I was a nurse sent here to work during the pandemic in April 2020. I have been a nurse for 11 years and have worked numerous places. This is by far the worst place I have ever worked. It’s to the point I find it hard to even compare to other hospitals I have worked for. To start the staff DOES NOT CARE. They are underpaid and they are there solely to gain pension. The administration doesn’t care about the employees hence the reason they can’t keep staff and have to use agency staff. Call lights are never answered and the staff disappears frequently. I even have pictures of an RT sleeping at the nurses station. DO NOT bring your family here. DO NOT work here. Sure the place is “new looking” but we have a saying in the south and it goes “you can put lipstick on a pig”. The mental anguish I have from working here hopefully will go away at some point. The only thing I can think that would save this place would be to fire every single person that works there. Start new. I feel for the patients there - not only are they not cared for they are completely neglected. I cringe even typing this about the thought of walking through those halls.

Rooms were clean. Some staff was helpful and some check-in staff in the lobby definitely had attitudes when asking questions as a first time visitor. Overall clean bathrooms and facility 4/5.

The second day my father was there he almost died from suffocation. Prior to that he told the doctor he was having trouble breathing and he was simply ignored. If he wasn’t able to FaceTime me he would’ve died. The next day he was laying in his feces for 2 hours and no one responded. Reaching someone is impossible, no one ever picks up the phone. My father being a Covid survivor and to come this far to be left in hands you can’t trust breaks my heart. I wanted to write this review while he was still at the facility for if anything happens to my father lawyers will help with justice to be served for every patient that was unable to have a voice. Please do not put your family at this facility.

Big pain in the neck to get in. Needed covid test and ID took a very long time. I was there from 6-9 PM, I saw 4 nurses in the whole hospital! It's very nice, has tons of nurses stations, but no nurses. I witnessed countless times alarms going off, and nobody is around to attend the patient. And this is after covid, there is not such a big shortage of nurses.

This place does not even deserve 1 star. The staff is rude visitors are treated like they are visiting a prison. Phones never answered your loved ones are abused and neglected. This place needs to be shut down. Just because it looks great outside and inside does not mean your loved ones are being cared for properly. Nurses, caseworkers, dietitians all of them very neglectful.

Our second visit and we had her sister to visit, who speaks no English and limited following directions. Due to no interpretater and was unable to escort her to the elevator she walked alone. I noticed she was confused,so the security guard ask a visitor to direct my Aunt to the elevator. I feel this created anxiety for my Aunt and their should be exceptions for people like her. I could have escort her to the elevator and return to the lobby. As a Social Worker People with limitations should be granted extra support. I have a my excelsior COVID ID and had problems because I took the Johnson and Johnson, I still needed to provide proof. How can we deal with this ongoing situation. Thank you Greg

I have a family member there who is having the same issue many of us are writing about. The staff does not car. Starting with ,when you first walk in. They can't get the visiting hours correct. My family member was choking. Unable to breath because the tube was dirty. ,they leaving them dirty, why hasn't the heath department take away the license to operate that place or have the federal government take over the operation

This facility is the most unprofessional place I've ever seen and I work in Healthcare the social worker and doctors do not communicate well at all!!! Takes about 10 plus calls to get an answer back from days of calling they only want people here so they can bill higher codes to Medicaid and Medicare I've just started talking to news stations this place needs to be shut down!!!

THIS HOSPITAL DOES NOT DESERVE EVEN ONE STAR, DON'T LET THEM SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE, THE PATIENTS GET WORSE AND THE HYGIENE IS TERRIBLE, THERE IS ALMOST NO STAFF, THEY SHOULD CLOSE IT. IT IS AWFUL! 💔

The fact that I , yes me. HAVE to tell these people to do their job is exhausting. My dad is in this hospital he could not speak because of the condition he is in right now. It’s not acceptable that I have to work at my job and on my spare time work here, WITHOUT GETTING PAID! , hire me.

Be careful what you say about Henry J Carter or your will put on the "ban list" I should have wrote this review when my mother first went into the so specialty care hospital but I wanted to give them a chance. Out of all the other facilities Henry J. Carter was the most clean and up to date facility. To begin with until I started to complain was I told about Compassionate Visit. Until I complained was my mother plan of care discussed with me, until I complained was my mother allowed to get out of the bed during the day and not lay in the bed all day to wither away. These places are suppose to be in the business of care. Now my mother has fallen and the hospital requested her to return to Henry J. Carter but Joy, the social worker told the hospital that because of my complaints they would not allow my mother to return. These places are not in the business of taking care of the elderly. These places would prefer family members just to leave their mothers, daughters, sons and relatives alone so that the caretakers can do nothing but give out medicine. I am appalled that a facility can refuse a patient because a family member complaint that the facility was not doing there job.

The staff appears to be attentive when visitors are there, consistently coming in and out the room. Our family member is unconscious. We spoke with another patient in the facility, asking does the staff come in and out when visitors are not around, she responded, no. That patient stated she has to wait long periods of time for staff to care for her or even clean her.

My mom is still admitted in the LTach facility part of the building not the nursing home. When I tell you this place deserves a zero not even a 1 star. My mom is terminally ill. She’s able to talk. They don’t answer the phone at the nurses station. She presses the button for the nurse of Pca to come to her they come 1/2 hour later. The food is horrible. They don’t have a menu where the patient can pick from. The staff that I have come across have been rude and nasty. Even hospital police have attitude. You have to wait on a line outside in the heat to get inside. I REPEAT DON’T PUT your love one in this facility.

My uncle was there for a month and a half he was doing good in the hospital until he was moved to this place I called weeks in and out with not one answering the phone and when I got a hold of someone there didn't have any information for me and his wife my uncle Complain to me of being mistreated was stuck in the bed all day not moved at all he was very depressed. Because of the lack of work. My uncle has now passed away I will forever hold the nursing home responsible for my uncle's death
