This hospital is disgusting! Horrible service . I went in 8 months pregnant with complains of a swollen leg . They sent me to labor and delivery . When I got there the people at the front desk all nurses said there was no doctor to attend me . This was around 6pm . I then told my husband let’s go to NYU hospital and they overhead me saying this , they replied “ yes go there much better hospital” even their staff know how bad of a hospital they are . Don’t go to this hospital they have tons of lawsuits. This hospital Should be shut down . Complain to the health department if you can. They are dangerously dirty, higiene does not exist in this hospital.

DO NOT GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM - GO TO ANY OTHER HOSPITAL IN THE CITY! ----- I was checking into the emergency room waiting room where they took my insurance information down. I was in excruciating pain, and my wife had to help me get in and out of the waiting room chair. After a little while, I was taken into the emergency room - Where there wasn't a single chair or bed available for me. I warned the woman walking me that I hadn't kept any liquids down in the past 8 hours, and I was very close to passing out. But as there was nowhere for me to rest, I did indeed pass out on the floor. From a standing position, which I ended up getting a bruise on my face from. When I came to, I looked around and nobody was even checking on me or offering to help me up. After a few minutes of sitting on the floor, I crawled up to my feet, and went to tell my wife in the waiting room what had happened. She urged me to go back inside to seek help, so I did. At which point the personnel on staff told me that they had already removed me from the system and I would need to be checked back in. Keep in mind, I had gone to the waiting room and cried hysterically for about 2 minutes. So the fact that nobody cared that I passed out on the floor, but they cared that I had walked out and already removed me from their systems just shows the lack of care and empathy they showed me. After that, I actually did very frustratedly tell them I was leaving for good. I left immediately, went to another hospital, and passed 12 kidney stones after a short while. However, I did not receive ANY medication, treatment, or help of ANY kind from Wyckoff Heights medical center. So you can imagine my surprise when I got a notification from my insurance that I would be receiving a bill for this, which I now have gotten in the mail, and that's very disappointing considering the whole situation. I have been charged $795 to my insurance, and I'm being expected to pay $200 of that out of pocket, which is something that I don't feel like I should be responsible for considering I didn't even speak to anyone aside from administrative personnel (no doctors, nurses, or anyone with medical training). This was one of the scariest, most frustrating, and truthfully inhumane experiences of my entire life. The way that this situation was handled by your staff was worse than should be allowed in any hospital anywhere in the entire world. 05.25.22 UPDATE: It has been almost 4 months, and this charge is still hitting my insurance. The patient advocate has been responsive, but haven't been able to get anywhere with this because of internal red tape. Absolutely ridiculous.

DO NOT HAVE YOUR BIRTH HERE!! I had an emergency c-section here and was the worst mistake! I loved my doctor who is affiliated with this hospital, unfortunately. The nurses were not attentive to me or my baby. I was basically left alone for 16 hours with a catheter in me strapped to a bed. They left me no formula for my newborn as it was extremely difficult to get up to fed the baby. I was trying to breast feed on my own and nurses never came in when I pressed the button. Instead they used the intercom to ask me what I needed. The nurses here will let you die before they help. It was an absolute disgusting experience as a single first time mom and I would NEVER go back here. I was so disgusted that I asked my doctor to release me not even 36 hours after a c-section! I'd rather be home alone than be here!!

If I could give negative stars I would. Tooooooo much to write. But the short is AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I went to the ER after a serious and high impact fall onto my head which gashed open. I was greeted by check-in and security with attitude, anger, and meanness. NO URGENCY. NO COMMUNICATION. Took over 4 HOURS before a doctor came to look at my head or ask questions. They do not treat patients as human beings, rather we all seem to just be a problem they don’t want to deal with. A hospital should be a place of help and healing to those in need. People come in with all sorts of emergencies and all levels of pain. Everyone should be treated with care and kindness. I will say, once the doc came after 4 hrs of no help or communication, she was at least very kind for the few minutes they were stapling my head shut. As well ONE of the many many nurses also showed care and kindness. I appreciated that. But generally, the way 99% of the nurses/staff/technicians treated patients is unforgivable and disgusting. If I wrote out a detailed list of every interaction, this would be a novel…so I’ll just say: I will NEVER be returning to this scary and sad place. Unless it’s a LAST LAST RESORT…GO ELSEWHERE! Please save yourself.

Honestly, it depends on who you're going to see in the hospital. So far, I've been treated with kindness, upfront honesty, and organization. Some nurses are rude and dry, but I won't let those experiences ruin the amazing doctors, other nurses, staff, and receptionists who made me feel calm throughout my entire time here

When I got out of the hospital my landlord told me: Florian I have to congratulate you twice! I asked him why and he said you survived the burst appendix and the worst hospital in NYC! In 2010, 3 months after arriving in NY i thought I had a stomach bug and couldn’t keep anything inside even fluids. I got terrible cramps and pain came in powerful waves. After 48hours I was ready to vacate my body. (I actually did for a brief moment) i assume when this happened I looked like a swan Origami folded inwardly - that’s when my partner called the ambulance. They brought me to whyckhoff hospital after a brief survey i underwent emergency surgery as my appendix had already burst and I was developing a sepsis. After they took out my intestines and showered them well they stuffed all back inside and sew me back together. A little bit off so I still feel the tension from it today. But good enough. I woke up in a room with 4 other patients and a drain pipe sticking out of my belly. And asked if I could see my appendix, which was denied. This is when I met Miss English. My nurse she was my savior my mother and the Holy Ghost. For the next 2 days She was everything and more. Although the hospital was overbooked and patients had to sleep in chairs and beds in the hallways I felt she Was only caring for me! An extraordinary superhuman! I hope she is still there working with the same love, care and force!

