IF YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY MEMBER DO NOT BRING THEM TO THE R Building , The staff and security are the lowest form of human beings dealing with people with PSYCHIATRIC problems.

My sister came to have her baby at King’s county hospital she’s in pain and the nurse would tell her don’t act like she’s sick. Then that same said nurse walked by the door which is no way close to my sister and said “you have covid” and told me I should go home which I refused. A couple hours later another woman came into the room without introducing herself and asking my sister if she wants me to leave. When my sister told her “no” she walked out laughing like it’s some type of joke. I would neverrrrrrr recommend anyone to come to this hospital to have there baby this place is very unprofessional.

I shall be very….very detailed. Cannot remember half of the ambulance ride because my head kept hitting the wall. I never said this before but I hated every female identifying staff member that was near me during the initial hours. I couldn’t stand the way they were shoving and pressing on my head and neck. I’m in pain. And having absolute chills. And these idiots were yelling at me like they knew exactly what I was going through. I couldn’t honestly tell you who was a doctor but it seemed the men actually TALKED to me. They were actually patient and asking me questions. I have mental issues so when I told them I couldn’t answer questions because my head was swimming, they stepped back for a while, gave me space, and came back. I appreciated that. I’ve been to this hospital back in 2018…I remember being in the hallway on a stretcher. No room for me to be assessed in. No doctor nearby. I thought it wouldn’t get worse. This moment gave me insight that the nurses are truly there to just do their jobs and no ounce of care whatsoever. As a black man, I thought it would be great to see my kind assisting me, as hospitals are frightening enough. But even when going against my nature, I felt like I met robotic nurses who were only their to clock in. The doctors, although appreciated, couldn’t save this review from me saying this was an awful experience. I rather choose death….oh and the best part, it took my career to tell me I had COVID…not seizures. It took 7 hrs for me to realize after an entire moment at the hospital…I had COVID…everyone there should be fired for not taking my “I’m cold/shivering/shaking” seriously. But I felt less than a human

Had my care in the obgyn clinic and everyone is super nice and helpful, but the environment needs to be maintained more and also they need to stay on top of appointments. I was supposed to do an ultra sound every two weeks, and it's been over a month and haven't gotten one. When I was in for my last visit, they had brown water and spiders. This isn't the environment you should have for people getting ready to have a baby at your hospital. Two stars just because the staff is super friendly.

Highly recommend not to go kings county hospital for baby’s birth. I have 2 kids born on difference hospital and I see the difference service they provided. They were horrible with service, unprofessional, and bad behavior. They yelled at visitors, and patient. One of the nurse was yelling my wife to “get out” from the room. Not enough nurses to help the patient. New born baby/patient were not taken care of properly. We want a ice for the baby mama, we told the nurse at list 10 time in 6 hours and she is telling us that she is busy, go to other nurses and other nurse saying I’m not responsible to that room. We end up buying from outside. Highly recommend not to go kings county hospital, I wish I can give 0 rating. Thanks

Several weeks ago, I called the Kings County Hospital for a dental appointment.  I told the Appointment Scheduling staff that I wanted to see a board-certified Endodontist for my root canal treatment.  Before she made the appointment for me, I told her very specifically that I DID NOT want to be seen or treated by a student who studied his/her residency at their dental dept. and only wanted to be seen by a board-certified Endodontist.  She said that I had to become a patient of their hospital first and then be sent to an Endodontist.  Since she assured me that I would be seen & treated by the board-certified Endodontist after the 1st visit, I was okay to come for an appointment. On April 1, 2022, after registering with the front desk staff, I was sent to the dental dept. for my appointment.  To my disappointment, I was seen by a student and not the board-certified dentist.  I told him that I was very specific about NOT wanting to be seen or treated by the student when I made this appointment.  He told me that I would only be seen & treated by students there.  He also said to me that the Appointment Scheduling staff didn't know anything about their dept.  How ridiculous is that!!! Does the hospital hire people who don't know anything about their workplace??  Does this hospital train their staff for doing the right job? The student even told me that the dental dept. only trained students to be surgeons and not Endodontists.  He told me that I went to the wrong place and sent me away after meeting with him for 5 minutes. I am very upset about this incident.  It took me 4 hours (both ways/ back & forth) for coming for this appointment.  It had wasted half of my day for nothing.  My time was wasted with no result.  How can an established hospital handle patients/ potential patients with such negligence and unprofessional practice??? This hospital should have trained the Appointment Scheduled staff with knowledge about their internal structure & function of different departments.  They should have told me that correct information about the patients would only be seen & treated by students & not the board-certified dentist/ specialist.  They should not have wasted my time, money & effort for nothing.  This hospital doesn't deserve one star. My comment will not be posted without giving them one star.

