Horrible horrible experience with the tan Asian doctor. He was so incredibly disrespectful and downplayed my pain. He kept saying “mind over matter” and was verbally aggressive when I winced in pain. He also demanded me not to scream because there were children next door…like huh ? Would give zero stars if I could. I will be finding his name so I can report him as I’ve never felt so disrespected by a doctor before in my life , and I work in the medical industry ! He stopped mid procedure and told me “get out - I can’t help you”. No bedside manner - if you hate your job sir, just quit.

I am only give one star because I am forced to. I would give zero if it was an option. I took my son to this location this morning because he had the flu. I was worried that he had Covid. The Nurse Practitioner dismissed my concerns, stating that his symptoms are not Covid. He had a fever, sore throat and a stomach ache. I specifically asked her to give him a Covid test. She begrudgingly said she would test for him Covid along with the flu tests. When she came back, she said no flu and instead said that she believed that he had appendicitis and referred us to the hospital emergency room. Thankfully, we had another option and saw a doctor. His first question was whether he had a Covid test. I said yes but it was not on the discharge papers, so she lied about giving him the test. He immediately gave him a Covid test and it was positive. He examined him for appendicitis. He does not have appendicitis. Imagine if we actually went to the emergency room and exposed everyone to Covid because this nurse wouldn't listen. Worse yet, she lied about giving him the Covid test. She should be fired immediately. These types of medical care professionals should be better trained. Not to mention that he was so scared at the thought of having appendicitis.

Update; terrible nonchalant service. Make 12 of us wait outside in the cold despite lots of seats inside. Then after waiting an hour am told they don’t do rapid pct tests. WHY NOT ASK WHY IM HERE Don't go here if you need a GP doctor. They don't do that here. It's "urgent care" only. But boy will they tell you that then charge you. 😡

I went there because I by thought I broke my foot. They took X-rays and said I hadn't. 3 weeks later it still hurt so I saw a podiatrist and yep- a break. I walked around on a broken foot for almost a month

Best CityMD experience for flu/covid testing. Wasn’t crowded, clean, and staff were all great. Dr Patel was wonderful, I wish she were my Primary!

This place is horrible. I visited city MD for what I assumed was an ear infection. Upon seeing the doctor. All he did was look in my ear! Thats it, and tell me he didn't see anything & sent me on my miserable way. I went to another medical facility for a second opinion (NYU). Where I was informed that I have a sinus infection. I will never ever go to this facility (City MD) again!

I went around 8 am and experienced virtually no wait. The desk staff were so nice and the nurses were also lovely. I have been twice and have seen two different doctors, both were super accommodating and I felt they actually cared about how I was feeling. Love this urgent care fr

ZERO STARS. My daughter went there after injuring her knee playing soccer. Dr. At Citymed said xray showed a sprain only. 3 weeks later she was still in pain so got another Dr. to look at it. Torn mcl,acl and meniscus, they were shocked she could walk let alone how Citymd could be so uninformed. I give negative 5 stars Place is dangerous

I’m not one to ever complain about bad service or leave reviews BUT The attending doctor at this location must’ve came from a battle zone because the type of care i received from him was very unprofessional. He walked in the room very aggressive giving me orders and interrogating me to the point I felt i was at a police station. Everything was rushed and I left the place feeling like i had committed a crime for seeking medical attention. Would not recommend this location.

Long wait but I expected as much for the location. All of the staff was courteous and competent. City MD sets a good standard of care. I wish more medical facilities would get on board with their system as it seems very functional.

Was seen quickly but felt the whole visit was very rushed. Plus, it’s good to remember this *is* a for profit company and I’m not sure the chest x-ray was necessary. They do it in house and I felt rushed to get it done and later kinda regretted my decision. I wonder if I had gone to Mount Sinai a few blocks away if that would have been a better decision. At least there I don’t think I’d have been as rushed (I went there a few weeks ago and the Doctor there took more time to speak with me, tho the wait was longer. Trade offs I guess). They do move quick which is a plus for lots of folks.

