Dr. Brooks has genuinely saved my life. I came to him after struggling through years of treatment resistant depression. Ketamine infusions for my treatment resistant depression and suicidality have been an absolute life saver. For me personally it took 8 infusions to really start feeling a big difference so don’t feel discouraged if it takes a little while to kick in. I never thought I’d be able to work again but now I’m well on my way to becoming a certified phlebotomist. It truly is like night and day. Dr. Brooks is phenomenal. He is not just some doctor jumping on the Ketamine bandwagon. His speciality (in which he had an excellent career) is anesthesiology which made him very familiar with Ketamine. (Ketamine is not for horses only!) Dr. Brooks has been on the tip of the spear for many years as it regards new off-label (some now 'on-label') uses for Ketamine. He knows and understands the science. He makes it his business to know and understand his patients as well--he is rapier-sharp, kind, and seems genuinely to want to help. I can sincerely say that Dr. Brooks is among a handful of doctors and specialists that I hold in greatest esteem. I am lucky to be his patient. Ketamine cured (albeit temporarily) what ailed me when nothing else seemed to be effective. Although the initial degree of relief abates over time, I found that the "new normal" months after an infusion was improved with each treatment. I may not permanently feel cured, but Ketamine has permanently made me much better. I recommend Dr. Brooks without hesitation or reservation. Regarding the reviewers who say Ketamine infusions outright "don't work," they are wrong. My dosage had to be titrated up before I felt the robust benefits. And it was like night and day. So if you see Dr. Brooks and feel no relief, TELL him. He listens and he works with you. Another reviewer implies it is all about the money. His infusions are remarkably affordable. It would take MANY visits over significant time to rack up a bill in the thousands of dollars. I cannot imagine doing so unless something was working! Ketamine is a life-saving drug. No one has more experience with it than Dr. Brooks.

Not a typical review: I have not seen Dr. Brooks in person, nor have I received Ketamine treatment, but his dedication to making people better was evident to me on my phone call less than 10 minutes ago. I'm a 31 year old dealing with bizarre, difficult to diagnose, symptoms that have taken away about 2 years of my life. Seen any doctor you could think of. Most doctors would have just set me up for treatment, as I qualify, and taken my money, but EVEN BETTER, he took the time to listen to my symptoms and right away was able to make reccomendation on who I should see. Treatment with him is still an option, but most importantly he illuminated a path I hadn't explored to recovery. He was the first Doctor to understand/emphasize with exactly what I've been dealing with for the past two years. He is a doctor that wants to see patients' conditions improve whether under his care, or not. I'm not sure what ails you whoever you are reading this, but holy hell if my brief phone call with him didn't give me mountains of hope already, I can only imagine the level of dedication his active patients receive when directly under his care. Highly recommend.

I was skeptical about this at first but im really happy i gave it a shot. It really helped me. A little pricey but it def made a drastic improvement in my overall mood, anxiety and depression. The feeling it gave me during the treatment was amazing! Like your floating in a state of peacefulness. There was no pain, fear and all anxiety was lifted away it was an amazing experience for me. Bring headphones with some of your favorite music if decide to try it. The only part i didn’t like was the needle i have fear of needles but the nurses were good it wasn’t bad.

Dr.Brooks is by far the greatest and most caring doctor/man out there. I have been under his care for over five years and he has been nothing but a source of incredible help and hope. Any doctor who works seven days a week, or as needed by his patients, is something that is almost unheard of in this day and age. If half of the doctors had the heart and compassion of Dr.Brooks than our healthcare system would be something we could all depend on and be proud of.

Literally cannot recommend this place (or these people) enough. There are infusion clinics closer to me (I live in New Hampshire), but I'm really glad I went to this one. Both doctor Brooks and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable and kind, and willing to work with me (on multiple axes), and were totally understanding when the Mental Illness(tm) popped up and made me act Weird. I can't even find the words to do my gratitude or recommendation justice. This place quite literally saved my life.

