FYI, they actually close an hour before their stated closing time. So if they say they are open until 8:15 p.m. today, it actually means they are only open until 7:15 p.m. I showed up at 7:30 p.m. for a Covid test and was told they were closed. I pointed to the sign on the door that said they were open until 8:15 on weekdays and was told, "We actually stop taking patients an hour before closing time." Up until now I've had good experiences with this place, but it's really ridiculous -- not to mention extremely confusing -- for them to claim that they are open for a full hour later than they actually are. If you don't admit patients after 7:15, that means you close at 7:15. This is really not a complicated concept, and I'm unsure why Mount Sinai Urgent Care is apparently the only place of business on earth that hasn't figured out what "closing time" means.

Went to this clinic just to get a flu shot. A nurse can give flu shots, everyone knows it, but a MD came out to give me a shot. I didnā€™t asked to be seen by a doctor for any reason. And was consequently charged for $125. I contacted the billing department, and was told the doctor who gave me the shot talked to me to explain side effects of flu shots, etc, and this was the reason why I had to pay for this as a visit to see a doctor. Any health insuranceā€™s website says flu shots are fully covered and so encourages everyone to get one. If this clinic lets their MDs to give flu shots or other similar simple procedures that everyone knows donā€™t take MDs in order to make more money, the director has to train the front desk staff to inform unsuspecting potential victims that this clinic lets MDs to give flu shots when thereā€™s absolutely no need for it and there might be a hefty change for it. Giving shots are a very common procedure. Not the kind you encounter only a few times a year. The front desk must be able to handle this better. If I had been told the flu shot here would be handled this way, I would have immediately left to go to a CVS. No such information was given. At least let customers make informed decisions! A couple of weeks ago I received a notice from a debt collector. I discussed this with my primary care, a Mount Sinai physician. She suggested I contact the medical director or the administrator at the site for them to adjust the diagnosis code. I went to the clinic but couldnā€™t get beyond the front desk. The contact information of the managerial level at this site is nowhere to be found. So I emailed the customer care of the organization but after more than 2 weeks I havenā€™t heard from them. I have a couple more weeks before I can file a dispute with the collection agency. No matter what kind of reasoning the hospitals come up with, and try to high handedly suppress peopleā€™s voices, from a consumer point of view this is a scam. And Iā€™m deeply upset and disappointed in your practice.

I came here last night around 6 in pain and in need of medical assistance. There were 5 people in the waiting area and no one at the front desk. I waited a while for someone to come and no one ever did. An employee came from a room near the front doors and completely walked past the forming line. A nurse practitioner came in and called a few names of people who were already waiting, but did not acknowledge the line at all. Not even a ā€œsomeone will be right with youā€. We were just standing here waiting for them to care. After twenty minutes of waiting on line JUST for a receptionist to come, I left. Horrible service. Avoid if you value your time.

DO NOT GO HERE! I came here to see the Dr. because of a lower abdominal pain. I waited 1hr. before the Dr. came in to see me. She spent approx. 5mins and mentioned that she was going to check my urine results, it's almost 45mins and I haven't seen her yet. Do not go to this place, you are better off waiting to see your own Dr. Or go to the ER hospital. Read the other reviews and the responses by the owner, responses do not read genuine.

This place is HORRIBLE!!! From the Unwelcoming Front Desk to the 1 hour...To the False Closing of the Center based off of a sign on the Door...Other patients asking for CoPay refunds due waiting over 1 hour...Urgent Care does have to word Urgent for a Reason...Office had less than 5 people with everyone ending up leaving due to lack of attention.

I frequently used this urgent care for various reasons. There was a billing mistake they refused to own up to. They sent my account to an aggressive collections agency even though I was paying bills regularly for other visits. All over $40. It seems like lately they care more about money than patient care.

No one wants to go to an urgent care the day after Christmas, but our experience at this location couldn't have been better when me and my family ended up here for a variety of reasons. We were seen quickly, the facilities were clean, and the staff was very nice and thorough. Dr. Ragaz took her time and showed genuine care for me and my 2-year old son. Highly recommend.

