Mount Sinai Doctors - Delancey Street

Medical clinic

😠 I have never had such a terrible experience in this clinic. The receptionist in the front desk, I believe her name was Lyons, was the rudest person. Also the medical Assistant Tamika in the Dermatology department is the most imcompetent and rude person. I will not visit this clinic again. People often mention appointment, doctor, time, experience, staff, patient, office, insurance, care, desk,

Front desk offers an extremely brief verbal summary about what you’re signing (you cannot physically see the documents) & uses misleading terminology in reference to being billed. Totally consented to paying an already pricey $350 due upon arrival. Doctor was made aware on several occasions that I was a self-paying patient (no insurance/paying out of pocket) Doctor was not transparent about what would be considered a “procedure” (which I later discovered comes at an additional cost due immediately upon discharge) Could have easily concluded appointment with the information given to me before “procedure” was conducted which resulted in light, suggestive advice that wasn’t necessary or worth an additional $375. Front desk apologized for miscommunication & says the doctor should’ve been more clear about what procedures would cost more so I could actually give consent, being that I’m paying entirely out of pocket. All of which was said “for next time around” after already forcing payment. Slimy transaction at my expense. Feel extremely uneasy about this place. Unethical & very obviously money hungry at the one place you’d hope for a little more empathy from than the next.

Had a 15 minute "video appointment" where I received no advice, treatment or follow up for my bad shoulder. The doctor happily still charged me for $440 for the virtual visit. Avoid this practice at all costs. They care more about money than helping their patients - sad but also not surprising. Extremely disappointed

I wish I could give them 0 stars because that’s really what they deserve. I have never experienced or witnessed such disregard and incompetence for patients in my life. The staff is rude and unable to answer the simpliest questions. I had to follow up several time with any request I made and more often than not those attempts were ignored. From my experience, no one from the doctors to the office staff care about providing a decent level of care to patients. I hope NY state investigates this practice because as far as I’m considering there is serious negligence occurring. Save yourself the time and stress and go somewhere not affiliated with Mount Sinai.

The people working at fronts desk is the worse disrespectful nasty and unprofessional. Looks like they're not trained and have a poor education in all sense. They were laughing about a person accent and language barrier.

I went here for an appointment and the doctor was incredibly rude to me. Immediately made me feel like a burden, would ask questions but instead of waiting for a reply talked over me, asked zero follow up (missing tons of context), hastily performed diagnostics leaving me in pain for what is normally a painless diagnostic, and left with little discussion. I don’t recommend anyone go.

Rude staff. No one here cares about the patients they just try to milk you for any money whenever possible. Doesn’t bill the insurance unless you call and specifically ask to bill the insurance after they already send you a bill despite them having your insurance on record. Refuse to refill prescriptions which are not controlled substances unless you make additional appointments despite seeing my doctor less than a month ago and being on the prescription for 10 years and having the proper blood work completed and faxed to them. Worst doctor’s office I’ve ever had.

My PCP scheduled a dermatology visit for me here. I received confirmation from this facility of my appointment by email. I went to the front door 20 minutes early for my appointment and found everything locked and no one at the door despite ringing the bell a bunch of times. I was trying to call the mainline when a doctor walked out and let me in. He told me security was going to the rest room but he was leaving. I checked in, my credit card and insurance were run. A few minutes later a nurse told me that the doctor that I was scheduling with leaves over two hours earlier in the day and that they had been trying to reach me by phone. The phone number they had was wrong. I'm mostly just confused on why an email wasn't sent saying that the appointment was cancelled when I received email from mount Sinai confirming the appointment in the first place. Thankfully I wasn't going for anything urgent because the next appointment they have is in 3 weeks.

