There is a light skinned short haired gentlemen that sat behind the desk tonight. Now tonight I observed him speak to more than five people in a very condescending tone as if he is better than others. The doctor came out and called a patient’s name and a patient was asking the doctor to clarify, and this gentleman felt the need to display masculinity and told the doctor to come behind the counter and check the chart to see if the name matched. Meanwhile the patients are here in the waiting room patiently waiting while this guy feels the need to display his “authority.” If you walk in and see this guy walk right out. Not worth the disrespect from this condescending, chauvinistic guy.

They are awesome! Recently I went in, I was sick. I had no idea what was wrong with me. They quickly ruled out flu, sent me to the nearest emergency. My appendix was about to burst! They saved my life@the doctors are are attentive and great diagnosticians

PA Howell took great care of me and couldn’t have been more patient or thorough. Tae at the front desk got me checked in and settled as quick as was possible.

If I could give 0 stars I would. If you have Brittany Yanora as a physician just be aware of how rude she will speak to you. I had the worst experience here today on 12/23/21. The first thing that was a red flag she walked in and said so I hear you have multiple problems in a rude way. (I wanted to get tested for Covid and believe I have a kidney infection so TWO things). In my opinion (I am in the medical field as well) she should of walked in and asked what’s going on. I have never encountered a physician that was so rude and spoke down on a patient. I was telling her about my pain. Which she made me tell her multiple times. She looked at me at the end of the appointment and said so you think you know more about medicine than me? VERY rudely… I started to get upset because she had just told me to go over my story again.. I told her no I’m not saying anything about you with medicine. I am telling you I know my body and I know this pain. I had this pain a few months ago and a doctor prescribe antibiotics for me. She went off on me again. I would understand her questioning me if I was asking for pain meds. I was NOT. I started to get upset and cry because of how rudely she was speaking to me. She then said okay we are going to leave the room and I said no I am going to leave. I have never had a physician that was so condescending. Be aware that the assistant are not the best either. I had already gotten my Covid test in the middle of this and the physician said okay let’s get her a Covid test. The assistant said nothing. I had to speak up and say she already did a Covid test on me. It was a very unprofessional experience.

My wife brought my 3 year old daughter with a nursemaid elbow. For those who don't know, nursemaid elbow is a dislocation that is very painful for a toddler but doctors quickly fix it in 5 seconds. The receptionist stated that there is an hour wait. My child was screaming and was obviously in agony. On any other day, I would never ask to jump ahead of anyone and I know that this facility is first come first serve but there is always an exception to every rule and a child in pain is one of them. The patient waiting ahead wouldn't have even minded. Not only did the receptionist/nurse Ratched refused but she was also very rude. She refused to even speak to a superior or a doctor. When my wife handed her the phone to speak to me, she cut me off and refused to speak to me. You know through out history people used "following the rules/following orders" to do horrible things. This receptionist failed to exercise any common sense or decency. She was very abrupt and failed to even sympathized with a mother and daughter who were in obvious distress. We took our daughter to another facility. I came here a few times before and even recommended this to others but know that changed. 9/10/21.

Came in a few weeks ago for a X-ray at about 10pm at night the lobby was crowded Mindy was the receptionist at the front desk by herself she was so sweet and patient with everyone. She informed me the wait time was over an hour and gave me the option to come back in the morning at 7:30am when the X-ray Tech arrives. I came at 7:15 the next morning and Mindy was at the front desk again by herself!! You can tell she was so tired with no support but she still made sure everyone that walked in was aided too. She got me in quick, I had an amazing experience. It was just upsetting to see her all alone, please hire more people like!! No one deserves to be overworked.

This place is a joke. A woman passed out in the middle of the waiting room and there was absolutely no response from the staff. This is a MEDICAL FACILITY and it was a patient - a veterinarian who happened to have her work bag - who tended to her. The woman hit her head during the fall yet it still took almost 10 minutes for anyone in the back to appear to help her. The receptionist did nothing. An ambulance arrived a minute after the CityMD staff materialized and finally took her back. I deeply wish it had gotten there earlier so she’d have had a chance at seeing a legitimate medical professional… I’d trust the paramedics over anyone in this office. Update: it seems the woman soiled herself during or as a result of the fall. Nurses or techs (I’m not sure which) openly complained and joked about this - in the woman’s presence - despite the severity of the situation and it likely being an extremely traumatizing situation for the patient. Just wow.

