I've
been
here
several
times
throughout
the
last
decade
as
well
as
my
family
for
emergency
room
treatments,
surgeries,
and
having
a
baby.
ER
visits
have
been
great
albeit
there
is
a
long
wait
but
this
is
to
be
expected
in
any
NYC
ER.
When
going
to
this
ER,
set
aside
at
a
minimum
12
hours
-
7
hours
for
waiting
doing
absolutely
nothing
&
another
few
hours
waiting
for
labs,
diagnostics,
&
imaging
to
come
back.
In
this
time
frame,
you
may
see
a
doctor
twice
for
a
few
mins.
The
best
time
to
do
this
is
overnight
on
a
weekday
when
it's
less
busy.
Surgery
here
went
great
for
both
myself
and
my
wife
for
two
different
procedures.
Delivering
a
baby
here
is
not
advised
at
all.
The
bed
broke
during
delivery
because
the
doctor
who
came
in
sat
at
the
edge
of
the
bed.
The
epidural
failed
three
times
while
the
residents
watched
in
horror
at
the
failed
attempts
&
the
anesthesiologist
had
to
call
his
superior
to
properly
administer.
After
birth,
the
head
nurse
at
the
maternity
ward
decided
it
was
appropriate
to
spray
benzocaine
spray
all
over
the
room
three
times
while
our
newborn
was
in
the
room
in
order
to
demonstrate
to
my
wife
how
to
apply
the
spray
on
herself
despite
our
newborn
already
having
both
blood
and
heart
issues.
Please
train
staff
to
NOT
do
this,
we
understand
how
spray
buttons
work.
Thankfully
she
is
fine
now
but
does
have
issues
breathing
and
one
can't
help
but
wonder
if
this
is
related
to
the
hospital
visit.
Additionally,
surgeons
are
constantly
smoking
outside
of
the
room
windows
for
newborns
&
mothers
coming
out
of
labor,
right
next
to
the
"NO
SMOKING"
signs.
I
understand
being
a
surgeon
is
a
difficult
job
but
the
no
smoking
rules
should
be
strictly
enforced
near
the
hospital,
especially
outside
the
windows
where
newborns
are
sleeping.
The
no
smoking
rules
are
currently
only
enforced
outside
the
entrances
to
the
ER
by
security.
Seems
like
a
lawsuit
as
well
as
several
violations
waiting
to
happen
here
and
I
would
strongly
advise
finding
somewhere
else
to
deliver
your
baby.
EDIT:
After
posting
my
review
and
a
year
later
once
my
baby
turned
one
year
old,
NYHQ
has
(what
I
believe)
retaliated
by
billing
us
nearly
24
thousand
dollars
out
of
nowhere.
