I use to like this hospital but what I experienced I won’t be coming EVER AGAIN . I came in with chest pain and lady did a test and she never told me how I was then she sent me in the waiting room and I had excruciating chest pain , back pain and stomach pain mine you I had already throwed up ! I was in the waiting room for 4-5 hours .nobody called my name like 6 different people left the hospital because they could no longer wait ,the waiting room was EMPTY and I was still waiting and now I was getting a headache. It literally took them 6 hours for them to call my name and finally start caring , HORRIBLE SERVICE. YOU HAVE TO BE BLEEDING OUT OR LOOK LIKE SOMETHING BAD HAPPEN TO YOU FOR THEM TO CARE . NEVER AGAIN

This is photo of their emergency room with emergency patient laying on the floor because they refused to offer her bed. A Covid patient who was in bad condition that ambulance was called. These staff can’t call themselves human. Worst of all I had never seen in worst war zone emergency rooms is what I am seeing in Presbyterian Hospital of Queens, NY. From from today June 12th, 2022. I am outside country and feeling pathetically helpless for my wife laying down on their floor, helplessly! Posting this update as of today Nov. 21st 2022. During above chaotic visit, the nurses justified this mistreatment by calling it an "urgent care" patient. Now they billed us for ER visit. More than an hour on phone and billing dpt., patient care and 2 more depts, all kept circling me around with final take-away for me was that we treated the patient the way we treated and now we billed you. pay it. Would never recommend them for medical help of any kind. Never ever.

I’ve been coming to this hospital for years as well as brought family and friends here in the past. I’ve never had any issues everyone is usually pleasant and helpful. But THIS time I am having the WORSE experience. Been here since Saturday with a family member in ER. No CHAIRS for visitors we are STANDING hours at a time. When I ask for answers a timeline of when we’ll get a bed/room, see a doctor or at least get discharged and they don’t have any answers. Furthermore the nurse on right now is extremely rude, unprofessional and dismissive whenever you try to talk. Rolls his eyes looks away when you’re speaking because he doesn’t want to listen to you. No one cares that we are at our family members bed side standing for hours at a time. The least we can get are professional kind workers. Thank God for Ella she was so nice I watched her randomly help anyone that was looking for help or asked her for help. There was a spill that everyone walked by for an hour once she noticed it she placed a towel on wet spot. Patient, not hers, needed water she got someone to bring them water after patient was asking for 20 mins. We know the ER is rough busy and understaffed but a smile, being pleasant and understanding goes a long way. Thank you Ella for your kindness 🙏🏾💜.

I've been here several times throughout the last decade as well as my family for emergency room treatments, surgeries, and having a baby. ER visits have been great albeit there is a long wait but this is to be expected in any NYC ER. When going to this ER, set aside at a minimum 12 hours - 7 hours for waiting doing absolutely nothing & another few hours waiting for labs, diagnostics, & imaging to come back. In this time frame, you may see a doctor twice for a few mins. The best time to do this is overnight on a weekday when it's less busy. Surgery here went great for both myself and my wife for two different procedures. Delivering a baby here is not advised at all. The bed broke during delivery because the doctor who came in sat at the edge of the bed. The epidural failed three times while the residents watched in horror at the failed attempts & the anesthesiologist had to call his superior to properly administer. After birth, the head nurse at the maternity ward decided it was appropriate to spray benzocaine spray all over the room three times while our newborn was in the room in order to demonstrate to my wife how to apply the spray on herself despite our newborn already having both blood and heart issues. Please train staff to NOT do this, we understand how spray buttons work. Thankfully she is fine now but does have issues breathing and one can't help but wonder if this is related to the hospital visit. Additionally, surgeons are constantly smoking outside of the room windows for newborns & mothers coming out of labor, right next to the "NO SMOKING" signs. I understand being a surgeon is a difficult job but the no smoking rules should be strictly enforced near the hospital, especially outside the windows where newborns are sleeping. The no smoking rules are currently only enforced outside the entrances to the ER by security. Seems like a lawsuit as well as several violations waiting to happen here and I would strongly advise finding somewhere else to deliver your baby. EDIT: After posting my review and a year later once my baby turned one year old, NYHQ has (what I believe) retaliated by billing us nearly 24 thousand dollars out of nowhere.

I think as a certified nurse there should be NO REASON WHY YOU WOULD DROP THE NEEDLE AND IT BEING OPEN AND INSTALL IT ON A PATIENT, I JUST WITNESS THAT. And AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURE SHE PUT ALL OF MY WIFE NEEDLE AND IVY ON TOP OF THE DIRTY LINENS TO SERVE HER. NASTY NASTY NASTY HOSPITAL SHOULD HIRE CLEAN PPL TO SERVE THE PUBLIC. AS YOU CAN SEE SHE LEFT THE ROOM AND LEFT TGE BLOOD SAMPLE. ABOUT TWO HOURS WAITING I ASK THE NASTY LADY WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR AND SHE SAID GUVE ME A SECOND AND THAT SECOND WAS ABOUT 45 MORE MINS. THIS IS LABOR AND DELIVERY! HOW CAN YOU HAVE SUCH GARBAGE WORKING.

