The Kravitz Children/mount Sinai have some, racist administrative staff members. For example, my son's room was switched from a double bed room to accommodate a Caucasian child and two of the child's family members. Then Toni Kavanagh. Peered my son with a black mother with an autistic child, that she could not control. The boy kept trying to go in my bag during admitting and take my childs food. That happened during our 3 hour wait to be placed in a room. Then i find out something was up once the receptionist asked about a T5 bed, it wasn't on the list. My son doesn't have any learning/Autistic disabilities. Toni decided to peer my son and I with them, because we resided in Far Rockaway and are black females, but we don't know each other I was trying to be nice about it without hurting the mothers feeling. But the ghetto words coming out of the patient mothers mouth was too much. Then her response of not a simple No but "Nope" The child was out of control Jumping around screaming. Then Toni comes out and tell me using hand fist gestures that there are no more room and none with window either. Me and the staff turned around and looked at the room my son was suppose to be in at the same time. There was an open space that they chose not to put a bed in near the door. How do you change a double room to a single room? And no, the child in the room that my son originally had was not under quarantine or anything. Remember my child was listed under that room before hand. I would not have cared about the window just some peace and quiet. Now not only did Toni and say that there were no more rooms we can be put into. I ask her if she could call my car service. She told me to call them on my cellular phone and she will speak with them. And walked down the hallway with my property (Cellular Phone). Then walked back and said let me get you off this floor and grabbed one of my black traveling cases and took it down to the first admitting room. Just brushing me off, Toni knows that she did wrong and tried to brush me off. Then she makes a weak comment to me about rescheduling to come back to the hospital. I told her I would have to speak with Dr. Wolf first. Basicly she wanted the child placed in my son's room to have a private quiet environment and throw me in the room with please "excuse my expression" with the ghetto mother and the child she can't control. My son and I would be sleep deprived going through multiple seizures due to all the screaming and the child trying to steal from me. Right until this very hour I still believe his mother put him up to going in my bags. I have worked with many disabled children and adults. I have never experienced mess like that a day in my life. They were probably familiar with that particular mother and child. Don't set me up. They should have put them in a single room. But of course the Toni and some of the epilepsy section have their favorites. Mind you, on our trip home my child has a seizure in the cab. That is too much!!!!!! I don't believe patients should be paired due to their race or place of residence. I feel Toni's' abuse of authority weighed in because of the change of rooms. That whole thing was disgusting and I would not recommend a stay in that hospital if you don't meet their residential or skin requirements. Now Dr. Wolf is awesome but Toni's behaviour was horrible and I would not "wish" what she did to us on anyone. HORRIBLE!!!!

My two children were delivered in this hospital. Not the fanciest hospital but at least the staffs are nice. Some of my complaints are rooms not clean, both deliveries we encountered epidural issue due to human error, and loud noises in the hallway.

I brought my autistic daughter here because she was extremely under the weather. They has us waiting a while for someone to see/ acknowledge us. The woman behind the desk at the nurses station told me that my daughter (sick and all) had to wait because she wasn’t an “emergency “. They made me feel extremely small and unimportant. The one black nurse here had the worst attitude ever. I guess you have to be white to get proper service. I traveled far to come here because they said it was the best but I guess they’re the best to certain people. I’ve never felt so ignored in my life.

I cannot thank this hospital enough for how thorough they were in pinpointing my 4month old's infection. On top of that the care she received was amazing from all of the staff, special shout out to Jay, Sarah, D, Amanda and Samantha who were her caring nurses. As a parent I also received the mental care and stability I needed whist we were moving through the process of eliminting any serious illnesses. Thank you again to all of the Doctors who worked on Evelyn's condition.

If your child is in emergency or ICU and the nurse is Abby. Request for the nurse change right away or take your kid to a different hospital. My kid got traumatized because of that rude and unprofessional nurse. I’m still giving three stars just because all the other staff and doctors at this hospital are great and professional. Remember the name Abby. Keep her away from your kid. I’ve a lot to say but I will stop here.

Never do housekeeping here or work here. It’s like high school and a lady by the name Anna which is the manager of housekeeping. She would use the hell out of me.They will have you stay overtime and expect you to come the next morning and don’t wanna pay you. And make up a story in order to get you fired. But she said she couldn’t tell me why I was being fired.? I was there for four months and Anna kept pushing my probation back. I repeat stay as far away from here …don’t ever work here it’s the worst place I’ve ever worked at.

We unfortunately had to take our 10 week old daughter to the ER and were admitted to the 5th floor. Every single person involved in our daughters care was so empathetic, kind and knowledgeable. We felt extremely lucky to be with such an amazing team during a very scary moment. Kudos to the pediatrics department at Mt Sinai and especially to Dr Stephanie R and nurses Elianna, Chris and Rena. They are the best.

What a bad experience I have had in this hospital. They see that my child is crying a lot and it takes longer, after a while they give me the stretcher the doctor arrives, looks at him quickly, they don't give him any medicine and that everything is fine. Then I fill out the usual paperwork and wait after almost 2h 30min, they discharge me and I'm going to ask, already angry, I'm pregnant and the child without medicine. To top it off, they tell me if it's still bad to take him to the pediatrician. I told them, I better have taken him there a while ago. The worst thing was that there weren't many patients and it was the same for other mothers. What a disappointing hospital. The only thing they know how to do is charge the insurance and more when you work.

I called more than 20 times , I left voice message, I filled up online from for appointment. I unable to contact with them. They never replied. Unfortunately I’m unable to get appointment. So far their customer service is worse than I expected. I hate to call them back.

Overall great experience with a beautiful , new space, competent doctors /nurses and a very engaged ancillary staff. However , the waiting times in the ED to get care delivered is painfully slow - even when it is empty. This is somewhat systemic with Sinai TBH- there is always a reflexive perception by the nurses that “it’s really busy” even when it simply Isn’t . Im not anti-labor , but seeing droves of staff talking /socializing loudly for hours at a time must drive admin crazy. The only way to get care in this ED is to advocate for it …and then you will get it…but that’s sad. I’ve dealt with the Kravitz Pediatric ED three times (all in the middle of the night when it was literally empty) and have had identical experiences - excellent medical care delivered by exceptionally slow ED nurses. The care upstairs on the fifth floor was much much more expedient . The residents, doctors, nurses, SW, and aides were all prompt, kind and attentive. There was an error made with medication reconciliation that was preventable but other than that it was a great hospital stay . Shout out the impressive Drs Reid, Bautista , Garcia and Zinns as well as the Child Life Team!

I will forever be grateful to the staff at picu and nicu... especially Michael from Picu and Gaddy from Nicu. They both had a special way of treating our son that we knew with out a doubt he was in good hands. Thank you! thank you so much for taking such good care of our baby boy❤️

I will never forget the trauma I experienced here. Although, my doctor and his team successfully repaired my daughter's spine, some of the staff and nurses here are bad.

On the third floor of this building for the respitory department night shift Lindsey was the worst to deal with. She all smiles and provides half a## service. If your hot but she cold then it's cold. She puts al the machine on wrong. It's like she a nurse in training. Then there George. He a man that will make a promise and not get back to you. There were some excellent staff there and some terrible. I was told to share a ten dollar voucher with the pregnant women I was with

Was here for almost 2 weeks with my daughter in the PICU, staff and care was amazing. They took care of my needs, not just the patient's. Dr called ahead and we went right through the emergency room. Dr Love was extremely attentive, would definitely recommend him and his team.
