I went for a check up .. the midwife let me know I have little water sockets my baby was breech so I knew I was getting a c section . The mid wife basically forced me to stay at this hospital instead of the planned c section I had . She stated I had no water sockets so she changed her first statement and made me sign a paper that said I was neglecting my unborn child & stated she will rip it up and throw it away as long as I gave birth here . The women here are very rude very very nasty . Un helpful . And are very thirsty for the money that comes with a c section & have no compassion for there patients

Brought my mother to the Hospital. So I called to find out what the visiting hours are for patients. But the male receptionist at that time was very rude!!!!!! even on the phone. He was just yelling at me on the phone like he’s talking to a child. I don’t think anyone should yell at even a child like that. Not nice at all. Some of the staffs are not helpful at all when it comes to human relationship or customer services.

Currently my mother is hospitalized at North Central Hospital. So far our experience at this hospital is the worse. My family and I ensure that there is 24 hour stay due to negligence of the staff. The nurses are the worst that I have experienced. They ignore patients' calls, are rude and talk negative about their patients. One nurse had the audacity to talk to me about a patient (apparently she is unaware of HIPPA law). I have been in this room since 10 am and I have not seen any nurse take her vital signs (temperature, oxygen level or blood pressure). My mother can to the hospital because of low oxygen level and low blood pressure due to an infection. The patient sharing a room next to my mother had an accident (soiled on herself) and the nurse was livid. She cleaned her and placed the bed pan in the sink which is still sitting there. Talk about cleanliness. However, they are quick to talk at the nurses station, play with their phone, and make traveling arrangement. I do not recommend this hospital to anyone. On a happy note, there is one nurse that is attentive during the week (my wish is that she can stay on my mother's case - my wish was not granted). How ironic they strike for more money, benefits, and low ratio patient care. They need more training on patient care and sensitive to patients, and family members who are dealing with a tragedy and the possibility of losing a loved one.

Ok, I havent been to North Central for many many many years because I remember NCBH from growing up. Truth, they are much much better than I remember. Not crowded this morning the adult ER was empty and my husband received really good treatment and the customer service treatment was excellent. I did hear another woman complaining in the next bed, however she was being really demanding and the doctor got inpatient. He could have been more understand she was there because she was ill, but he did express that he was in the middle of seeing other patients. Whatever.... I would go there again truthfully.

Do NOT get covid tested here. I arrived at 6am for a 7am opening and I didn’t even get into the clinic until 12 NOON! And they let the doctors that need tests to cut in front of you, making your wait even LONGER. You’re better off getting a covid test at a mobile van. Even if you wait 3 hours for a mobile test, it’ll still be better than waiting 6+ hours at North Central.

I went with my daughter. She had to park in their garage which was already full. We had to work and look for for area to go to. The lady at front desk was talking to the security guy. Ignored us completely. The staff was rude. They put me in another room and told me they would get me. My daugther was talking to the doctor. Not sure why i could not come in whe my daughter asked me to come. While in the room, i saw a roach. This freaked md out. Hospital did not smell clean to me. Stay away!

The clinic didn't send my prescription to said pharmacy so I had to come back and sit in the waiting room as if I'm about to be seen again for a prescription that "they" didn't send to my pharmacy. What is the long wait for? I could understand if his was on me then of course I gotta wait, but this is ridiculous

Nurses doctors in there (not all) should really not work there. Bedside manner in not on their vocabulary. One doctor Threatens me with ACS for medical neglect only because I wanted to be at a different hospital. I don't see how when my child went through all of his treatments. Long story short had police called on me because a doctor wanted to pretty much call me dumb and things went downhill after that lol

This is the worsts place, Please never go there. The staff are rude with patients. They never send me my COVID test result and I lost my flight because of that. My sister got vaccinated there are they never gave her the 100 dollars they were supposed to give. Instead they told her she need to wait 1 year to receive the money, I know that sound insane but it’s true.

Average run of the mill hospital, from the outside, its pretty clean that this place needs a major infrastructure upgrade and face-lift. The best thing about this hospital is Jashan Reet, MD. Dr. Reet is an extraordinary caring doctor, very personable, and clearly explains everything.

Literally the worst experience of my life. My epidural didn't take and the anesthesiologist blame me and decided to yell at me while my daughter's head was out. Thank you for the nurse that removed her. I wouldn't go here if I was dying and it was the only place in sight

Worst place EVER. Staff are so rude and do not know how to be nice. When walking in they don’t even greet you when you greet them. They are so insensitive and have no common sense when it comes to things. I would never come back here. The ladies at the “Admitting” are the rudest and entitled as ever with rude comments. If I could give a zero I would.

