🫤 People are great, but they switched to a “make everyone wait outside in line” instead of “check in and we will text you when to come back” because from a business perspective they feared it was bringing business down. Now you have dozens and dozens of sick people waiting down the block in 40 degree... People often mention care, doctor, time, staff, medical, test, desk, service, needed, CityMD,

I visited them on 12/20/2023. They were very respectful and kind. I saw Dr.Sarah Baker who was very professional, compassionate and friendly. The front desk is very helpful with everyone. They have x-ray service in this branch, so you don’t need to go any branch to have an xray if needed. The referrals are dealt with very seriously and appointments for specialists are given with ease. Update on 12/22/2023, After care gave me difficult time more than one hour on the phone to change my medication to a covered one and they refused to give me the same quantity the initial doctor gave me. I ended eventually going to ER in severe pain.

I went for a COVID-19 test. The nurse swab my nose, but afterwards, she had to take my temperature and blood pressure. The worse part was when she told me that the doctor had to see me. The doctor spent 10 SECONDS, you read that right, TEN SECONDS, in the room. I guess that that is the way they make more money. The "doctor" was needed, so the insurance will pay more. Dishonest. Updating my review and changing my "stars" - Got two co-payments from City MD. Both for $35.00. One is okay, but Two? When I called, after 45 minutes trying to speak with someone, a guy by the name Aron (at least it was what he said), couldn't find the charges. All over sudden, he found them and told me that $35.00 was for the lab test, and $35.00 for the unnecessary "doctor" that spent 10 seconds in the room. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, he said that it was impossible. That supervisor don't speak to the public and that my request had to approved by the supervisor's boss, and then, if it was worth, a supervisor will contact me. I believe that I will be waiting for my entire life. Robbery! Dishonesty!

I would like to preface this review with the 1-star rating not being for this location, but for CityMD as a whole. I visited this location on Tuesday exhibiting symptoms of streptococcal pharyngitis, commonly known as strep throat. My rapid test was negative, but a culture was sent out and this morning my portal showed that my culture was positive for strep. I was left a voicemail around 8AM letting me know that they would like to discuss my options with me and gave me a phone number to call back. I have never regretted missing a phone call so much in my life. As soon as I woke up around 8:30AM, I called back for the first time. I waited on hold for 30 minutes before calling this location about obtaining a prescription, to which I was directed to another number where I waited for almost two hours. After giving up I took a break and called back the original number twice this afternoon and waited over an hour and thirty minutes. Not once did I receive a follow-up phone call from the original message early this morning. I had to reach out to another physician to get them to call in the prescription for me because CityMD had left me out to dry. Strep is so common that people forget that if left untreated there can be severe consequences. The Pennsylvania Department of Health published a document in which it stated, "[a]lthough rare, severe cases of strep can cause pneumonia, organ failure, long-term heart problems, life- threatening skin infection, arm/leg amputations, and death." Additionally, I am also extremely contagious until I receive antibiotics for at least 24 hours. Luckily, I am young and have been able to fight off this infection as best as I can and I have been able to reach out to other medical professionals who can get me the help I need. However, CityMD should be ashamed of the way they treated me as a patient. This will be my first and last time going to any CityMD. If you need to actually receive medical help I would not recommend CityMD, unless all of your needs do not require any sort of follow-up from your initial visit. Again, I am sad this review is tainting this specific site because the staff were quite nice to me, however this was truly astonishing treatment from a provider who could not care less if I got the treatment I needed. I am shocked.

Used to love this place, now that make you wait in the sun for an hour if you want a test. Totally irresponsible and Dangerous. Get a test elsewhere.

The worst walk in The front desk chatting. Went for a Covid test Monday for a procedure Friday. Still no results. Was the first one on line Monday morning at 745. I didn’t get out until 845. Ridiculous

I went to get checked out for Flu or Covid as I had all the symptons. I told the front desk staff I'd been to this location several times so my info should be on file. Nonetheless I had to check in and fill out forms. I attempted to use the phone/scan but had difficulty. When I pointed out this to the lady checking me in she impatiently handed me a clipboard and said "Do this then." Okay. Filled out the forms and handed them back. ONE HOUR later I'd noticed three people who arrived after I did being called to see the one doctor on duty. I approached the front desk and inquired about this. "How did you check in ?" I was asked. I checked in with the lady that was here, I replied. "No, HOW did you check in ?" I was asked again. Turns out that because I had filled out the paper documents handed to me, that took extra time to process and people arriving later using the scan method were all going ahead of me. I requested my $40 co-pay be refunded in cash and was told to "Sit down" while that was processed. You may ask somebody to "Have a seat" but being told to "Sit down" after being ignored was beyond the pale. Ridiculous customer service and horribly trained staff who very obviously hate their jobs and want YOU to know it. I went to the location on 40th & Madison shortly after and received excellent service from the moment I entered.

