She's a perfectionist and she will make sure it's perfect. Even the tiny diamonds for the band she hand selects the highest clarity stones to ensure maximum sparkle and clarity. When you put her stones/rings side by side with regular commercial rings, the quality difference is huge. They also provide free cleaning whenever you need it, they care deeply about what YOU want and make sure you have the perfect ring. It's incredible the way they run the business. So different from other shops who are just trying get every cent out of you. They also have a wide variety of bands and stones. They let you try all options - never rushes you (I went back 4-5 times lol to try them on and make the decision). Never tries to sell more things to you that you don’t want/need. Had such an AMAZING experience at Jangmi!! My then-boyfriend (now husband) and I went to go look at engagement rings and we knew this was the place. Richard took the time to explain the four C’s and showed us a few diamonds that fell within our budget (to compare color vs carat). He was also very patient when I took forever and couldn’t decide which setting (4-prong or 6-prong) I liked better. Once it was actually time to purchase the ring, my then-bf thought that he could just walk out with a finished ring right then and there (*face palm*). It usually takes a few weeks to get the finished product but Mr. + Mrs. Kim and Richard super expedited the whole process and made sure that he could get the ring right on time for the planned proposal date. After the proposal, we went back to look for our wedding bands. I wanted my set to be from Jangmi only. Mrs. Kim was very patient and modeled all the bands on her hand to help me find the best one that complimented my engagement ring. I bought an anniversary ring for my wife back in 2017 from Jangmi. The ring was beautiful, and my wife and I were very happy. A few weeks ago, the ring broke, the platinum had snapped in two places. I took it back to Jangmi, and Mrs. Kim took a look at it. Turned out it was a complicated repair. But I left it with them, and they said they'd contact me when it was ready. About a week later, I got a text saying the ring was ready. When I came to pick it up, I was amazed. The ring look good as new, and better than it had in years. Turns out that two of the smaller diamonds had come out, and Mrs. Kim had replaced them. It just shows that they stand by their work. I'd highly recommend them, and will be going back in the future!

Though you may pay a little more at Jangmi than at an online company, setting aside my belief that we should be supporting small businesses, the customer service for life makes Jangmi totally worth it. After COVID hit, I definitely gained a few pounds... I had to get my ring resized and it was taken care of no problem. I've been able to get my ring cleaned throughout the year as well. Over a year after getting married, I still receive comments that my ring looks new and sparkles so beautifully. PS Plastic dividers are used, along with social distancing. Within 15 minutes of viewing diamonds and hearing Mrs. Kim's experienced opinion, she had broadened my perspective and had me rebalancing my 4 C's. My initial consultation at Jangmi was great - saw multiple diamonds to get a sense of what's available, and I got a professional opinion with no pressure sales. It also triggered me to do a lot more research, much deeper than the 4 C's. I kept in contact with Mrs. Kim over email during my extensive diamond search (asked her a lot of questions), came back a second time, and eventually bought the engagement ring the third time. Mrs. Kim and the Jangmi family were such a pleasure to work with throughout the process - extremely knowledgeable, very patient, and helpful. They certainly earned my trust, and we'll be back for our wedding bands in a bit.

I purchased an amazing engagement ring from Jangmi. Mrs Kim and her team were kind and professional. They showed me diamonds of many different sizes and shapes but all were of the highest quality. I picked a diamond and setting and they made the most gorgeous ring of perfect quality. Needless to say, she said “yes” and we will be returning for wedding bands soon!!!

I had Mrs Kim re-set my diamond studs into dangling earrings. She picked a lovely setting that met my budget. She also fixed a post on my diamond stud at no extra cost. My fiancé and I couldn’t be happier with the ring we bought at Jangmi. Somehow, they talked me into a cheaper diamond which fits her ring perfectly. I made the purchase about two weeks before Covid-19 shut things down in NYC. They were crystal clear about communicating to me during the quarantine and got it to me in time to pop the question. Very gorgeous jewelry at a very fair price.

I would give this location 10 stars if I could. I cannot express how happy we are with Jangmi! I live in California, but have visited Jangmi when I was in New York last year. Mrs. Kim (owner) was SO patient with me in choosing the perfect ring for my fiancé. She took her time to explain everything about diamond qualify factors and to show me different diamonds/bands. I had been to several places before Jangmi so I could definitely tell the quality of diamonds at this place was by far the best, and the experience with Mrs. Kim topped all of them. After picking the right ring, I was a bit worried about the delivery because it had to travel from New York to California. Mrs. Kim made all the process very easy and simple. The ring arrived on the next day and shipping was very secure. Their life-long warranty is also incredible. I could not be happier with my experience at this place. The service was great. I felt welcomed and safe even during a pandemic. The one thing I will complain about is the parking near the district but that has nothing to do with them. They were helpful and gave me confidence in designing a ring! My fiance loves the ring!

I can't say enough great things about my experience with Derco. My husband had purchased a loose diamond here when we got engaged and I wanted to do something different, basically trade in my stone for it's value and have two bands created - a larger scale eternity band and a smaller scale band to wear together.