I wish I could rate this hospital a zero. I had went to the emergency room yesterday in pain. The front desk lady she was dark skin had a bun was incredibly rude. When I was waiting in the line to check in and I was next I didn’t get a hello or how can I help you ? She looked at me and just said YES ? With an attitude. The nurses took me in and saw me and the nurse who had braids and was wearing burgundy I asked her one question? She answered me in a rude and sarcastic way where it made me very upset. I decided to get up and walk out the hospital because I could not take the rudeness and attitude from these nurses and front desk especially when I was in so much pain. Whoever reads this I understand this is a neighborhood hospital but please go somewhere else. Do not come here. Literally the worst hospital in Brooklyn! I went to a different hospital the same night and I got treated way better, nurses were more compassionate and showed empathy. Please do not come to wyfcoff hospital. Literally the worst!

Went in for an ultrasound and the male technician got mad when I requested a female technician for the vaginal procedure. He asked why and then asked me multiple questions and was angry and stormed out. Then the female technician came in and didn't want to tell me the man's name when I asked, told me I should have requested a female technician sooner (I requested it when I found out I was getting a vaginal procedure) and then told me I would be fine. Overall a completely unprofessional and uncomfortable experience. Teach these technicians some bedside manner.

Worst dental clinic in the city. DO NOT GO HERE! They will waste your time. They have too many patients and not enough employees to properly serve them. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT PEOPLE. You are just a number to them. Go anywhere else you can. The Dentist was sadistic and appeared to enjoy causing me pain. Also, filthy.

Like someone said here, security team needs to be trained on people’s skills. They are highly confrontational, and one of them was in my face when I made a gesture of exasperation (waving my hand) after it was taking so long to know what was going on with my mother. I was going to walk away and sit down. He didn’t like my hand gestures and was highly confrontational claiming I was making a rude gesture to him. So it seems I am not able to make any facial or body expressions in front of him? Who does he think he is? I tried to complain to the patient advocacy but they are a joke. I did not feel safe going back to the ER to ask for more information about my dear loved mom. The advocacy and security team claim I had an issue about COVID protocols. I had an issue with security being disrespectful and rude while I was asking a question. There are protocols to follow, but there are also ways to treat the family of loved ones also. Avoid this place! They don’t respect a patient or the family. They will have you waiting for six hours without letting you know what’s going on with your family member in the ER. And to top it all, will have confrontational security staff trying to talk in the rudest manners. Patients and family members deserve respect!

Checked in after having sharp chest pain after my 2nd covid shot, after waiting an hour they took 2 capsules each of blood and had me wait 3 hours waiting while an old man screaming in pain for 2 hours straight before a nurse gets to him, going into 3am IN THE MORNING! a nurse finally comes but tells me they need more blood and that I would have to wait an additional 2 hours… Honestly befitting this place is rated the worst hospital in queens on how this place continues to function.

My routine STI screening needed for an essential medication was moved to telehealth in Jan due to the pandemic. The nurse told me I had to go to Fast Track to get my blood work done. After being admitted, I was informed I was giving the wrong directions and would be charged $600. After multiple unanswered phone calls to Patient Advocacy and emails, I still have not received any help in correcting this bill. They do not care about the patients they serve.

Please save yourselves the embarrassment and the wait not only did I have to explain a confidential issue to multiple random hospital personnel they still refused to help me after. The triage lady was so rude and rolled her eyes several times and kept saying other people have issues too. I have never heard that come out of medical persons mouth. After finally getting pass the triage, they made me explain again. 5 people in counting. After being poked four times still no Iv, my doctor said that someone would be over to give me some help I waited over an hour for help while internally bleeding and just having the Iv needle in my arm. After an hour of waiting with just a needle in my arm and no help still. I just opted to go home I rather die there instead. Then they had the nerves to try to make a sign a paper that said I refused their help as if they even tried to help me! After removing my IV myself because i was tired of waiting for my nurse to come back after i said i wanted to go home and she made me wait longer. I finally got to see a doctor who turned out to be the supervising doctor but I was just met with her additionally chastising me she said “ sometimes it takes nurses a long time to get back” when I asked “over an hour for an Iv” she said simply shrugged and said yes. Please save your life you probably better off at brookdale. Black health doesn’t matter at this hospital at all.

I had surgery yesterday the staff were friendly and very professional, all the doctor's and nurses were good to me I had a experience at Wyckoff hospital. And I appreciate that the nurse Marie call to check up on me she was very nice and friendly I felt safe. Dr Al Adams is very good surgeon and Dr Jason Sedgwick was very friendly and informative. They didn't let me feel like I was about to do surgery that's how cool it was, and to all the nursing staff and doctors thank you 🙂

Just need to took of little a fish bone is taking whole night. I don’t know is really anyone care about reviews if so they need to change their service. I really don’t understand why are they like this . I have situated so many time with doctor appointments but I really did not expect this kind of service from emergency service. Are they really care about patients.