Absolutely terrible facility and staff. The ER is disgusting. The walls, chairs, and floors are filthy. Everyone is constantly using hand sanitizer and afraid to touch anything. There were 10 custodial staff working but only one was actually doing anything, and he just swept trash once in the 18 hours we were there. One bathroom was covered in urine and had no toilet paper, the other bathroom had vomit all over the toilet. I asked the front desk if they could have it cleaned and the woman told me that I can find custodial services and ask myself. Then she went back to playing on her phone and sleeping in her hand at her desk. The nurse sitting at the check in desk was texting and absolutely of no help. For some reason, they have someone sitting at an "information desk" but I never saw anyone speak to him, so he spent his time talking on the phone and FaceTime. My friend came to the ER in severe stabbing abdominal pain after years of stomach problems. She was told to wait. She waited 8 hours in the waiting room. Then when she was brought to the back, she waited 10 more hours. When she was finally helped, she requested a CT scan. They told her nothing was wrong and sent her home. So everyone missed an entire day of work for nothing and no resolution. No help, no medication, no treatment. Just a bunch of incredibly rude and miserable nurses, useless facility staff, 20 police in the waiting room all laughing and flirting with each other, and a fat bill.

The Kings County Hospital Center has become a part of our life since March 5, 2023, Sunday when my 81-year old mother in-law became a patient here following her fall at home early that morning. The hospital is very much neat and clean. And the doctors, nurses, support stuffs and the people in the front desk on the lobby who handle scores of visitors every day are amazing. It's said life is beautiful. And I believe it's because of some people who should be mostly credited to make life beautiful. For last 9/10 days the way Naomi Reid, James Nicholas, Dave Surpes, Emanuel Dominique and others have been tolerating visitors like us is simply wonderful. I would also mention hospital cop Ernst Cesar and his fellow men for their kind approach to visitors. They all deserve a big bouquet 💐 of our love and appreciation.

The care I received here was absolutely terrible. The wait time is expected to be long because I was at the ER. However, I could barely understand my doctor due to a language barrier, he didn't tell me what was wrong with me except he'll know when lab results come back in a month (which I can get same day results elsewhere). And as I was being discharged he gave me a printed summary of my visit. Which I had so any questions about but he kept walking away from me "saying he had to go." So I just took it upon myself to figure things out by reading my summary. Only to find out the next day that it's for a different patient. Now im forced to go back to the hospital to get MY discharge papers. Even tho I'm in pain and can barely walk.

What a surprise. What a surprise. Our New Year’s Day was busy with a medical emergency and the folks at Kings County Hospital were great from the first phone call to my family member’s discharge. I called the general number and after a few prompts I spoke with a person; this individual was respectful, polite and helpful. They answered my questions patiently and was able to locate my relative; give me information on their status and attempted to connect me to the direct area. When that area didn’t pick up, I hung up and called the general number again. I was again connected to the same customer service operator - they were helpful and polite. We headed to KCH’s emergency department - we were assisted by the information desk. Once my relative was found in the system, i was given an update on their status. They were being discharged - the individual at the information desk took it one step further. I was told to wait and they came from behind the counter and went to the department where my relative was being discharged from, to see where she was in the process. They came back, gave me the update and instructions on where my relative would meet in the next half hour. Low and behold in less than 30 minutes, me and my relative were together - heading to the pharmacy. Now there should be a disclaimer, the hospital wasn’t crowded. Maybe sickness, accidents and other health crises took a break on New Year’s Day but we definitely experienced exceptional customer service at Kings County Hospital at the start of 2022. I hope it’s a foreshadowing for that institution.

This hospital is very disappointing. For a public hospital there's no real care for the patients very negligent and neglectful. I hate it there. Trying to see a dentist from last year they gave me an appointment for 10 months away and then a month prior to date they called to reschedule putting it on a Saturday causing me miss it, now they're telling me I have wait a month to back to schedule a new appointment for a next 10 months. The poorer class always have it harder.

