    I agree with those saying they would give negative stars if they could. This office has the most atrocious customer service I've ever experienced. They are absolutely impossible to get in touch with. There is no receptionist...Walk into the office and it is only virtual check in. They use an answering service that only picks up 10% of the time. If by chance you do get someone to answer the phone, they are completely useless because its just an answering service and all they do is remotely relay messages to the doctors. If you have any sort of need for urgency, you can just forget it. Maybe you will get a response 2 days later... maybe. They are completely disorganized, HORRIBLE communication, and overall not trustworthy. Not the type of place where you feel comfortable and confident putting your health and well being in their care. EDIT: I left this practice finally after their latest screw up. I had been seeing their endocrinologist (which is a tough dr to find in NYC and why I ended up here). I needed to have regular blood work done every 2-3 months to figure out an appropriate medication dose. They would send the blood work script to quest and I could visit any quest, get my blood taken, and then have a follow up appointment with the Dr. Well, they sent the WRONG order to the lab. So at my follow up the test results were completely useless because the lab didn’t test for the right hormones. This office always has about an hour wait so i took about an hour and half out of my day to have the Dr. tell me the results are useless and then charge me a copay. The did nothing to compensate me or rectify this. I was told to retest in 4 weeks and this time when I showed up to the lab THEY HADNT SENT THE ORDER IN! Then I had to try and call their useless operator so they could quickly get the order over to the lab. Biggest waste of time and i can’t begin to explain the amount of frustration I felt. DO NOT go to this Doctors office. They truly are not equipped to be handling people’s health.

    So Shady you changed the google maps name! Absolutely my worst experience in a clinic in NYC and in the entire US. No front desk, personnel is slammed and have extremely disorganized systems. Couldn't even help me with the bare minimum and issue a mammogram that hospital couldn't even take. Had to change to another clinic to get a mammogram and lost 1 month on a waitlist if it was cancer I would have been a death sence. Lucky for me I went back to Europe to see my family and did all my tests there in 1 day instead of ridiculous 2 months waste of time for the right mammogram to be filed. Absurd. Plus other really bad advice in general and sending me to especialist that gaslight me and disregarded me. The Dr has a good heart but is very junior and the clinic has poor execution and serious organizational problems. Will not come back and will not recommend to anyone, avoid!

    I will never go back to bethany medical clinic and I would never recommend this office to anyone. I was ignored on klara for days about a medical question. They finally wrote back 3 days later after I wrote several messages and called multiple times. After they finally responded I asked if the doctor recommends that I should come back for a follow up since the results from one of the my tests came back kinda funky. Again no one ever got back to me. They should be ashamed- this is regarding someone health and I will never step foot there again. Now I have to spend more time and money to see another doctor who can tell me if I am okay or if I need to take something for that. So just remember they will complelty ignore you on klara about a medical question for days on end and they never pick up your calls. Do not go here if you need a primary doctor who cares and will respond in a timely manner

    I don't really leave reviews, but this clinic is potentially dangerous to people's health due to their extreme disregard for patients. As others have said, this clinic is horrible at communication. They never answer the phone and the mailbox is always full, so you can only contact them via email or text, which often takes awhile. On multiple occasions they have cancelled my appointment last minute or not confirmed it and not communicated it clearly, so I've missed classes or work and shown up to the clinic only to find out that I don't have an appointment. They don't tell you if you need to fast for an appointment/testing and then get frustrated with you for not knowing, I've had to reschedule because of this and have seen the same thing happen to other patients. They have little regard for patients, despite the fact that we're here for medical help, and seem to not care that their choices as doctors impact people's health. I got x-rays done at the request of my PCP and then never got any follow up or referrals, despite the x-rays showing I had scoliosis and a condition that was causing my neck to curve the wrong way and the x-ray tech leaving a note on the images saying I needed to see a physical therapist. The gastroenterologist here is horrible and disrespectful- I saw him about digestive issues and severe rapid weight loss after waiting for an appointment for months and he talked to me for 5 minutes, put me on an incredibly restrictive diet with little explanation, and spent the rest of our appointment lecturing me about how I needed to stop taking my Adderall prescription because sometimes other people abuse it to lose weight. At one point he made a comment about how I "couldn't expect to see changes if I kept going to Sweetgreen"- I never said anything about eating at that restaurant and the comment seemed to be solely because I'm a young woman and his assumption that I can't stop myself from eating at trendy salad places. He was condescending and inattentive and at the end of our visit told me not to schedule a follow-up, even though I still had questions and GI symptoms that he hadn't addressed. My PCP here left the practice and there was zero communication from the clinic, I didn't find out until I tried to schedule a follow-up after some getting some testing done and was told that she had left weeks prior. Being a patient here has caused me to delay medical treatments and appointments to the point where the conditions I first went here for have gotten much worse, primarily because of their lack of communication and callous attitudes towards patients. Don't go here if you want to see any improvement in your health or receive quality medical care.