The entire ER here is a joke. No running water at water fountains. Nice receptionists, but everyone else including ER staff, security, and NYPD were rude AF. I was told I would have 15 minutes with a patient, but then they rescinded and forced me to leave while I was dealing with a mental breakdown. Clearly their staff is not trained to handle mental health crises. Do not go here for a medical emergency- your life may depend on it.

I find it highly ridiculous that my mother has been sitting in this hospital since 530am this morning and has not once seen her mother ONE TIME nor has received a single update on her conditions. My grandmother has been sitting in recovery since 11 am this morning with no room since this hospitals records supposedly show she wasn’t supposed to stay. How is this acceptable . How does NOT ONE PERSON have the decency to allow her daughters to even see her after hours of patiently waiting !! How does someone even call this a hospital?? Hospitals are supposed to give people peace of mind knowing that they are doing their very best to make the patients families aware of their loved ones situations! I find this highly inappropriate and inconsiderate. My mother couldn’t even see her mother to simply drop off her phone because visiting hours were over ! This is disgusting and no family should ever receive treatment like this. The lack of customer service and care from this staff is disturbing . If i could give a 0 I would.

EMERGENCY WARNING ⚠️ This hospital is disgusting my brother went to the hospital on February 8th 2023 for a minor stroke . The care he received was horrible they have a bunch of Caribbean Nurses who are Nasty and don't give a dam about anybody. The doctor's are all resident's doctor's. My brother died in that hospital February 27th 2023 he was 62 years old. I did all I could to get him transfer out. His wife has been calling the patient advocate speaking to Ms Carmen for his belongs and as of today 3/25/3023 no respond. Every day it's a different Excuse. Did I mention they keep his clothes. Mayor Adam do your job and Close this hospital.

Visited the ER today since I needed a doc to quickly do a physical exam for a chronic issue I’m experiencing. I will say the facilities look a little old, and run down, but the care is excellent. These people are professional and very respectful. Checking in was easy and I was seen fairly quickly. The nurse was a total angel, she made me feel safe and like I was in good hands. Then they sent me up to see the doctor. Doctor Contreras was very attentive, professional, respectful, tactful, and did everything she could to get me an answer. Everything was done neatly and orderly. It didn’t even take that long, and I was soon enough on my way. They have a cool app where they update your tests, and the lab results are posted almost immediately after you leave. I was iffy coming here because of the low rating, but thankfully I had a good experience. Thank you to the Wyckoff team!

horrible hospital my daughter had fever for multiple days and was breathing rapidly the doctor saw her for one second and said she was fine and wanted to discharge. I requested lbs which she did but did not do IV fluids even though i told the staff she wasn’t drinking or making wet diaper long story short i was discharged and made to feel as nothing was wrong. I took her to a different hospital where she required oxygen and admission for 3 days for pneumonia and dehydration. They really don’t care about patient safety here avoid at all cost.

Worst experience at a hospital I have ever had. There were fluids on the floor of the waiting area. A screaming man yelled at the nurses and threw a cup of urine. Security was nowhere to be seen, my wife had to go get them herself, interrupt them from their phone, and they lazily walked in and didn't do anything. The bathroom..... My god, the horror. The baby changing station was just a steel slab, no doors on the stalls, no lids on the toilets, just the bare rim There was bits of actual tissue on the floor (bodily tissue, not Kleenex), and an 8 inch high pile of toilet paper under each toilet, with no less than 4 different colors. Some were 100% blood. And the toilets were also very high, unless you were extremely tall, not is impossible to squat. We left before being seen, genuinely worried of getting something worse.

Horrible hospital, father has dementia and he walked right out from his room without anyone ever noticing, luckily he made it home where I had to bring him back just to get released the next day. He came home with covid and gave everyone it so I had to bring him back to the ER where they made us sit with everyone else for 5 hours pretty much spreading covid to everyone in that ER

I've been coming here for quite some time now and its sad that there are no hospital in the area that makes you feel even remotely comfortable as a woman to approach some staff in this hospital. A woman/nurse asked me what I had surgery for i couldn't pronounce the word and she told me "i should know my BODY TODAY! when I came in last Tuesday a man at the front desk around 230pm was so rude to the women coming in he made it uncomfortable to say what was wron. I understand the hospital is a crazy place but human decency still available!. The doctors really try to rush you out like your the same as everybody else. I am the person who didnt go to school for medicine so also when they don't explain it thoroughly people go home confused. I will shine light on the men that did my surgery who made me SO COMFORTABLE my nurse Ms. brown and Sarah was aamazing. The nurse surgeon who kept trying to change my bandage couldnt seem to get it right because i was bleeding for almost 3 hours because she didn't close the wound right. Another nurse came to fix it after I went through 7 towels of blood a sheet set the surgeon nurse didn't make me comfortable after she kept saying certain things were out of her paygrade. This hospital can be way better and way more experienced than this.

This so-called hospital is really just a glorified homeless shelter with an extremely rude and incompetent staff. If you or a loved are ill or injured and in need of medical attention stay as far away from this filthy dump as possible. After spending 5 days in the ICU I was transferred to a general floor which really resembled a dirty homeless shelter. I was also accused by a nurse of being a homeless man who just wanted food and a place to sleep. That seemed to be the sentiment of many staff members. Some nurses were nice but overall my experience was not good and if needed I'll go elsewhere..