Let’s start by saying if I could give them 0 star, I would. Top 5 worst hospitals in NYC (the Brookdale & Jamaica hospital of the Bronx). If you can go anywhere else please do!! Absolutely disgusting bedside manner, nurses are grumpy, rude, racist and some of the most unqualified and ignorant people I’ve ever met. Lost my mom due to their initial negligence and lack of competence. Staff are clearly overworked but take out their frustration on poor, sickly, vulnerable immigrants. Unnecessary amount of police presence which is honestly pathetic; these resources should be used to hire better nurses and other personnel. Nurses get angry when you ask them about updates and details about your own diagnosis while they watch cooking tutorials and chitchat loudly in the ears of patients. This place is the epitome of everything horrendous in the healthcare system of this country. AVOID THIS PLACE!!

My GYN doctor referred me to this hospital. I am having second thoughts the nurses aide are rude as hell. The floors are not clean the walls are dirty and I’m actually scared to have surgery here. Everybody has an attitude and the crazy part is I work for Montefiore that type of behavior is not even tolerable. You get fired and written up on the spot. The hospital looks like it’s from a horror film. I’m just feeling very uncomfortable.

This is my second time at the hospital and I have not been seen my a provider yet. When appointments are made that is the doctor time hence why offices say come 15 minutes before because that time is for vitals. The women’s health department needs to seriously learn how to communicate !! I came to do a procedure yet I’m told it’s for blood work???? That’s not what I was told, why am I taking time off of work for nonsense? I’m never coming to north central ever again. I could be dying and I’d rather die than to be a patient at this hospital.

Great hospitality and attention and great food 😌, I just came out the hospital yesterday the 17th, was there for a week since the 10th, on the 9th floor I believe room 9B-R8, had diabetes n high blood pressure and I was taken care off very well. But Damm the food was good lol I keep thinking about it, that jerk chiken and turkey burger was everything and all the nurses were nice, except a guy nurse who was rushing me he said I was being released and it was late already and snowing. But it's OK. The nurse that was taking care of me said nope you not going anywhere go rest, she fixed him for me lol 😂 I wish I remember her name ❤️

Used to work in the outpatient pediatric clinic and as the only social worker seeing patients and their families on a walk-in basis, this place was grossly disorganized with inadequate office space and management that wasn't even located on the same floor. Hopefully they get their act together for the good of their patients.

The emergency intake nurses were NOT polite, they didn't greet me or tell me what I was signing for. It was like being assisted in a warehouse not a hospital. The specialist was great; she was kind and overall was wonderful!!

Today was my first time coming to this NYC health+ hospitals location in the bronx. I had an appointment in the women’s health department/ gynecology and the staff was very friendly , caring and helpful. The nurse that took my vitals and the nurse practitioner were excellent at their job. Thank you for the excellent care I have received.

Be very wary of the social workers here, Kiara specifically. Very young, very lazy, does the absolute bare minimum... does not care about your family or do anything to provide any actual help. She's rude, unhelpful, and has an attitude problem. If you care about your loved ones and have a choice, do not send them here if you'll be requiring any assistance from a social worker there. Hopefully Kiara never has a loved one get stuck with a social worker like her, because no one deserves that... not even someone as harmfully negligent as her.

Do not, I repeat, do NOT, ever, EVER go to the emergency unit here with a sprain / fracture / broken bone. I was here in April with a fractured ankle, which they misread the X-ray of and told me I was fine to go back to work and would heal in 6-8 weeks. It's now been almost 6 months. I've become bankrupt and completely lost all sense of quality in my life as I am physically unable to work or do literally anything. As the X-ray was misread, I wasn't put in a cast and was only given crutches for my pain. The doctor even forced me to walk on it at the time, which I did not feel comfortable with or capable of but was forced to do so for a short distance regardless. It was only when I returned a month later that someone was able to read a repeat X-ray correctly and put me in a cast. This was too late, however, and I feel as though I have permanent damage. I used to be an extremely active person who was always outdoors. I am only 24 and was 23 at the time. I have spent the entire summer inside my house, losing money, and there is literally no end in sight. I am in an obscene amount of pain from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep. Going here literally destroyed my life. If you are injured and considering going here in a hurry, I truly hope you read this beforehand and can save yourself.

Hi, I’m redoing my review. I just gave birth 3/25 and had a c section. The midwives, nurses and other staffs had me feel so comfortable. I’m happy I chose this hospital for my child birth. The c section process was amazing. I didn’t feel a thing N the staff are very welcoming and helpful.