    I very rarely review unless something is EXTREMELY bad. This is the worst doctors office I have ever been to. 1. They have no receptionist and they NEVER answer their phones or return calls 2. They have misdiangosed me multiple times. 3. They were training some guy and he was attempting to draw my blood. He missed veins in BOTH my arms and then proceeded to draw blood from my hand which was extremely painful 4. They user Klara for patient messaging but never check it. Usually takes multiple messages and multiple days to get a response. Avoid this place at all costs.

    NOT WORTH IT DO NOT USE THIS CLINIC. This office is INCREDIBLY unprofessional. Although the providers are wonderul people, it is not worth going to them because the staff are terrible. I have been to several appointments and always pay my 25 dollar copay. I got a new credit card because of fraud. They called me 3 times over the course of 2 hours. Left a voicemail. Wrote two unprofessional messages in Klara, the portal. All over 25 dollars. I told them it was unnecessary and I would update my information and this is not how you act. You leave a message and give people a moment to respond. The next day I recieve another phonecall despite me updating my information. I ignored it as I was on the phone with my mother and they called TWICE MORE in TWO MINUTES. Harassing me over a 25 dollar copay when I have never failed to pay and my appt was 24 hours prior? Disgusting behavior. This is not how you run a clinic. STAY FAR FAR AWAY.

    Bethany medical clinic is great!, the staff are so friendly and helpful, if you need any kind of cosmetic dermatology in Murray Hill, then I definitely think they are worth a call, they are so helpful and if they treat you like they treated me, then you will be very satisfied, I know I was.

    All of visits here have been good, until my last one. I went in to specifically get my prescription refilled, yet two days later and I still don't have my medication. I tried calling two numbers on the website, neither worked. When I finally got in touch with someone, was told I would receive a call back; I'm still waiting on that call. I sent an email and also a text through the Klara system, and haven't received a response to either. I'm leaving the country in a couple of days and all I want is my medication. Why is it so difficult to reach someone for such a simple process?

    I had a bad experience at this clinic. Despite booking to see a doctor, I was only able to see a physicians assistant named Alyssa who refused to give me a referral to a specialist that I requested. I felt she didn’t listen to me and spoke over me.

    Updated review: Unfortunately, it’s time for me to find another doctors office. I’ve been coming to them for 5 years now and the office has progressively gotten worse. The last appointment I had the doctor did a no call no show and my most recent appointment I was waiting to be seen for over 45 minutes. They’re extremely unorganized. The crazy part is that the office is never packed. Just so unfortunate to watch them spiral

    For any new/prospective patients, this is a WARNING to not go to Bethany Medical Clinic. I grew up going to clinics, and this has been one of the most frustrating, unprofessional, disorganized experience. Let me preface, that the medical staff were very kind. Unfortunately, that is the only good thing about this place, the facilities are very run down, with exposed wires, broken doorknobs, and rooms that I would genuinely not feel comfortable getting more than a regular physical in. The communication system they use (Klara) is managed by medical assistants - whom are already so overly busy with other things which means you will not get a response to any question in a timely manner. The billing department (this is my biggest gripe) is NON EXISTENT! I had an appointment in November 2022, and received a bill because Bethany Medical Clinic used the wrong codes when billing my insurance. How do I know this? Because I spoke to my insurance, the lab, <-- I've done my due diligence. The resolution is simple, Bethany Medical Clinic has to address their error - the hard part is that even though I've been reaching out for weeks, I have not received a response/call/any information from their Billing department. Mistakes are common, but the lack of communication, professionalism, and genuine disorganization is what really makes this place one which I will adamantly warn people against. Please find another place to manage your healthcare.