Front desk staff was attentive and helpful, but not the same can be said about the provider I saw. I had been unable to hold down fluids for 8 hours when I arrived. They did not give me an IV bag and only an anti-nausea shot. And the anti-nausea given can have life threatening side effects with my other medications. I wouldn’t come back to this location for this sort of thing, and would only go for minor injuries or illnesses.

Last week I had a severe laceration on my hand and went to CityMd. It is rare to meet such a caring, knowledgeable doctor as Dr. Baker. Not only did she care for the wound,, but she called for an Uber, paid for it, and walked me to the car that was going to take me to the ER. She felt I should see a hand surgeon first. This doctor restored my faith in the belief that people are very kind. Once again, thank you Dr. Baker, and CityMD. I will never forget your kindness.

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled based on the excellent care I received at CityMd 3rd ave location last week, they were so pleasant and kind when I was felt unwell. Seriously the most pleasant urgent care visit I've had! The clinic was clean and the check-in/walk-in process was really simple. Would highly recommend.

I was seen by a doctor whose name I couldn't quite make out on her ID card - it looked like surname Mithani or Mishani. She was curt, abrupt and rude. She did not listen to me and interrupted me 5 times before I stopped counting. This doctor's bedside manner prevented me from feeling comfortable and destroyed any trust I might have had in her. She told me she wanted to order chest X-rays, an EKG and other tests after listening to my heart and determining "Your lungs are clear." I gently asked the reasons for these tests and she couldn't really provide an answer, other than to say to determine whether I needed to go to the ER for a heart attack. I said we both were probably in agreement I was not having a heart attack and she interrupted me and ignored me. I politely informed her that I felt uncomfortable, didn't feel I was being listened to and asked if I might ask a question uninterrupted and her response was, "Are you refusing medical care? Are you saying you don't want to be assessed? Do you only want a COVID test?" That is not at all what I said and I felt at that point, she was only being combative and it was time for me to leave. Had I been seriously ill or actually at risk of a heart attack, the doctor's poor manners and refusal to provide proper medical care could have caused serious harm. This is very disappointing. Additionally, the over prescription of unnecessary tests is hardly a positive either.

The visit during this pandemic required a bit of patience due to the huge demand/number of patients. After arriving early in the AM and leaving name & number, got a text message asking to return for the visit/examination. The Physician's Assistant that attended to me was EXCELLENT. Very professional, cautious and understanding. Since the PA was not familiar with my medical history, we discussed my immediate concerns and other medical factors. Even with the large number of patients requiring attention, the PA (Michael Bentley) did not rush my examination, ensured I understood his diagnosis and the testing recommended, included a short discussion of communicating my visit to my primary care physician. Once completed and I departed, I left with the feeling that the care was excellent, professional, personal and well done.

honestly should be 0/5 but that option isn’t available. tldr: terrible care, no solutions, invalidated patient, ordered unnecessarily expensive tests Visited urgent care for knee related injury; did not give me time to ask questions, did not answer the few questions I did have, ordered unnecessary, expensive tests, offered no explanation/solutions for the problem afterward, didn’t refer me to a specialist after saying that they would. had to call them myself to find out the physician didn’t put an order in at all. would never go back, only redeeming quality was the professionalism of the front desk staff, despite the atrocious treatment

horrible customer service: disorganized and will put you on hold for 33 minutes!!! I went in the clinic due to a bad stomachache. they ran a bunch of tests and the doctor said its all good. a month later, i log into the quest diagnostic website to check the result and find out one thing they tested is not normal. i was surprised that the doctor told me that it was all good back then. second, when i tried to call in, the admin has no idea how to reach their doctor and she said she would put me on hold for over half an hour!!!! AWEFUL! I called them again, and the person who picked up the phone just hung up on me when i asked them nicely to leave a message to the physician. what kind of service is this?!!???? CityMD as a whole is horrible at customer service!!!!!!!!!! Shame!!!!!!!!

The staff at this shop is so nice, from the front desk to the medical assistants and even the doctors and PAs. Everything is explained, they take their time, do the necessary tests right there, including x-rays. This is my 2nd visit in 4 months w/a respiratory issue, and both times the doc or PA made sure what they prescribed would not react w/meds I'm on for chronic problems. It's nice not having to ask as frequently, docs don't always remember to do that.