Worst hospital you’ll ever enter. If you have an option of going to another, please do. The most horrible staff you’ll ever encounter. Nurses and doctors ignore patients and families most times and don’t get me started on their attitudes and rudeness! No information is provided, my family had to call the ER multiple times to get an update and after waiting hours, turns out no one was attending the patients. Mind you, my grandma had just had a stroke and was left unattended and ignored for HOURS! Hardly any speak Spanish, which doesn’t help when the majority who come in are Hispanic and their families and health aides aren’t allowed to accompany them. So many people come here because it’s the closest but it is not worth it. Surprised it hasn’t been shut down at this point.

Everytime I go to the clinic for anything, I'm waiting more than an hour to be seen when I already have an appointment. Why make an appointment if you're going to take more than an hour to be seen? And then the nurses are terrible, the last time I got my blood drawn from the clinic, their nurse wants to tell me that I should read a Bible because I no longer believe in Christianity, made a complaint and the whole nursing staff backed her up and said it didn't happen at all!!! So I guess I made everything up just to look like a victim?? Terrible management on both parts. Update: I walked in the emergency department complaining of abdominal pain and crying and nobody wanted to take me in the emergency room, I had to scream in pain on the floor at 2 security guards and the triage nurse practitioner cause she didn't want to register me when I told her the triage room told me to go to them. Terrible management and service.

They did surgery removing half of my thyroid and several cysts. They sent me home with a fever and told me to only take Tylenol. Three days later, an ambulance returned with DVT, almost dead. and I already had a spot of blood in one of my lungs. It was a very difficult situation.

Honestly, one of the worst hospital ever. There is no bedside manner, nurses seem overworked and its reflecting on the care being provided to patients. This hospital's president needs to focus more on having long lasting results rather than the mess that continues to evolve. Security needs to be trained better. As I was being discharged I was asked to show my discharge papers, as if I were an inmate. AVOID at all costs.

Terrible place to go at. I came to this hospital at 11:00pm about 11:30pm I was being call for some test. Anyways after they wheel me in a room doctor took more tests and stuff. They wheel me to the ultrasound room about 30 minutes later. Did the ultrasound left came back to the room where I was at. No updates at this point. On top of that not once the doctor ask if I was okay. I never even got to see the doctor. Anyways about 3 hours later a lady came and took my insurance and then another lady came for me to put my stuff in. That was that. No updates on how I was doing. I was in pain my baby was in jeopardy because of them and they b.s. . I would if felt better if I actually got to see the doctor and told it was okay. My man had to call and ask what was the hold up because at this point I was just In bed crying in pain and they wouldn’t see me. At 5am I got my discharged papers. I ask if my baby was okay and they said yeah. They Give me a bunch of papers and when I ask them a simple question of why was i bleeding ? They couldn’t even answer. This place is a joke. Do not go here. I would never come back.

People are nice. But from the 2 times I have been to the emergency room one as accompanying someone and one as a patient we waited like 5 hours. They are not very ‘urgent’ they take their sweet time and give you very little information while you wait, they also give no information to your loved ones waiting outside. If you can go somewhere else I would encourage you to do so especially if it’s a life or death situation, but if it’s the last resort I guess it’s ok.

I almost died because of the malpractice in the emergency room at this hospital. I can’t list everything that happened because the story would be too long for this review. Just please don’t go to this emergency room for your own safety. Based on my experience I think that it is likely that people die on a regular basis because of the malpractice there. Since my experience there I have spoken to several other people who have gone to the emergency room there and literally every one of them says it was a nightmare.

My dad is there right now. He had a cardiac arrest and the ED and CCU doctors couldn't be better. Although my dad's prognosis is grim, the doctors have kept me informed, answered questions, showed compassion and assured me of all steps they were taking. The waiting area is a bit dirty, but the CCU is prestine and my dad, even unconscious is being treated with respect and care. I can't thank the doctors enough for all of their efforts

Hostile/Toxic Environment Medical records Dept. HIM Representative - Medical records dept Medical Records department is being managed by toxic director Samatha and her sister in law supervisor Josephine Acoste. The nepotism is so big in this environment that it makes the workers feel stifled . Director Samantha hands all her daily task besides emailing on to supervisors Josephine and in return Josephine hands down her work along with director work to staff. Then management applies pressure on to the staff by sending countless amounts of emails. The department would be better if there was more suited people in management position. Beside that the worker load is good and the people are also good kind hearted minus a person name Wendy Peaz who’s been in that department for a short time but has been working at the hospital for a total of 18yrs. Wendy constantly has a disrespectful attitude towards clients who are not in her likeness. She shares her stereotype and racial bias about clients who comes in to retrieve their medical records. When you relate this news to management you are told that “you are not the right fit in this department.” Wendy constantly comes in sick and spreads what ever superbug she has throughout the medical record department. Wendy constantly reports false news to management for her own personal gain. So if you are interested in working in a toxic environment due to management and want to be surrounded by good people and one BIG Bottom feeder . Medical records department at Wyckoff Hospital is were it’s at.