    They charge insane amounts for their routine doctor visits and then withdraw money from your bank account without asking your permission later on. And of course they don’t pick up the phone so you don’t have have a chance to actually resolve anything with them. Ah and make sure you have all day because you will sit there waiting to be seen at your scheduled time for a couple hours.

    I would not go to this clinic again. Their PAs and nurses are courteous and trying to be helpful but lacking experience (at least the ones I encountered). Their billing department is terrible as I raised questions about medical bill, they went radio silent. I followed up and they said they would get back to me, then again no response afterward. They would also charge you a copay for the follow-up appointment for the annual checkup. My follow-up appointment was simply for the PA to go over my annual result and nothing else. Also, their STD test can sometime produce a false positive result, which can be very frustrating. I did one there and the result came back positive which triggered so much anxiety and tension in my relationship since I have never had std in my life, and all the sudden I caught it. It didn’t make any sense. I went to my gyn of 10 years for another std test afterward. The result was negative. Never again with this clinic.

    Honestly, the physicians themselves are nice sand thorough, but as an office, this place is awful. They don’t answer their phone or voice messages. They have a messaging system that they ALSO don’t answer. I have been without my medication for almost 6 weeks, and I have been calling, emailing and messaging them without any response. I just don’t understand how they can let patient messages go unanswered for so long.

    I've been seeing Dr. Ruth Kastalsky (virtually) for my diet/nutrition. She's GREAT (so knowledgeable, patient, very open), also just fun to chat with during our appointments. She's very accessible if you ever have questions, which I think is important. Also, if you ever need a reminder that diet shouldn't be something that you overthink/lose your mind over, she's perfect. I highly recommend her if you've ever been interested in seeing a nutritionist. A bonus is that virtual appointments are extremely convenient. I've also gone to the Columbus Circle location for my PCP...getting annual check-ups, etc. It's always been pretty quick and smooth, not much waiting time and great doctors.

    Bethany Medical is so unprofessional I am concerned that this clinic is still in business. The 2 times I tried booking an appointment with them, they rescheduled my appointments both times at the very last minute after confirming my original appointment times. First appointment, the doctor showed up but decided to cancel my session on the spot because her receptionist did not forward her my paperwork (which I completed in advance). What a waste of my time and the doctor was also rude. Second time I tried booking with the clinic, the receptionist called me the morning of my appointment and asked if I could schedule with a different doctor for a different time. Just unbelievably unprofessional and ridiculous…

    This is not a review of the therapist I was seeing, who was always professional and kind. This is a review of the terrible experience I had in terms of miscommunication and billing. I was told I had no copay and was never billed for anything upfront, which is their stated policy. All of a sudden, $180 was charged to my card with no bill or advanced notice. When I reached out to them to resolve this, they offered many excuses and no apology, despite it being their own communication system and billing system that was at fault, which had lead me to make decisions about my visits that I would have made differently. I'd recommend you take your business elsewhere.

    If I could give negative stars I would. First, the offices are filthy and messy. Second, the staff is rude and spends most of their time goofing around. Third, they never answer their phones. Fourth, the pharmacy and I have called them multiple times about a refill for a prescription that I can easily withdraw from with no luck in reaching anyone. Fifth, one time I scheduled a psych appointment with one of their therapists and waited a half hour in an empty office. There were peoples’ medical files thrown around the front desk. Finally when I knocked on the only door with a light on another person came out and said the therapist doesn’t even work at this location which I got messages confirming me to go to. She actually wasn’t on the schedule at all that week altogether and they had no record of my appointment even though I had multiple messages and emails confirming from them. Sixth, another time I tried to book with a different therapist of theirs I waited in the office for 20 minutes listening to the receptionist gossip about some guy she was seeing with a friend on the phone, finally the “doctor” came out and brought me back to his office, he insisted on keeping his door open even though the echo-y office had a yoga class going on in the other room — I didn’t feel comfortable opening up. When I finally mentioned that I was a little too anxious to discuss anything he seemed confused and said he was an orthopedic? I showed the receptionist that I had booked with the psychology therapist and got confirmed but my appointment was then with this guy? Basically — don’t go here.

