I brought in my 18k white gold necklace for a rhodium dip and polish. Upon trying it on after the service, I noticed it felt a lot shorter. The associate assured me no links were removed, but later called after I left to admit that they did indeed shorten the chain. When I returned, they showed me an inch and a half of links removed and told me they would reattach it while I waited. While the associate was very friendly, the store denied my request for a $50 refund (cost of the cleaning)—stating that they still performed the requested cleaning services. Considering what had happened, I found this to be a very bizarre response and told her that this was no way to try to conduct a legitimate business. I would had loved to be able to use this jeweler for my polishing and cleaning services, but after this experience, I would not feel comfortable trusting them my valuables again.

We love the final wedding bands we received! They turned beautifully and we were overjoyed when we picked them up in person. We had been communicating with Will long distance. Will was responsive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Whatever concerns we had we felt comfortable discussing. We sent Will pics of the rings were were interested in beforehand. He then mailed us 3D printed rings for us to confirm size and style. He sent us pics/video of the final product prior to us coming in person. The entire process was smooth considering majority of communication was long distance. Well worth the time and effort. My boyfriend proposed to me but let me pick out my own ring because I’ve always said I wanted to involve my mother in the process so that it is a bit unconventional “mother-daughter process”. My mom never had her own engagement ring and her wedding band is the most modest thin band, so I wanted her to be included in the process (so I could also surprise her with her own upgraded ring… but that’s another story). Anyway, Magnolia was the first store we stopped by because my mom heard great things about them on the Chinese radio. I walked in and the amazing lady that helped me was Katy! Katy is soft spoken and kind and so helpful! She spoke both English and and Canto. I told her I wanted something simple but I don’t know what style I liked. She was so patient with me and let me try almost everything. I had a budget in mind and because of her awesome service, I got the ring of my dreams within my limit. Katy also helped suggested a custom design for a wedding band and gave me a discount if I bought it as a set with the engagement ring. I’m going to marry the man of my dreams, so buying as a bridal set was a no brainer if it came with a lucky discount! Katy explained the process to me, explaining that the wedding band can be curved to hug the engagement ring but it will take a bit longer to complete. Which I’m okay with since I’m just newly engaged. And yet! The band was ready for me super fast and ahead of time! Katy also threw in free engraving on both rings because I was set on having my partner’s name on the rings. Katy also provided me with GIA diamond certifications and showed me the branded numbers on the diamond itself under a microscope! I didn’t know the certificate serial number is literally on the diamond itself but she carefully explained everything to me. She also let me know that Magnolia will provide unlimited aftercare after the purchase as well. She said I can come in ever 3-4 months to have my rings cleaned and the prongs checked. I loved that Magnolia’s amazing service doesn’t end after I pay. Overall, I had the most amazing experience and got 2 rings of my dreams at Magnolia Jewelry with the help of Katy. (After I made my choice at Magnolia, I sneakily went to several other jewelry stores around the diamond district, just to compare. Not a single one of them came close to the service or value that Magnolia offered. I also did extensive research online and everything confirmed that I was given a very honest and competitive price. I am very certain Magnolia was the best decision for my engagement and wedding rings).

Diligently searching for a reputable fine jeweler who could bring an idea to life, I stumbled across Magnolia Jeweler (ask for Vince…he’s the best!). The piece I had in mind was for my loved one, who is extremely picky and detailed about certain things, so this had to be done right. After sending my idea of what it should look like, a 3D image was sent to me, and the project was off to a great start…and finish! This piece is awesome, and, better than the original idea. My boyfriend and I went to a few stores in Chinatown to look at engagement rings and was blown away by the service at Magnolia. 1. They had lab grown diamonds, which we preferred over mined diamonds. Other jewelers were a bit judgy when we inquired about lab grown diamonds. That was not the case at Magnolia and they happily showed us their collection of lab grown engagement rings. 2. We ended up custom designing a ring, based of an existing design they had. We had wanted to modify it. We worked with Lena who was extremely patient. We went back and forth a few times to get the design right. I liked that we received the design renderings to compare the different designs before making our final decision 3. Price was very reasonable and I was happy with the price we paid for the ring. I ended up bringing in some of my other jewelry pieces to replace some missing stones and replate the gold. Lena even offered cleaning for my jewelry pieces for whenever I was in the neighborhood! 4. The his and hers jewelry boxes were a nice touch. My engagement ring and wedding band was in a red box. My boyfriend ended up purchasing his wedding band too and it was in a blue box. Overall I'm very happy with Magnolia and their wonderful staff.