What I don’t like about the emergency room is the receptionist got every patient stating their address and phone number along with name date of birth out loud for everyone to hear. If one of those people had a stalker in that room they could hear all their information. That’s crazy to me. They should have them fill out a paper asking all that information and then shred it or give it back to the patient. They need to fix that asap

Tired of the neglect every since my mother had her gastric sleeve surgery done here. twice she has come to this hospital where the surgery was done unable to eat sleep or do anything in constant pain and cant even keep water down without vomiting every 5 minutes. Contact the surgeon at this hospital whos response was a oh i don't know why that's happening. There are never any answers here from anyone staff doctors surgeons NOONE. Its sickening at this point that hospital is even still up and running a patient has to beg for a MRI because you people can care less about their stomach issues that have now happened since your surgeon performed a surgery. i recommend no one to go here not even for an emergency. I will make it my business to file complaints wherever to whomever i can in regards to this!

Horrible experience. Never in my time as a diabetic have I had nurses who have such a lack of care for knowledge or their patient. They often times would leave me for up to an hour with no help after hitting the call button and needing insulin, shame me for ordering food to my room that I could actually eat, and then when it came time to discharge me: rip out my IVs with little care and when wincing in pain told to “do it myself then”, get my paperwork thrown at me and forced to leave mid meal

The most dysfunctional hospital I’ve ever been in. I feel bad for anyone who works here, and I fear for the patients.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Yesterday I went with my mother for a pain in a tooth, the inflammation was already reaching her eye because she was so bad, we arrived at 7:45 pm and it was 1:15 am and they had not yet treated her. It is not fair that one goes for an emergency because they can no longer stand the pain and that they make them wait more than 5 hours. At least one person dies waiting to be treated.

Wyckoff Hospital has come a long way in the last couple of years from the hospital I remember in the early 2000s. My mom has come for a few procedure at the hospital in the last year and each time the experience has been a positive one. Today she was there for an outpatient surgery and I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful, attentive and caring the staff were. I can not say enough wonderful things about the provider that handled her care, she is absolutely amazing but the staff were just as great. Thank you for the dedication and care.

I came through ER because of an accident. When I asked for a plastic surgeon to do my stitches, they sent a general surgeon after 5 hours wait. I found out this 6 days later when I went again trying to remove the stitches. The attendee dr don’t know who to ask for permission to remove my stitches. He called but no one is available so I came all the way for nothing. I asked to void my visit, register said I was still seen and because my wound is not healed yet that’s why I can’t get stitches removed. Told me a total different story. Now I am waiting for someone to call make another appointment. Most staffs are very nice and polite when you are there, but obviously just smooth you down then turn around don’t really care what you asked. Don’t understand why there are so many miscommunications and mistreatment.

I was a patient at WYCKOFF MEDICAL center Christmas day 2024 I have never ever experience the hospital like this, it took nine hours to place me in a room , The room smell like urine the floors were dirty and I saw a dead roach, three hours after I am omitted into this room roaches were coming out from everywhere I took pictures and videos I could not believe I reported this to thnd she said there was no such things as roaches in the hospital until I showed her the video, I had pneumonia and the flu I was on oxygen I difficulty breathing , The room was extremely Hot no offense elation no type of air, I was told by the nurse to ask a family member to buy me a fan for the hospital, the next day exterminator come in to the room to spray roach spray remind you I’m on oxygen and I can’t breathe and they found nothing wrong with that, as the day went on I didn’t see any roaches but as soon as it got dark the roaches came out again not one not two but many they were on the furniture they were on the bed I was afraid to go to sleep and fear that one will crawl in my ear, I explain to the nurses again that there are roaches in this room I was told that they were no other rooms and they would have to wait so I could be moved basically I just had to deal with it, now the food I’ve never in my life have ever seen anything so disgusting I could not identify what they were serving so of course family had to bring me something to eat, eventually I was changed to another room with another patient at it who had a lot of equipment in there really was no room for another bed my bed was pushed up against the wall when you came into the room the door would hit the bed, mind you in the room you had to keep the door close they will not leave the doors open because they said we had the flu and they did not want everyone else to get sick mind you everyone on the floor had the flu and again this room was extremely hot, as I explained the room was very small for two patients I couldn’t make it to the bathroom it was too much equipment in the room so they brought in a commode and that’s what I had to use in front of a door no privacy whatsoever , I would not recommend this hospital to anyone that for a human net freight animal hospital need to be closed I know a lot about this hospital I was a candy striper at WYCKOFF hospital when I was 14 years old, I am 66 years old now I remember when they built the new Building sadly the hospital needs to be closed and the service that you are getting from this hospital no one deserve no one whatsoever and clothes I will send my pictures

Bad WiFi. Horrible wait times in ER. Some staff have attitude problems but the food ain’t bad and some staff make you see the brighter side. Old machinery, and not the best maintenance all around. Too few doctors too many patients !!! These folks need a life line with all due respect.

Probably not the worst hospital in the world, but definitely one of the worst in the country. This place was a pit even 50 years ago, and it is a billion times worse now. OMG! You will find some of the laziest, rudest most unhelpful 'people (if you're generous to classify them as such)' in the world working here. * But in their defense, the clientele is beyond horrifying - especially with the most recent unwanted, forced increase to the US population. My friend wound up at Wycoff because an ambulance was necessary - and you don't get a choice when you call an ambulance. Luckily, after a miserable experience at Wycoff, we were able to find an excellent doctor/hospital not affiliated with this place.  Sadly, the people that have to come to Wycoff don't really have other options.