The nurses activitly bicker with each other in front of patients. With no regards for HIPPA violation. Misinformation runs wild. Getting a straight answer about anything takes great effort. I mean from getting care to administration questions. The caffeine is no good. The campus is nice.

Well I don't know we're to begin. I brought my wife to the er. I was told there is no waiting area for visitor's due to coivd 19. Yet I saw some emt and find workers walking around with no mask. It was stated due to the rise in coivd 19 infection all visitor's must wait out side away from the waiting area. Yet it seems to me that this is a bad policy. What if some who lives for needs to work there for there for there love one. This sued to be a good hospital when my parents work there in the 70's and the early 90's. Working in health we are suppose to not only service the patient but the visitor's as well.

If I could I would leave 0 STARSSS* for this. Their mental institution here is absolutely horrible. The way they treat their patients here are horrible. This place needs to be fully inspected. They need new protocols when dealing with patients. My sister was sent here, and the way they treated her absolutely traumatized her. The stories my sister told me about the care provided to not only her but the other patients here is absolutely disgusting. I will be having her share her story, and I will be finding other people who have been patients here to share this story. And I fully believe it. I remember 2007, 2008 there was a story here where a patient was dead for hours on the floor in the psych unit, and doctors and nurses just stepped over her. Change will need to be made because the absolute care of the patients here is inhumane. FOR ANY ONE ELSE WHO HAS BEEN IN THIS PLACE AND HAS BEEN TREATED INHUMANLY, PLEASE SHARE YOUR STORY IT CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Worst Hospital ever. Don’t go there unless you really ain’t got nothing better to do. Everyone there is horrible, literally. ER there stands for WAITING ROOM. Wait time is about 6-8 hrs if you are lucky. So please if you really have an emergency don’t go there. Even third world countries have better hospitals than that.

Horrible place to work with. I wanted to speak with someone in Admitting and when I asked my question to the individual (she didn't provide her name), she immediately became irritated with me and referred me over to her manager instantly (guess she couldn't be bothered to speak kindly, professionally or do her job with any real integrity). I spoke with the manager who at first seemed to be somewhat different or understanding however, I was told I'd be receiving phone calls or updates regarding the situation I was calling for and I was left unaware and refreshing my computer screen until I saw an update on my end-- with no prior update as I was told I'd be receiving. About 30- 45 minutes went by before I was instructed by my higher up to call the facility and let me just tell you, the BESIDE manner of this place-- is NON EXISTENT. If this is how they treat people who are trying to work with them to make peoples lives easier, it hurts me to imagine how they treat their hospital residents and staff members. The woman (I'm guessing it was the manager Downer that I had spoken to previously) was who answered when I called again asking for an updated time frame and requesting them to allow us to work on our end, spoke to me with the most egregious and unprofessional tone. Completely unacceptable from a HOSPITAL employee with ZERO HOSPITALITY! PLEASE this behavior is so disgustingly rude and unwarranted. Staff needs a refresher course on how to speak properly to other professionals, staff members and patients. Very unacceptable.

I am extremely upset and disappointed in the treatment my father is currently receiving at this hospital. The doctors are not giving him much information and when they do no one is on the same page. The nurses are the same way except for one. Anytime my father ask for water the nurses tells him ok they will bring it but never return with the water. My father would have to wait until the night shift comes in and there’s only one guy (can’t remember his name) that would bring him a lot of water. My dad was suppose to have a treatment done but no one is giving any information in regards. We have to keep asking over and over for an update which should never be the case. I use to work in the hospital and I’ve seen nurses treat patient extremely bad which made me very upset because you should treat others like how you or your family would like to be treated. My dad isn’t giving them any trouble but the nurses are being very unprofessional and nasty towards him.

Laid in emergency for over 4 hours without seeing a single doctor while there for diabetic hyper glycemia (high blood sugar), received no type of medication as my sugar levels kept rising higher. Could have gone in to a coma or died from their lack of treatment

If you have a serious emergency, you might as well go to another hospital, you could possibly lose your life in the waiting room, waiting so long, one of the worst ever. Waited 5 hours to be seen last night, and also soon as you walk in the ER, if you walk straight threw the second door where the waiting room is, you will notice a elderly lady with a all black nurse uniform, she wears glasses, a bit bigger curves, and she is from the Islands what I observed by here accent, she is very disrespectful, and she gives me anti semitic vibes, she gave me a hard time with communication, she wanted me to sign a consent form without even explaining to me what I'm consenting for, and I asked for a copy she said she can't give me one, also when I asked for her name, she told me it was jonn die, Jane doe, I will try to provide a picture and post her so everyone can see and know how to stop this issue.