Came here sick complaining of a sore throat, fever, and almost passed out in the wait room multiple times. Was told I just had a cold and waved off any testing I asked for, extremely condescending doctor. Went to CVS MinuteClinic a little less than 48 hours later with a sustained fever of 102 and the same symptoms (but worse since I was physically and emotionally exhausted from being in this state for over 3 days). Immediately tested positive for a severe case of strep, and was told by the doctor my airway was pretty much swelled shut so it was bad for me to have gone this long without treatment. Thanks idiots. If I could give zero stars I would.

Had a great time at this location. Angel from the front desk was patient and caring despite having to deal with a rude patient ahead of me during busy hour. Dr. Polovenko was super nice as well. One of the nicest doctors I’ve talked to. Don’t know how this place get bad reviews. As long as you’re not a rude colossal karen, you’ll be treated well. Respect goes a long way!

The doctor who saw me was terrible. At baseline, he had absolutely no bedside manner whatsoever. Next, he ordered an x ray and I mentioned I did not think there were any bone issues with my arm (I was assaulted by way of punch to my arm a few nights prior). This was confirmed by the x rays which is fine. However I asked whether it could be nerve damage and was referred to an orthopedic surgeon. When I asked what could be done if it is nerve damage, the doctor was wholly unhelpful. He said sometimes it just heals, maybe physical therapy. I asked how long I should wait to see if the pain subsides before seeing the referral. He again provided no appropriate response, merely staying 1 week, 2 weeks, maybe 3. I had also gone in for a persistent cough that I’d had for about 5 weeks. I said I was worried it might be bronchitis and asked whether we could do or check anything. He said if it’s getting better, then it’s no big deal and that it’s just “human.” That is an absurd thing to tell a patient who’s come in concerned about chest, mucus filled coughs that have been there for 5 weeks. That this immediately followed the ridiculous assessment of my assault injury made it more infuriating. This was a complete waste of my time and money. However, the PA Steven (sp?) was incredibly nice, and made me feel comfortable. Unfortunately, that was followed by an unpleasant experience with the doctor.

Went in because I have a painful UTI. The experience in the facility was courteous and professional, I was prescribed a drug that caused an allergic reaction. Tried to get the ‘Sensitivity’ results of the organism so my own doctor could prescribe the right medication. Still waiting and it is 4 days. Calls for ‘AfterCare’ information seem to go to a call center in India or another 3rd world country were English is poorly spoken. Still waiting for the full report.

Went here for a sprained big toe. Everyone was so kind and nice to me and made me feel very welcomed and safe. I interacted with many staff members, and not a single one wasn’t nice. They were quick too. Got me an x ray and results were back in 10 minutes. Didn’t waste any time. Will def be going back here if I ever need to again! Best urgent care experience I’ve ever had.

You really will wait at least an hour any hour of the day you go - I’ve tried morning, noon, and night. The doctors are luck of the draw. Some are caring and patient about your visit. Others, may literally assert “It’s 11pm. We’re closed” as if you decided to wait for an hour to be seen. You’ll get the help you need. It won’t be bliss but you’ll get it.

First of all they collect tons of unnecessary data from you which is annoying. They made me wait in the waiting room while sick for over an hour before I was seen. Tries to be efficient but is quite the opposite. Also they don’t really give you care here. They just refer you out to other doctors. Scam business.

Was told I would be seen by a Doctor..turns out it was a PA(Physicians Assistant)..Big difference. The person who scheduled my scan botched the job so many times that if I didn't follow up on my own, I'd still be waiting to be seen at Imaging place. There's way to many chances for misunderstanding and mistakes from the person seeing you to the person doing the key tasks of ordering tests/scans. Very scary when you think about it. Also after my results came back I didn't hear from them even though I had been told some "panel" would review the results and get back to me. Probably because they don't even have the qualified staff to provide any feedback of significance. Way to leave your patients dangling in the wind. Clearly the front office and "medical" staff are using different playbooks. If you're considering going to this place for anything more than a Covid Test, you might want to reconsider. Never going back there again..

Absolutely terrible service. Went on Tuesday to get a Covid PCR test. Specifically asked for that. Because I wasn’t feeling well but the home test was negative. They did both rapid and PCR, told me the rapid came back positive. The doctor didn’t even listen to my lungs, didn’t even approach me. Just told me that “it will be like a cold if your are vaccinated” and “take Tylenol”. Then, I kept checking their Summit app for PCR confirmation- nothing. Finally called the location on Friday and was told my PCR specimen was never even sent out!!! They just decided not to bother as the rapid came back positive!!! But what if that was false? Plus I went specifically to get a PCR test. And they without asking me or informing me just unilaterally decided that they’re we’re not going to bother to provide that kind of confirmation! What kind of care is this??? Just so they can save money? Terrible. Absolutely terrible! Lazy doctors. Lazy stuff.