    Unfortunately I've had a terrible experience with this clinic. I became a patient back in 2020 and recently had an appointment in March of 2021 and they charged me as a new patient. They told me I had two days to pay $278.00 and automatically charged me as a new patient. I've tried endlessly calling and emailing and they have not responded to me. Would highly recommend looking for an alternate clinic for anyone considering going here as the staff is non-responsive and they bill incorrect and inaccurate amounts.

    Was told that I have too much to work on in therapy to utilize their services. Which isn't a nice thing to hear after a doctor makes you hash up all your trauma. If you have *serious* trauma go find a real therapist that can off you 45-60 minutes instead of 30. I also have a horrible experience with their reception & getting notified of my appointments.

    I have consulted with Dr. Ruth Kastalsky a few times and really enjoyed my sessions with her! She is very personable and responsive, speaking to her feels like I am chatting with a very knowledgeable friend. She works with my life circumstances and offers actionable advice in a non-judgmental manner. She is quick to response and will do a lot of research for you. Highly highly recoomend! Took away one star because the clinic's admin itself is absolutely HORRENDOUS! Trying to schedule an appointment is near impossible, they either have system issues and don't see the appointments, experience massive delays (I suspect it's because the appointments are not showing up for the Doctor), and also have random people calling/videochatting taking down the same new-patient intake questions repeatedly. Don't let this dissuade you from seeing Dr. Kastalsky though! She'll help facilitate the calls and make the process much easier!

    Horrible experience! They said they were an ENT on zocdoc, then when I went there they said they actually werent. Doctor wasnt there. Said they took my insurance then charged me $175 saying they actually didn't. Went in to check my nose PA didn't even look inside until I asked. No one was at reception the entire visit. Just the worst - scam. Don't waste your time or money.

    HORRIFIC SERVICE. Let’s start by saying they are absolutely impossible to get in touch with. Sent the wrong prescription to the lab for blood test and then when i went for a second time the lab didn’t have the prescription order. I sat at the lab for 20 minutes just waiting to get in touch with the office to get them to send the prescription. Worst doctors service in NYC. By all means AVOID AVOID AVOID.

    When I came in, the bell to enter wasn't clear or marked and the signage to check in via the iPad wasn't clear and the staff was not even there. I had been waiting over 40 minutes during which I was not greeted or given new patient paperwork even though 3 staff came in with their own chaos and stress rushing around. Incredibly rude lady comes up with a bad attitude and disrespect, and at that point I decided to leave. Such a horrible experience especially in a healthcare provider office. Would not recommend to anyone.

    Worst experience ever! Had my visit at Murray Hill location yesterday. First of all, I waited for more than an hour to get treated. Then the doctor and the assistants had no idea of what blood work they can do at the clinic and had to send me away to another lab, making me wait again for nothing. Then they scheduled me back the next day to do ECG because of too much traffic today, which caused my long wait (they even sent patients back home to come again next day and the patient said he got rescheduled 3 times) but 10mins after I left they called me to do ECG somewhere else in ER because this was an emergency and because their device can’t show image right away, I refused and came back to get the ECG right away - it seemed their device was completely fine to give the results right away. Then today I went to the radiology for x-ray but the physicians here told me x-ray was never mentioned on the prescription so they can’t treat me at all, both the physician and I have been calling the clinic crazy and left multiple messages, no one answered or returned calls at all, although I know they are working today as they originally scheduled my visit for today. In addition, they never sent my prescription to my pharmacy either. Oh, did I forget to mention that last year I got my annual physical exam at UWS location and went to Columbus Circle for the first dose of a vax, the Columbus Circle never saw the results, and when I went back to UWS for the 2nd dose, the doctor has no idea what it’s about and had no storage of the vax either, a complete waste of time. Totally a disaster across all doctors and assistants and across all locations. Can I give 0 star or negative star? I’ll never come back again, and will recommend everyone stay away from them!

