😠 I’ve been trying to solve an issue with Mount Sinai for a month now and is insane how unethical and unprofessional they have been with me. They have charged me extra money and no one can explain me what was the charge for. Every time I call, it’s an excuse and that someone will call me. No one ever... People often mention appointment, call, doctor, office, time, visit, called, video, told, insurance,

I’ve been trying to solve an issue with Mount Sinai for a month now and is insane how unethical and unprofessional they have been with me. They have charged me extra money and no one can explain me what was the charge for. Every time I call, it’s an excuse and that someone will call me. No one ever does and I have to keep doing the same thing all over again and it has been A MONTH now. I won’t stop calling until they give my money back and I will never go back to any of their doctors again.

This morning, I accidentally mixed up my appointment for MD Mekdes. This was my first time at the 200 west 57 street location. Unfortunately, I encountered a rude receptionist name Annie. I told her I received a called yesterday and definitely forgot to recheck mychart. She stated " You probably didn't listen properly"-- her statement was inappropriate and unnecessary. I cancel my real appointment for the 30th. Definitely not returning-- not the travel or unprofessionalism.

A total disaster. My doctor gave me a referral to see the allergist. It took me multiple phone calls to their office before getting an appointment. Has to call my doctor to help set the appointment. Finally saw the allergist who was very nice but was told I needed a test that they would call me to set an appointment . They left a message last week (after over a month of my original visit) and left a message to call back to confirm my availability for the exam next week. Called back and whomever answered had no clue. A total disaster.

On hold 4 times for one hour and they hang up instead of picking up. Needed directions and because of this I missed my appointment, the doctors themselves are great, the problem is with the phone system I think

Pretty horrendous management of a company insurance error. Made me put my clothes on and leave in the middle of my visit. Offered a reduced visit rate to be seen by the doctor and said that I should pay now and get it reimbursed by my employer (which didn't make sense since that rate was much higher than the copay would be) Main issue: they refused to bill me the charges. I had to pay on the spot or leave which is ridiculous. 24 hours later my insurance fixed the issue. They could have ran the insurance today. Or billed it. I'll never be back here or recommend them for their lack of caring and service.

Office staff and NPs are friendly. Doctor staff exhibits rampant fatphobia. If you are an overweight person seeking medical care and want to be treated like a human do not go here.

I will never go back here and I recommend that you do not go either. Having to wait for two hours with a UTI infection and never seeing a doctor is unacceptable. I had a UTI so I made an appointment. I left work and sat in the office for two hours and was never seen. For about 45 of those minutes I sat in the office with my pants off waiting for the doctor. I finally left because I had to be back at work. That night I was up all night in pain from the UTI. I even started to bleed it had gotten so bad. I had to make another appointment at a different doctor the following day and had to miss more work, all the while in a lot of pain and discomfort. I hope no one has to go through what I went through.

I agree with the other reviewers - the office staff is terrible. I just spent 20 minutes on the phone to make an urgent appointment. I was transferred 3 times, once without any warning, and finally hung up on. I'll see my doctor one more time because it's urgent, but think I'll see a Weill-Cornell doctor that a friend recommended from now on. Hopefully it's not a race to the bottom for the 3 medical groups that control NYC. Updating to add that I waited an hour to be called and another 30 minutes in the exam room. Then I went searching for someone to explain the wait. The office manager explained that there was an emergency and only one provider in the office. While I'm sympathetic about emergencies (my appointment was urgent and likely effected the schedule too), after 1.5 hours that's too little, too late. I left without being seen because I needed to get to a meeting. As a side note, multiple patients came and went while I was waiting so obviously there is more than one provider. The staff was general unsympathetic to my urgent matter. I called a doctor at Weill Cornell and they urged me to go to urgent care immediately meanwhile this office won't see me while I'm there. I wish I had called Weill Cornell first and not wasted a day on this practice. Now I have to wait until Monday or pay $$$ for urgent care.