DO NOT GO HERE! AVOID THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL COSTS! You’re better off traveling to a hospital in Manhattan or Queens because they do NOT care about their patients at all! Negligent staff and workers that leave their patients in a worse condition than they originally came in.

Dental department ...... I would put 0 stars .. I ended up here for a root canal in January .. they gave me an appointment for June 😞 .. to that appointment I was 1 min late . So they pushed it for late October . October comes . Am in the chair prepped for the root canal . They brought in someone that was clearly a student , this student messed up the tooth so bad to the point that the tooth has to be removed .. now I found out I need a sinus lift and a bunch of other things and am looking at a 9k bill plus interest.. I need a lowyer

I've been a patient at Wycoff Heights Hospital since 1998, but Only for the GYN routine checkups & Mammograms as well. I've had two minor surgeries in 1999 & 2000 with my mother accompanied me safe back home in Woodside. The doctors 🥼 & the nurses were VERY GOOD TO ME & my mother was too a patient there as well. I remember the GYM has Suddenly had it's own clinic just across the street. I didn't care about the long trip from where I'm living all the way out to Brooklyn & to top it off, the doctors & nurses made it Worthwhile!👍🏾😉 Thats how BEAUTIFUL the Healthcares were to me! 🙂 Last but not least, both the hospital & the clinic was clean. I know THEY STILL have my records stored in whatever file 🗃️🗄️ draws somewhere! Unfortunately, I discontinued going to Wycoff Heights Medical Center in 2010 & it has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE HEALTHCARES EITHER! 👍🏾😉😀🧑🏼‍⚕️🏥🤍💚🧡

I really don’t know how he got this job . But hospitals have to take this serious. Coz this doctors doesn’t know how to talk with patients. He is so disrespectful. I had a bad fever for few day. So I went to ER for emergency check up. We got this doctor, his name is Fahad Farooq M.D . He didn’t know what he is doing and he let us wait for 3 hours. He literally disappeared. We asked the nurse and nurse didn’t know any ideas about us coz he didn’t told them about his patients. We thought he was busy with some other patients but I saw him talking with other female coworkers. It’s so sad that doctor don’t care about his patient. He is making lots of money for what. He is not even doing his job . Hospital have do something this Doctor! I don’t wanna see someone else will get this unprofessional doctor. We wait for 3 hours. He even didn’t treat us. Finally we went to urgent care. We got his I.d pic in below. So hospital have to take action on his behavior!

This place scams their patients out of their money. They charged me bills from multiple billing department locations, often doubling up for the same dates. When i tried to bring this to their attention, they said they could not help me and told me to call yet another department whose number is disconnected. Never got my money back that I paid twice as much for the same appointment. On top of extra mystery 10 dollar fees per visit. And later on come to find out I was never supposed to have any copays at all with my current plan that is through the city. The care here is whatever, nothing stellar, but the billing practices are evil.

The only redeemable quality of this hospital is the ICU staff. My father had to beg for hours to get Tylenol for his pain, given food that looks and tastes like garbage, on top of that if you want anyone to call you and update you they say that they will call but never do. My father fell out of his bed during their care, they assigned him a nurse who was supposed to watch him non stop. Today I was informed that said nurse slept next to him in a chair while my father was supposed to be observed. The staff is rude and unhelpful. It’s a terrible terrible place

An2 hour wait for triage. A confusion on which window to take patients. Triage pediatrics with teen pregnancies. Came in with an asthma problem that would need a nebulizer treatment. From after 10pm and now.almost 2am and child left to cough and choke. No treatment..No doctor to be seen.ir care for. Administrator says it is a lot of patients just have 5o wait to breathe.

I hate this hospital! Specifically the Emergency Room department. They have no sense of urgency nor care for the people who are in pain. Its just a waiting game for them. They have disgusting attitudes. Overall I would rather treat myself at home in pain before EVER coming back here.

This hospital is the worst hospitals ever . I can’t believe I’m saying this . But they are worst than woodhull hospital. No wonder this hospital has a 2.5 rating . I was admitted yesterday in the emergency room , I told them I have asthma and been weeze for three days and told me to wait . I waited 45 mins with wheezing in my chest dying couldn’t breathe right instead of admitting a person that has asthma , to give them treatment right away . They never check my chest or nothing till I had to speak up. Towards the end this doctor told me . @ Boyd , Katharine physician . Chest rays will be given your last treatment will be the third one . I told this doctor . While everything check , can you please gather up my medicine and my discharge papers . She send a nurse to place my last treatment of asthma . Than automatically discharge me from the emergency room without even checking if I still have wheezing . And the crazy part . They never check my chest before they discharge me . What a Unresponsible department this is . Also a older senior citizen man in a wheel chair came in . Could not breathe at alll .. and told him to wait . The register people are the worst . That’s a very bad department with bad employee just talking and talking instead of helping people indeed of help . Their need a to be more supervision and more experience workers . This is a dam shame people have tonsuffer and wait instead of gettin treated right away . I could had die with a asthma attack . . Also the people that send out the medicine to the pharmacy. I clearly told that employeee . It in Walgreens . And they send it to c v s .

Today I came with my 2 year old daughter who I know for sure she had a fever ! Because her body was steaming hot I ask the triage nurse to please check her temperature to see how high it was her answer was I can not do that ! She refuse to do her job , i remind her her duties as a triage nurse and she said your daughter gonna have to wait I ask for someone else to please check her temperature the ER Doctor takes the nurse side and handed me the thermometer for me to check my daughter’s temperature. If you want you can check yourself was what the doctor said to me ! How Hospital can allow ppl like this work In a place where parents are coming for help to their child . NEGLIGENCE!!!