Excellent practice. Receptionist is super friendly. Dr. Ragaz and Dr. Cicatelli are both exceptionally caring. This is the best urgent care Iā€™ve ever been to by leaps and bounds. I think I will be switching tot his practice for their primary care as well, based on my experience.

Absolutely abhorrent. I was suffering kidney pain and came up here to see a doctor. When I walked in there was a big TV with cartoons blaring. I walked up to reception and the girl was texting on her phone. After a few minutes of me standing there, she finally looked up and asked if she could help me. I asked her if she could possibly make the TV set lower because I couldnā€™t hear anything else around me and the really loud noise was distressing. After a few minutes of tense attitude she took the remote control and lowered the sound. I imagine she was biding her time until 5 pm (on the dot) rolled around so she could join her friends for happy hour. This is who you hire at a medical facility as reception?!? She pointed to a clipboard and asked me to fill out a form. I sat down and started to fill out the form, and then thought, ā€œI can only imagine what kind of doctors would work here (probably ones that wear white coats with daisy boutonniĆØres that squirt waterā€). If this is a medical (urgent care!) reception, I pity anyone who needs urgent care and finds themselves here. I got up and walked out and am in a cab now to NYU Urgent Care. This Mount Sinai Urgent Care (91st Street & Columbus) is a travesty.

I received excellent care at this location. The medical staff was very attentive and took good care of me. Dr Feldman was very compassionate, explained what was going on with me, listened to my concerns and made recommendations. I live In Queens and decided to come to this location. I live around many City MD urgent Cares and talking from experience, you will not get this kind of care at City MD.

The wait times are counted in HOURS. We came in, signed in, LOTS of paperwork. 45m wait, no feedback, no nothing, you have absolutely no idea what is going on, you are at their absolute mercy and in the dark. After 45m of this I decided to ask, my wife is really ill and has a horrible cough, the very nice ladies informed us then that there were still 7 persona before us, so at least 1.5hr more of wait. I have NEVER been through a situation like this in an urgent care context in NYC. We are not doing Mt-Sinai Urgent Care anymore. Horrible experience, we left. 30m later we are already being seen in that other place that have a bunch of clinics around the city. Bye.

Went in with a swollen eye and cheek from what seemed to be a stye that was infected. Doctor asked why I was there pointed to my eye and he diagnosed me with eczema because my skin was a little dry on my face. Not one question asked about my eye. Had to convince him that I thought my eye might be infected. He prescribed me cream for the eczema (that explicitly says on the box not to use on the face) then at my insistence oral antibiotics and drops for my eye. After I convinced him that my eye oozes pus. Had to go there because impossible to get an appointment with primary within a few days. Of course it's $20 dollars more (copay usually 30) to go to urgent care. Still reasonable but... Tell me again why we can't have single payer, socialized medicine in this country?

Closed most of the time. Took my mom once - they were open but had no doctors on staff to see her that day. Come back tomorrow they said. How do you have no doctors on staff???? Today, took her again because she fell - the whole office is closed yet supposed to be open. Now we have to make a trip via Uber to the one on 91st. Whatā€™s the point if you arenā€™t open or have anyone there??

Arrived 9:30am on a Sunday. I was the only patient. Efficient exam, tests taken by nurse. MD came in and did a quick exam. Really quick, but got the job done. Great response of test results over the next few days. Everything was negative including Covid. But 2 1/2 days for Covid results???? I would not hesitate to go back if I needed to in the future

I love this urgent care clinic!! I have been going here for years and almost invariably the experience is stellar. Most recently, I was treated by Louis Cicatelli and he made a referral to follow up care that is likely going to address a long-standing mysterious medical issue. I am very grateful. But the whole staffā€”from front desk receptionist to medical personnelā€”is typically warm, professional and speedy!!

