Columbus Circle is really cool, I especially love the entrance point to Central Park that’s present here (it’s marked by a really picturesque statue). There’s great shopping + dining options located here and there is easy accessibility to the subway. It’s a must-see (through all seasons)!

Did you know that Columbus Circle is the traditional municipal zero-mile point from which all official city distances are measured🙃✌️

Great place to chill in when in the Columbus Circle area! This place has tons of shops like Wholefoods to H&M toWilliam Sonoma. There are restrooms to use too. Definitely check this place out. It’s right across the street from Central Park. The 1 Red train and the A/C Blue Line and B/D Orange line goes here.

Columbus Circle happens to be a great space to meet people and people watch. It's literally in the thick of things so it's also great for photography.

With the mild weather on Christmas Day, iconic Central Park, and the area streets were packed with locals and tourists from near and far. Everyone set aside their differences and troubles to share a beautiful moment in New York. A positively emotional experience. Kudos to Starbucks who had a bathroom and kept it open!!!!!! You deserved all the business you were getting. Your staff had a great attitude too. I love the setup of the store where orders are prepared in the coffee bar behind the glass (restaurant style).

Nice monument just before you enter Central Park. Makes for a good picture. Stand or sit in the middle and watch the New York traffic pass by. You might even catch a photoshoot like we did. Don't forget to grab a coffee at the near by Magnolia Bakery.

The shopping options here are great. And the subway station here makes it easy to get anywhere. Not sure about the actual monument itself… mediocre in terms of tourist attractions. If you are in New York for site-seeing, this statue should not be on your list. But maybe you’ll be in this area to catch the metro

It was a nice traffic circle at 8th Avenue and Broadway at the beginning of Central Park. It has a statue of Christopher Columbus. A fountain. Lots of trees. Lots of shops surround the circle. The Museum of Arts and Design is located here.

Cool spot. Columbus is overlooking this place. You will find people of all walks of life here. Central Park is across as are shops, metro, busses, turnstile, museums etc. It's a great place to start the journey into NY. Walk up the Westside along Central Park or downtown. Plenty to explore.

A very...very....very central place. Lovely entrance to Central Park, nice shopping center, oh well it's just close to everything. I'm trying to avoid it when crowded but that's what New York is all about.

This is one busy intersection, it is also the place where the iconic statue of Columbus meets Central Park... There are so many things to see and to do in and around the park that you will have to set aside a day to take in all its splendour... We usually take the subway or a taxi to Columbus circle and then walk the park or take a Horse carriage or Pedicab to get around...

Very cool intersection. It is bigger than it looks on a map and is really fascinating to see all of the vehicles navigating around, and also how calm it seems because of the park near it.

This is a nice to sit and spend time with family or friends. Created by Italian sculptor Gaetano Russo, the Columbus Monument is at the center of this circle. There are good malls, restaurants, hotels and offices around this place. There is also an entry to the Central Park.

Beautifully restored and open. Unfortunately, due to a poorly managed garbage collection system in the city and a burgeoning rat population, if you visit the monument in the evening chances are you will have to dodge rats.... they were so emboldened they would run towards us.

Would be an amazing 360 view if not for all the food trucks, but it’s not a big deal.

Good meeting spot for locals and for tourists. It’s e heart of Manhattan. While there is so much to do, it’s easy to become overwhelmed especially if you aren’t a local and don’t know the cool things you can do like renting a paddle boat or the garden conservatory in the east side.

Beautiful & important location in New York tourism. I’d have to say it’s the most appealing corner of Central Park. Central Park is actually designed by Olmstead to be entered from 5th Ave but despite all that, 8th Ave is where it’s at. And you got the time Warner center. Game over.

The circle is named after the monument of Christopher Columbus in the center, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The name is also used for the neighborhood that surrounds the circle for a few blocks in each direction. Hell's Kitchen, also known as Clinton, is located to the southwest, and the Theater District is to the southeast and the Lincoln Square section of the Upper West Side is to the northwest. Wikipedia
