Iā€™ve been a member for yearsā€” LOVE the community! However, there is a very unprofessional trainer here almost every morning, continuously being disruptive and unsafe. Itā€™s a very poor representation of the wonderful gym this is. The majority of the staff here is BEYOND commendable and I adore them! I highly recommend Ryan for personal training, having extensive knowledge and eagerness to educate/assist others in improving mobility/strength. Thomas is very professional, diligent, and always going above and beyond for this gym. The manager, Tiffany, is super personable and continues to do an incredible job meeting the needs of the members here!! I truly love this place and Iā€™m excited to see the ways it will continue to improve šŸ’•

I'm new to the whole gym thing. (Never worked out in my life prior to this) Overall, Harbor Fitness makes me feel comfortable no matter which level I am at. The staff is amazing, and the members are all respectful towards one another. Most importantly, it's clean.

Home sweet home. Harbor fitness go, in my opinion, has great vibes, staff, and machinery. I have been going for just about a year now. I am very comfortable in the environment. I recently upgraded to all access to visit the other 2 locations by 92nd st and 71st that are close to me as well.

Staff is nice. Facilities arenā€™t worth the price; in my view, this is a 40$ a month gym. Locker rooms are super cramped. Overrated atmosphere. Only do it if you must stay in the neighborhood.

Wonder when theyā€™re going to replace the rope. Itā€™s all taped up. May I suggest getting it from Spartan.com also I donā€™t know what type of people use the bathroom here but in the mornings itā€™s horrendous, urine everywhere. At least in the menā€™s locker room

Some of the people at front desk are very rude. I requested a towel and I was thrown one away no manners!( A petite woman with very long fake eyelashes) also only one or two of the tabs are working at the women restroom. Overall too pricey for the ā€˜experienceā€™

Harbor Fitness is a clean and spacious gym. The members always re-rack their weights and use towels to keep everything sanitized between themselves and the equipment. Also a key note is that management and staff are very friendly and fair to their members. Overall itā€™s a good gym thatā€™s worth the monthly fee.

I enjoy Harbor Fitness. The front desk crew are always welcoming. I'm part of Silver Sneakers & the workout is fun & healthy. The 2 instructors really care. After the hour workout, I usually go upstairs & use the treadmill. I will continue.

The equipment is updated and the over all gym is extremely clean. Tiffany Flores, the General Manager was extremely helpful and very professional when addressing a personal matter. I will continue to recommend Harbor to all my friends and family!

One of the Best! I used to be a member of this gym when I lived in Bay Ridge from 1996 to 2014. I went back this weekend to have a workout! Wow! The gym has grown to be beautiful complex. Fantastic machines. Super professional staff and extra clean! I love this gym!

Great gym. The staff is professional and friendly. Mostly new equipment and well maintained, however it may be time for new ellipticals soon. Most of them have issues working properly. The yard is a plus too. Great to be outdoors when itā€™s nicer weather.

Came as a guest on Sat, 7/24 at about 12PM. The front desk is enough to make someone sign up. Friendly staff, super courteous and they make you feel welcome. The machines are good and yes, sometimes you will have to wait, but not very long. Members are respectful and friendly, and everyone reracks equipment properly. If I didn't live an hour away, this would be my gym.

Overcrowded and frustrating, just like any other commercial gym. Walk in and just wait way to long to use the bench press. Then wait for the incline bench. Wait to use the pull downs. The squat rack!, good luck. Two and three people using it at one time. Itā€™s a joke. The place has just become a waste of time and money. I donā€™t have hours to hang out at a gym. I just want in and out.

I've been to many gyms across the States and this one is right up there on my list of favorites. Only thing that would make it better is when they lift covid restrictions and open the showers and I can bring a guest. Has all the essentials to get the job done. Nice layout. I'd recommend trying out. And not to packed in the morning

My 93-year-old mother, belongs to Harbor Fitness Bay Ridgeā€™s (9215-4th Ave) Silver Sneakers program and raves about it. She loves the exercises and the instructors who make sure that everyone is participating yet not doing more than they can handle. They are all personable, professional, and enthusiastic. I would also like to extend my compliments and gratitude to the reception staff. They go out of their way to be helpful and kind. Last week after class, during an exceptionally hot day, my mom and her aide were waiting for an Uber. One of the female staff came outside with two bottles of water, asked them if they wanted to go inside where it was cooler, and offered to wait outside for the car. Clearly, customer service above and beyond the norm. So, in summary, Harbor Fitness - great gym, great people.

