Coming to this place was so nostalgic. I believe the firehouse is an active ladder. It is very well kept and super cute. Something totally free that you can just walk up to and take pictures of. And if you're anything like me that loves to walk the entire city instead of just taking the train, then this is not too far of a walk from Washington Square Park. (About 20 minutes).

Firehouse was amazing as always. FDNY were great at this location. They have all kinds of merchandise available, check the wall on the right hand side. Can't believe the crowds of people that still visit this filming location based on a movie from the 80's. A must stop if you are a fan of the movie.

Great place to visit if your nostalgic about the films, it's exactly like it although they aren't allowed to let you slide down the pole as it's an active firehouse. A touching mix of fantasy and reality as the house lost members on 9/11 and have a touching tribute to their lost comrades. There is a selection of FDNY items to buy which support the benevolent fund, some thirty, caps etc with the firehouse logo on which happens to be the ghost buster ghost! Very cool. The firefighters are very hospitable and accommodating, but be warned if the bell goes theyre away!

I had to go and I was not disappointed, I was happy with a picture outside until they opened up to tweak the decorations. Adam the firefighter was really great and he allowed inside to take some pictures,We even got to meet Luna, the firehouses dog. An absolute must for any Ghostbusters fan of any age.

Super happy I finally got to Ghostbusters Headquarters! Yes, the actual fire department still active so you can only enjoy outside, sign, location and the building. That's all enough for me. I love the movie and I also have Lego modular of this building. Such a nice day to visit and see the building by my own eyes. Fireman who works at this place, they look enjoy that lots of people taking their picture! like a movie star!

You can't maneuver through the whole HQ but they let you look around in the front. They also sell Ghost Busters Paraphernalia. You have to have cash to purchase, no credit cards or cashapp. A ghost buster seemed to pop up with the lighted gear, suit and all! It was cool!!!

Knowing this iconic fire station like many others. Standing next to it, truly puts you right back to your childhood. I didn’t know the location was here in New York City, I thought it was in Los Angeles and the fact it was an active station, Me and my Son saw them spring into action on our visit, this allowed even more pictures. Seeing Ghostbusters Headquarters truly made my visit to New York, one I never thought I would have seen. Thank You

If you are a Ghostbuster Fan, you definitely need to stop here at the headquarters. The firehouse is well kept & still functioning. I can’t believe they filmed the movie back here in the 80’s. The location is pretty cool & looks really good! Sometimes, they even open the door so you can peek inside. During our visit, it was closed. But it was still fun to take pictures of the architecture with other excited fans. I hope to visit again when you can go inside!

Must stop for all Ghostbusters fans! One of my students really wanted to get here especially on GB day. So we tried our best and made it. They were able to grab a couple of souvenirs as well! Thank you Hook & Ladder no.8!

Amazing to see. Was closed when I arrived with no official opening times posted which makes it hard to plan when to drop by to see inside. However if you hang around long enough the front garage door opens at sporadic intervals for deliveries etc and then you get a chance to see and talk to the firemen. Also merch can be bought with cash only.

We were lucky to come when the firehouses bay door was open! Still a real working fire house.. T-shirts ($20), pins ($5)

How can you go to New York and not stop by this place? Firefighters were extremely friendly and had a closet full of merchandise that more reasonably priced. Coming back in March and I will take my son's back here. It's a must stop if you are ever in New York. Highly recommend!

Such a cool and nostalgic experience. If you watched Ghostbusters as a kid you will love this outing. Be sure to purchase a t-shirt or patch to support the firehouse.

First starters this is an active fire house so be respectful to the fireman here. They are all great sports letting people in and photos etc. Besides the impact Ghostbusters has had in movies and culture of fandom I can say you can skip this attraction if you are not into the film. Does get little busy but not where you have to wait a long time.

Loved getting a chance to see this movie landmark. This being on a less traveled street allows you to get in a decent photo opportunity. Very much recommended for those who want to get some 80s nostalgia.

Der originale Drehort der Ghostbusters, ein Muss für jeden Fan. Wir konnten nicht rein aber sie haben das Tor aufgelassen so dass man das Innere sehen konnte. Und es sieht aus wie man es aus dem Film kennt, genial!