The doctor is wonderful. The PA is great too. The administrative staff is an absolute dumpster fire. Good luck getting anyone on the phone to make an appointment. They cancel and reschedule appointments constantly with very little warning. They repeatedly bill the insurance incorrectly so you end up with a surprise bill you need to fix. Need a prescription pre-approval? Good luck getting anyone on the phone. Have fun spending days trying to speak to someone to get the prescription filled while they're calling the wrong insurance, trying to get your doctor to change the prescription even though the insurance didn't require it, or literally ignoring the situation entirely. Honestly, dealing with these people is an absolute nightmare. I'd rather call the cable company.

THE BERLIN 🧱 WALL Once upon a time, there was a man named Morgan who lived in West Berlin during the Cold War. He had a medical condition that required him to see his doctor on the other side of the Berlin Wall in East Berlin. But getting through to his doctor was impossible, or so he thought sarcastically Morgan decided to take matters into his own hands and came up with a plan. He went to a hardware store and bought some wire cutters, a ladder, and a disguise. He waited until nightfall and snuck up to the wall. He carefully climbed the ladder and used the wire cutters to snip a hole in the barbed wire fence. He then put on his disguise and walked through the hole into East Berlin. Once he was on the other side, he walked to his doctor's office. He was nervous that someone would recognize him, but he made it to the doctor's office without incident. The doctor was surprised to see Morgan but was happy to treat him. After his appointment, Morgan made his way back to the wall. He climbed back through the hole and patched it up as best he could. He then returned to his home in West Berlin. Morgan felt proud of himself for getting through to his doctor, even though it was impossible sarcastically. He knew that he had taken a big risk, but it was worth it to get the medical treatment he needed. From then on, he made a habit of sneaking into East Berlin for his appointments. He was careful to avoid detection, but he never gave up on getting the care he needed. Tear down that 🧱 Wall !

Not only was the receptionist rude, Dr. Huang told me she couldn't let me know if I had any vaginal infections on my annual, annuals are not for that I would have to make a different appointment(never heard that ever). She called me a few days after and told me I may have cancer. But i can not test for that for another 3 wks bc she is going on vacation. When I spoke to her at the appointment her explanation was WAY better and not as alarming as her call. The doctor and the office could be way more professional. I go to Viva Eve now and I LOVE THEM.

I was billed $470.00 for a visit to my PCP for specific issues including a serious allergy causing hives that an allergist, who saw me via tele-health, recommended I see in addition for extra tests. Medicare refused payment because the visit was coded as an Annual Wellness checkup which it was not.

I was scheduled for a video visit for a follow-up to an allergy test. Sounds easy enough. I went into MyChart to check in. They ask you to pay a co-pay before you're allowed to see your doctor for the video appointment. The co-pay section of the check-in is completely broken. I get put on hold on the phone for 30+ minutes to be told that, "Oh yeah, people have been experiencing that. You'll need to contact the platform directly to figure out payment." They don't accept co-pay over the phone. DO NOT AUTOMATE AN ENTIRE SYSTEM TO THE POINT OF NOT HAVING A PLAN B. That's wildly embarrassing for a major hospital in a city filled with other options. You've been warned...

No service! Horrible experience, they don't care. I was left sick, with no attendance and no medication. All I needed was 1 min follow up video call with Dr Packianathan, every 6 months, so she can send prescription to the pharmacy. Beyond frustrated experience to have a simple video call. I am an IT engineer. They send schedule and messages through "MyChart" app and after scheduled and paid through the app, the video call button simply doesn't work! When I click "begin visit", it opens Safari browser app and says "browser not supported". I even tried Chrome without success. Spoke with front desk who asked to give it a try with a different app "mymountsinai"?? I never received information about how to do a video call through them. I downloaded and tried same login as they told me so. It says "invalid" information when I input my information and even try to reset password. Platforms simply don't work. I also spoke to front desk who could not solve and didn't know how to solve this issue and could not help me with anything, they didn't know what they were doing. They put the blame on me saying that I had login issues and could call the app's IT support, but I was already logged into "MyChart". I also asked if Dr could call me instead and they said no, the only way is a video call, but their video call does not work, "begin video" does not work! It's a horrible experience as a client. So much trouble to just have a 1min call that didn't happen. It's 2021 and this office in midtown Manhattan is unable to service and support what they sell. I am looking for another provider who can help me. I feel helpless. This place is a joke. You can’t believe it gets worse. I called them requesting my medical records and test results a few days later. They said a rep will call me back within 2 hours. No one called the entire day. Why making false promises? I visited the office personally the next day and they said they should have told me I have to fill a form, failed again. I filled the form onsite and it took a week to receive the email.

