Update: MEMBERSHIP PRICE IS GOING UP, THE ELEVATORS ARE BARELY RUNNING AND SERVICE STANDARDS IN GENERAL ARE GOING DOWN! (See photo) REALLY GOING DOWNHILL. NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE THERE ANYMORE. SO TIRED OF THIS. Hey guys— you have so much potential here but the place must be GROSSLY mismanaged. THERE ARE TWO WEIGHT BENCHES IN THE ENTIRE FACILITY!! I can’t believe it. I just left a Blink in a bad neighborhood in Brooklyn that has much better gym equipment and much more of it! They had 8-10 weight benches there and much more modern weight machines there. You guys have more potential than most but you just aren’t where you should be, as far as gym accommodations. Please make an effort. We need, at minimum, more weight benches and gym equipment that does not have to get loaded with plates!! Every other gym in the city offers machines with built in variable-control weights. PS. I’m tempted to go down to ONE STAR after their kettlebell got rust all over my clothing today — GET IT TOGETHER 92Y!!

Gym staff is great. Trainers are excellent. Warning: hours differ than the rest of 92Y, make sure you check the times for May Center. Will rate 5 stars once the hours are expanded, gym has been renovated (especially tiny lockers with no built-in locks), and the sauna opens.

Sign up recently. Great people general I've interacted with. They all makes one feel welcomed. Class instructors understand and take time showing & explaining the equipment and how its affects the body. I've attended several classes & love it. Yes, absolutely a member now.

I have been going to this gym for many years. They have everything you ask for- well equipped gym, decent classes, big size yoga room/dance floor, basketball court, 25yd ozone- purified swimming pools, jacuzzi, sauna/ steam rooms, nice showers, high level professional trainers and friendly frontdesk staffs. I just recently renewed my membership, and I am sure I will continue loving it... Great all-inclusive gym in New York City!

They're slogan is "where real New Yorkers work out" and I would have to agree! They have a bit of everything, and the staff is so nice. I always feel like I'm at home. It really has a 'Cheers' vibe to it. Awesome place!

The facility is good, although not always appropriately air conditioned. Personnel is usually courteous and helpful. When trying to cancel my membership, I was given a hard time. I was asked to provide a proof of move. I offered to e-mail the contract with the moving company, but I was told this was not acceptable. When I asked why, I was told, "this is company policy."

This place basically has everything I need in a gym...There aren't a lot of fancy/gimmicky classes, yet they offer basic strength, cardio, aqua fitness, Yoga, stretching, spinning, Zumba, Pilates, and kickboxing...Also, it's a reasonably priced club with a good-sized pool, wet and dry saunas, and a hot tub...There are plenty of lockers, the staff is pleasant, and it's relatively clean...It's not "cool" or "trendy", but it works for me... Update: Yes, I am still a member...As of this date, I still haven't found anything comparable for the price...

I've been a member on and off since 2003. Still love going here for the classes (latin low, Zumba and Pilates mat), sauna, hot tub and swimming pool. Looking forward to seeing the improved/renovated facilities soon!

Generally a really great place to workout. The staff are very nice. My only comment would probably be that I wish there was more squat racks in the weights room so that more people would be able to use the barbells. They have plenty of free weights and cardio equipment though!

This gym is my go-to spot in the neighborhood, and I couldn't be happier with it. The variety of group fitness classes available is fantastic, and the friendly, neighborly atmosphere really adds to the overall experience. The pool is a big plus for me, and the added amenities like the sauna and steam room make it even better. I wouldn't trade this gym for anything else.

Great equipment, friendly staff. Closing at 3pm on Saturday is annoying though.

I love the classes, location, hours and the steam/ sauna. I had to take away one star due to the members, I will just say they are "interesting"

The classes they offer for the community are fabulous. I have taken an art class, and will definitely register for more.

Best gym in the City. Friendly, clean, fun. Love the Stairmaster climbers, the weight room, the classes, and the staff, who couldn’t be more welcoming.

They spend extra time with you - even in a group setting - to ensure you are doing the exercises properly and efficiently. They even give you stretches to do on your own time. Highly recommend!

Best gym for the money on the UES. Only one I know of with pool, hot tub, stream rooms, saunas, and more!

The 92Y has extremely courteous, skilled, friendly and helpful staff. The ozone filtration pool and lifecycle equipment is great and very clean, as are the facilities. I love it here!

Love it for all those that included in a membership: classes, gym, sauna, pool, jacuzzi, towels, unlimited guest pass. Unfortunately pool guard said "no diving", strangling with getting into a pool now...

It's conveniently located, clean, affordable, and a friendly staff...Not the "coolest" place, but it works for me🙂

worse staff ever, very unfriendly front desk. I liked the pool but it is crowded. Old and dusty institution.

This place will go to great lengths to take your money. They refused to cancel my membership in April, continued to deduct money from my card, and made it incredibly difficult for me to terminate my membership. I would strongly advise against joining this gym.