Pretty pricey if you don’t have insurance ($225) then they didn’t mention that on top of that any tests they do will be billed to you after your visit. For that $225 I got to sit in a room with no updates for so long the lights shut off on me in the room. And then again before anyone came in. When I finally did see the doctor he seemed like he was in such a rush he had no interest in bedside care. Asked me what I thought was wrong and didn’t seem interested in actually discussing any other possibilities. Did not give any real advice on what to do going forward since I was there because I had a fever for over 4 days straight other than just keep resting and taking fluids. If you have any alternative to this place I would suggest going there. You receive very little care for your money.

Some locations of City MD are hit or miss, I strongly recommend this one for cleanliness, timing, and kind staff. I was able to get an appt right away, and at least on the day I went it was not busy so I did not wait more than 5min to see a provider.

Very unprofessional. Used to have good experiences here but something seems to changed recently. Getting them to do their jobs is like pulling teeth now. The PA said he sent a prescription but didn't, and supposedly didn't even put it in my chart. (I never talked to a doctor, I don't know whether they actually had one present.) When I called to find out what was going on, one of the receptionists kept me on hold for over 15 minutes with no intention of getting back to me - I had to physically go back into the office to actually get her to talk to someone - she didn't seem especially busy and didn't seem particularly happy to see me. Anyway, this is no way for a business to treat its customers. I've been a repeat customer because of positive experiences with their service previously, but sadly things have changed dramatically so I will go elsewhere in the future.

Well…I went on Sunday and saw the hour long wait and left. Came back Monday and had to come back 2 additional times to get the staff to successfully send my prescriptions… not the most professional outfit. I take it back…I’m here a 4th time trying to get my antibiotics. They simply can’t Do it…and I won’t pay either. I didn’t get a service. It can’t be legal to see patients and refuse to send the antibiotics for treatment. Looking into malpractice lawyers now…

I have consistently had A+ experiences at this location. Front desk is courteous and efficient. Each time I’ve visited the medical assistants were kind and thorough. I’ve had excellent experiences with the physicians and most recently the physician assistant who treated me. Medical staff were very professional.

The worst experience ever. I came with the glass in my foot and they did not even clean the wound. I was told to make an x-ray within 48h- when I came to the clinic they told me that first I need to be checked once again by the doctor that will advise if I should have an x-ray, even though I came within 48h. The waitlist for the doctor appointment was 1h and I did not get the x-ray. The receptionist was very rude and they did not listen to me at all. I would never recommend this clinic.

I had the flu last Wednesday and went to this urgent care. The gentleman who saw me was a PA when I asked him how much things cost he said don’t worry your insurance will cover it. I now have a $211 bill. I am unsure the name of the PA but if I had it, I would give him a one star review as well. Terrible service, shady business.

Great experience going to CityMD. I was very sick with a septic infection, and they saw me very quickly and promptly referred me to a hospital ER. I spent 2 days in hospital. The care at CityMD was very good and expedited.

After feeling symptomatic and testing positive for COVID at home, I went to CityMD at 336 E 86th St. to test there. I wanted to get started on Paxlovid before symptoms escalated, as I am prone to bronchitis caused by even a small cold. My rapid test came back negative, despite my positive home test. I asked for another one, as previously my wife came to CityMD with COVID and tested negative the first time, then positive after I requested a second test for her. I was told no, it would just come back negative and was given a PCR test and sent home to wait two days for the results. On my way home I picked up another brand of home test and tested positive at home again. I tested positive yet again the following morning and went back to CityMD for another test. My symptoms were getting worse and I did not want to wait another day for the PCR results before getting Paxlovid. I tested negative again, after three positive home tests. Even the doctor said she believed I had COVID but because of the negative results in the office, was unable to prescribe Paxlovid. So there I sit the next day , even more symptomatic, looking at the POSITIVE result from the PCR test. Naturally, I am, and will be telling everyone who will listen that CityMD either receives batches of bad COVID rapid tests that don't even measure up to what you can buy at the corner store, or these tests are intentionally calibrated to only detect more severe infection. From where I sit, the answer can only be one of the two, and either way, CityMD is jeopardizing the health of patients coming in for COVID testing and treatment.