Fair warning: DO NOT ENTER THIS HOSPITAL!!!! The workers here are trash and is in dire need of professional training. They overlap certain tasks to either draw blood or provide you with certain things. The lack of communication is horrendous where nobody knows what to do with you where you have to BEG PEOPLE to do a task that they’re supposed to do. If you’re looking to get better treatment, this hospital is not it.

Was transferred from Jacobi hospital to Central Hospital in the Bronx. 10% of the hospital staff is rude and disrespectful. I had to place signs in the room concerning what I need to be done with my mother health and both the RN's and Doctors go to deaf ears. The Hospital don't even have hot water

This hospital gave us the most terrible experience of our life, my wife had miscarriage because of the neglect and carelessness of the medical staff. This hospital gave us unforgettable pain while charging and making us to pay for their own fault, I feel terrible even crossing the road when I remember this hospital.

So far so good at NCB. My midwife has been great and so are most of the staff I have encountered. Reviews were a bit questionable but decided to try and if I didn’t like it I would switch. Have been receiving prenatal care here since December and no complaints. They always call to remind me of appointments as well as refer me to the necessary services to ensure a smooth and healthy pregnancy. I’m happy with the care I’m receiving here thus far. Thank you to all the wonderful sonographers also. They made my anatomy scan an unforgettable one. All laughs and jokes. Thank you to the wonderful staff at NCB 🙏🏽

My experience was horrible. Ms. Gaitree Rusaul, Blood Lab Supervisor displayed bad customer service etiquette, Pure unprofessionalism and an extremely poor attitude. When i reported my complaint to Ms. Gaitree Rusaul supervisor Mr. Aman, he was just as unprofessional too. If you don't like or are unhappy with your job, Quit.

I always get Covid 19 tested at NCBH. Friday, 12/31, I waited on line to have the doors slammed in my face. Today 01/02, I waited 4 hours on line but i was tested. You just simply have to wait but if I may, with all due respect, seeing the most handsomest Officer Smith made all the discomfort of standing for 4 hours go away. Officer Smith, I hope this doesn't offend you but OMG you took my breath away. ❤️ Hey, despite discomfort and waiting, the eye candy of Officer Smith really made it worth waiting and of course to be safe and know my COVID 19 status. If this offends anyone, sorry but i feel how I feel. Be safe and Happy New Year. You have to find the good in everything.

I visited the cafeteria and I was disappointed with the way you had to get your food.. tables but no service (waiter).it's like a takeout, then you sit and eat from take out containers. I miss the old ways of service (someone taking your orders and setting it on the table.)

The hospital and visit were ok for a hospital no real complaint there. However, I received my vaccines in June and I am having trouble signing up for the Excelsior pass. I keep getting an error that my information does not match and that the hospital might have submitted it incorrectly, and to contact them. Well guess what, I keep contacting these guys and they are all lost. Like how do you not know what excelsior pass is. I still have not received any help as none of them know what is going on. I will be contacting the state for help.

I have been trying to reach the doctor for the longest. I called so many times and they would hang up the phone and I tried to go in person. I was explaining my situation to them but they wouldn’t really trying to help me out. I gave the lady in the front desk my phone number for the doctor to call me ‎back but I didn’t get anything.

As a medical professional I must say this is the worst hospital.. We were visiting the Bronx and I notice my dad not looking well, took him to ER and his Bp was way high 175/ 149. They had him wait sometime until they finally saw him. His hemoglobin was at 19 so they kept him, visiting hours are only 10 am to 12 pm and then again 430 to 630 pm. 4 hours a day total. Thanksgiving day you would think they would be more Lenient with the hours but no they were not. They have 1st year Residents watching the patients and then when you ask to speak with the attending MD, they can not located them. They hire contract nurses that appear not to have knowledge of the patients when you ask information, 1 Rn per 9 patients. On weekend main entrance I’s closed and you have to enter through emergency room. Elder individuals visiting loved ones have to walk a distance, I asked to transfer my dad to a westchester hospital the nurse on duty said oh well so transfer to a better hospital , the lack of compassion these clinicians show is horrible, my dad had to wait 2 hours attached to a dry Intravenous line Until I asked for them to remove it. The nurse who removed it did not even flush it afterwards, Nurses walk around with the mask on there chin but Yells at people if they do I have it on if you ask me that is a contradiction. I can assure you there’s plenty of videos and photos that will be presented. Now I understand why do they do not want videos or cameras in the unit they have a lot to hide. Go to montefiore or Albert Einstein hospital instead, my dad has Mobility issues and it is hard for him to eat. They refused to provide assistance and when I asked if I could stay late they denied it, other hospital do not have These ridiculous hours, Please note it is reported they are affiliated with Jacobi hospitalBut they do not follow Jacoby hospital hours or compassion, This hospital needs to be shut down if anyone else has had this problem please contact the state / city Medicare / Medicaid. So it can be investigated, it It’s horrifying that patient’s care is not met appropriately. Today is the 27 of November and the date in my dads room says November 23 and none of those individuals are working today .

