How do I begin to explain how wonderful Dr. Nolte and her staff are at The Gianna Center in Midtown Manhattan? Let me start by saying, My husband and I originally went to Dr. Nolte to learn about a more natural approach to birth control. We are also recently married and were considering trying to conceive. The "birth control" method Dr. Nolte uses at The Gianna Center is, The Creighton Model, which tracks your cycle by doing a special form of charting and lets you know when your peak days of fertility are. Dr. Nolte has you track your cycle for a couple months and then reviews it with you during an office visit. It was during a follow up visit with Dr. Nolte that she noticed a pattern in my cycle that could possibly mean that I was low in an important hormone, Progesterone. Progesterone, we learned, is necessary to support a baby after conception has occurred. If women are low in this hormone and conceive miscarriage can often occur. Dr. Nolte did a series of very specific blood tests timed precisely according to my cycle and her suspicion was correct, I was low in this one hormone. WHAT A BLESSING for us that she was able to diagnosis that!? She immediately prescribed me a very low dose of an oral progesterone and A couple months later, my husband and I conceived. We are now 4 months pregnant and expecting our 1st child in the spring. We saw Dr. Nolte for a total of 6 months and during that time she identified several things in my cycle that could cause issues with fertility. All of this from reviewing this special paper chart I kept each month. After reading more about these issues online we learned that often these things are overlooked by most OBGYN's and Fertility Doctors. Now, it's worth noting that, The Gianna Center and Dr. Nolte ARE a Catholic Practice (No birth control/no in vetro Fertilization etc.). That might throw some women off, in fact it made be scratch my head at first, but I would advise you have an open mind, and take a second look. After our time in her care I would emphatically say -Dr. Nolte is the ABSOLUTE 1ST, last, and ONLY, place I would recommend to anyone who wants a natural approach to birth control or is struggling with fertility of any kind- Endometriosis, Unexplained Fertility, you name it. She knows EXACTLY what she is doing. I learned so much about my cycle and fertility while under her care. Some would say "charting you cycle" and not using birth control are super "old school" but after working with Dr. Nolte and the staff at The Gianna Center, I would say that actually charting you cycle is VERY empowering to women AND their partners. Run don't walk to Dr. Nolte. She is gift and blessing to women!

Very judgemental when asking for medical advice

Dr. Nolte and her staff were the first fertility specialist that actually treated me like a person, not a paycheck. Other fertility “specialists” just pushed in vitro without trying to figure out the cause of infertility. A friend told me about Gianna Center and I couldn’t be happier with the care. Every woman should be learning this approach of reproductive health.

Dr. Nolte is kind, caring, and professional, and she went out of her way to put me at ease and make me feel comfortable. As a devout Catholic, I find Dr. Nolte's pro-life approach to medicine refreshing. I highly recommend this wonderful physician.