My dad has been in this hospital on the 2nd floor, 3rd and 5th. Most nurses never know anything if you ask them. My dad can't drink cold things and they bring him ice water. They come to check the pressure but if you tell them that you need to know how the patient is doing, they don't know, they say I'll call the doctor, who sometimes doesn't arrive. I have spent hours in the hospital, for example from 12pm to 7pm and the doctor NEVER arrives. I walk through the hallways and some nurses are eating cookies. others on the phone. others in the unoccupied rooms, speaking on the phone lying on the hospital bed. And if you don't know English they get upset. they make faces not all nurses but most of them. I have had my dad here for about 6 months now and sometimes he stays hospitalized and the story is the same. Today I had to help my dad change his diaper because the nurse didn't show up FOR HOURS. and here I'm still waiting for the doctor. I arrived at 12pm and now it's 4:30pm. The nurse only came in ONCE today and the other time she came in was because I called her. TERRIBLE STAFF. I'm writing this comment and I can hear them talking about the horoscope and how the other one have so much fun in the party. Pleaseeeee

Haven't been called upstairs till 8am saw a dentist till after 10am. Made appointments and I tell you, God knows I'm not lying the set appointments everytime on the sameday to attend the appointment , Wyckoff calls me to reschedule because " the doctor is not coming in today" they rescheduled next time samething same excuse and mind you the time frame between appointments is way more than a month . You know just now they call me to tell me the samething. This is the 3rd times. After waiting over a way over a month . I had to ask , is it my insurance you'll dnt care for. This is RIDICULOUS. Now I'm asking for a soon as possible appointments she has to call back. This is one RIDICULOUS place.

Why am I in my room calling the operator to get someone at the nurse station to contact my nurse to respond to my call button alerts? Here for an hour now and not one person has come. I can still hear the button going off. This is just the worse. I could be dying and nothing. There are gnats in my room everywhere. A swarm of them came out of the AC where the meal attendant had to bat them away. It is like an infestation. So now I am to wait for environmental aid to come to my room. The custodian only comes to change the garbage bags in the room none in the bathroom. They don’t even clean the bathroom or sweep or mop the floors. It’s freezing in here all day and night. I am being told that the heater is not working in my room. So clearly it is a radiator and I think this may be where the gnats may be located and nesting. I honestly just want to go home at this point. This was not a very pleasant experience for me. I just want to go home. If the agenda was to make me so uncomfortable that I would want to go home—then they have succeeded indefinitely!

I went to emergency pediatric and I was surprised with the efficiency they have now. It looks like there is a new administration that really reinforced the patients care and customer service. I have been going to wyckoff for many years and I can tell u with not doubt that it is a new hospital. We have to understand that there always someone doing all the contrary, but I notice that if you complain about something they addressed right away. I which they keep going that direction.👌👍

Terrible service. I went explained 10 weeks pregnant and in terrible pain. Took urine and moved me to the er with all of the other patients. Gave me a bloody gown, with some sort of residue on it. Doctors and nurses walking by no one came in. Waited for so long and the nurses and doctors talking amongst eachother and eating sushi. When I went to ask if I can go I was told yeah we didn't do anything so we do not need to sign you out or anything. You're free to go unless you wanna be seen. I just left and took myself to a more professional hospital. One that is actually attentive and clean.

Most of the staff we interacted with were polite and friendly. However, while we were on the third floor waiting room, two african american ladies dressed in blue asked us what room we were visiting, my friend responded and she told us "can you go back to your room" no explanation, no please or thank you. A little courtesy in a hospital setting goes a long way, but maybe they lack the mental capacity to interact with people like human beings

I arrived with a bad toothache I was told doctor not see anyone for the day and I will only be given pain meds to return on Tuesday so see Dentist. I was sent to fast track, there was only 3 people ahead of me, one was elderly lady with a lump on her head in extreme pain, another was in a car accident we all have been sitting for more than 2 hours without being seen. I ask what was taking so long, we were told a doctor HS to be assign before we can be seen or treated. The guy who sat at the desk was sleeping, the other employee is in the room playing on her phone after she was discussing all her personal business while a gentleman was standing waiting to ask a question they just ignored him. It’s been hours and my head gonna pop. It’s been back and forth no one cares, the run your insurance and just have you wait.

If I can give it 0 stars I would. I had a surgery here Wednesday, August 17 for gallbladder removal. I came back Sunday, August 21 to the emergency room for a possible infection they kept me overnight to do an endoscopy. After the procedure instead of putting me in the room that I allegedly have from being “admitted” they send me back to the emergency room where I wasn’t being monitored. Nobody came to talk to me about what was gonna be the next steps or check my vitals. I’ve asked multiple times if I can talk to someone who is on my case and after waiting 3 hours they proceeded to say nobody can’t talk to me until everyone is updated on the patients because of the “shift change.” This hospital is so bad I don’t even know why it’s open. Definitely will be filing a lawsuit for negligence.