    0 star!!! I saw these comments after making the appointment on Zocdoc, and thought I’ll give it a try. Maybe it’s not that bad. WRONG!!! The receptionist said the doctor can’t see me now, but they can help me make an appointment at another time. I asked them why confirm my appointment if the doctor doesn’t have time, and they say they never confirm appointments. Save yourself some time! Don’t go to this place!!!

    Great family practice. I definitely found my PCP. The front staff are nice and always trying to make your visit as pleasant as possible. Dr. Shirin is extremely knowledgeable and also takes the time to connect with you and discuss options. The staff is so friendly and billing and correspondence always goes smoothly. So thankful to have finally found a great doctor and office.

    I have been going to Bethany Medical Clinic for a while, and stayed with them because of convenience, but I’ve consistently had bad experiences every time. Below is a summary of my recent experience in the past month. Booked an appointment online, received confirmation, went to the appointment to find the location was closed. Called and left a voicemail requesting a call back to reschedule, didn’t receive a call. Booked another appointment (finding a new doctor is hard), went to my appointment, was told the doctor is at lunch and I would have to wait. The checkout process was just as ridiculous as the booking of the appointment, I’ve been to much more efficient doctors offices. We finally scheduled a follow up telehealth call to discuss test results. When I logged in for my telehealth appointment, after waiting for 20 minutes, I received messages that I should schedule another appointment to see another doctor. I asked why we can’t discuss my results during my appointment at this time, and the doctor just logged off. Terrible terrible terrible experience, terrible logistics, terrible organization on their part. I wasted my time and my money by going to this clinic, I’ve had many other issues with them like when I’ve asked for refills and they’ll claim they’ve called the pharmacy but don’t, and I have to follow up multiple times. I don’t know how this is an accredited clinic, patient care is definitely not a priority here.

    The fact that this clinic is still open is a testament to how bad our healthcare system is and how desperate people are for care. If you have the ability to go literally anywhere else to get care, do it. The endocrinologist here is really great, and that is hard to find, which is why I ended up here. But the admin is atrocious. I have gone weeks without refills for my prescriptions, despite calling, messaging and emailing multiple times. I have shown up at the time of my appointment to find the office closed. I’ve had them send me a no show bill after an appointment I had just finished. I’ve waited over an hour for appointments. They have messed up blood tests more than once by testing for the wrong things. Communication through Klara is a mess and usually takes at least a week for them to correctly answer a single question. There is no front desk and there’s no one to talk to to fix a problem.

    If I could give this office 0 stars I would! This is my first review ever but felt like people should be warned about this place. I made an appointment with a doctor for medical clearance for surgery. When arriving to the office there was no receptionist or anyone that could open up the front door. After 10 minutes of ringing the doorbell, another patient walks out and I finally get in. Not only was i seen by a doctor that i did not make an appointment with, but both the doctor and the nurse did not understand what i needed for my medical clearance (i provided detailed instructions and documentation from my surgeon) The nurse proceeded to call another nurse on her cell phone to ask if she knew what tests i needed. The nurse failed to performed an Ekg, which was required and listed in the documentation I provided. After a few weeks of calling everyday trying to get my results I finally get a hold of someone who finally asks me to come back to get the Ekg. My surgery was almost cancelled because of the lack of response and regard from this “medical facility”. And to make matters worse, i was charged automatically from my card for 2 doctors visits even though the second doctors visit was due to their mistake. Don’t waste your time, go elsewhere!

    The receptionist and the PA were very nice and professional but the lady who took my vitals was extremely rude and talked to me like a kid. She dismissed me while she talked on her private phone. Her manners are nothing to be desired. Please hired people who have a passion to serve people.