Dr.Lina Soni was unprofessional attempting to flirt with me and making comments about my looks. She asked me personal questions of why i used to drink, which was very intrusive and uncomfortable. She took off her mask to continue talking to me which was unnecessary and my severe health condition is compromised so i don't want to catch covid. This was very uncomfortable. The worst part is they didn’t do any tests on me and sent me to the ER where i waited for 3.5 hours for 2 pills & nothing was done on me and there’s no resolution to cure me. There was a few staff members that were kind and helpful but unfortunately the cons overweighted this uncomfortable for me and wasted my time.

I broke and dislocated my elbow and this hospital took terrible care. They are highly disorganized, messed up my birthdate and my insurance information, and the wait times are extremely long. Nobody cares to help you either. I feel like taking off my cast (which is falling apart) and doing physical therapy on my own.

My dad came into Kings County on Saturday for breathing problems. Come to find out his blood pressure was sky high and he had fluid on the lungs so they meet admitted him immediately. However, come Monday he was still not assigned of room so he was still down in the ER not receiving adequate care as they are so many people in the emergency room that people are literally on top of each other. There’s no privacy, there’s no consideration for the individual care you need. As a relative of a patient, I should not hear the private details of other patients. Every single HIPAA law was violated during my time at Kings County, and I will never return. In addition, during my time there, I did not see one doctor consistently visit nor evaluate my father until he told him he wanted to check out. We ended up at downstate hospital across the street and received the care and attention that we needed.

Would give zero stars if possible. Service: terrible. Timing: even worse. Have sat in ER for 9 hours with no answers or results. Staff seems careless, incompetent, and rude. If In need of dire medical attention please go elsewhere! You might die on the table and the staff are not knowledgeable enough to pronounce TOD... My roommates would haved saved my life faster and much cheaper ...

The miss diagnosis issue and etc…., Your better off going to a different hospital with more qualified doctors. This on e is completely the worst of the worst

I have a family member with mental illness who said he went there for treatment and was turned away 3 weeks ago. What if this individual had committed suicide or harmed himself? How can you not accept someone that was begging for help? This individual has been in the facility twice before and felt that he needed to go in for some help and therapy and only to get turned away? Mental illness is really serious in this country and that was very disrespectful and could have led to many different negative outcomes. I will be writing the politician’s on this one because I’m just finding this out today. And I was trying to give 0 star’s because a situation like that deserves a big 0.

When visiting this hospital ER your best bet is to go early in the morning if this is possible. I went in what they called fast track and i was there about 4 hours. Everything was backed up. Cat scans , radiology. Maybe time of day . I got there at 11am. Nurse also said certain days wait is longer. I was there on a Tuesday. As for doctors and nurses....care was good. Wait time not good. Especially for "Fast track"

Was feeling feverish and coughing so given todays standards i made it appoint to go and make sure that everything is fine. Wait was incredibly long just to get a rude nurse who came in to gossip with her co-worker then caught an attitude with me because as i was trying to explain what i was feeling i was studdering having a hard time explaining myself and they were not empathetic at all. I just left immediately after, that entire place is unprofessional.

I have sickle cell and the doctors and nurses were very mean to me. They didn’t give me the medical attention and treatments that I needed. One doctor was like he can’t give me high dose of pain meds because he doesn’t want to and he can’t take my sickness away. I had to unplug my on IV several times to use the bathroom while the nurses would be sitting there. I have to get up and leave to go to a different hospital while barely breathing. I wouldn’t go here on my last breathe. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND !!!!

