I
contacted
Kwiat's
concierge
Megan
Finn
to
inquire
about
a
specific
setting
I
had
seen
on
their
website.
I
told
her
that
I
had
purchased
my
center
stone
from
another
vendor.
She
told
me
that
generally
Kwiat
does
not
set
stones
purchased
from
other
vendors
but
she
requested
I
email
her
my
GIA
Report.
I
complied
with
Ms.
Finn's
request
and
she
emailed
me
back
saying
Kwiat
would
be
happy
to
set
my
"beautiful"
stone
in
a
Kwiat
setting.
Ms.
Finn
then
proceeded
with
"great
pleasure"
to
provide
me
details
of
the
setting
along
with
the
cost.
Subsequently
Ms.
Finn
emailed
me
pictures
of
the
setting.
I
felt
like
we
were
ready
to
move
forward
as
soon
as
I
received
the
stone
and
had
it
checked
out
by
a
GIA
Gemologist.
Later
that
evening,
I
realized
that
Kwiat
had
a
store
in
Las
Vegas.
I
had
a
trip
planned
over
the
Labor
Day
Weekend
to
Vegas
and
called
and
spoke
with
a
sales
agent
at
the
Kwiat
store
to
arranged
seeing
the
setting
I
liked
and
a
few
others.
A
meeting
was
set
up
for
the
upcoming
Saturday
afternoon.
The
next
day,
I
received
an
email
from
Ms.
Finn
requesting
information
from
where
I
purchased
the
stone.
I
emailed
her
the
name
of
the
website.
When
that
information
was
provided,
Ms.
Finn
emailed
me
back
and
said
"after
further
discussion,
we
will
not
be
able
to
set
your
beautiful
diamond."
At
this
point
the
only
thing
that
changed
was
Ms.
Finn
knowing
the
name
of
the
vendor
I
bought
my
stone
from
and
the
fact
that
I
was
looking
at
settings
at
their
store
in
Las
Vegas.
I
have
no
idea
who
Ms.
Finn
had
further
discussions
with
regarding
my
stone
that
would
make
her
renege
on
Kwiat's
offer
to
set
my
stone.
The
quality
of
my
diamond
(
VVS1,
a
G
color
and
excellent
cut
and
symmetry)
no
longer
mattered.
So
quality
was
not
the
issue.
The
Las
Vegas
store
texted
me
and
said
they
had
reached
out
to
the
corporate
offices
and
was
told
that
I
would
have
to
work
with
Ms.
Finn
regarding
my
setting.
The
appointment
to
view
settings
was
not
allowed
to
go
forward.
All
of
this
run
around
was
a
big
waste
of
my
time
and
derailed
my
plan
for
my
ring
setting.
The
entire
process
was
totally
unprofessional.
Ms.
Finn
should
have
rejected
my
desire
to
purchase
a
Kwiat
setting
initially
without
asking
for
my
GIA
certificate.
Once
I
sent
her
my
GIA
Certificate
and
she
accepted
my
"beautiful"
stone
for
a
Kwiat
setting,
then
sent
me
an
estimate
and
pictures,
Kwiat
should
have
stuck
to
their
commitment
to
set
my
stone.
This
type
is
treatment
of
potential
consumers
is
highly
unprofessional
and
a
bit
"weaselly."
Watch
out
who
you
do
business
with.
