Great seating, plant life taken care of, within a shopping area, and clean.

We stopped here several times during our Christmas in NYC visit. It’s the place to be in New York in December. Problem is, everyone knows it, so everyone is there. Expect crowds. But expect spectacular views of the Rockefeller Christmas Tree, the gardens, the skyline, and the Saks Fifth Avenue store. Amazing.

Word of advice, the beautiful photos I saw on Google reviews must have been taken in the summer. I went in March and definitely didn't see what I expected, everything was still in it'd winter slumber. Even though they're were no flowers the fountains themselves were interesting to look at. Along the plaza are some high-end stores as well like Tiffany's and Kate Spade. Cool place to chill and people watch.

The Rockefeller Center’s Channel Gardens is a beautiful and serene oasis nestled in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. In December of 2020, I brought my wife and myself to the Channel Gardens to celebrate our Happy Four Year Engagement Anniversary. When visiting this attraction, my wife and I were deeply impressed by the high quality landscaped gardens, the picturesque sculptures, and the alluring water fountains located in the series of subsequent pools. When visiting the Rockefeller Center, both my wife and I highly recommend for visitors to check and sightsee this enchanting attraction!!!

The gardens are great to sit in between plants and seasonal decoration to look at the Rockefeller center on one side and Saks on Fifth Avenue on the other side. It’s essentially in the promenade with shops on either side. So get a drink, a salad and a book and enjoy the sights in the heart of city

If you happen to be in NYC during Christmas Season then you have to make a stop there. I was there around 11pm and it was still full but not as crowded as during the day. You have a great view of the big Christmas Tree as well as the Ice Skating.

Beautiful place to hang out and take pictures. A lot of flower that attracts butterflies. Have benches around to seat and some small business that sell drinks and coffee.

This place is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Beautiful breeze, buildings and right in front of Rockefeller. There's plenty of spots to sit, window shop and walk around. Definitely worth walking through.

Ooooh em geee! It could have been a beautiful family outing if it wasn't dangerously crowded. We did however go a few days after Thanksgiving AKA high tourism season. Once we found out where the barricade ended and was able to get into the space, we found a nice little spot that wasn't as crowded and we just took it all in. If you're not into crowds or suffer from claustrophobia, I would recommend going during the day. Best pics are at night when you can truly experience the beauty of it all. Stay safe! Happy Holidays

Christmas time is the BUSIEST. You will definitely get stuck in big crowds but the Christmas tree and the light show was beautiful. It’s worth a visit.

As visited in February I thought it’s just a seating place in front of Rockefeller Tower. Later realized it is a beautiful garden way between Rockefeller and Sacks 5th Avenue, surrounded with multiple branded outlets. Missed this place visiting in December. As there are multiple fountains and trees, I was sitting with cute little sparrows beside me. Had food here by purchasing from near by BBQ vendors.

It's really a nice place to take some pictures but It was one of the special moments for me at this place, I liked the fact to see where Kevin finally met his mom(the movie home alone2)

    Beautifully designed and decorated garden

It's a cool idea but it used to be so much more whimsical and creative when it was done by the previous landscape firm Lifescapes. It feels like it has become more structured and less botanical. Still worth a visit.

I highly recommend visiting this anytime of the year. However, right before Christmas the month of December, the place looks extra special with the Christmas decorations.

Always nice to visit but just a huge pain to walk around with the tourists who walk like a flock of flamingos.

What a great place to visit and watch the people roller skate (vs. ice skate) and observe the interactions between them.

They had a lights and sound display outside the building. But it causes high volume of people in the area.

One of my go to spots for Christmas! So so many people though 😅 It’s a fun walk, with so many new things to enjoy. There’s a ice skating ring for some fun times too!