I have never been treated so horribly by a hospital in all my years. No one believed me when I was in excruciating pain and I was made to feel like I was making everything up. The nurses have no bed side manner. It took another ER to diagnose me and to find answers. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Everything went wrong when i made my visit to their ER. They didn’t care about my problem. I was being choked and the person at the info desk was chit chatting with her friend instead admitting me. They delayed me for an hour inside with unnecessary heart rate measuring etc without trying to address or understand the issue in my throat. They threatened me with discharging when I started to record their behaviors with my phone. They scolded me many times inside and they kept telling me I’m fine although I was telling them I was feeling choked . They didn’t enter my insurance info when they were registering me so I had to call them later to fix that. But most importantly they diagnosed me wrongly (pain in the throat) even though I never mentioned any sore or pain in my throat and the medicines were also wrong based on that. They put the pharmacy wrong, somewhere in Texas although I live in New York. I later found that the medicines they prescribed would not only be useless but also harmful for my case (mucus in throat) and I wanted to do fix the pharmacy issue as well but couldn’t reach out to my doctor. They called for post discharge followup and when I told them about these problems they said they couldn’t help. I called and talked to another doctor but he refused to fix diagnosis and prescription issues. I asked him what I can use to clear out mucus in my throat and he said there is no medicine for that. Then I asked about Mucinex and he confirmed it would be useful for that problem. Then I asked him why he said there was no medicine in the beginning and told him it was wrong and he hung up the phone on me. They billed over $1300. So please skip this hospital if you don’t want to lose your mental health unless it’s very very urgent.

Google is going downhill. Here is an idea. Learn to assign "weight" to a review based upon a person's credentials and education. Also validate accounts. And only allow reviews of places that people have actually visited (validate via GPS). This reviewing system is so skewed and distorted. I feel sorry for hospitals and other places that are hospitality-based.

I honestly feel that there’s a lot of negative perceptions about this hospital based on people’s pre-judged expectations. I honestly thought it would be awful cuz of stories I had heard. However, my own personal experience with COVID testing on several occasions has been nothing but amazingly positive. Everyone from security, the admin to the nurses was super helpful and conscientious, despite doing often thankless work. Keep up the good work guys! Thank you!

Recently gave birth here and everything from the emergency room, labour and delivery and then my 2 day recovery in the maternity department was amazing. The doctors and nurses and all other staff treated me like family. Its very easy for that situation to be traumatic as we're our most vulnerable while giving birth and in the days after, but the team that worked with me made sure I felt safe and comfortable. Ps. I usually hate hospital meals but I was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was.

I was refused care at 33 weeks pregnant at the s building 5 floor may 8th because I had my son with me. I explained to the clerk at the front desk that I had Noone to watch my son and I had to bring him. She nonchalantly said that's the policy you can't have your child in here because there are pregnant women around and the kids are usually running up n down. I suggested to have my son come into the room with me and that he will be strapped down with a show to keep him entertained, she really didn't seem to care, showed no empathy and lacked any type of sensitivity towards pregnant women while working in that department. That really had me upset because I just arrived from walking 40 minutes to get there. I was in pain in my lower abdomen and I mentioned that to her. She really didn't care. They need better clerks at kings county because majority of them greet you with an attitude. So disheartening.smh

My personal experience.... it might not be the same for everyone. I did a walk-in at 10am but the walk-in start at 12pm and end 2pm.... I seen someone at about 10:45am even though it should of been at 12pm.... my stay was short but was memorable. Great receptionist, doctors, nurses very friendly and nice.... and soothe any of my fear and worked around my allergies since I have a allergy to a common antibiotic medication.

Was told I only wanted to stay in the hospital because I’m underage and I have a curfew. Meanwhile, I’m in excruciating pain. The nurse was horrible in putting in the IV and blamed me for it.

I'm due for surgery in 2 days and need supplies. I haven't been able to communicate with the social workers on any phone number provided or written messages sent. I either get thrown into a black hole voicemail, disconnected or kept on hold for long periods. Completely useless.

I truly wish -1 stars was an option. If you like careless, uncaring and condescending nurses, subpar care, bloody bathrooms, and bedbugs then you will love the Kings County Hospital emergency room. Besides the issues mentioned prior you can delight in hearing patients have waited in the ER for more than seven (7) hours without being triaged.

I would leave 0 stars if I could. After getting hit by a car I was unconscious and had severe head trauma. I was “released” or in my opinion forced to leave when they found out I had no insurance. I was completely unaware of what had happened and did not feel at all able to care for myself. I was not fully cognizant and I have no idea how I was able to make it home safely. They should pay for the danger they put me in. The lack of competence and empathy of the staff and administration for allowing a place like this to still operate is mind blowing.

