We travelled from the UK to have our wedding in NY and as soon as we original saw this place and the view it was an instant love and we booked it with no hesitation! The view is incredible no matter where you look. The carousel itself is so gorgeous, so much detail and love has gone into it - it’s just so special. It’s not just any carousel! The team who worked with us for our wedding day were incredible. We had to postpone twice due to Covid and they worked with us to change dates so effortlessly and did everything they could! They even recommended other vendors to help with our day. Our wedding photos are incredible because of this venue - please never go because you are one of kind!

Good views. It is just a carousel... nothing more! Purchased by millionaire that bought this at an auction for his wife Jane. He made his millions off real estate (he purchased this entire area when it was a slum then used the banks money to build up the area - he also built Dumbo park in order to increase real estate value of the area). Smart dude now living the American dream! Enjoy the carousel he bought for his wife Jane (FYI he was such a creepy man that he insisted on Interviewing any female that wanted to rent a room in his apartments and that is how he met his wife Jane 😂)

This is a pretty fun experience for $2 and about 3 minute rides. Kids absolutely love it and adults also go on a ride. It’s a harmless fun thing to indulge in especially if you have never been on a carousel.

Beautiful vintage carousel near the Brooklyn Bridge in Dumbo. The views here are immaculate, plus seeing a carousel in the middle, outdoor, like this seems like a fever dream.

So much fun! This has to be one of the most scenic carousels in the world, hands down. Great for kids. Great for a date. Getting engaged? Great choice! I see brides and grooms take wedding portraits over here.

Nice little gem right next to the water. $2 per ticket, the lines weren't too long when we were there on a weekend. Parking might be a bit tough. There are plenty of choices for food right there around the food court. The kids loved it, might head back again for the other restaurants around the area.

It’s one of the best locations in Brooklyn/NYC, right out of movies… The young people working at Jane’s carousel are professional, friendly and one can see they take pride in their work. To call the tickets cheap is an understatement, very affordable for everyone… It was nice to see they corrected a mistake when they charged an adult accompanying a toddler and promptly did not for the second run. Also the fact that the lady provided history to a small group of 5-6 people for the last few rides was so nice to see. A wonderful, fun and wholesome experience for entire family.

THE BEST thing to do in dumbo, no matter your age!!! It's a beautiful interactive piece of art that's over a century old, & has a wonderful story that connects Ohio & NYC - which unfortunately you can only learn about on their website, it's a quick 5 minute read tho. It is indoors, inside a glass building that is temperature controlled for the sake of the carousel, however it is also in the visitors benefit as it makes the ride a great choice year round!! As you ride, you get wonderful views of the surrounding area of the park, the two bridges, & after the sun goes down, the view of the (lower) Manhattan skyline is beautiful with the lights lit up. The employees aren't particularly outgoing, but are still polite & friendly. As of February 2024, the cost for a 3 minute ride is $2!!!

Reasonably cheap price for a go and worth going on if you are in the immediate area. It is next to the waterfront so good views of that and the bridges.

Love this place. Highly recommend ! My son has been here since he is a baby. This three-row, 48-horse carousel dates back to 1922 when it was first installed in Youngstown, Ohio. It was purchased by the Walenta family, developers of Empire Fulton Ferry State Park where it now sits, in 1983 after it was almost disassembled, and painstakingly restored to gleaming, functional shape by Jane Walentas. It finally reopened in 2011 at this site, inside a beautiful glass box that not only offers stunning views of nearby bridges and the Manhattan skyline from within, but is itself a pleasing, attention-drawing highlight of the immediate landscape. Not to mention an immediate favorite of kids young and old. Definitely a treasure along what's now a beautiful, continuous Brooklyn waterfront

This was so fun! My father in law, husband, and daughter all purchased tickets for $2 a ride. You get a beautiful ticket as a souvenir and the beauty of the horses is amazing! Kiddo even asked for a second ride. We will come back the next time we are in the area! Friendly staff, easy entry and exit.