buying an engagement ring is always a daunting task given the inherent information asymmetry within the diamond market, but Vince and the team at Magnolia do a fantastic job of abstracting the complications away and giving you the best personalized experience at a more than reasonable cost. i designed a custom engagement ring for my now fiancée, and Vince and the team took care of everything. i wanted an elongated cushion cut, which is less common, and i also had particular ideas about the setting which they were able to make a reality. they did everything: sourced the diamond, educated me about the diamond market, got me extra video footage of the actual diamond, worked through multiple drafts and renders of the setting, created the beautiful work of art, and finally, delivered the hardware in an ultra secure fashion. post proposal, Vince and the team have also reached out to make sure everything fits correctly. i’m happy, my fiancée is happy, and we both can’t stop looking at the ring! you won’t get better value for the experience anywhere else.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I came here to get my engagement ring resized and everyone was so helpful. I got to watch the jeweler resize it in front of me. After leaving, I realized my ring was still too big, so I called and they told me no worries, come back. They proceeded to work with me to find a size that was tight enough but didn’t make me feel nervous that it might get stuck. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I came here after visiting about a dozen other jewelry stores in the area and in the diamond district looking for an engagement ring for my (now) wife. Of all the jewelers i had been to, Magnolia jewelers made me feel most comfortable. A friend suggested i work with Vincent so i went to meet with him and discuss diamonds and everything related to the engagement ring. After our first meeting I already knew i wanted to work with him. Vincent discussed with me that we would be able to design the ring taking a near concept and bringing it to life. He sent me multiple digital mock ups and followed up with questions in regards to what I wanted in the ring. Lastly we discussed diamonds, prices, and what makes them the prices they are. Being on a budget, Vincent was able to pick out an amazing diamond right in my budget but still looking amazing. The final product amazed my wife and she fell in love with it. We finally went back to get our wedding bands done by him as well and just like before we discussed some different designs for the rings and after settling on a design Vincent sent us some digital mock ups and asked if it was to our liking and we had it finally made! I love every piece that we've gotten here and will be back for all of our jewelry needs in the future.

Don’t be afraid to negotiate as all shops here will be flexible with you. They also shined some of my existing gold necklaces for free and provided a credit for a future purchase since we mentioned we’d be back for wedding bands.

After googling and calling around on my own to little success, a friend recommended Magnolia Jewelers to me when I was seeking an engagement ring + wedding band set that would be done and picked up in New York City. I was put in touch with Vince and we had multiple consultation calls regarding what type of cut, size, and colors I was looking for. They were very thorough, patient, and professional and really assuaged my concerns when it came to making a high-value purchase that had to be just right as I wanted to keep the process a surprise from my fiancee. The ring was finished on schedule and to say the end result was a home run would be an understatement; my fiancee loves the ring and the color and still tells me regularly how much she loves it and how it fits her style and sensibility. None of this would have been possible without Vince, William, and Magnolia as I knew nothing about diamonds or ring styles personally. My fiancee and I returned to Magnolia after my successful proposal to make alterations to the wedding band sizes. I don't usually write reviews but I really want to share with the others of my wonderful experience I had at Magnolia Jewelers. I am so very happy of my purchase of a diamond tennis bracelet. Before going to this store, which is a very reputable one in Chinatown, NY., I did a lot of research online and personally went to different stores.... to get some ideas of the quality and prices... When I got to Magnolia, I saw a lot of beautiful ones in display and was a little overwhelmed as not knowing which to choose. Luckily, sales consultant Amanda came to help. She was very knowledgeable, patient, honest and pleasant. She helped me find a very beautiful bracelet at a really good price, much less than what I would have to pay at the other stores for a similar one. I LOVE, LOVE LOVE my gorgeous bracelet. I know I will enjoy it for a long time. Magnolia Jewelers is a great place for fine jewelry and I will definitely go back. I highly recommend them. I also really appreciate Amanda's help. I’m super late to review, but this store has been helping me with my custom jewelry for almost a decade!! William and Vince were not only patient with all of my questions, but their attention to detail and precision in getting you exactly what you want is top notch. And this is all before giving you the best deal for your money!! And if my opinion isn’t enough, all of the others we’ve referred to them have all said the same great things. I get it, there’s a lot of choices around in Chinatown and Manhattan. But don’t do yourself a disservice by at least not coming here as an option for your jewelry needs. Chances are you’ll stick with them once you see the comparison in service, quality and price.