I went to the ER last week with a dental abscess and was treated amazingly by Dr. Stein and the team who drained the abscess. I was then referred to the ambulatory dental clinic for further observation the next morning and made it clear that “I wasn’t getting any extractions” but wanted them to see what else they could drain from the tube that was inserted the night before. Dr. Izzo was very short and seemed annoyed that I didn’t want to let him pull my teeth when I had already told him I had a real dental appointment in a few days. Later that night, I got an alert that my chart was updated. I checked it to find that Izzo had quoted me as saying "there ain't no way y'all are taking any of my teeth out today” like I’m a runaway slave. Though he did call and apologize after my complaint, I still feel this needs to be shared. I will be following up to see if he has really taking the diversity or sensitivity trainings I was told by his supervisor that he would be taking.

Do not take your loved ones to this hospital. WORST PEDIATRIC CARE IVE EVER COME ACROSS!!This hospital is nasty, Staff are rude and stay on their phones all day. My 14 year old daughter has been here for 1 week and has not had access to a shower yet because they have no rooms available and will not transfer her to another hospital. My daughter had to use a toilet underneath a sink and wipe down instead of shower for over one week and counting. Not just the nurses… The doctors are very rude. Head nurse was even more rude. If you love your children do not bring them here

Insanely disorganized, no care for patients, only profits. I’ve been rescheduled for a very important surgery 4 times now, due to disorganization from the hospital. The first time, I was given a referral to see an Orthopedic surgeon and the scheduling department scheduled me with a heart surgeon. After six months of waiting, they realized they made a mistake after I arrived to my appointment. They scheduled me with the correct doctor, and then one day before my appointment they called me to say they need to reschedule again, another three months away. I’m now at 12 months of waiting for this very important surgery. Do not schedule any appointments with this money hungry hospital at all costs.

My father was transfer from another hospital to Kings County with a head trauma. The doctors and nurses in ER were very professional and helpful. He was in ICU unit for 1 week. I can always talk to the doctors about his condition. The Nurses and Aides in his room did a fantastic job. Then he was transfer to regular room and Rehab. I can only say big thank you to all people in ER, ICU, REHAB for providing great care for my father!

How can an ER doctor put wrong information on my medical records. I had COVID and they did not even give me my results. I did a home test which was positive went there for treatment because I cannot use oral pain meds since I would react to it. They Siam I was not taking my meds. Highly disappointed. I filled a repute date no one has mentioned anything about the report.

The staff were respectful and nice! I loved how Tiffany and KB (BHA’s) were very helpful and fun to play with. They were there when I needed them most. I like Ms. Kamai Pugh she was very nice towards me. The bad things are the rooms are way to cold and the food is very nasty other than that I think it’s a great hospital!

Terrible! I received a follow up appointment for a knee injury that I had, which was literally several months from the date that I actually came to the hospital for them to tell me at the last minute, the day before my appointment is scheduled that I have to reschedule since the orthopedic doctor was not going to be there. They said that I have to wait an additional month and and 5 days for another appointment! Are you serious ?! This is extemely unprofessional! My knee is killing and I'm pregnant and it's only going to get worst from here.Any other hospital I wouldn't have this problem. I was all ready for my appointment for them to cancel the day before! Ridiculous! You're better off going somewhere else.

I am the parent. The front desk was helpful. The nurse is always awesome I forget her name. Dr. Infurno is a GREAT doctor. She was quick while really paying attention to our concerns. Addressed everything and gave soon follow up visits. The nutritionist was nice until she told me that "No Offense but I Hate Autistic kids" while discussing my child's eating habits who is on the Spectrum. That was extremely unprofessional.

I had COVID-19 testing done today. I had an appointment and paid to take a cab to get to Kings County on time, but had to wait in line like every one else. The area where registration and testing is done has windows but none of them were open. There was a machine on the ground by the registration area and another just outside the room where testing is done that were about two feet high and two feet wide. The windows in the room where testing is done were closed and I did not see an air purifier in the room. Another person was being tested at the same time as me. We sat back to back separated only by a privacy screen. When I had asked to sit on a chair that was behind a screen five feet from this person, I was told that I could not do so. I almost left, but had to have my results quickly. I was highly uncomfortable in a room that was about 15 * 15 feet and contained two testers and two people being tested with no air purifier in the room or open windows. I am used to being tested in a space that is HUGE with many windows where I am separated from the next person by at least fifty feet. Two stars because the staff was efficient.

The nurses lack compassion, very rude and unprofessional. I took my mother to the ED and we were treated with disrespect. A tech or MA told us rudely she had other patients to see and she ain’t got time, just because my mother was taking too long to understand what she was saying. Zero patience. Would not recommend this hospital.