I had all my prenatal visits at NCBH. Denise Wharton was my midwife. She was very caring, friendly, knowledgeable and made me very comfortable with each appointment. She treated me like a family. You can tell she loves her job. I also had an amazing team during my delivery and I just can't thank them enough. Midwife (Alissia Falconer) was an absolute gem. She was loving, caring, attentive and an excellent midwife. She went above and beyond to ensure my baby and I were safe. She watched the monitors and kept running to my room to check up on me. She constantly reassured me when I became worried about my baby and communicated with me throughout. She wasted no time to call the doctor when anything was concerning. Nurse (Shamile Foote) was truly what nursing stands for. I cannot forget her warm smiles and willingness to do anything to ensure my comfort. She was also very proactive. Prepared the room and got everything in order for the delivery. She also cleaned me up nicely there after. Medical student (Diane) was a huge help during the most painful/difficult time. She was very soft spoken, respectful and with a great personality. Constantly checked on me and offered water and fan to help me. She offered her shoulder to cry and hands to squeeze when the pain was unbearable. She held my hands and motivated me throughout the whole process. She will be an amazing doctor in the future. She had a human touch which is rare these days. Doctor Margaret Seybolt was also great. Very experienced and did what needed to be done and quickly to deliver my baby safely. Nurse anesthetist (Chang) did a great job with the epidural. Talked me through it and calmed me. Thank you all and God richly bless you.

I came to NCB for all my prenatal appointments and labor and delivery. It was honestly such a pleasant experience, midwife Malone and Kennedy were so amazing throughout my entire pregnancy. Always answered all my questions and concerns! I had an induction and it didn’t last more than 12 hours ! It was fast, I’m grateful for midwife Denise Wharton she was so amazing. I couldn’t ask for a better person to deliver my baby, she truly loves her job ! She’s very sweet, patient, she goes over everything she’s going to do and she’s also very knowledgeable! I was definitely scared but Denise made everything so much more easier ❤️ postpartum was alright, the only complaint I have is that I wish they would’ve helped me a little bit more with breastfeeding. But other then that I have no complaints

Terrible staff. My nurse was rude. The guy at the front desk in 3D today, he wore glasses and he worked around 1pm. He was completely rude and he was belittling me and complaining to me about have two different hospitals on my record. NCBH doesn’t have a good GI specialist so the doctor from this hospital REFERRED me to Montifere which is a far better hospital than this trash here. This guy didn’t do his job and wouldn’t let me leave when I said it was fine. Then on the same day I have another appointment at women’s health and they tell me I don’t have an appointment today when I came in person and rescheduled. I rescheduled with the same front desk lady that told me I didn’t have an appointment today. She was also very rude. I’m taking my health somewhere else and making sure to tell friends and family too. This hospital is terrible and the staff don’t at all care about the patients

I don't recommend this hospital, the black nurses are rude, some don't care how the patient feel, on on December 8 my son had black nurse that wasn't at her desk for a long period of time without telling anyone and when I ask if she can give me wipes for my son she refused, when I ask for help because my son was choking and I ask for her to give some medicine for my son pain she was angry since she can"only do one thing at a time" another reason why I don't recommend this hospital is because they're dates for appointments were all mixed up,they got angry that we said to put the date that the doctor told us since it wasn't in the computer.the emergency button for patients didn't work and when my son ask for help when visiting time was over, no nurse came.Note that my son has just come out of surgery. the food was hard for my son, it looked like they just cooked it again.there was so much yelling by other people also getting angry that the nurses wasn't doing their job. The TV button didn't work either, they said they were gonna bring a technician but the technician never came.the black nurse said that there were only allowed two people even if my daughter is a minor. They let my son be able to leave the hospital in the fourth day out of surgery even he said that he still feels pain all because he is young and that since he is young in three days he should be all good. I tried to ask help from another nurse when the nurse was no where to be found and she got disturbed that I ask for her help. Theyvalso didn't clean the side my son was. I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone because there is so many nurses that don't care about your health.

Bad care, I was in the Emergency Room for 3 hours waiting for a doctor to see me and the nurse who gave me all the information had a bad attitude.