Was sent up from the ED to “Fast Track,” which is supposed to be the hospital’s ‘Urgent Care.’ Not only was I there for over 3 hours, but the exam rooms were absolutely filthy. Syringe caps, half filled water bottles, pieces of bandages were all over the room. The furniture was dirty and rusty. Yes, actual rust, metal corrosion, on the cabinets, desk, and exam table. This was not just that room. After returning from X-Ray, I was put into another room and the same thing. The staff was uncaring and inattentive. There was an unattended duffel bag right in front of the receptionist counter. When I informed them, they said it belonged to a man sitting in the waiting area, who just happened to be playing his music at an ear deafening level. They did nothing about the bag or the music. This was probably the worse experience I have ever had in a healthcare facility.

Besides a delayed response as indicated below, the dept to call for further info. does not answer! What good is the responses for? More so, pymt-in-question still missing! WHERE’S MY PYMT? ORIGINAL MSG: Besides the extreme efforts to improve the services at hospital in all avenues, one serious concern is that providers that service the patients sometimes don’t get paid for services rendered. Why - because the billing dept don’t bill the carriers due to neglect or whatever. Providers should be paid accordingly. I know this ‘cause I get copies of letters sent to the dept of the denials ‘cause the bill was sent too late. I’m sure the higher ups are not aware of this. More so, a payment sent to Wyckoff (at present) by me for a bill needed to be rightfully paid is missing in their system. Payment was never applied to account in question. Wyckoff cashed the payment. I have sent them copy of check. But, as always, there’s always some red tape. Where did my payment go? An “investigation” is supposedly being done. It’s a mess In the billing dept & all over.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We took my father to the Wycoff emergency room and they were were negligent, unaware and inattentive. My father was having a stroke and there was no communication from the nurses to our family. In the 3 days that we stayed in the emergency room we did not know who the doctor was that was taking care of my father. We came to see and find out who the doctor was when we wanted him to get discharged and take him to another hospital. The whole time we were there we didn’t even know that he was having a stroke and because we were being aware and attentive of my father and what the nurses and doctors are doing they had the audacity to put in his record that him and his family were being aggressive which was not true. Imagine you take one of ur family members to the emergency room and you don’t even know that they are having a stroke. He could have died and we wouldn’t know why or what because they were uncommunicative, uncaring and inattentive. For them to even be attentive of him we had to constantly ask the nurses what’s happening , why , has he been seen by a doctor and why he is feeling this way. I don’t ever recommend for anyone to the emergency room in Wycoff Brooklyn ny. My father has a severe heart diseases they did not do their job to even find that information out . After going to the Lenox hospital in Manhattan he is now getting the proper and necessary care that he needs. The only reason they informed us about his stroke is because my aunt works at Lenox hill and knows the proper rules and laws that hospitals follow and what they can and can’t do. They didn’t even wanna give us the medical records after we wanted to take him and sign the AMA (against medical advice) to transfer him to a different hospital.

If I could I would give you 0, my mother was in the emergency room, they told me they were going to discharge her but I couldn't wait for her in the emergency room, I had to come back later for her, I came back a few hours later and my mother She was not in an emergency. They had sent her to a room. I asked what happened and they told me that I had to talk to the doctors on the 6th floor. When I tried to get to my mother's room, they did not let me go up because it was not visiting time , I said that I need someone to tell me what happened if they told me that they were going to send her home, no one gave me information that I had to wait for the corresponding time to be able to give me information, I told them not to let me see her but at least tell me what happens to him and they just told me wait and wait outside the hospital because he couldn't wait inside

I wouldn’t bother going here unless you’ve been shot or are bleeding out the nurses and doctors could literally care less and literally ignore you and let you suffer. My mother was in the ER for hours went in for extreme pain in the abdomen they took a test found out there was something wrong with her gave her some of that iv medicine and then just left her there for hours saying they want to “commit her to observe her“ which actually meant just leave her in the room the whole night and not check up on her again i know because they have done this to her a different time. This time they left her with not even her own space or curtain to cover her literally had her right in front of the nurses desk with people right on top of her, emt and patients are running by her, patients cursing and coughing on her. They couldn’t even offer her any water or food after she had been already there for 15 hours groaning in pain right in front of them so inconsiderate and disgusting these people should actually feel shameful to call themselves nurses and then treat people so terribly and then when my dad came and was telling the nurses she’s in pain why she wasn’t givin any food or at least a cup of water after so many hours one of these nurses is gonna try to give her a nasty tray of food that’s been sitting there for hours already like really ???? That’s ok to you ?? This is what y’all do to sick patients ?? and then when my dad mentions she’s been in pain gonna come with some medicine after so many hours of just passing her by and not even checking up on her when she’s clearly in a lot of pain. And then it’s a problem when family wants to visit to check up on their family member I hear one of the nurses complaining but you guys aren’t attending to my mother and she’s calling crying so obviously her family’s gonna come and bring her food and a drink and console her like what is wrong with this world that y’all are ok treating people like this like seriously I feel so bad for the people that don’t have any loves ones to bring them some water or some food to eat or speak up for them when they are in pain and suffering after being there for so long we ended up just leaving because my mom couldn’t handle just sitting there in pain for more hours because no one was gonna go home at 8pm and there were plenty more patients waiting for a room so she would of had to most likely wait till the next day when she could just suffer more comfortably at home so now she’s just suffering and still don’t know what’s really the issue that’s going on with her. Thanks wycoff ! Try your best to avoid wycoff hospital cause they suck everytime please do better !