The only good thing about this place is the tech. Other than that I'd rather go to downstate across the street. Not only did they wrongfully discharge my father. (he was rehospitalized like a week after being discharged here. We went to downstate and they did what kings couldnt do in a month, in a week) But they also can't answer the phone. They transfer you to wrong departments. The need to update their numbers aswell. I should not go directly to the hospital to be able to speak to someone. If you miss or have an upcoming appointment even the number provided on the letter DOES NOT WORK. They truly only got 2 stars from me because the icu is A1, specified diet, and they have new equipment (whereas downstate looks broken down lol sorry.) But the communication, empathy, organization, and staff, horrible. I never knew who his doctor was (we often joked that they only came when he was sleeping) The nurses were rough (i forgot the names of those that cared and went above and beyond. I just remember a ms. Morris and a ms.Natalie dialysis nurse). The social workers passed us around like a hot potato. We got into contact with the boss and I think she was the biggest fiber saying the doctors said my dad was fine and that he didn't need a subaccute rehab. WHICH DOCTORS? WE NEVER SEEN HIM/HER. They never had time to speak with us. It was wild. You guys. We litterally had to ask a stranger drag my dad up the stairs once we got home. These people could care less. Found out my cousin works there too and she has the same mentality as them speaking with her was troublesome. And I don't think she even realized it until speaking with me. I think the workers here are just jaded. Just fix your phone numbers please. I want to reach who i need to reach. Because now I need to go there in person to ask and set up appointments which is stupid. I worry for everyones loved ones in there. I really do.

If you’re dieing I advise you call the ambulance before going there on your own. They will have you waiting over 3 hours before seeing a doctor which is ridiculous. If anything happens to you or a loved one y’all should sue because an emergency does not take 3 hours waiting in the waiting room before you can see a doctor. Disgusting 🤢

Horrible location, I came in for wheezing and shortness of breath, they let me sit there for hours. Every time I asked a nurse for help I was told to wait my turn. I was not seen as I walked out after having 6 hours of my time wasted. The medical workers in Kings County see the ER as a playground. There was more socializing than actually helping people and it was disgusting. How they are still open is beyond me as I was not the only one who felt poorly helped.

NURSE- Lucille Doorset, Aaliyha Hospedales, St. Clair Belodr, alway motivated and put positive notes on my dry board. Johnson draw blood every morning (she knows how to draw blood with NO PAIN), Uvon (saved my Life when I was sent back to my room after surgery. ) Douglas night staff Great sense of humor. Doctor- Jack Compassionate, understanding, and patient. Mousorri straight foward/down to earth, great since of humor when he knows your nervous. Dr. Who LOVES what he doeshe comes to work Is cracking jokes with coffee in hand. Porter- St.Phillis very bubblely personality and Sinclair Winston always came I singing we spoke about the Bible and just good old laughter. Food server-Lacy was funny and vibrant, he never has a Dull momoment. I will not name all of the nasty staff members who have horrible bedside manners in this post who should be retrained. There is a Covid outbreak on the 6th Floor of the hospital amongst the staff. My brother tested positive and the staff did not inform me because they are trying to cover up the staff that haven't been wearing masks. Nurse Debra Merlyn Archer, thought she was being funny by telling me it was my responsibility to ask specific questions and if I didn't ask them if he had covid it was my fault that I didn't know. She was nasty and rude. She needs training on how to speak to people and she also needs training on how to be an effective head nurse. Her coworkers told me she makes the floor tense. Aside from that I believe the hospital also has a responsibility to report outbreaks which they didn't.

The wait times are insane. I know people don’t care about women’s issues but wow. Unbelievable. About to see the doctor and he tells me there’s a shift change so I will have to wait another hour…after waiting 6 hours. Just absolutely no regard for peoples time or how they’re feeling. Imagine being in excruciating pain for 5 hours in a dirty waiting room. The bathrooms are dirty too with gunk on the walls. A roach was laying in the water foundation.

Unlike other health and human services officials, staff at Kings County genuinely seek to use their authority justly and without moral turpitude. I have never experienced staff more focused on accommodating their clients then at Kings County. It was a very pleasurable and memorable experience.

The surgeons I saw had a great bedside manner. They were attentive as they listened to any concerns voiced. Questions were answered honestly and explained in a way my sisters and I could clearly understand; and were respectfully given time we need to further discuss the situation..We appreciated the treatment of the staff that day.