Terrible experience with CITYMD: The doctor prescribed pain medication to my 84th year old dad after a really bad fall in the shower. The pharmacy never got the prescription, and I went back to the urgent care to see what went wrong. They told me they had sent it, but that I needed to call the after-care number as they have closed the billing. The agent on the phone told me that I needed to take him again to the urgent care to be re-evaluated. This means that I had to pay for the visit again $225 (Out of pocket visit), so they can re-send the prescription. Terrible experience!!!

Thoughtful and wise care from Dr Pamela Love and the team at this CityMD. When my 98 year old mother fell, we headed to CityMD, for a quick assessment with xray.  We were quickly seen, by DrLove, who gently and carefully examined mom. Her warm manner and good communication skills, kept us relaxed and receptive to the news that her arm was likely broken.  With CityMDs onsite xray capability, that diagnosis was quickly confirmed.  Dr Love, fitted Mom with  brace and instructions to see an orthopedist ASAP. We were out of there, within 45 minutes.  Amazing! Mom's orthopedist, after examining mom's arm and reviewing the CItyMD's xray CD, pronounced her care and instructions from DrLove,  to be exactly right.  For now, no surgery or cast needed, we go back in two weeks to the ortho, but the brace from DrLove, is all she needs.

I went because of severe trouble breathing. I have asthma. After a very short wait, I was seen and eventually three technicians and one doctor took a my blood pressure, oxygen level and temperature and an exray and the doctor listened to my lungs then prescribed some inhalation and two medications. They spent about an hour with me and every courteous and efficient.

My boyfriend and I went in last minute for a rapid COVID test at 9:30 pm in order to attend a sporting event the next day. CityMD got us in within 5 minutes. We were tested and out the door within 15. The whole staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The office was pristine and felt very spacious. Will absolutely be going back and would recommend to anyone else looking for an urgent care center.

In a time of stretched EDs this is a much needed service, but only if provided as well as was done. Congratulations on a difficult outpatient medical issue from a Doctor’s Doctor. Job well done! I choose this over other urgent cares. They distinguish themselves by training. If they get busy, it is a sign of societal need and not an insult to those who can’t distinguish urgent access to healthcare from fast food service.

I am giving them a 1star today because, they actually called people before me that checked in after me, and when I questioned them about how does the order go, by urgency or check in the receptionist said check in. YET I’m still waiting in the waiting area, is this bc I’m “Afro-American”and everyone called ahead of me were “White”. She told me someone would be coming to get me in a second yet I had enough time to write this review and still wasn’t called. Nothing changes in society today I see!! UNBELIEVABLE!! Clearly there was no logical explanation while I I still sitting here.nor did the receptionist get up to check and see what the delay or problem was.

Walked in and thought there was a line to talk to a receptionist, but realized that wasn’t the case. The receptionists that were free were on their phones and didn’t even notice me. They looked at me funny when I walked up. They didn’t take my information, but told me to go check in at one of the iPads across the room. Then I was told the wait would be an hour to see someone. What’s worse is the phone line doesn’t really have an option to just talk to a receptionist so you can find out this information before you walk over. Not entirely sure what the women there are being paid for.

Have used a few times. Always friendly; seem to know what they're doing; at one point the front desk took care of the check-in, rather than deal with the kiosks (we needed it then). Definitely better than the E.R. All medical encounters should work as well.

Recommend this location to a friend havind issues with her ear being clogged. Went with her after raving to her about the service, shw waited a while to be seen only for them to send her out with a dropper and a cup of peroxide (basically for her to do their job). Then, told her that her ear was too clogged and they couldn't help her. Then, they referred her to an E&T. They basically didn't want to do their job because it was getting close to closing. This was so unprofessional and I was so disappointed that I raved about their service. I felt so bad for her that I found another urgent care open until midnight, and thank God for Dr. Miller and his entire staff at the 88th Street and Broadway location. Not only were they super welcoming, but they did the job without hesitation or excuses, and they were very professional.

The staff were polite enough. But the prognosis I was given meant I had to isolate pending test results. Initial isolation period has come and gone and no test results. Was told to continue to isolate. In the meantime do I just not go to work? Hope that my employer takes my word for it since I have no documentation for the further isolation demand? It doesn't take a week for a lab to test a blood sample. I'm certain the result was lost or the sample was insufficient for testing. Also, your info takes several days to be added to the portal. Don't go here unless you know exactly what's wrong with you. And the sign in process is completely ridiculous.