The wait times here went downhill. I've been coming here for about a year now and it was pretty quick to get called in early on but my last two visits I had to wait over 30 mins and that doesn't include the 5-10 mins of me coming before my appt time. Also a heads up if you make a late appointment the nurse who does lab work leaves around 5 so if your appointment is at 6, you have to schedule another appointment with the nurse to come back and do your lab work. The doctors are great... The wait times are not worth it

Had a great experience here. My PCP Dr. Newman is the loveliest PCP ever. She is so bubbly and kind. She immediately helped me secure much needed referrals to deal with my chronic pain and now I have answers after years of begging doctors to take me seriously! I can't thank her enough and look forward to continuing my care with her. I see a lot of negative reviews of the facility. I had nothing but a quick and easy time, but I am lucky that my insurance is very good and covers almost everything. I would have preferred to fill out the paperwork ahead of time, but they have computers and it was not a huge problem for me. The waiting room was quiet and not overcrowded or overbooked. I was seen as soon as I filled out the forms. Everything was clean. The location is great too. Lots of good restaurants, bars, and galleries around for an after appointment lunch and stroll.

After checking with Dr. Ameer, the lady at the front desk told me I had to reschedule my appointment because it was 1 minute past the 15 minute grace period. Very frustrating considering I came in drenched from the rain and had been seated and filling out forms several minutes earlier.

Just had my first appointment with Dr. Choi. From the front desk, to the nurse, to Dr. Choi, I had a great experience. Everyone was kind and professional, the facility is very clean, and the entire process was quick.

In June 2021, a chiropractor gave me an adjustment to my shoulder and neck. My arm started feeling strange on the way home, and the next day my shoulder was aching constantly and my hand was tingling non-stop, and wouldn't stop for another month or so. I had MRI's done within the following month which showed that I had significant tears in my bicep tendon and labrum. I went to Dr. Yeung's office where he glanced at the scans, telling me that PT was good enough. He seemed distracted and sped through the appointment. Fast forward 10 months of PT and DAILY pain (I was working as a fabricator at a furniture company and favoring my right arm to save me from more pain) and my situation had worsened, along with developing new injuries on my right arm from overuse that caused me to quit that job to avoid further damage to myself. I went to a different surgeon to have a new opinion, and looking at the same scans from 10 months ago said my bicep tendon was so damaged that it needed to be reattached, and my labrum was in a similar boat. He was shocked that Dr. Yeung did not elect to operate. I do not take pleasure in writing any of this, but Dr. Yeung seriously needs to improve the amount of attention and detail he gives to patients. I'm recovering from surgery now and by the time I fully recover it will likely be 18months to 2 years since I've had a properly working left arm.

Not even worthy of one star. Had to click one in order to post. I went, was seen by a doc, sent for xrays elsewhere. went for the xrays, got results in my chart on my own. reached out multiple times to the doc who never returned my calls or wrote back to my message. I will not be going back there.

There is nothing worse than Mount Sinai. I have called them 10+ times to follow up on my MRI and received tons of contradicting information from them. The staff is rude and not helpful at all. Now I have a hand injury that has not gone away for months and they are simply have no idea what is going on. I have also followed up with Dr. Marco Yeung multiple times via their platform (which they told me to use) and received no response from him on my injury. If this is the level of service he thrives to provide to a patient with an injury, then perhaps a different career is more suitable for him and honestly everyone working at the center. I wish I never went there because now two moths passed and I still have the same injury with no updates from them. My next action is simply to start over with another Dr. since Dr. Yeung is not even responding to help me.

This clinic is a joke. They called me at 7:20pm the night before my appointment (at 1pm the next day) saying that I need to call my insurance to make a change to my profile, otherwise I wouldn't be able to keep my appointment the next day. I called my insurance and it turns out they had it wrong on the office end, so I tried calling them back multiple times at 7:40pm, but was unable to reach anyone or leave a message, even though their office hours online and on the answering service CLEARLY state that the office closes at 8pm. With the less than 24 hours of notice for this call, along with the complete unreachability of the staff, I am incredibly frustrated with how this clinic is run. You clearly do not care about the people that you purport to help.

Living in NYC for 8 years, this was my best annual physical experience I’ve had thus far as a new patient. I was called into the room early, and Dr. Wooyoung Choi saw me shortly after. She was attentive, thorough, and very friendly. She took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. Would definitely recommend this location and doctor.

Not only was the experience quite negative with the doctor, I received an expensive hospital bill without advance communication of my payment responsibility. Billing department was not helpful and blamed the patient for not asking for the price tag in advance, which is in violation of the Hospital Price Transparence Rule enacted in 2021.

