facilitating this and made the night very seamless. The food and drink lived up to the hype. My prosciutto washed cocktail was a very refreshing entry into the evening. The chrysanthemum salad was one of the best salads I’ve had in NYC. My pork steak with beans and dandelion greens is probably a top 10 pork dish in NYC. The meat was cooked perfectly and the overall dish worked really well. The tiramisu was also amazing. A great way to end the meal. Highly recommend for all looking for innovative Italian food in a great atmosphere.

Came here with my fiancé on our first night in NYC. I had been researching this place for a while and had developed some pretty high expectations. Don Agnie exceeded all of them. Each dish was exquisite, and the staff was professional, attentive, informative, and very kind. The lasagna for 2 is the best lasagna I have ever had, and the chrysanthemum salad will make you rethink how a salad should be prepared. Their tiramisu is the best dessert in the world. We will be coming back!

It’s truly a quality restaurant worthy of its Michelin star! Authentic Italian food, cozy atmosphere, and topnotch service. Both the Margarita and Grapefruit Mocktail were citrusy and divine to sip on a muggy day like yesterday. Spicy Cantaloupe & Coppa: The sweet cantaloupe and candied almonds coupled with the salty sheep’s cheese and coppa was a surprising combo that complemented well together. Each bite was light and ever so delightful. Lasagna for Two: The highlight of the meal. It’s their signature dish for a reason. A flavorful layered lasagna that simply slaps. It’s chewy, it’s cheesy, it’s scrumptious, and very filling! Lather it on top of the olive oil bread stick and there you have it, perfection. Black Cocoa Tiramisu: Dare I say they have the best tiramisu. The inside has a crunchy caramel texture with a chocolate cake at the bottom. It’s smooth and exquisite. Side of Sweet Potatoes: We had actually changed our mind about this since we felt like it would be too heavy, but a slight slip up occurred with the kitchen. They were very kind and ended up giving it to us anyway, no charge. It was actually amazingly good, crispy and addicting. Would absolutely order this next time. We came right as they opened up on Sunday so thankfully we didn’t have to wait long to get seated despite not having a reservation. A line had already started forming and soon enough the place was packed! Our waitress was super nice and friendly! And the guy at the entrance and the water refiller were so sweet too. Every single dish was spectacular and you can tell each one was created with much attention and care. We shall certainly be revisiting and bringing more friends next time as there were so many menu items we wanted to try yet couldn’t due to our full tummies 😵

Came to Don Angie with my wife on the last night of our honeymoon. The food and service were absolutely amazing. The attention to details their whole staff provides made this a great experience. We will definitely be back as we are constantly day dreaming about that lasagna. Thank you to Don Angie for such a memorable night

Amazing experience!!! This place is awesome! All the staff was attentive and friendly. We traveled from Arizona on vacation and tried to get a reservation before we left, but no luck. We decided to try to walk up before they opened and we were able to get a reservation. The food was FANTASTIC! We ordered too much for just the two of us but had to try it all. Would highly recommend Don Angie!!!

Very good! Actually the best Italian restaurant I tried in New York so far. However, they could step up the dessert menu. I absolutely disliked the mochi. But because the Lasagna and stuffed Garlic bread was outstanding I won’t reduce the rating! Service is also good.

My friend tried to get a reservation for months at Don Angie. We then decided to get there before they open (4.15pm) to try our luck on a Monday. We actually were able to get a table for 5pm outside in their booths. Don Angie offers AMAZING food & excellent service. Definitely on the pricier side (64$ for lasagna). I am glad we were able to go, but I wouldn’t go again because of the difficulties of making a reservation. It’s to me not worth it having dinner at like 4.30pm or 10pm.

Come for the lasagna, stay for the excellent everything else. This is one of my favourite italian restaurants in the West Village, which itself is hyper-concentrated in terms of high quality italian fare. Their uniquely spiralling lasagna definitely lives up to the hype (its different to anything you’ve probably seen before) but honestly the other dishes were better. Not pictured were the japanese sweet potatoes which were incredible, and the veal milanese which was perfectly cooked. Drinks were excellent as well and service top notch - can this place do any wrong?!

Took a bit of doing, but finally got a reservation. The food, the wait staff and the ambiance of the space was all very satisfying and we would definitely take the time to make another reservation.

A friend snagged a sweet reservation here. Everything was basically delicious.

  • 5/5 Anthony L. 2 years ago on Google
Such a great place. The service was outstanding, the outdoor seating they have is super comfortable and private, and the food was amazing. Portions are large enough to share between two people. We got the chrysanthemum salad, the flatbread, lasagna, and the cookies and mochi for dessert and it was more than enough food. Would definitely come back!

  • 4/5 Yotam L. 2 years ago on Google
A bit overrated in my opinion, the lasagna was good but now awesome, their take on tiramisu was interesting but not to my liking. The garlic bread (or should I say their take on it) was really good. And the sweet potatoes were great.