Dr Brooks and his team are angels of mercy. Not only was I made to feel at home, Dr Brooks took the time to explain what the process was doing neurologically and a provide some context for the history of this treatment. If you’re considering this modality of treatment, go to the Godfather (Dr Brooks). His wisdom and experience are priceless (and his prices are the most reasonable in the NYC area). I waited to leave this review until my treatment with Dr. Brooks was just about completed for the foreseeable future. The entire staff is amazing. From the receptionist to the nurses. They constantly check up on you while receiving the treatment to make sure you're feeling okay, offering pillows and blankets, as well. They really don't make you feel like just another patient. You can chat and laugh with the staff, making me feel comfortable and in a safe place while receiving the ketamine. As for the treatment, I feel wonderful. My relationships have been more enjoyable, my mood has been great, I have very clear mental health improvement and last but not least, I have the want to better my life(no fast food, stronger work ethic and I have the willpower to exercise). These are REAL and GENUINE examples to me. Ketamine infusions have really helped and I would recommend this line of treatment, if you are tired of the pills that don't work. TLDR: It doesn't work. While they tell you upfront that it doesn't work for everyone, they do tout an 84% success rate and said someone with my medical background would be perfect for this and it would provide me relief by the 3rd or 4th session. I have never felt any significant depression relief from any session. I thought I found some relief after the 6th and final session (likely due to wanting to be hopeful that I didn't waste $3,500) and they used that feeling to have me do an unconventional 7th and 8th session. They charged me for these extra sessions and they didn't work either. After a full month of 8 infusions, I am exactly where I was before I started in terms of mental health. Unless money is absolutely not a factor for you, I wouldn't recommend this treatment. Even being moderately well-off, it hurts having thrown thousands of dollars out the window. Lastly, the nurses and nurse practitioners there are all amazing and very accomodating. They are the best part of the clinic. However the Doctor's don't seem to be the greatest. Dr. Brooks and Dr. Glatter tend to contradict themselves on dosage suggestions and Dr. Bortnichak outright called EMS on me when I told her that I was depressed and hoped this treatment would fix me. I told her I'd keep trying and finish the treatment, but when I woke up, there was EMS in the lobby waiting to escort me to a pysch ward. Terrible practice, especially since I was so loopy coming out of the IV, my world was spinning when I saw the ambulance guys. Overall, if you have a million dollars and are depressed, do this treatment, it might not work, but at least the high during the hour your under is amazing. However, if money is the slightest bit of concern for your, don't do this. It won't work and just save that money to pay rent or something.

I don't normally write reviews but this clinic is so fantastic and has basically saved my life so I feel the need to say as much!!! Anyone struggling with depression anxiety or PTSD should give them a call and really consider this treatment option. I'm only halfway through the first series of appointments and it's already helped me more than any medication or therapy has in my life. The staff is incredibly comforting and go out of their way to make sure your experience is pleasant. I cannot recommend them enough. I've battled panic attacks and depression my whole life and I can now confidently say that if you're struggling please don't give up, it gets better !!!

NY Ketamine Infusions uses a website called OutcomeMD to measure patients' symptoms before and after treatment. I started with an Anxiety Symptom Score of 33/100, and after treatment, it surprisingly rose to an 86/100. It's nice to have some statistical evidence to show to what extent the treatment has worked for me. Based on this and my own observations of myself, the treatment has worked SUBSTANTIALLY. I'm still not exactly where I want to be, but I'm satisfied with the huge improvements. And now I know for sure that the K infusions have the potential to bring my adverse symptoms to a state of complete remission. In my case, it just seems it will take a bit more time and personal effort, or perhaps a few more infusions, to get them there once and for all. I sincerely thank you, NY Ketamine Infusions, for helping me achieve such a great outcome and for the vital information, kindness, and hospitality you provided during my in-person visits. The warmth you get from the registered nurses and nurse practitioners are enough reason to try this practice out!

Ketamine did not help my daughter, which is dissapointing but acceptable as no promises were made. The staff was kind and I appreciate that I was told by Dr. Brooks to not waste my money anymore since the first 5 sessions (in small but increasing doses) did not help. However, I was dismayed that there are no associated psychiatrists to talk to at a time of severe dissapointment and depression. Dr. Brooks is not a psychiatrist. Also, Dr. Brooks stated that if the treatment is successful (which I was told it is the majority of the time) after the initial six sessions over a couple of weeks, folks usually come back about every 4 to 6 weeks for a year. Then they usually taper off. But after they stop, there is no followup.

I can't say enough great things about NY Ketamine. I went there for a year and got infusions every 4-6 weeks for depression. Dr Brooks was so kind and compassionate and took his time talking to me about everything. The entire staff there was so friendly and they always made me feel cared for and comfortable. If I ever had an issue from home , someone always got right back to me and helped me figure out my dosage or anything else that I needed help with. The ketamine really helped my depression. I highly recommend this office!! I would never go anywhere else.