I went to Mt Sinai in March 2020 with Covid and wound up with Long Covid. The Doctor was not familiar with Mt Sinai Covid Help. (I heard about it on the news.) I finally got an appointment and that person was helpful; she referred me to PT and offered suggestions that were extremely helpful including increasing dosage of OTC medicine I prescribed for myself (my doctor didn't) to a prescription strength medicine. I was attempting to feel better while going to work, but it's extremely difficult with LC and the job had its own joy, so I wanted to go for a leave of absence without pay but my Mt Sinai Doctor wouldn't write a letter allowing it because she couldn't "quantify it" and I needed to speak to someone regarding a regimen but healthcare wait lists prevented it from occurring in time, so thanks to Mt Sinai, I've lost my insurance over a simple letter to allow someone to have a leave of absence without pay. Insurance should not be tied to work. I'm going to retire and never go back to Mt Sinai again. PG.

Worst place on earth if you need any care. First time Iā€™ve ever had a panic attack and didnā€™t know what it was, as a day before I had sever allergic reaction. They didnā€™t even bother to look at me or provide any sort of comfort or anything, no pulse check, no ECG, nothing. They offered to call 911, mmm, If I can walk there, have a conversation with you and explain you my situation, I think I am capable enough to call 911 myself. Iā€™m sorry I decided to have a panic attack 15 mins before your closing time, must have been very inconvenient.

Iā€™ve been feeling really sick, nauseous, and dizzy for a few days. And the doctor said, oh well, probably dehydration, even though I drink a lot of water and I told her that. Didnā€™t even bother. Guess it was closing time and why should an urgent care doctor actually care about patients. So now Iā€™m headed to the ER.

While the doctors have been personable and the office staff friendly, I have had real problems. Getting a referral that I needed for a dietician was strangely impossible to do, despite using their online software, leaving messages for the doctor, and 2 visits. When I went by a third time, in person, to get a paper copy of the referral; they gave me a copy that was "closed" another copy "pending review;" in other words, useless. Second, the billing staff did not have the same information about insurance plans that the office staff had. This led to a nightmare of phone calls and letter writing to get the office to accept my insurance. Third, it is very hard to schedule appointments. Forget about the MyMtSinai online software and expect to be hung up on and get bad connections when you are finally redirected to the correct office. Whoever is in charge of managing this office, must be trying to ruin it!

There was a long wait, However if you have visited an ER lately you will agree that it is worth the wait. The doctor was caring, professional and knowledgeable. The front desk person was polite and efficient. I was there about 3 hours, I think 3 hours for a doctor at a walk-in clinic is about as good as it gets. I donā€™t have anything negative to say.

I was seen by Dr. Schwartz at mount Sinai urgent care west. She was incredibly thorough and actually listened to my concerns as well as send the necessary referrals and lab work to find out what's really going on with me. She payed close attention to my health history and was able to troubleshoot accordingly. I was beyond impressed. Her bedside manner was awesome. I feel that I can finally get to the bottom of why I've been experiencing pain and discomfort. Seriously thank you so much Dr. Schwartz.

Came here to see someone due to a severe throat infection. It was 9:30 they werenā€™t letting anyone inside yet. There was a line outside. Finally when we were able to come inside they informed us due to not having a MA they canā€™t start or do anything. No registration and the doctor canā€™t even see us. They offered the option for us to wait. I waited for like 30 minutes and afterwards when someone asked the front desk for any updates she said no that they might have to close down the office today. This is just awful. I know hospitals are usually short staffed but urgent care centers too. This was just not good at all. I ended up going to CityMD and they took me in fast and I got my prescription. The manager at this urgent care center has to do better. Itā€™s amazing how one person can ruin the flow of an entire organization. Iā€™m perplexed. Donā€™t come here on the weekends. If so just call in advance to make sure they are fully staff before making a trip outside when youā€™re already unwell.