I recently underwent a spinal cord puncture procedure at a medical facility, and I am delighted to share my positive experience. The doctors and medical staff demonstrated exceptional expertise and provided a seamless procedure, ensuring my comfort throughout. I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the radiologist, Dr. Podhaizer, for their invaluable contribution to my procedure. Dr. Podhaizer's expertise in radiology played a crucial role in ensuring the success of the spinal cord puncture. Their ability to accurately guide the procedure using advanced imaging techniques was impressive. Their attention to detail and commitment to patient comfort were truly remarkable. Additionally, I would like to acknowledge the technologist, Daniel, for their outstanding support and professionalism. Daniel's assistance throughout the procedure was invaluable. Their competence and attentiveness made me feel at ease and ensured a smooth and comfortable experience. Their presence and expertise greatly contributed to the overall success of the procedure. I am pleased to share that I didn't feel any discomfort during the spinal cord puncture. This is a testament to the doctors' skills, as well as the seamless coordination between the radiologist, Dr. Podhyzer, and the technologist, Daniel. Their collective efforts and commitment to patient well-being resulted in a painless and stress-free procedure. I highly recommend this medical facility and the exceptional professionals who work there. The doctors, including the skilled radiologist Dr. Podhaizer, and the technologist Daniel, provided top-notch care throughout the spinal cord puncture procedure. Their expertise, compassion, and dedication to patient comfort were evident at every step.

The worst ER service experience I had. My son had fever of 105 and started waiting for doctor at 12:45am. It was not busy inside the waiting area. After waiting for almost 5 hours, his fever reduced back to 99 so we wanted to leave because obviously, the doctor treated my child's case a mild case, no bed, no nurse checked with him and see other patients came after us. My son vital is normal, so I requested to be discharged so we could go home and sleep for a couple hours then brought him to see our family doctor. Then the nurse showed me attitude and asked me "Mom, how do you know he didn't have fever" "Then why you brought him here" "Other patients have been waiting for 7 hours". I didn’t understand why the nurses said something like this and thought its acceptable when they had their patients waited for over 7 hours in an uncrowded night. I went to Weill Cornell Medical Center for ER service in a night that had a lot more patients. They were more systematic and efficient so the whole process only took us 3 hours.

This hospital is terrible if it had 0 reviews I would give it 0. It use to be good when I had my daughter in 2017 but not anymore. I went today at the emergency room. I reached at about 8:30am and left at about 5pm. I had to beg the doctor to give me my discharge papers so I can go. They talk laugh and walk around the hospital all day wasting time. On top of that they completely exaggerated my condition and LIED about why I actually came to the hospital misdiagnosing me. If I wasn’t sure of what my issue was I would of been scared by what they wrote. My discharge papers says something totally different than the reason I came after I’ve told 2 nurses 3 doctors and 1 physician assistant the reason more than once. They completely made up their own diagnosis. It was nothing close. I will never go back here again this hospital is terrible.

I can't go with everyone's own opinion and yet they are entitled to give their own. I can only go with my own contact plus experience and that was a very positive one as well. My wife had total knee replacement surgery done here and it was a success. Her Doctor, the staff and security was always a pleasant experience whenever I had contact with them. Sometimes I just can't understand people, put yourself in their shoes, walk and do their stressful job during this pandemic and see how you come out in the end. I'm sure if you talk to someone with respect, you will receive that in return. If someone gives you attitude, then you let them know your not there to make matters worst. Let them know you treat people with respect because it's what you want in return and again I believe you will receive an apology and get respect in return.

I found this experience to the emergency room to be so awful. My 83yr old mother who is immune compromised with cancer had to wait 4 hours. I asked how long would it be for me to be seen. They gave a look like a while. An hour later when it was just my mom and me and a woman who was coughing up a storm. Still nothing. I finally left since it's 4:30 am and decided to take my chance with her primary doctor. I am only giving one star because the angel in the registration desk was the only person who was sympathetic and went to check to see if they could take us in. I wish I could of gotten her name. She was so sweet. Need more people like in the world of medicine instead of robots who don't care.

They have good care. The nurses & doctors are excellent along with the other staff. The food menu is in much needed to be reviewed/revamped "ASAP" & if you're a going to be a patient in the winter, MAKE SURE YOU BRING YOUR OWN BLANKETS. THEY HAVE NO HEAT. I WAS IN THERE FOR (2) WEEKS & (1) WEEK HAD "NO HEAT"!!! I had a procedure done & I was shivering made my chest hurts. That's how cold the place was.

Terrible Hospital!!! My father had a schedule appointment for surgery at 1230. No one is allowed with him inside the surgery. We were calling the hospital from 2pm to 7 pm and no response to give us an update if he's good or not. That's unprofessional. I see all around the hospital signs of 4 star rating. Who gave you that rating? They're not honest about their rating.

My wife and I are thankful for this hospital baby. We are especially grateful for Dr. Na who has delivered two babies for us and is a fantastic doctor. The labor and delivery nursing staff is also outstanding. The cafeteria in the basement is a little-known secret, offering many good food options, especially for breakfast!