All experiences I had before were fine, but last time I went to this urgent care they lost my covid test results. The practitioner who administered it (blonde woman) was clearly irritated that I came in 15 minutes before closing for a test. I never got the results. When I went back the next day I told the manager (?) what had happened and she was very apologetic, but I would still recommend going to prohealth over citymd if you don’t want your results to be “lost”. EDIT: as of now they are no longer doing walk in covid tests either, don’t waste your time here.

I've been going to City MD on E. 14th St. Since it opened some years ago. I always feel well taken care of. I'm grateful that they are there to handle non emergency health issues on the spot without having to wait weeks or months for an appointment.

If I could rate this 0 stars, I would have. Dr. Reddy was the most unprofessional MD I have ever encountered. He definitely needs to work on his bedside manner! He dismissed my concerns and diagnosed me before he examined me. Even though this is the closest City MD to me, I will be going elsewhere.

0 stars, be sure to get basic medical checkups anywhere else unless you like being up charged as if you’re at a car mechanic.

I had a very positive experience at this location of city MD. I had almost no wait time, and I felt that everyone treated me with respect and kindness. I got the kind of care that I would not have gotten anywhere else. I’m glad I went here instead of going to the emergency room. Very highly recommended.

Even though I called many times and wanted to find out my test results, unfortunately I could not reach a doctor. Even though I called and tried for days, I was transferred to another person on the phone each time, and they transferred it to another person. In this way, I had to verify all my identity information over and over again in each ongoing conversation. The last time I called again on a different day. I was told again for the third time that they could not view my ID and that it was not registered or saved and that I have to send my information again so they can’t help me without my ID copy, which was I sent 3 times before and I finally gave up and left to call before learning my test results. It was an excellent experience.

The worst citymd in NYC, they refuse to let people with kidney failure and citymd patients use the bathrooms. Treating a medical clinic like a restaurant, I have to swipe my insurance card to use the bathrooms a total joke no compassion nor morals.

Unprofessional and terrible customer service. They didn't want to deal with my insurance so I ended up paying out of pocket (thinking I would claim it back to the insurance provider). CityMD didn't provided me with the proper documents to process the claim. Over the past 2 months, I reached out 4 times to get the proper documents to be passed around departments and I still haven't receive it. Receptionists are rude and unwilling to help. Unfortunately, it is not the first time this happens at City MD and I will find a new provider.

Never going back there again. Went in needing medication for sore throat doctor ran covid and strep test. He said I don't need medication I should be fine in 2 days. Day 6 I've developed a severe cough throat is still sore. I really believe they just wanted my 40$ copay. I'm done with citymd

City MD on 14th. St provided excellent service for Covid test and also a strep culture. There was virtually no wait time and the check in equipment was easy to use. All were helpful, friendly, and professional. I’m visiting from out of town, it was such a relief to find them a few blocks away. Very grateful.

Outrageous. My friend waited in line outside for 4 hours after she had a positive at home rapid test. And all they did was perform another rapid which was positive and they said to isolate for 10 days. CDC and NYC says you need a confirmatory PCR after a positive rapid antigen. They should have told people in line that they weren't performing PCR tests.

  • 1/5 Lawson K. 2 years ago on Google
Waited 2 hrs in the freezing cold for a covid rapid test. And the reason? The test itself takes 2min but then they make you wait for a PA to come in and "talk to you" which is extremely silly and probably just so they can bill insurance more... disappointing. They could have gone way, way faster. Get your covid test done somewhere else.

  • 1/5 Melissa K. 2 years ago on Google
I have a fever and the lobby literally had four people. I told the check in people that it was horrendous just walking there in the cold with a fever and sore throat. I’m honestly tired of covid policies making zero sense. Sit next to people on a crowded subway that’s fine. But an empty wait room and I should wait sick in the cold? I’ll only go to the 23rd street location for now on. Miserable people

While the techs were kind and caring, respectful and efficient. The doctor did not run a second EKG after noticing a blip- when I had no complaints heart related and I had told her I had a clear EKG previously. I was sent to the ER and left with a clean bill of health and a $1,000 bill. None of which would have happened if she simply ran a second EKG.