Just joined. Very impressed. I get to use all the locations. Staff is kind. Lots of protein drinks. People are helpful too. I could not figure out the locks and people helped me. I can always get my work out in. Very satisfied. Good vibe as well

Although harbor fitness ranks as a four-star as far as equipment. The replacement on Kings highway is not reintroducing the pool that was the previously, a major disappointment. I just joined a y instead.

Iv had multiple gym memberships in Brooklyn and this is by far the one of the best ones hands down. Iv also dealt with multiple gyms memberships and this one is the best in terms of professionalism, equipment, and location. Not to mention there is cheap paid parking if you have to drive. The staff is very professional. The staff also respond promptly and addressed any and all concerns i had. I aslo appreciate this gym more becuase of negative experiences iv had with other gyms that i didnt have go through with this one. Whether you're a gym rat or just work out casually this is a gym id recommend.

Great gym amazing gym has everything you need and more, on top of that the women in this gym look better than half these strippers at night clubs. Only thing I would say needs improving is this gym needs to properly space out equipment, itā€™s so close to each other the people always accidentally hit each other, secondly back, bicep and leg machines should be in the same row this got me walking all around the gym because youā€™ll have them all mixed up and finally the locker room (menā€™s) needs to be cleaner I always find a dirty towel in the sauna or steam room and it creates a smell that makes the whole locker room stink. Other than that the gym is amazing and is definitely worth the price. Last thing I would say is make this gym open 24/7 some of us got weird schedules and Iā€™m sure youā€™ll find people to keep this gym open 24/7 for 6 days minimum it will probably get more people to join as well. Please reconsider the invite guest policy so to my knowledge you can only bring the same guest once then they have to pay or join the gym, I personally think this needs to change for the price we pay (access to all facilities membership) we should be able to bring 1 guest per day as we please. Also please add an elevator for us people who are on a cane or wheelchair. Thank you and please come to this gym it is amazing with an amazing atmosphere and the community is amazing.

I love this gym, but PLEASE permanently sub Alexis Z. From 92nd location, she so clearly does not want to be here or care to prioritize giving her class a good experience. This has been going on long enough that I feel this needs to be said. She has been late for every single class of hers that I take (I take the same class once a week.) She strolls in 3-5 minutes past the start of the class and gets situated. By the time she sets herself up, we are 7-10 minutes late to start. Even though she doesnā€™t have respect for our time (every single time) she will then condescendingly, in a fake nice tone shush anyone who might still be quietly talking, to start the class. Just start the class, and people will naturally quiet down. The rudeness, and underlying need to control the situation is so incredibly off-putting and just kills the whole vibe, especially in a YOGA class, and more so because itā€™s masked with fake nice persona. I canā€™t even explain how uncomfortable that is to witness let alone experience. There were a few instances where members of the class made small, reasonable requests to Alexis, and her reaction to them was somethingā€¦ she would get ā€œstuckā€ for a second. Not pause to think, or listen, but ā€œstuckā€ the way people who love to be in control stop dead in their tracks when someone tries to undermine their authority. Except no one was ā€œunderminingā€ her, thatā€™s just how she reacts to something she doesnā€™t want to do. Every single time, without fail Alexis will complain about the facilities. Usually in multiple ways. ā€œI know we are like in a fishbowl here and we can hear every noise from outside, but try to concentrateā€¦ā€ She calls the curtain that separates the workout room from the equipment a ā€œhospital curtain,ā€ she often points out that yoga is not supposed to be done in a room with mirrors. Many many many many times she mentioned that she prefers the room in the new 72nd location and so forth. Every time I come to yoga to relax and forget my worries I end up listening to Alexisā€™ complaints. Itā€™s actually extremely stressful and annoying. Alexis is not a particularly good teacher, or a talented yogi, sheā€™s not hands on with her students. I think Iā€™ve seen her go up to someone to correct their form only once. She doesnā€™t respect our time. She certainly does not care much for Harbor Fitness, especially for 92nd st location. And I found that Iā€™m actually more stressed out after leaving her yoga classes than I am before. Lately, Iā€™ve noticed getting anxiety just getting ready to go to class. That just isnā€™t right. Iā€™m sure she can find a beautiful non-fishbowl, no mirror, noise free, hospital curtain free yoga space to exert her power. Weā€™ve had a WONDERFUL young yoga teacher sub for Alexis a few times (I canā€™t recall her name) and she was absolutely incredible. Everyone in the class was absolutely wowed by her. And of course Martine is an absolute treasure and the kindest, sweetest soul.