After seeing the negative reviews here, I was worried about my mammo/sono appointment, but it was the only choice. Everyone was lovely, from the receptionist to the technicians, who were warm, respectful and as gentle as humanly possible. This is my first Google review. I'm not questioning that the other reviewers had bad experiences, but I thought I should share my positive experience. These tests are stressful. Nothing should add to that.

I felt very disrespected of my time. I waited 30 minutes for my appointment with Amy Wong (taking time off from work to accommodate) and even after that point they had no idea how long it would it take, so I went to the front desk to cancel my appointment. No one apologized or even offered some type of resolution, even though I expressed the inconvenience and frustration.

The scheduling department is a MESS. I scheduled a simple imaging test. First I was told the next available appointment wasn't for over a month, but when my referring doctor called them suddenly something was available the next week. I scheduled my visit, spoke with someone to confirm three days before, and then got a call less than 24 hours before my visit saying they wanted to cancel it. WHAT? I eventually convinced them to let me keep it. When I called to cancel a follow up appointment it wasn't properly cancelled and I got yet another call to confirm. The appointment itself was mediocre. Close to on time and the facility was fine...but the technician was lukewarm at best (when I asked a question about my scan she just coldly said "I'm not allowed to tell you anything" - she was NOT interested in small talk to keep me calm) and the radiologist I met with showed a lack of compassion and seemed rushed when I started crying. Overall, not a big fan of this operation, but, I guess they got the job done.

I would recommend you look elsewhere. My main issue with this location is the administrative staff. I specifically asked them to review my health insurance to make sure everything was covered under my plan. They said it was. Two weeks later, I receive a bill showing that only a portion was actually covered. This is fine, since insurance plans offer different rates, but I would have liked to know this information before engaging in any services. When I try to contact the office for an explanation, no response, but they can keep sending automated messages to collect the amount due. Overall, the quality of service is fine, but you could probably get the same elsewhere. First and last time coming to this location, and definitely left a bad impression for the Mount Sinai brand. EDIT: Downgraded to 1 Star. This is more specifically for eye exams, maybe for other doctors as well, but they charge you based on the amount of time you spend in their facilities. I noticed I was charged for additional time, since I was asking questions throughout. It saddens me to know this establishment cares more about the dollars then their actual patients. Unless you want to drain your bank account, please go somewhere else. You’ve been warned.

I was attacked by four people . They punched me and kicked me . My right eye got so swallowed that it closed , I was bleeding . They took me to the Mount Sinai Emergency room on 57 TH street .Don’t go there . I have been to emergency rooms before and this is by far the worst . I was put in a very small room and suddenly three more patients came to the room and none of them was wearing masks . Masks were no required . They saw my eye was extremely swollen and I needed an ice pack . Nope. Nobody spoke to me besides the person who interviewed me when I arrived. I waited and the staff started arguing in front of us about the number of patients that have been admitted . After a long wait I just decided to leave . The one star goes to the security guard who didn’t stop me . The only one who showed some kindness . 🙄

😠 Listen to all the reviews! This office is definitely a scam. I went as a new patient for a simple physical exam and I got labs and chest X-ray done. I was told all this would be covered on this visit. Lo and behold I was charged $50 for the chest X-ray, fine I paid it. Few weeks later I got a bill f...