What happened to this place?? This hospital was the best hospital when it first opened up. Now I went there for my son and this one nurse pricked him 3 times to get an IV in his arm, mind you he was about 3 months at the time. And she turns around at me telling me this is normal. I don’t know about her but I’m trained in the medical field and it shouldn’t take that many times to get an IV in. Had my sons arms black and blue for about a week. Worst place ever.

Overall my experience was amazing! There was only 1 person who left a bad taste in my mouth, but even after discussing it with the manager, I was assured it would be handled! And I believe the manager! Most of the staff during my day was exceptionally good nurses and staff! No matter what position they held this hospital staff does pretty damn good at picking who they hire! Humanity means everything to me and should be important to the world! Therefore, yes, this hospital took VERY VERY good care of me and I can’t thank you guys enough! They SAVED MY LIFE!!!! Thanks NY Prezzzzzzzz

I have 15 years of experience with a bachelor degree in Human Resources and with a minor in communication.. I have been applying to every open job that i know I am qualified for but I never got hired. So I found out that In order to get a job in this hospital or any other hospitals.. you have to meet the following criteria.. 1. Mommy or daddy working there 2. Aunty or uncle working there 3. or you have to sleep with someone! 4. It’s who you know not what you know So I don’t get the point of having a degree or experience because It’s useless!

Absolutely the BEST hospital ever! The service is great, nurses are knowledgeable and kind and do their job from the heart. Staff are polite. Food is delicious. I deliver both of my babies here and LOVE each minute spend there. Is like going on a vacation kind of experience, not a hospital.

I endured the worst experience at this ER. My mother was in very serious need of medical attention and she was completely neglected. With an open wound on her head, the staff did not even offer her a napkin. We waited for hours with no medical attention, and once someone did approach us, it was a security guard yelling at me that I could not stay with my mother in the waiting room, while she was in really bad condition. I then left and took her to Flushing hospital where she received fast care and the staff were so kind-hearted. I am so so disappointed and I really hope that the staff here learn compassion.

We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Justin L Wang at 6 North. It was truly comforting every time my 81 year-old mother saw him. He explained things every step of the way and when the medical team came to visit, he would act as the interpreter. I remembered he even stayed overtime to secure ERCP time. Dr. Wang has a great personality and is both informative and caring. Thank you, Dr. Wang.

My mother had terminal cancer and was admitted here from rehab in distress. They fought hard to try to save my mother and treat her infection. Technically we were not supposed to be allowed in the room because another ICU patient had covid but they graciously allowed my brother into the room to be with my mother during her final hours. Thank you for understanding and allowing my mother to not die alone. The nurses and doctors who spoke with me over the phone were very compassionate towards us and allowed my brother extra time with my mother .

Disorganized and staff their is extremely unprofessional. Please go to another hospital, they value people in uniform more than regular patients. If you’re not a police officer, you’ll end up waiting for hours for treatement. Many patients were waiting for around 12 hours for treatment, and the security guard wasn’t letting people leave as “visiting hours were ending.” How does this make sense? They’re going to make people stay there and not have the option to get food (btw the vending machines were all broken and patients weren’t even offered snacks, so you basically had to starve yourself for over 12 hours). To make matters worse, a police officer came in and waited 0 minutes to get treated. I don’t mind this, but when you have so many patients waiting for care for hours just for someone in a uniform getting priority, that’s where things don’t sit right with me. A patient voiced his concern and the nurses and security officers tried to move him for vocalizing his opinion. It’s a terrible experience, I ended up going to another hospital and got treated within the hour. I can tell I’ll get an automated response trying to justify what happened, but at this point, the nurses and security guards working on January 3rd, demonstrated a lack of professionalism. This hospital needs better management.

This hospital is amazing. When I had the coronavirus, I first went to the NY Presbyterian in Manhattan, the doctor there was rude saying that I should just assume I have the virus. He also said the tests are for senior citizens and medical personnel. They just did an X-ray and said I have pneumonia. I then went to this NY Presbyterian Hospital in Flushing, and it was quite the opposite! They admitted me in right away, even though their emergency area was packed. I was tested within 30 minutes, they gave me the results later that night saying I tested positive. I don't blame them for keeping my bed at the feet of another patient, since they were packed. They took me to the basement the day after, was kinda creepy.. lol. But then ended up in their designated coronavirus patient area. I was put in a room that had a reclining chair, no bed. And the Doctors, Nurses, everyone their was amazing. Super friendly. They explained every pill, every shot, that they gave me. It was my birthday there too! The nurses gave me a bottle of water, a bag of lays, and a flower with a cute little post-it saying Happy Birthday! They also came and wished me personally. I loved it there, and they cured me so I can get back to my wife and kids! If any of the doctors or nurses that took care of me is reading this Thank You! Love you! You guys are my heroes!

I want to show my photos I have. This is not a clean place. When I first came in a very rude Asian women was asking questions. Then waiting room. Had a good woman there. Long wait time. Some rude nurse's. Very very cold was not offer a blanket. Nurse's just sitting around talking. Sitting in a room. In a chair no beds. The room is shared. No privacy.. what about the virus??? I had a very good doctor. But the rest was bad. Nurse's not knowing what there jobs are. Went to get my 3 medicine. Well I didn't have a 1,83 so they refused to give me my medication. What kind of hospital is this

I was there for a scheduled surgery in December. The faculty and staff were all amazing. Given the COVID restrictions, family members cannot wait with patients. The nurses made sure I was well cared for and went out of their way to give the extra attention. Everything went well and I am recovering nicely.