Date of Visit: 9/17/2023 I recently had an extremely concerning experience at Mount Sinai Urgent Care, which I feel compelled to share to warn others about the potential lack of adequate care and attention. Upon my visit, I was having breathing difficulties, a critical condition that seemed to be underestimated by the attending medical personnel. I had informed the doctor that the oximeter, which read a 100% oxygen saturation, has known design flaws when used on darker skin tones ā€“ she dismissed what I said and informed me that they use it on people with darker skin all the time. Iā€™m a data scientist, I am familiar with these issues. My struggle to breathe was palpable; however, the doctor appeared to discount my assertion, displaying an alarming lack of concern or knowledge regarding the potential inaccuracies of the oximeter reading. Rather than addressing my distressing respiratory situation with urgency and care, I was shockingly, passed off to a medical assistant and not offered any supplemental oxygen to alleviate my breathing difficulties. I was left isolated in the examination room, feeling neglected and in distress, gasping for air, without any medical intervention or support. An ambulance was called, and upon arrival, the EMTs were visibly shocked by the absence of any medical assistance. It was disconcerting to witness the surprise and concern from the EMTs, professionals accustomed to emergency situations, over the lack of immediate and appropriate medical response from a reputed urgent care facility. The EMT told the ER staff about me being left alone without any treatment when they arrived. My experience at Mount Sinai Urgent Care was marked by a severe lack of medical acumen, responsiveness, and a blatant disregard for patient welfare and urgency. It raises grave concerns about the competency and training of the attending medical staff and leaves one questioning the reliability and quality of care provided at this facility. Patients entrust medical professionals and facilities with their lives and well-being, and it is disheartening and frightening to think that this trust could be so egregiously violated. I hope that no one else has to endure such a horrifying experience and that immediate corrective measures are taken to ensure patient safety, care, and respect.

Title: Frustrating Billing Experience Mars an Otherwise Positive Medical Care at Mount Sinai Urgent Care I recently had an unfortunate experience with Mount Sinai Urgent Care at Columbus Avenue, and while I have no qualms with the medical care provided by the doctors, my interactions with the billing department have left me deeply dissatisfied. And this is not the first time. I have faced this issue before as well. Despite my insurance covering the cost of my physical, I received repeated $30 bills. I made several attempts, including in-person visits, phone calls, and online chats, to rectify the situation. Each time, I was assured that it was a mistake on their part and that they would resolve the issue. Following their advice, I refrained from paying the bills. To my dismay, after six months, I found myself facing a bill from a debt collector, claiming I owed the amount in question. Reluctantly, I paid the bill, feeling let down by the hospital's failure to address the billing error. While the medical professionals at Mount Sinai Urgent Care were commendable, the billing department's lack of competence and failure to rectify their mistakes has tarnished my overall experience. The assurance I received proved hollow, leading to an unnecessary and frustrating encounter with debt collectors. This incident has left me with a sense of disappointment and has eroded my trust in the administrative processes of Mount Sinai Urgent Care. Regrettably, this negative experience has influenced my decision not to return to this facility for future medical needs. I hope my feedback serves as a constructive critique for the hospital to improve its billing procedures, ensuring that other patients do not have to endure similar frustrations in the future.

My visit to Mount Sinai Urgent Care on the upper West Side was especially helpful, since I needed medical attention over a weekend when my doctorā€™s office was closed. I received immediate and excellent care, attention, a diagnosis and a prescription that I was able to fill soon after leaving the care center. Dr. F.Thum xwas extremely helpful, asked questions, listened to my answers, discussed his diagnosis and immediately conveyed this information to my primary care doctor. He also took a photo to send to my doctor via MyChart documenting my skin ailment. Iā€™m grateful for his help and for the efficiency and friendliness of the office staff.

I went there early on a Sunday morning. Staff was kind and cheerful, the doctor was thoughtful and responsive to my concerns. I was referred for additional testing which revealed why I was experiencing a pain, and am now following up on this issue! The pain was more steady over the weekend, which scared me and I felt I needed medical attention more immediately. This Urgent Care site was really one the best experiences I ever had at a place like this, especially since they helped me find the answer to this chronic pain I had been having off and on for awhileā€¦.
