Nice beach , I don’t recommend to go on holiday is too crowded. But overall is easy to get there and is okay to go and take the sun . Bathrooms are clean despite people come to shower in the sinks lol … the amusement park has a lot of rides and entertainment.

The best time to enjoy the Coney Island beach is before the Memorial Day and after the Labor Day. It gets crowded during the weekends. If you like crowds, then this is your place in the summer. Idle time to ride a bike on the boardwalk is from 6 am to 10 am. I visited in the middle of the week and on cloudy day, and I found very few people on the beach. Beach and the boardwalk were clean.

If getting a beautiful beach is a bonus, getting a beach with boardwalk is double bonus and what is a beach with boardwalk and an amusement park? Triple bonus! We have been here once before, but not to the board walk side. It was in mid March and the winds were too cold to handle. We still spotted several fishing enthusiasts at work with their fishing baits and regular visitors strolling around. We missed the sunset due to delay in finding a parking but the scene was still beautiful with the hues and waves. Looking forward to seeing this place in a summer evening with more crowd. About parking, well Good Luck ;)

This is a very good beach with a lot of energetic people. The place is always filled with excitement and energy from different street artists and hawkers. There are amusement parks and aquariums in the close vicinity so one can enjoy rides and watch different fishes too. It's a good place to hangout with friends especially over the weekend. The only challenge that one could face is finding a parking spot.

The beach is not that crowded, the water is calm and cool. I’m giving 5 stars to the beach itself, but the park is a different story. The park next to the beach (Luna park) doesn’t feel safe at all, it is crowded, it feels dangerous, staff are not nice or helpful.

I did not like this beach at all. There were a lot of people having a bit too much fun. The beach was dirty, kids throwing wrappers in the ocean. Choose another beach.

Coney Island is a classic New York destination, known for its amusement park, beach, and Nathan's Famous hot dogs. I started our day at the amusement park, which is home to a variety of rides, including roller coasters, water rides, and kiddie rides. The roller coasters were amazing! I rode the Cyclone, the Wonder Wheel, and the Thunderbolt, and had a blast. The water rides were also a lot of fun, especially on a hot day. After I had my fill of rides, I headed to the beach. The beach in Coney Island is wide and sandy, and it's a great place to relax and soak up the sun. I spent a few hours swimming and sunbathing. To end the day, I ate at Nathan's Famous hot dogs. Nathan's is a New York institution, and their hot dogs are some of the best in the city. I ordered a few hot dogs with all the fixings, and they were delicious! Overall, I had a great time at Coney Island. It's a great place to visit for families, couples, and groups of friends. There's something for everyone at Coney Island, from amusement park rides to the beach to delicious food.

Coney Island Beach is South of Brooklyn is a beautiful man made beach and maintained so. The Verrazano Bridge connects the Staten Island side with Coney Island beach side which is the Hudson river bay, extending it further opening to the North Atlantic sea. Nice place to rejuvenate and sight seeing. The high tides offers great surfing opportunity. Though the nearby airports JFK, makes the place could be a bit noisy with approaching aeroplanes but offer great views.

My hood beach for life...Being going since I was kid. Love it then and it's Even better today. Although looking for parking is still horrible I still can't stay away. They added new rides to the boardwalk, I was shocked cause one of them was a water ride.

Coney Island boardwalk was amazing. They had an awesome event with family and friends celebrated together. We walked down to the beach. I must save their beach is pretty clean. It was beautiful. We spent the entire day listening to poetry, music, dancing, once again it was beautiful.

Very intriguing beach. I didn't know there was beaches in Brooklyn before. I went there on a rainy day just because I didn't have more time and it was one of the last places I didn't see. On that day I touched the Atlantic ocean water on the East coast for the first time (I'm from France, studying on West coast). So I really enjoyed that spiritual moment. The strong wind deflates sand onto the sidewalks. But it gives a cool sensation, I can't really describe. Bathrooms are clean, although no one was there on that day so it makes sense.

Fantastic and iconic new york city landmark. Everyone visiting must see. Especially in the warmer months such as summer and spring. It's beautiful to see all the performers on the boardwalk there are so many wonderful ones. Lots of vendors on the beach. Just in case this is nyc beach it's always gonna be beyond crowded. Walk a bit and you'll find less people towards Brighton. Great for a picnic too!

Great beach, great vibes however slightly ruined by some people walking around all day selling stuff (beer, umbrella). Zero stars for the rest rooms, bleach don’t kill anyone so please use it( at least to get rid of the pee smell) it looks like a scene from the walking dead in there. We didn’t go on any rides however we did notice a ride priced at $79!!! What the hell is that about?

Coney Island Beach offers a delightful seaside escape, boasting soft sands and refreshing ocean breezes. However, during the bustling summer months, I tend to steer clear of the boardwalk adjacent to the amusement park. The sheer volume of visitors often leads to overcrowding and noise, detracting from the serene beach experience. Furthermore, it's disheartening to witness some individuals disregard the pristine surroundings, as the beach near the park can unfortunately become littered with trash left behind by inconsiderate guests. Despite these drawbacks, the beach itself remains a charming destination for relaxation and recreation, especially when exploring quieter stretches away from the amusement area.