You can walk in with a gunshot wound and they’ll tell you to wait. Nurse who took my blood completely missed my vein during blood draw and there was heavy bruising for the rest of the week. Vein damage can be serious and permanent and lead to complications. I ended up leaving after they couldn’t help me but I’m sure they’ll remember to charge me. Staff at this hospital is extremely negligent and lacking proper training.

no patient service. one star is too much for the neglect I was under for 6 hours. no one offered socks nor a blanket not even water. one male nurse came asked me two questions and left and never came back. I ended up leaving and having to go to the doctor the next morning. I went to the hospital for pain management and a redressing of a toe injury. I will never again attempt to come here.

Been waiting at the hospital since 10:30pm and it is now 4:19am my mother who came in for severe pain and swelling has still not been seen she was triage and was sent to go wait in the waiting area 6hrs and no Doctor could see her?! What is going on NY Presbyterian?! These wait times are ridiculous what is the point of calling it an emergency room when someone with an emergency is to being seen?! I need answer. *UPDATE* @ 4:42 am we have decided to take my mother to another emergency hospital at 2:32am my wife and mother went to ask them how many more people were in front of her and she was told 6 pts so we decided to wait a bit longer at 4:40 am I decided to go ask again since now it has been over six and a half hrs since we have been in this ER waiting for a doctor. I was told that there is now 16 pts in front of her I asked how come last we came we were told 6 pts I was given no explanations. This hospital does not know what a emergency is don't waste you're time people.

As a medical professional myself, I understand that the medical staff is truly overwhelmed at the moment and completely under-appreciated. I went in today with my sister in law. She is currently pregnant. Once we got into the labor department, we were taken care of with not only a sense of urgency, but with kindness. Nurse Chin and Nurse Kenny were amazing and very kind and professional. Their bedside manner was outstanding. I truly put all my trust in this hospital and its staff. Thank you for all you do. I will never forget it. Also, my father visited this facility with possible DVT. They ran numerous tests. The attending ER doctor even called me to explain everything that was going on. My father is doing so much better now and I cannot thank you enough for taking care of my entire family. I wish you all the best.

I was diagnosed with acute respiratory failure due to COVID. The staff on the eighth floor north wing saved my life. Thank you Dr. Rakhvalchuk, RN Jennifer and all the nurses, nursing assistants, technicians, aides etc… for their deep compassion to humanity. I’m still not out of the loop since the discharge but I am forever appreciative. Words cannot express how I feel.

I was in the hospital from 4am in the morning to 4pm in the afternoon. The staff there was wonderful and work very hard. I was also a difficult patient and they were very patient with me. The ER is inundated with patient that's why the wait is so long. I appreciate Nurse Sabrina, Dr Chow & Parikh help and also Ed Tech Tomas. Thanks for everything and I feel better now.

My father was hospitalized after surgery, but the professionalism of the nurses in the hospital was shockingly poor, I tried to call the nurses, they would cancel the call as if there was no call or the call had to wait more than ten minutes for someone to come, and they were very impatient. My father had a choice of his meals, but they still offered him foods that he didn't choose until I came to help him choose again. All in all, I strongly disrecommend hospitalization here because you will have an unprecedented experience.

Worst Hospital ever. Their nursing staff stinks. Very unhelpful. They Goons in their security who try to intimidate the patients out of the hospital while we as the citizens of this country are trying to voice our opinion. So far we had a very Good experience with Northwell Health where we have our child registered. Ny Presbyterian has the worst communications where it's nearly impossible to speak to a live expert. It was our first and last visit while we have been flushing residents for the last 25 years. WORST HOSPITAL WORST STAFF AND INTIMIDATING SECURITY. OH YES! Women be careful This Hospital in Flushing Queens has a Sexual Predator Doctor. He has been in the News Headlines these days. No wonder this is Going to tarnish their image even more.

My experience in this hospital emergency has always been unpleasant from the treatment to the staff. They are non-understanding and rude. I understand there are many different level of injuries but everyone deserves to be treated with respect, care and importance to what they are feeling. The emergency room in Manhattan represents these hospitals much better.

Words cannot describe how happy I am with this hospital. My mother was hospitalized with COVID in March and they were very helpful. I loved the attention that was given to her. A case manager was assigned in the ER calling family members of patients and follow up. In other hospitals, it was impossible to reach someone to talk to since it was so crazy. NYP Queens was very organized despite the overwhelming times. I highly recommend this hospital.

The emergency room has a terribly long wait since they're so overloaded even before the pandemic. However their non-emergency care is great! They look such good care of my grandma during her last days. Several nurses attended to her care throughout the day. They weren't too good about calling us with updates because they were overloaded with covid patients but we were able to visit often and see that she was indeed well taken care of and ask about her status in person. Thank you so much for taking care of grandma during her last days! I truly appreciate it. It's a difficult job taking care of very elderly.