I showed up for a 10:30 at 10:38 and was made aware of a FIVE MINUTE grace period. Five minutes. I was listed as no show and they wouldn’t fit me. You’d think they’d let patience know about that such a hard deadline. Extremely frustrating. Lack of care about patients is evident.

Had a great experience here for an ENT visit with Dr. Alicea. From the moment I walked in, everyone from the security guard, the front desk, nurse practitioner, to the Dr all were kind, professional, and attentive. I have never had this kind of experience at the doctor's office. I wish this team could treat me for everything. The wait time was less than 2 minutes, I was greeted with kindness, I was listened to, and my ailment was addressed. Dr. Alicea also has the best bedside manner. My experience was so differently POSITIVE, that I asked to see the manager so I could share my rave reviews...and I never do this. Thank you to the best team.

Impossible to talk to anyone. I moved back to NYC and have medical problems and want to make sure I get my records to my PCP before visit. Frustrating that a human based service doesn’t see the need to have a human to talk to. The online chat took so long to load I gave up waiting!

DONT GO! They charge you before your doctors appt and then tell you they can’t do anything for you. Wasted $400 to be told I need to go to someone else

Dr. Ameer Hmeidan is absolutely amazing I love how he does everything! Each visit he is patient, very informative, and easy to talk to. For the first time I feel like a doctor understands and is clear on how to the get to the healthier me. He responds quickly when messaged through my chart. He is just the best! I'm not sure why the rating is so low for this office but what I figured is there is multiple practices in this one building and all the reviews goes in one no matter what doctor you are rating. I was seen at 6pm and there was a nurse on duty for blood work.

I had a <10 minute introductory phone call, but was charged $660 for a 1-hour, in-office, "complex" appointment. I tried to dispute this (as the nature of the phone call was just me describing my symptoms), but was denied, and the doctor never followed up as he had stated. Definitely felt let down after this experience.

Worst experience. Appointment incorrectly scheduled, then asked to reschedule for multiple weeks later for a condition that needed urgent attention.

The new and just opened Mt. Sinai Doctors at 104 Delaney Street is so so new that everything is still shiny and new. I was in there for a Podiatrist appointment and I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in for my appointment. The staff is still trying to get use to the place, and working understaffed.

Was waiting for my scheduled appointment for only a few minutes- super standard. All staff were kind and accommodating, very clean facility, loved my doctor and medical assistant!

was referred here by my PCP because the clinic was supposed to have an ultrasound. This wasn’t the case, a waste of my time and money, now I have to make two additional appointments elsewhere.

I never leave reviews but I absolutely love love Dr. Grover! The entire staff there was kind and efficient. There was literally no wait time. My mother came with me to the visit and was telling Dr. Grover that she is sending her all the blessings because she is truly patient, includes you in the care, answers all your questions and ensures she actually gets to know you as a patient of hers. Will absolutely be seeing her again! Thank you to the whole team for everything!

I scheduled two appointments on account of location (far from home), this way I would get all I needed done (ENT and Allergist). I was approximately 15-25minutes late for the first appointment, therefore the medical staff reported they had to reschedule the appointment (which I expected and did). While waiting for the second appointment the medical staff informed me that they had an available spot later on in the day to accommodate the first missed appointment. I decided to CALL OUT OF WORK in order to make the appointment. (My health comes first, right). Only to show up later on and be told there is no appointment rescheduled and that I would have to reschedule later on in the week. Truly unacceptable and very much disappointing. The manager claimed she tried to get a same day appointment later on however the doctor was completely booked and was also double booked. Her efforts were appreciated but I spend the entire day waiting for an appointment that never occurred and lost a days worth of work! Would not want to wish that on any other patient. Not coming back to the office!

Worst neurologist ever (Dr Fitzpatrick). Rude and completely careless. Ive been unfortunate to be her patient for a year now and I lost count on the issues Ive been having with a simple Rx refill. Last month she mistakenly cancelled the Rx and now she’s moving practice and so there’s no way of getting in touch with her (I send her two messages in the last week). Once again I am now out of medication because of the inadequacy and malpractice of Dr Christine Fitzpatrick and complete lack of a continuity of care / management from the practice.