The doctor whom I visit is Dr. Denise Romney she is very interested in my health and overall being. She informs me and advises me on all areas of my health when I visit. Im very comfortable with her visits. The support staff at the hospital is very respectful and helpful. I'm satisfied with services received at the hospital thus far.

I GIVE THIS EXPERIENCE ONE STAR. WHY, BECAUSE AS A STAFF THAT WORKS AT KCHC, I FELT WHY NOT USE THE FACILITY WHERE I WORK, IT'S CONVENIENT, AND YOU ALSO HAVE THE PRIVILEGE OF WHEN THE DR IS READY TO SEE YOU ONE OF THE STAFF CALLS YOU TO SAY DR IS READY AND YOU WALK OVER TO WHERE THE APPT IS. IT BEATS WAITING AROUND AND SITTING THERE WITH THE REGULAR PTS. WELL BAD IDEA FOR ME, THREE DIFFERENT TIMES FOR THE ENT CLINIC IN THE E BUILDING 5TH FLOOR I GOT CALLED FROM THE STAFF TWICE TO SAY THAT DR BUTTS AS AN EMERGENCY WON'T BE ABLE TO SEE DR. THE THIRD TIME GOT THE CALL TO SAY DR IS HERE TO COME. I WAS SO HAPPY THAT I'M FINALLY GOING TO MEET THE ATTENDING DR. BUTTS. THE RESIDENT CALL ME IN EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO ME CONCERNING THE PROCEDURE, AND HERE DR. BUTTS WALKED IN, LOUD AS EVER, INTRODUCE HERSELF, THEN THE RESIDENT STARTED TO EXPLAIN TO HER WHAT I'M HERE FOR AND WHAT HE'S ABOUT TO DO, HE HAD ALREADY STARTED TO PREP MY RIGHT EAR, WHEN SHE ASK WHY THE LOBE OF THE EAR A LITTLE RED, AND I SAY TO HER THAT I HAD JUST TAKEN THE EARRING OFF, AND I WAS FEELING MY WAY THROUGH IT AND THAT COULD HAVE HAPPEN, IT'S NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT, CAUSE I KNOW MY SKIN. RIGHT THERE SHE STOPPED THE PROCEDURE, AND I SAY SHE WANT ME TO SEE DERMATOLOGY, I SAY DR. THAT IS NOT NECESSARY I KNOW MY SKIN THAT IS NOTHING, I WAS JUST RUBBING ON IT AS I WAS TAKING OUT THE EARRING. SHE LEFT, THE PROCEDURE NEVER TOOK PLACE, AND IN A MINUTE OR LESS THE REDNESS WAS GONE AS I WAS PUTTING MYSELF TOGETHER TO LEAVE. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED 😔. I FELT SHE AS THE LEADER OF THE CLINIC PRACTICE DID NOT TAKE TIME TO LISTEN TO THE PATIENT, AND RUSH TO JUDGEMENT. A FEW WEEKS LATER I FOUND A DR ON THE OUTSIDE AND GOT THE PROCEDURE DONE IN TWO DAYS. MY TAKE ON THIS IS I WASTED THREE DIFFERENT APPT TIMES AND GOT NOTHING DONE. AND A DR. LIKE THAT WILL RUN THE PTS AWAY WHERE THEY WILL GO AND SEEK HELP SOMEWHERE ELSE, ALL BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T TAKE THE TIME TO LISTEN. SO, NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER USE THE FACILITY WHERE I WORK. YOU HAVE TIME, TAKE OFF AND TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.

The place is good, nothing to complain about... It's also good to have Haitians on the staff, it helps a lot

I don't understand why they don't try to help with the translation, I try to reschedule an appointment and they keep saying we don't speak Spanish, I try to speak English to them, it's not good but they don't help me either. I don't know why they can't do their job.

Doctors take the time to make sure that you are well informed about your health and the importance of taking care of your body.

I want to say a special thanks to the wonderful team at the ER department who took such great care of me and helped ease my suffering when I felt like all was lost. I really wanted to send presents to the whole team but Im not financially able to do that so I thought to write a review instead. Dr. N Berland, Dr C Cruz-Perez and Nurse Elizard Diga were so attentive with amazing bedside manner and empathy and compassion. My faith in humanity and the future of medicine has been restored.

Finally, his surgeon called me and told me to see my son in the recovery room within 60 minutes before going to the regular room.