What has to be said about this iconic location? The only thing missing is Ecto-1. We were very lucky to bump into two guys who had been visiting comic con, who were in full Ghostbuster regalia and were loving it! Not too busy, but just be patient for photos and enjoy the atmosphere.

Disclaimer: You can only enter when they are open. They don’t just let anyone inside, it is an actual active firehouse and as far as I know you can’t go in and explore. BUT, it’s the firehouse from ghostbusters and it’s awesome. Just seeing it is so cool. I was happy I took the time to go see it for a few minutes to bro g the nostalgia that comes with seeing it. Near Rockerfeller plaza is another place where you can buy their fire patch and their fire shirt. So you can get a ladder 8 patch/shirt if they aren’t open

While still there, the multi-million dollar renovation has removed the original style is the building. You can find some Ghostbusters inspired sidewalk art promoting the fire station. Luckily, it's still here after nearly being closed by the city. If the Franklin station is open, take the E train and pop right up across the street!

this is a legendary place in the city, for my taste. we all watched this movie, but not many people know that this is an existing Fire Station. inside there is a shop with souvenirs, T-shirts and a car number. You will need to buy a number and take a picture with it. A great souvenir. Yes. from the second part all ghostbusters are sucks

Born in the 90s and travelling through the US? This MUST SEE place is worthy your morning more then other places in NYC, it will feel like taking a bath in your youth, plus, they sell original gadgets in the inside! Check it out!

Worth seeing if you pass by but it’s a working station so you may just see a closed shutter as nothing more to see and nothing else that close by.

Fans of GB1 will appreciate this iconic landmark. Follow the crowds of people taking endless photos. A working fire station. Nearby is Bunny’s but get there early as the line is blocked long and bananas. Or head to pier 26 by following west the same street. ✌️

So this doggie was really Really interested in the firehouse. I think because animals are really sensitive to the supernatural so probably he could smell the ghosts. A sign says entrance around the corner but around the corner there's nothing? If you walk further down a coffee shop but there is no other entrance to inside the firehouse.

Nice place to visit, ICONIC. Must see if you grew up on these movies, or love ghost movies, the actors in it, etc. Firebrigade place wit car, and iconic old thungs on the wall, worth a visit and few pictures. Recommend! 👻😊

It was nice to come see it in person, but I think they might have been on a call when we went. Would have loved to get a t shirt or patch from them but no one answered the door. Still a cool place with history though!

I just loved running into the ghostbusters headquarters halfway through. The best thing was to catch a truck leaving just in time, and for those who don't know, they also have a ghost recorded.

Who you gonna call? Yup it actually exists! As a big Ghostbusters nerd I had to make the trek through Tribeca to find this gem. As far as I know it is a working firehouse so be respectful. It is fun to see in person, geek out & take funny pics. It is not open to the public to go inside. It was a nice night for walking, but it's right by the subway if you choose otherwise. I ain't afraid of no ghosts! ❤️ kp

It is a real, in operation fire station! It is the same place from the movies, it really feels incredible probably the coolest fire house in the USA. It is awesome you can only see from the sidewalk, no entry as firemen are working there but you can buy souvenirs from there!

Fun for a quick photo if you’re within a 15 minute walk. Quiet area when we visited.

The fire station is still in operation. Souvenirs or possibly entry are only available if someone has time. A short stop for a photo at the famous movie site is enough.

Iconic place to visit. Very nice Pub on the other side of the street, gives you great view through the window on Ghostbusters Hq.

It looked like you could buy t-shirts from here but we didn't see anyone inside and didn't want to buy them either. But it was pretty cool seeing the ghostbusters firehouse.

I was a huge ghostbusters fan in my childhood, so I was really pleased that I got to see this. There isn’t a great deal to see, so tag it on to other activities (it’s about a 20 min walk from the 9/11 museum). There is a bit of mercy you can buy, but it’s cash only. It’s a real working fire station and has a fire engine inside. There are no signs to say where you can and can’t go, but there is a yellow line on the floor. I unknowingly stepped over the line at one point and I felt the Firefighter (who I generally have the upmost respect for) swore at me (F word) in front of my wife and I thought it was really unnecessary. This spoilt the experience a bit, but I guess you get people like this in all walks of life.