First time patient to see the podiatrist. MD assistant Dr. Singh reviewed my x-rays and asked a few questions. I inquired about having my BP checked, and he replies that he has my vitals. I mention i don't know how because I went straight to X-ray. He says these records must be old, but we can get that for you. Needless to say.....Nothing was done. This hospital and the staff needs to step up their service. This is Healthcare and yet the employees show no care or standard practices for the patients. Everything was hurried and get it over with.

My Dad was in the hospital for an extended period of time. They have several "family waiting rooms." The staff uses these rooms as break rooms. They sit there eating, playing music, having loud conversations on the phone next to crying, tired, distraught family members. I found this extremely insensitive. Doesn't the staff have their own break rooms? Having a loved one in the hospital is a heartbreaking experience, and family should be granted private spaces to deal with this difficult time.

I don't know why so many people give negative reviews. My English is limited, so when I first came here, I actually felt a little uneasy. My personal experience is that the work attitude and technical level of the staff are equally important. Very satisfying. Makes me feel like spring breeze. Thank you so much to everyone working here.

It’s hard to find the right words to describe the amazing and beautiful experience I had in NY presbyterian Queens. I am a first time mom who delivered in this hospital, my baby girl had to be in the NICU for almost a week. It was the scariest experience in my life but the nurses and physicians assistants were so kind and compassionate. I knew my baby girl was in the best care. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to the Maternity and NICU team. This hospital is the best and I was very blessed to have delivered my precious baby there.

everyone was very nice until you get to the dreaded recovery room where the nurses are understaffed supposedly and very rude. They gave off a nasty attitude after having a nose surgery with anastasia and not once asked me how i felt or was doing after waking up. I was not offered any water and the nurses never asked me if i was in any pain or not. i barely had energy to talk or ask. nurses were ignoring me when i eventually did and when they eventually came they were just ripping wires off me rushingly and came every 10 mins to tell me to breath but my throat was drying up.

Doctors and nurses and overall nice to me, but they were obviously overwhelmed by way too many patients. I had to lay in a crowded emergency room for hours in order to be moved to a room, while a man vomiting and groaning in pain next to me, is pretty horrifying experience. The precautions to prevent coronavirus cross infection among patients seem poor. The bathroom getting dirty really quick without proper cleaning. I'd pray not catching any airborne virus there.

Everyone’s so nice, cute, funny, professional and quick compared to other hospitals in the area. Everyone at the ER front desk VERY FRIENDLY. Susan RN super cool, Michael the nurse super nice, Michael the doctor very nice too. He helped me ease my anxieties and my neuro exam was good. I’m glad I came here for care after the bike accident I had.

The reviews will make you reluctant to come here. I must admit that it is quite a wait for the ER, but when you are being serviced you can tell the staff is really working and they are very busy. I am grateful to have been serviced here. The staff is nice and caring. Would recommend hr to hire more health care professionals for here though.

At some point in time a few years ago, this was probably one of the better hospitals to come to... not anymore. The ER staff are consistently rude (I've had the unfortunate experience of having to bring different family members to the ER on separate occasions) during all visits and really unhelpful. Maybe they are spread thin or just contract nurses... the HR department must have updated their requirements for all new ER employees to be as unhelpful and rude as possible. For example, I was looking for a chair to sit with my relative in the ER and they snapped at me saying I wasn't allowed to have a chair with me. A simple "sorry, having chairs obstructs patient access during emergencies" would suffice. If I ever plan to die and know what my death schedule is beforehand I'll be sure to come here so that the staff can be inconvenienced with my body the same way they've inconvenienced me. No thanks.

I love this hospital. Thankfully I haven’t needed a hospital often but I came here in 2021 with my child, and the staff were so caring and patient. I came here yesterday with stomach pain. The nurse was excellent at taking my blood even though my veins are small and hard to find. The doctor was very compassionate and caring and answered all my questions. Everyone from the transporters and check in ladies to the lab techs and sonogram/ CT specialists were kind and thorough. If I saw one of the transport team or someone from check in later walking around, they remembered me and asked how I was feeling. Very kind and knowledgeable staff.

Everyone must pay attention to this hospital. I went to the emergency department in the middle of the night with a bit of stomach pain and bleeding. I waited in the waiting hall for about three hours before being admitted to the outpatient hall. Later, I was arranged to go to the B-ultrasound. The person who did the B-ultrasound was very unprofessional. He took the cap of the vaginal ultrasound and put it around, and even put it on the tailbone of the buttocks for a long time. In the end, he simply asked himself to find a position with a stick. After working on it for a while, she came to the outpatient hall and went to the bathroom, she had a lot of blood, and even had a miscarriage, and then she was waiting again, and finally the doctor came to greet her and said that she was going to get off work and had to wait for another doctor. After finally waiting, I greeted him a few more times and said that he is not a professional, not an obstetrician and gynecologist. He told me to sign and go home, and wait for two days to see the obstetrician and gynecologist. I couldn’t see professional doctors and nurses in the emergency department, and they didn’t even do any help to me and caused me to have a miscarriage. What’s the use of going to the emergency department? Hey, there are still many problems that I can’t finish. In short, everyone, be careful about this hospital. make fun of your own life. Two doctors ended up asking me if I have kids before and I answered, Yes I have two kids a 14 year old and a 11 year old and they asked if my two kids was alive and healthy meaning that it’s fine if my 3rd child who is in my belly die which he did. It was heartbreaking to my whole family when the 3rd child died and now my health has been worse then before.