I came here the other afternoon in need of stitches in my knee due to an unexpected injury I had the previous night. I was a bit frantic because I’m from Florida and was only in town for a few days and don’t have insurance. I’m so thankful for the entire staff here as they were all friendly and efficient. I was in and out within 30 minutes it seemed with a tetanus booster shot and 6 stitches. The doctor and his nurse/assistant(?) worked with urgency to get my wound thoroughly cleaned and stitched up and gave me thorough instructions on how to care for it. I even got a voicemail the next day from the doctor following up on how I was. I don’t think I’ve ever received such great and quick care in a medical facility before.

  • 1/5 Malgorzata M. 1 year ago on Google
The front desk personal was rude, person that claimed is a manager of the facility dismissed me, I was charged more than I should. Whe I asked for a number and names they didn’t provide me with any. They need to understand people go there when they are sick. This was the worst experience. I been discriminated due to my disability as I have blurry vision and was not able to see anything as I was checking in and didn’t receive any help when I ask for it. Who can I contact to get my money back and get help and ensure they don’t do this to others

Showed up feeling very ill on a Monday morning. Dr. Munirih “Muni” Tahzib was such a star, going above and beyond in her treatment, taking time to consider all my symptoms and to think globally about what I needed. I’d highly recommend - five stars.

I have had the two worst experiences at this urgent care. Two different nurses consulted me, as they changed randomly mid-session and the second nurse did not know what was going on. The second time, the doctor was very hostile with their words as I was trying to explain why I needed sick leave for my university. I was trying to explain my medical history to her and how I’ve been suffering different issues other than the ones I came for (strep throat). However, I just felt like she was she doing anything to get me out of the room as soon as possible. I did not feel comfortable nor welcomed at all. It was because of those experiences that made me grow resentment towards the medical industry.

The staff are professional and kind. The wait area is clean and upkept well (with lots of tissues and sanitizer available). The wait time was not bad, maybe 20-25 minutes. The doctor was caring and effective. Overall good experience.

Dr Sarah Baker is wonderful. I have been fully vaccinated against covid but became a “breakthrough” case. After she prescribed a medication for me, neither CVS or Walgreens were filling my prescription for an antibiotic for my covid induced pneumonia because of their inability to deal with the covid backlog!!! She managed to leave me the prescription at the front desk because she knew our pharmacies (and our healthcare system) had failed me. I LOVE her. I am a huge fan of City MD.

Very easy check-in at the kiosk, very helpful front desk, excellent care from doctor and nurse. I like that there's a radiologist on-site. The doctor was very clear in explaining things to me, and I was very pleased with my follow-up visit to a specialist, arranged for me by CityMD.

I came to the CityMD office on East 14th Street at about 4:30 p.m. on a weekday and was seen by a doctor soon after. The doctor recommended that I see a specialist, and I received a telephone call listing appointment times with one soon after I arrived home. I'm impressedwith the speed, kindness, and efficiency of your staff and would recommend CityMD East 14th Street Urgent Care to anyone who needs medical help.

Stay away from this place! Blows my mind how a provider can be so unprofessional. I accompanied my friend here because she was feeling really unwell. When she came out of the examination room after her meeting with the PA, she was so upset and distressed, saying that she had the most awful experience ever! She was seen by PA Kathryn Toth (for some reason introduces herself as Kate to her patients) and was treated horribly. PA Kathryn was extremely dismissive, didn't care enough about her past medical history. Responded to her queries with rude remarks and unnecessary nasty attitude. My friend and I went and saw another provider after that and the experience was polar opposite!! Why do we as patients have to pay these providers for health care services only to be mistreated and disrespected by them? This place and the people of the community deserve better providers than PA Kathryn Toth.

They were very rude to my boyfriendwhen we went there to get cotton out of his ear( it was lodged very deep In the left ear) we even called ahead of time to see if they could get it out and said that they could and we ended up having to go to the nearest hospital where they finally got it out with a hydrogen peroxide flush so we paid them $25 for nothing and their report online said there was nothing there don’t go unless you wanna be embarrassed for worrying about ur health