I visited twice this location for Covid testing in December 2021 when the Omicron variant was spreading in the US. The first time I was not admitted due to full capacity of the clinic. The second time I went and waited in line before they opened (the clinic was opening at 9am and I was there at 8:40am). They wrote down my cell phone and they texted me 2 hours later. While I was waiting in the clinic, I realised that at 11:30am (2.5 hours only after opening) they were not admitting any more people for Covid testing, even though there was no line outside. The nurse asked about the reason of the visit, I told her that I was exposed to someone that has tested positive 3 days ago and wanted both rapid and PCR tests to be performed and she said ok. Then, the doctor came in and she told me that the PCR wouldn’t be accurate in my case and that it should be taken 8-10 days after exposure. When I started asking more questions, she replied in a rude way “you are positive” and left the room. I had already informed all my close contacts when I received a call from City MD 2 hours later. The person calling is informing me that there was a glitch in the system and I was actually negative....When I starting asking questions and whether I need to do a PCR, the person calling puts me on hold. Then, the doctor comes on the phone and tells me that I was positive again..Such a mess, I will get tested somewhere else again.

Do not go to CityMD if you are looking to be treated properly. I went to CityMD on a Tuesday with a 102 fever and headache, was tested for covid/flu (both negative) and then told I had another virus going around and to take OTC meds and rest. I did just that and my symptoms kept getting worse. I went back two days later and, in very obvious distress, was kept in the waiting room for an hour before seeing the same PA (Sam). She seemed annoyed I was back and told me to be patient, of course I was still having symptoms of it was only day three of an illness, even though my symptoms had worsened (now inclusive of a dry cough and even more fatigue). I went home and overnight the symptoms worsened yet again, and I ultimately went to the ER. I was diagnosed with double big pneumonia and the doctors were impressed I was still walking/breathing on my own. It had become so severe at this point because I had been suffering for days as it worsened. If CityMD had done a simple chest x-ray (which they have a facility for), this could have been caught sooner. Instead the PA chose to speak to me in a condescending manner and send me home with improper guidance. I will NEVER trust CityMD again and do not recommend them whatsoever.

I was the 1st patient of the day and was treated with a lot of kindness despite my flustered mood from being very sick. Everyone from the FD to the assistants to the PA i saw was very lovely. I was prescribed the right medication and feel better already. I know Urgent Cares can be quite touch and go but this is a great one.

The doctor didn’t take the time or effort to check my toddler’s ears and regardless, he misdiagnosed her with an ear infection and prescribed antibiotics. My daughter wasn’t complaining of ear pain either, the reason I took her there is because I suspected she may have strep throat and needed to get her tested but her pediatrician’s office was closed. I find it not only unprofessional but also very irresponsible to diagnosed someone so carelessly.

I visited the facility to get a COVID test. Very nice, clean facility. Check-in was easy via a tablet. Fast service, courteous staff and results were received very fast via email. In addition, they sent followup emails to ensure my well-being.

The doctor and staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The office is clean and bright. We waited less than 10 minutes. Can’t get better than that!

I went there when I had a UTI and no doctor of mine would or could see me for weeks. I was treated right away by a wonderful doctor, given a starter antibiotic right there and the balancebof the prescription was called into the CVS on the corner. I felt better by the next day. The doctor was great!

The staff was efficient from the front desk to the physician. I didn't feel pressured for payment. They genuinely cared and made sure my daughter was comfortable. I appreciate you caring for my loved one which eased my anxiety. I've been to many CityMD's but this one was subpar!!

Every step from checkin-in to the time doctor came and examine, it was fast, efficient and professional. I left the facility feeling so good to know that every single person I came in contact with was kind, caring and concerned for my well being. Thank goodness, I feel better. Thank you so much.

I was charged twice out of no reason. During the visit nobody did anything and they charged me 225 in total, no one told me there would be more charge. Later I receive another bill telling me I should pay around $300 more just for a blood test, the normal price is $100 in other places or even cheaper. I called them and all of the departments in cityMD said the $225 was just for the visit and I should pay extra. They even didn't ask for my name when they say so. I am sure they charge everyone like this again and again, that's why they do this automatically without knowing who I am. And I will face a claim very soon if the second payment is delayed. I will never go this place again.

Doctors were very nice, and professional. Had a good sense of humor. They solved the problem in 20 seconds. The nurse was very efficient.

Daniela from billing department was rude , sarcastic , moody and overall no professional at all she refused to give me the name of her supervisors , or to transfer the call to her superiors. She couldn't help me with any information. She needs to learn how to be professional. Supervisor won't even know what's going on.

Signing up was fast and easy, the person at the front desk was professional, kind, pans understanding. The doctor took the time that was necessary to talk through treatment options. Great experience!