This is one of the worst hospitals in nyc. Avoid this hospital. We took my mother here when she was still alive and they kept her for almost 2 weeks. They ran a few tests and found nothing wrong with her. They missed that she had congestive heart failure amoung 3 or 4 other major health issues. They gave her a cardio test and told her and us her heart was fine. It was me who found that she had congestive heart failure when I went over her test results. How is it I a layman can spot it so easily but the doctors “attending” her completely missed it? She also had kidney damage, bladder issues and a host of other things wrong they missed. They basically kept her there for no reason. A month or two later when we took her to NYU Langone Hospital in Manhattan we found out about all the rest of her problems. Go there it’s a great hospital. Over there they actually run tests and look for solutions.

Arrive at HEMERGENCIAS on Tuesday, October 17 at 10:pm. I have had a fever due to a urinary tract infection. I HAVE A TRANSPLANT KIDNEY. It is true that they have been very dedicated. They gave me all the tests and the indicated medications. My problem is: Now it is the following day, October 18, 2023. and I have 19 hours in emergencies, in a very uncomfortable car. My question is, haven't they found a bed for me to be admitted in 19 hours?

Im a regular at NYQPH, and normally, im treated, okay? My last hospital stay however lasted around a week and was overall pretty good except for 2 situations. Upon arrival to the hospital, I was really drowsy and in and out of sleep. At one point, I opened my eyes while being brought into the ER and saw there security guard with her hands in my bag, so i asked her what is she doing and she informs me that she is searching my belongings, i told her Charly that i did not consent to any search, she replied and says that she a guard there and that is her job. I repeated and said that i dont consent again and asked for my bag, and she just rolled her eyes and continued going through my belongings. I asked for her name and she would not tell me so i had to take a photo of her. It's clear that if this is a company policy that they have no respect for privacy and do not follow the law. Secondly, while there for a period of 12 hours while suffering in pain from going through a crisis, i, for a lack of better words, was abandoned by my care team. They did not give me any medicatio s for 12 hours and the reason that they dod this was because i had my pain medications with me put away in my bag and the person in charge told me that i would not be seen until i surrendered my personal medication. They have no right to take my meds as any person with any conditions knows that it is our responsibility to keep our medications with us at all times. This was clear neglect on the hospitals behalf, and when i brought it up, they simply dismissed it. Can you imagine suffering in pain while in a hospital because they want to take away your personal posestion from you. The amount of pain and mental anguish i faced was uncalled for, and they needed to take accountability. I still love the hospital, but I need a good lawyer to start holding these hospitals accountable for their malfeasance.

Last week I had my surgery done by Dr. Foglia. Almost as soon as my wife and I arrived at the hospital, we proceeded to the pre-op ward where we were greeted by a ward nurse Nerida. She is very professional and attentive and conducted all pre-op procedures effectively and in timely manner. Because the doctor was called to treat emergency patient(s), my surgery was delayed, and we spent a few hours waiting. During this time, we were cheered up by Nerida and other warn nurse Young. Then care team anesthesiologist Marina explained to us all the details, and I went to the surgery. I don’t have enough words to thank Dr. Foglia and his team for their professional work. I spent some time in postoperative room under the care of nurse Jennifer who provided us with all necessary guidance. Thank you, NewYork-Presbyterian!

Great care while inside hospital but trying to get names of doctors that were on your case is close to impossible. Names listed on discharge papers could not be found by hospital operators so can't reach them. No list given of who were monitoring your case. Some can be residents or physicians' assistants so are not listed in hosptal directory. Very frustrating!

(Translated by Google) My experience at this hospital was very negative. I came to the emergency room almost giving birth. My husband requested a wheelchair and they said they didn't have it. In the delivery room some of the nurses were very rude. Later, when I was in the room, my daughter was in a separate room because she was undergoing treatment for bilirubin. I had explained to them that the breastfeeding process was very difficult with my first child. A nurse brought me a glass and told me to express my milk because the girl needs to eat knowing what she had told all of them. I asked her for a breast pump and they told me they didn't have to use their hands to express my milk. The truth is that I do not recommend this hospital since my experience was very bad. (Original) Mi experiencia en este hospital fue muy negativa. Llegué a emergencia casi dando a luz.

This hospital was the worst. Litterally the absolute worst experience i have ever had, i arrived at 1am with my fiancé who had a injured foot and ended up being broken. He wasn’t seen till 1 hour later and than i was told it would take about 2-3 hours to be seen by a doctor! And get xrays! This is an emergency room for a reason i can not believe the wait and mind you there were only two other people being seen. Absolutely ridiculous i do not recommend coming here to be seen.