Professional and courteous staff. Comfortable waiting area. Short wait time. Quick and accurate diagnosis with treatment plan provided. Office has capability to perform required tests. Prescriptions sent to your pharmacy until you can reach your own doctor. No reason to stay at home worrying about your symptoms and what until you can reach your doctor if you go to CityMD.

receptionist was very nice and welcoming as well as the nurse. i explained to the nurse my symptoms and she explained to the doctor. the doctor didn’t check me. he didn’t use his stethoscope or checked my throat or ears. he walked in and said your symptoms seem viral. just take over the counter stuff and walked right out. i ended up going to a different urgent care that wasn’t a City MD around where i live, because i felt terrible. Fever, Throat was hurting and they did multiple test on me and i was prescribed some things. i had a better experience there than at City MD

DO NOT go here. Needed a note from a Doctor to get a Standing Adjustable Desk at work for bad back. Doctor was Unwilling to even come into the room & say Hello! Didn't provide me with Note. Nothing. Most unhelpful experience with Healthcare i've ever had. Awful experience.

Hope you don’t have a real medical issue that needs attention because you won’t be able to be seen since all the available time slots for the day will have already been taken by people who want to get a covid test.

They make you show up to make an appt and then you have to show up within a window right after to do anything (not just covid). Literally not urgent care

I’ve been to this location several times and I think they’re great. Staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. I see other reviews on here complaining about wait times, but that’s true for really any medical office. Also, it seems to be significantly less busy than other city MD locations.

GET IN WRITING THAT YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED IF YOU HAVE INSURANCE. City MD told me they would not charge me for anything because I was covered under golden rule insurance. 5 months later they bill me HEAVY. My insurance covers $125 per visit and I was left to pay for $125. I mentioned this on the social media, and the only person who responded was a random FB account saying I seemed fake. I went to the profile, the WOMEN WHO POSTED WORKS AT CITY MD. Had to send screenshots to prove this. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

Whatever you do, try to avoid seeing Mithani Naushina as your provider. Multiple pieces of information she gave me seemed odd, so I checked with my standard provider in another state, who advised me that this doctors advice was wildly inaccurate and not medically based.

The front desk staff are extremely rude. They just argued with a patient in a desperate situation who came 6 minutes after 7pm - which is apparently their closing time. But on both Google Maps and Apple Maps, it clearly says 8pm!

Front desk and nurses are very nice, however the providers are very hit or miss. I needed forms completed for my clinical rotation, and needed just my MMR results and a signature. The doctor proceeded to give me the most lazy “physical” I’ve ever seen to make sure I can work which I’m sure I will be charged for since they typically aren’t covered by insurance. If she was going to perform it, shouldn’t she have checked my height, weight, eyes, blood pressure, sensation, and do general strength and ROM screens? As someone going into the healthcare field, just seems like taking advantage of a broke college kid to me.

I visited this urgent care center for a leg infection, expecting professional care. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The physician assistant I saw named Naushina Mithani displayed a level of rudeness and abruptness that left me feeling uncomfortable. During my initial visit, when I sought to understand my condition better, Naushina responded to my questions with a sarcastic and condescending tone. This not only made the environment unwelcoming but also made me hesitant to ask further questions about my health. I was prescribed antibiotics at the end of the initial visit, but due to swelling the next day, I felt compelled to return. Instead of reassurance or a thorough examination, Naushina Mithani hastily decided to send me to the Emergency Room, and stated that my condition was very concerning. This abrupt decision, made without detailed explanation, caused unnecessary panic and inconvenience. Upon reaching the ER, the assessment by the medical team there was starkly different. The PA and doctors at the ER informed me that the swelling was a normal reaction to the infection and reassured me that it typically takes 24-48 hours for antibiotics to show their effect. This conflicting advice not only contradicted the urgent care PA’s alarming directive but also highlighted a concerning lack of consistency in patient care. Naushina Mithani’s unprofessional demeanor, coupled with her hasty and seemingly unfounded decision to send me to the ER, resulted in not just a waste of my time, but also unnecessary stress and anxiety. It is disheartening to encounter such a level of carelessness and lack of empathy in a healthcare setting, where one expects to find support and understanding. In summary, my experience at this urgent care center was marked by a rude and abrupt PA, causing undue stress and a complete waste of time and resources. It’s imperative for healthcare professionals to remember the impact of their words and actions on patients who come to them in times of need and vulnerability.