Beautiful ride on the banks of the East river, watching the beauty of New York City. The antique carousel installed at a perfect destination with astonishing music. The fare is $2, few of the horses were under maintenance and everyone are looking for moving horses so the queue time has been increased. Be handy with cash as we are waiting in the queue we may be passed through with some local vendors selling balloons and small toys.

One of the best carousel 🎠 in NYC. Located in Brooklyn Bridge Park, in the middle of the famous Brooklyn Bridge & Manhattan Bridge, Jane's Carousel is a must visit if you are in the Brooklyn Bridge Park area. It costs only $2 for a ride and the wait time is also not bad at all. This carousel is also well maintained unlike other carousels in the city. All in all, it's a beautiful looking carousel located inside a beautiful looking park of New York City 🗽

Beautiful place for children and adults. I arrived when it was closed but it’s a very nice place. Also the view is incredible! Highly recommended to everyone. It was easy to park the car near this place. On Sundays it seems to be free in the street.

The wedding photographer in me loves Jane's Carousel because of the artistry, motion, and lights. But the kid in me loves it because it's just plain fun and awesome. I photographed an engagement session here with one of my NYC couples not too long ago and we had a great time. They were thrilled with their photos and were glad that we made this stop during their session. From me, Jane's Carousel is highly recommended!

Title: A Timeless Brooklyn Waterfront Experience My recent visit to Jane's Carousel at Brooklyn Bridge Park was simply enchanting. This iconic landmark offers a charming setting, nestled within an attractive building with expansive glass walls that provide captivating views of the Manhattan skyline, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the East River. The classic carousel music added to the nostalgic atmosphere as I embarked on the ride. Families with children and adults enjoyed the Carousel's timeless charm, making it a delightful experience. I visited in the afternoon, and as the sun set, the Carousel's lights illuminated the scene beautifully, creating a mesmerizing ambiance. The Carousel is open year-round, making it a perfect destination in any season. Jane's Carousel has 48 hand-carved horses and two chariots and is a piece of history. Meticulously restored and relocated from Ohio to its current home, it's a testament to craftsmanship. It's reassuring to note that there have been no reported accidents since its opening in 2011. Moreover, Jane's Carousel offers the opportunity to host parties and events, making it a versatile and unique venue. In conclusion, Jane's Carousel in Brooklyn Bridge Park is a timeless attraction that promises enchantment for visitors of all ages. Its captivating views, classical music, and rich history make it a memorable experience. Don't miss the chance to visit this iconic Carousel, restored with dedication and care and now delighting visitors in Brooklyn.

Wonderful place to walk past and enjoy people watching, but also breathtaking views of Manhattan and the bridges on either side. A must see when visiting NYC, I had been to the city many times and never made the trek over here but the water front makes it all worth it. It does get very busy around here.

I do not recommend hosting any events here. The event planner, I believe her title is director of operations, was rude to us from the beginning, acting annoyed and put out when we came to view the space, but I just thought she was having a bad day. Turns out that's just her permanent attitude. We planned our wedding ceremony here then the pandemic hit. Instead of working with us to host a smaller outdoor event with precautions in place, the event planner there seemed to take joy in laughing in our faces about how it was never going to happen, they were the first to cancel on us despite the fact that we had a contract with them, even when our other indoor space and all of our other vendors were trying to work with us. The event planner at the Carousel would not even allow us to take photos at the carousel the day we got married at The River Cafe instead. I even pleaded with the woman and showed her that I bought my wedding dress to specifically match the colors of the carousel but she didn't even care to allow us to take a few photos there. This is not someone you want involved in any day that is supposed to be happy. I recommend The River Cafe if you love that area and the views of the bridge. Everyone there was extremely kind and understanding of our predicament and we had a really special wedding there.

One of my favorite spots in NYC. Not open all the time. You definitely need to check the operation times before going. 2 dollars one ticket, and you can also keep the tickets for a souvenir. Many shops and some good food in Brooklyn near by.

It is beautiful at sunset, and it complements the Brooklyn Bridge in the distance. It is very romantic, suitable for children and couples, a good place to take pictures!