I had symptoms of (possibly) a very serious condition that required a diagnostic test. For 2 days I was made to wait to have it performed, only to get no response from the technician as to when it would happen, until evening when it was cancelled for unstated reasons. I wasn't informed that I'd need to fast for it until they simply didn't serve me breakfast or lunch, so for one day I went without food for almost 24 hours. I'd have been starved another day had I not simply left the place due to their neglect. I still don't know what I had or have, and some symptoms persist. The only things tested for where things I brought up as possible causes. Otherwise, they just storaged me and pumped me with drugs that they had no way of knowing whether or not I needed because they hadn't diagnosed me with anything. They didn't try to figure out what was wrong. 3 doctors from infectious diseases only showed up when I expressed my frustration and threatened legal action. By then I had already agreed to leave "against doctors recommendation", dressed and was ready for discharge. Healthcare in Queens New York is inferior to that of most third world countries. Just pure apathy.

Was hospitalized for 5 days for low blood level and fluids from constant diarrhea, went to the ER and was instantly given the attention I needed, the longest wait was being admitted. Got my iv fluids, blood transfusion, colonoscopy, and MRI to find out I had Crohns disease. the nurses were super helpful and nice, always happy to help me and super cheerful. After i got my colonoscopy I started getting some really good lunches like tuna sandwich, chicken tenders with fries, potatoe chips and good drinks. Nurses always had what I needed be it an extra pair of underwear or socks or some more food. Next time I need to go to the ER I'll definitely come back here.

I don't know who he is, that he was taking up the public space and time to talk about Indian history in the hospital File Room, yet there are people waiting outside the door to get in, there's a sign on the door of the file room only allows 2 person at one time. I was waiting on a bed to open up on the adult side so that I could speak to a Gastro doctor. Which, I Dont know why that was necessary. But while in peds, The whole day i was not being checked on. I had to keep asking for everything. I only seen my doctor at 2pm & not again until 2am the next morning. During the duration of the time, I was getting nonstop meds and no food. There was a PA on duty overnight that was absolutely rude. Writing this while still in here it's the next day, I am still in Peds. Its two in the afternoon and they keep saying soon. Wanted to send my mother the same day they put screws in her ankle. Send her home without without crutches, without walker, without checking if there’s was someone home. Inhumane treatment. Do not leave your loved ones by themselves here. They are short staffed, and they are working hard, but that’s no excuse for the social worker not to do their job. My mother asked the nurse to help her get dressed and she instead threw the clothes in the bed almost on top of her operated foot and walked away.

Amazing doctors but horrible staff. My mother was being cared for one night and told me she had a horrible experience. Staff are extremely disorganized and rude. The staff don’t seem to care for their patients and have a “it’s just a regular day at the job” attitude. It would take about an hour just to get an emergency response or care from the nurses. They are not helpful at all and only care for themselves. I would not recommend this place at all.

The first room they took me for monitoring was a good one but after my delivery they took me in a room where I have to share the ward with another patient. Like seriously?? No privacy?? I stayed there for two days. The nurses was so rude omg 😱 one of the nurse keep shouting on me. If that’s your attitude why did u even choose nursing as your profession? I was so displeased with their behavior. Very bad service. Don’t go.

Nurses and front desk denied me the entrance. I saw a lot of things all these hours about this hospital that are not right!!! I spoke for myself when I saw one family member go with the patient in the emergency room... and I spoke again when I saw these nurse calling two family members together to go see 1 patient inside the emergency room!!!! I was denied the entrance after 8 hours asking for the second time. Horrible experience. And another thing that I saw im not gonna mention race. But it was young lady that came in crying. The front desk was the same light color as her she was provoquen herself to throw up she was mental not really sick. The front desk stop what she was doing and grab her and took her immediately inside the doctors room to be seeing first than the others that have been waiting for 3 hours for the first check with the nurse!!! How can we called these???? Please some y recommend me another hospital in Queens I will not like to come back to thaws hospital! Just get out from the emergency room and came to Main lobby... really upset and disappointed!

I appreciate all of the nurses, doctors and staff who took care of me during my stay at the hospital. I had more pain than I expected following my surgery and I felt like my needs were taken care of. I asked for imaging because I was truly concerned about the severe pain I was in and I felt completely relieved when I learned of my normal CT scan. Thank you to all of the doctors who took me seriously. Thank you to all of the transport and staff, food service, security and cleaning staff. You are all appreciated!

This place is completely unprofessional!! I Went to the emergency room nurses did not want to listen to me as a patient when providing information about my condition AND meds left myself and another patient waiting for a long time for a dentist that never shown and got conflicting stories from two different staff members contact the administrator on duty nobody showed up. Also doctors and nurses and PA were discussing my private information in front of others, based on little information that I was able to provide them, due to the fact they refused to listen to me. Also some doctors been walking around the ER coughing all over the place. Albany is definitely going to hear about this. On top of that, they had the nerve to Bill me and my insurance company for this little visit. I smell fraud.

