Working with Nick and Michael was an absolute pleasure! They were supremely welcoming, easy to work within my budget and helped explain all different aspects to picking out a diamond. I specifically went to them for a diamond, but ended up getting a setting from them as well. Would absolutely go back there for future family engagement rings and other things!

Beyond disappointed in Kent. My husband purchased my wedding band from them in 2017. Not living nearby, I brought it to my local jewelers for a quick cleaning. Upon inspection, they noticed several loose stones and didn’t feel comfortable putting it in the cleaner. They advised me that while they could fix it, they would recommend I contact Kent since it was purchased from them. I went to Kent the following week and Nick said he would stand behind my purchase and have my ring repaired within two weeks. Once it was repaired, he called me, charged me $400 and shipped the ring to me. I’ve been wearing it for two weeks. I brought it to my local jewelers, again, to confirm the work was done correctly. Lo and behold...I have seven loose stones. They don’t believe the work was ever done, and if it was, it was done poorly. So disgusted with what I thought was a great business. Save yourself the time and trouble and go elsewhere on 47th Street.

I'd highly recommend Kent New York - they were awesome. I was looking for a specific kind of engagement ring. Greg was my main point of contact and was not only incredibly knowledgeable on all things diamond and engagement ring related but also very patient throughout my research and purchasing visits to the store. I completely trusted Greg and the custom designed ring I ended up with was exactly what I wanted. After getting a wonderful "yes" we needed to get the ring slightly re-sized and Greg and Kent were, once again, awesome and got it resized in just a couple of days. 5 stars. I bought an engagement ring for my now wife from here. I also bought my wedding ring here. They were able to make us two custom rings which came out amazing! I was also able to pick out the diamond for the engagement ring which turned out to be a great deal. I would highly recommend them!

I live in Virginia but grew up in New York and my family made it known that when it was time to get an engagement ring that I absolutely HAD to go to the Diamond District. So I drove all the way up today with the lucky lady and set off on trying to figure out which store to stop in first. I heard great things about Kent Jewelers and of course they have an impeccable online reputation to boot so I made them my first (and ultimately only) stop. You of course have to run the gauntlet from all of the high-pressured sales people standing outside their shops but it was totally worth it to get to this place. I read about Nick on their reviews and he totally lives up to his reputation. He helped us pick out the perfect ring for my soon-to-be fiancé with a no pressure, no stress approach. He showed us a variety of rings and always had a smile on his face and never once felt that we were wasting his time; a total professional through and through. They had a wide selection to chose from and and she finally settled on a beautiful twist style that was very reasonably priced and absolutely perfect (and who am I to complain? Happy wife = happy life!). We had the stone so it jusy needed to be set which took no more than an hour. Michael, the owner, was also a real pleasure to talk to and really demonstrated why this company is so highly regarded. I can't recommend Kent Jewelers enough and I will make sure to have all future jeweler purchases go through them first, even if it means a five hour car drive. They're a real gem (pardon the pun) and a mandatory stop if you're in the neighborhood. Thanks again, guys! You're the best!

These guys were great from A to Z. Had my own diamond set in a new ring. The custom work was completed exactly as discussed and the setting was done in front of my eyes and came out great. Nick was courteous, friendly and followed through on everything he promised. The shop was less chaotic and lower pressure than most of the other spots in Diamond District. If you are shopping, give these guys a look.

In my search for an engagement ring, I checked several New York jewelers that had good customer reviews, however most either did not have any asscher diamonds on hand and would have needed time to get them, or really pushed the one stone they did have that was close to my desired specifications. Nick at Kent Jewelry was not only a pleasure to work with, but immediately presented two excellent options at competitive prices, and helped us select the best one. I also saw a necklace during my visit that I was interested in purchasing, and Nick even offered to hold it for me while I made my decision. I would definitely go to see Nick at Kent if you are looking for diamonds or other beautiful jewelry.

I had an amazing experience with Kent, specifically with Greg who was patient, funny, detail oriented, and fair throughout the whole process of designing a bespoke diamond wedding band. We were able to choose everything and we got exactly what we were hoping for, at a price that beat the other quotes from diamond district dealers. They included an appraisal for insurance without our asking, for no additional cost, and everytime we stopped by, Greg would offer to clean my fiancée's engagement ring. I would recommend anyone to take their business here!

Greg is phenomenal! My fiance purchased my engagement ring from Greg while we were posted overseas. He worked with my fiance to get it couriered safely to us. The ring is beautiful. I've never seem a diamond that sparkles so brilliantly, and everyone comments on it. While we were in NY, we stopped in to have the setting adjusted and Greg did it for free in a few minutes. He also repaired my great-grandmother's engagement ring for practically nothing. I will never use another jeweler.

INTEGRITY, HONESTY, and EXQUISITE JEWELRY. My husband and I have purchased several pieces of diamond jewelry from Greg, and they are absolutely exquisite. Greg has seamlessly facilitated the purchase of diamonds even when we moved over 3 hours away from the City. MOST IMPORTANTLY, Greg is a person of integrity and honesty. My husband purchased my engagement ring from Greg and I recently knocked out a diamond. The local jeweler said the entire ring should be reset because of wear and tear with a cost of $2,000 for the rebuild. I wanted to have Greg repair it and sent it to him. He said that the damage was minor, and repaired it at no cost. I believe the local jeweler had untoward motives, and was fraudulently trying to bill me for a minor issue. I will not buy diamonds from anyone but GREG!!!!

Nick was wonderful to work with. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and had a great eye for quality design. He had my pink diamond reset in a way that really brought out its beauty. I am so pleased and grateful.

I have been using Michael for years for rings, bracelets and earrings, mostly diamonds. He gives accurate assessments to the quality of the stones without overrating like most jewelers do. He is successful because he is honest, friendly, and has doesn't overcharge. I would recommend him highly.

This store is amazing. My wife and I have been coming to the diamond district for quite some time but only a few years ago we tried this place and we're amazed. The staff is great, they always suggest and answer all your questions. They will work with you. Unfortunately, I didn't catch the guy's name who assisted us today but I assume they are all brilliant. Disappointed with my purchase. I was never provided with the adequate information or tools to make an informed decision when purchasing, I basically had to take their word as gospel. I would not go back nor would I recommend this place to anyone.

These guys are amazing. My husband had my engagement ring made here. It's perfect. They've provided excellent service ever since. My wife and I got our engagement ring at Kent NewYork, then came back for our wedding bands recently as well. Our hand-made custom wedding bands are incredibly beautiful, and the owner Michael and the staff are all so attentive and caring. Each time we stopped by, they checked and cleaned her ring and made it look as new. My wife gets complimented on her engagement ring wherever she goes. Hands down the best jewelry store in the city. We’ll definitely be back for our anniversary !

If I could leave zero stars I would. This place is known for selling loose stones then blaming you. I purchase a diamond eternity band for $22,000 and 4 months later there was a big diamond missing. After calling Kent they blamed me for dropping the ring ( it was never dropped) so I had to come out of pocket $2,000 to repair it. 3 months later I am dealing with the same issue. There sales man greg who definitely used to sell used cars keeps telling me “if you drive a car into a wall and crash and try to come back to the dealer ship with a dent they will not cover it”. He is blaming me and implying I crashed my ring in to something. This place is a scam please be aware there are several other reviews I am seeing with the same complaints. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE!
