It's a lovely place for kids and adults. Good Handball court ( 1 ) wall facing east. In the afternoon the sun is behind you. Beautiful Ocean view. The restrooms are clean and comfortable.

This playground was just redone with all new pods of playground equipment for children of all ages. New mats and swings, hand ball court and even education boards in braille. The bathrooms were all freshly painted and ready to open for the big memorial day weekend. Enjoy everyone.

The play ground us adjacent to Beach 59th. It is a good playground for kids. There is a foot washing facility. The washroom facility was good. Different types of equipment and toys were installed. I think it should be loved by everyone.

Great place to go whether you're visiting the beach or not. The children will definitely enjoy it. They have swings for infants and older children, a sprinkler system, handball court, hopscotch and slides. As well as restrooms. There are a few small tables and benches as well. Good place to go. Visit and thank me later 😊

New playground with restroom that is close to the beach. They really should have added shade covers and planted trees since it is too hot to use in the summer. Hope that is an addition they will consider for new NYC playrgound designs.

Decent playground with play areas for children of all ages. Includes swings (adult and small children), a small water feature, and restrooms on-site. Metal is starting to rust, but not terribly so. Well-maintained grounds. The one negative of the playground is the limited shade; it gets hot when the sun is out!

Locked during operating hours on hottest day of the year. No construction or sign. Just adults who climbed the fence and were hanging inside. This is a place for kids. 311 no help. Another example of Rockaway getting some nice only to bonk availability, upkeep, and operations.

The playground is right off the beach boardwalk. It got lots of activities for both kids and adults such as a handball court, swings, a jungle gym, chess/checkers tables, etc. The downside is that the bathrooms are closed. It's near the 60th street subway station where you can get the A train.

Beautiful playground, clean and well maintained. Rules are clearly posted and easy to understand. We came for the beach, and found it by accident. Great find! ❤️❤️

Have not actually PLAYED here lol. I just see it a lot as I ride by on the boardwalk. Looks great. Relatively new. Well maintained. Clean. Always active and everyone is having a blast so there you go. Features: multiple bball courts. All have NETS. Pickle ball, roller hockey, tennis court and practice wall. Tetherball. Badminton possibly. Skate park with bowls and rails and all that. Swing sets, climbers, jungle gyms, swinging ropes, teeter totters. You name they got it. Very nice.

It's nice and most importantly the bathrooms were clean. And what more can you ask for with the Beach right there 🙌🏻😍 the playground was also clean and the people that clean up were walking around making sure everything was clean and in order.

Enjoyed myself great time with family.. lack of amenities in this area though!! Further down next to the newer buildings you'll find a ton of amenities in the area. The City of New York doesn't care about long term residential areas like this one. Only new gentrified areas makes the cut on where the amenities goes! 🦵 Kick out the old and in with the new.. And you see why there is a divide