So well kept. Wished some of the Caribbean islands took pattern. While i did not go to bathe i did walk on the board walk and felt the sand just for the heck of it-its nice. Theres lots of benches for sitting and soaking up the beauty of it all. No shade though....except for one concrete structure with benches perched over the beach sands. There are sufficient trash cans and as far as i saw the entire beach-sandy area and boardwalk was totally clean. Along the boardwalk theres places to eat and drink **wink wink** yes theres a nice bar but i dont think you can leave that immediate setting with the alcohol. The Coney Island Amusement Park is actually just across the board walk from the beach. Its free admission, pay per ride or purchase a wristband. My advice is if you plan to ride more than 1 or 2 rides... buy the wristband. You can visit the beach and the park in one day. Be sure to check the weather before venturing there as it was rather chill for the first day of summer. ENJOY. Leave a comment let me know how was YOUR visit.

One of the classic NYC beaches. Can get packed on hot day in the summer especially on weekend. Boardwalk is classic, has shops, little restaurant/cafes/snack bars right on boardwalk. Surf Ave is block away, has tons of restaurants. World famous cyclone and Wonder Wheel. There is Luna park (amusement park), NYC aquarium is here. MCU Park is here, to catch a minor league baseball game (Brooklyn Cyclones - NY Mets affiliate single A baseball team)There is metered street parking, a lot for the aquarium, subway trains (D, F, N, Q) , and city buses. Boardwalk is a great place to take a stroll especially in the off season.

Coney Island Beach is pretty easy to access transportation wise, whether it's by driving or public transport. Coney Island Beach is a good way to remain in the city and get a good, quick beach getaway. Early mornings at C.I.B. is terrific for a jog, walker-cise or a casual leisurely stroll, you are surrounded by visuals on the left and right that compliment the beach.

So we were very disappointed with Coney Island and the adjacent beach. We found a dead rat in the sand, empty syringes, broken glass, and there was trash everywhere on the beach and also at the end of the beach. The water wasn't particularly clean, so we decided not to swim and I didn't want to walk on the beach without shoes. Sure the sunset was simply fantastic (see pictures), but that was it for us. The amusement park seemed somehow disorganized to us, but this may be a subjective assessment on our part. To be fair, we only looked at the beach at the main exit, as it is very spacious, it may look different at another point. In any case, we would no longer take the approximately 1 hour journey from Manhattan to do this. It's better to plan a day trip and go to Long Beach, it's just a fantastic beach there.

Much dubious infrastructure has encroached & imposed that aren't utilized & wasteful useless boondoggles beside create issues, restrooms & toilets closed, no potable water sources, few trash receptacles & no recycling readily visible, boardwalk already deteriorating, broken shards of glass among hazards littering beach & streets while no cleaning activity present including animal feces (common issue among USA imposing & degrading environment, habitat, & quality of life), mostly everybody fine but a few people especially youth of color seen littering, vandalizing, rude, & delinquent likely indulged without accountability, CoronaCon corruption prevalent with discrimination imposed while many sources of poisoning pollution & other real hazards unabated but promoted, ... Another area exploited for "natural beauty" but poisoned & destroyed by ethical, moral, & socio-economic issues among usual suspects. Abuses & issues readily observable esp malodorous, trashed, & repulsive creek so that stream & other flow for run-off must already readily reveal many toxic hazards so poisonous plumes will become elevated when all that is flushed from these sources into watersheds, over beaches, out to sea, threatening & harming life beside eutrophication, & promote harmful infectious disease.

This boardwalk can use some renovations, but overall it was a nice family activity. We did not play any games or ride the rides, so I cannot speak to the quality of those. Just the vibes. There’s quiet a few vendors lining the pier selling drinks and other trinkets. A lot of people were out when we went. There are not as many places to eat (outside of Nathan’s) from what I saw. If you’re not from the area, a few blocks behind is a residential community. It’s not the best area, but I did not feel unsafe. I did not get in the water or on the beach. Way too many people and the water did not look the best.

Been to this beach many times when I have visited NYC from London. It's a great beach especially in August. The boardwalk is really nice. I will say the side of the beach, where the rides are and food places, is not very clean. The sand has some rubbish and discarded food but if you walk up towards the Brighton beach end, you'll find it very clean, less busy so you're able to enjoy the sand and the sea. I like that there are public toliets for everyone to use but be careful they're not very clean to use especially if you're a lady, but when you gotta go, you gotta go.?

I love coming to Brighton beach and walking to the very end of the public beach in Coney island, particularly in the colder months when it's empty and I can truly enjoy the smell and sound of the surf, taking photos of the many jetties and seagulls, and meditating on my feet. Living in NYC, Coney island is a wonderful and accessible escape from the insanity of the daily grind. It's a place to reconnect with nature. Watching the sun set over the ocean is incredibly beautiful and soothing.

Volley Ball courts are there where you can spend your time and enjoy just bring your ball. 2. Luna park was crowdy. Rides are good, kids can enjoy a lot. Restrooms were dirty! 3. At luna park you could get 140 credits in 100$ where 1 credit is $1. So you can enjoy more if you are with family and plan to do few rides. Credits are available only at entrance. 4. Surrounding area of coney, personally i find little dirty and smelly and perhaps not safe at night. 5. All souvenir and gift shops were overpriced, literally every item. 6. Feel lucky if you find free Roadside parking otherwise be ready to pay $40 for 4+ hours parking at any parking of luna parking.

Enjoyed a pleasant afternoon on Coney Island Beach, and it was amazing. The beach is very clean, the water is excellent - it was a great visit!

This place is fun, but overrated. The beach is very crowded, smells like weed and drugs all the time, and filthy. If you are a tourist visiting NYC, don’t even bother coming here, nothing much to do nor nothing much you’d love this area. Now, if you are a resident of NYC, sure, do whatever you want.