Podiatry department is top-notch and provided excellent care… Some other parts of the hospital not so much! Be wary if the discharge people try to send you to Fairview, nursing and rehabilitation, which has an absolutely horrible reputation that left me so scared that as a blind person, I opted to go back to my apartment to take care of myself instead of risking, severe neglect, possible abuse, and the worsening of my condition by going there

This is about a January visit to the ER, but I want to expand it to the main unit as they seem to not have made any improvements. I used to always come here when they were called Booth Memorial/New York Hospital Queens but as soon as that name was gone, the quality was gone too. First of all, I told them the complete picture regarding what I was taking as home remedies but it no longer being effective (NyQuil/Robitussin) to describing the conditions, they seem to have interpreted it accurately, but no doctors were talking to each other. There just seem to be a departmental brick wall and when I have finally been seen 5 hours later after waiting in the waiting room, the visit was rapid and the doctors in the Urgent Care area just completely ignored everything on the chart, did tests and such, did an X-Ray, but the end result was they ended up telling me to take the things that were no longer working anymore. What is health care when you can’t even read the stuff I am telling you? Also the billing department told me to call my insurance and process the payment myself, when that is not of protocol as I cannot force my insurance to make a payment when you can’t operate your own department! I never expected this level of decline in quality of care and services! I hope things get back to how they were 20 years ago!

I’ve been coming here for years I delivered my first baby in this hospital 2018 and I had a really good experience, so I chose to give birth to my second child here but it is a huge mistake! Long story short, I had an induction in August 2023, due to baby passing the due date. After delivering I stayed in hospital for three days, and before I was discharged from hospital I complained about pain from my back and stomach area but doctors told me it was normal so they let me go. Then the same day I was discharged from hospital I had a fever over 103 Fahrenheit along with shivering and back pain. I could not go to hospital right away because I didn’t have much help at home for new born and every symptoms that I had was getting worse!! It was a nightmare!! I could not tolerate the pain anymore so I went to ER 5 in the morning. When I got to hospital my heart beats was 155, blood pressure was 168! Along with fever, chill, pain! and still they let me waited 12 hours in the ER ,around 6PM they transferred me to OB department. Doctors told me I got kidney infection from hospital. They didn’t even know why I got infection, they told me maybe because of used catheter when I had induction. I think labor room should be No bacteria !! They gave me three types of antibiotics which destroyed my stomach until today I am still having a lot of pain in my stomach. I was hospitalized for a week because of kidney infection. One and half month has passed but I still have not recovered yet! I am still having stomach pain and have a fever once a week!! I contacted with OB and they still suggested that I go to ER!!This hospital ruined my physical health, mental health! I have two kids that need to be taken care of, but I can’t even take care of myself now!! What a terrible experiences from this hospital!! Even some of the doctors and nurses are so unprofessional with the way how they treat patients.

The doctors and nurses, all the staff is great and very care, but I was admitted and never got a room. I’ve been placed in the ER since 1pm and I am expected to sleep in here with all natural chaos around of a ER. How to sleep? I’m have an asthma exacerbation and a virus that triggered it, so the ideal was being sent to the room that I was admitted for where I’m not going to be exposed to all the contamination from a ER floor. The spaces between beds are less than an arm length. What I mean is, if I move my arm to the side I touch my neighbor bed, extremely close, really not safe. There are patients yelling and 24/7 light on (obviously). How does someone rests, as requested by the doctor, in such inadequate environment. ER is for EMERGENCY! If I’m already diagnosed and being treated, if I was admitted, it is unacceptable the absence of a decent room for the adequate treatment! Also, I’m hungry and thirsty. No food or water the all day! It is 11:36pm and I’ve been here since 1pm. Anyways, once again, the doctors and staff are very care and attentive!

The care and attention from the ER medical worker Chris was amazing. He was patient while he listened to my concerns and made sure I was comfortable. There were 3 other medical workers that worked with Chris that were also amazing. All of them truly cared about my well being and worked tirelessly to attend to me and all the other patients in the ER. I would highly recommend going to this hospital. Thank you Chris and all the other medical staff members for working so hard!

They are terrible!!! My grandma has been needing to use the bathroom and I’ve asked the people in the front to help her 5 times!!! This is my first time here and it’s the worst. They said no visitors when I entered in the ambulance with my grandma and I was sitting with she was on the bed then they told me no visitors. I have been sitting in the waiting room but when I look through the doors I can see people have visitors with them. It was just like how I was with my grandma. But “no visitors” that’s crazy.

The care is super bad, not even a charity hospital should pay more attention to patients. They say on a sign the priority is the patients. What a shame they should remove those cartels. Because of attention and care, I don't think they know what they mean.

At the emergency waiting room wait for three hours, the patient comes later than us, but they get the help first !!!…asked the front desk:just wait for call ...three hours then my wife gets a call and goes to bed inside of the room, thirty minutes later the nurse asks my wife something , then waiting for the doctor until now, one hour.. two hours…asked the nurse:doctor not here, just wait!.totally five hours waiting already! ….how long should we wait?? My wife whole belly already pains three days ,and getting more pain!!! What is the “emergency ”??? Five , six hours waiting not see the doctor, after seven hours finally see the doctor! Then two hours later, my wife having an intravenous drip, after she To the restroom came back to the bed, and asked the nurse (name:Beatrice)put the drip back, she just said one moment ,but she didn’t care about it!!!!….. She just doing another thing around here ten minutes, and didn’t want to spend a few seconds to help my wife!!!! ?? How terrible….
