Beach cafe is a good neighborhood brunch spot. Their french toast was on point. I had been craving a sweet brunch all week so this was a perfect fix for me. Their brunch also allows for three cocktails. Basic brunch cocktails - no complaints. Their outdoor space have heaters but are on the side of the building so could be cold for those sitting closer to the road. We went on a rather warm winter day, but embrace for the cold if you are visiting on a cold winter day. Amazing service!

Hands-down five stars! Very friendly staff. Nice ambience. And I finally found the best French dip sandwich in the country. I know that’s a big statement. But I’ve been searching for decades. The bread, the onion jam, perfect au jus. Everything about it was epic! Seriously! also at my table was a fantastic lobster roll, and pretty darn good chicken and waffles. This place rocks!

If you are someone who loves Fox News, The New York Post and a certain political party, you will probably love eating at the Beach Cafe on Second Avenue and 70th Street.

Absolutely delicious salmon! Served on a bed of sautéed broccoli. I 100% cleaned my plate. 😋 Followed up with a chocolate brownie topped with a scoop of ice cream. The outer dining area is nice but in a louder area of the UES. I might choose to eat inside next time for a more traditional and quieter dining experience. Service was quick but not very attentive. I had to ask for the dessert options after my plate was taken. Food was superb, will definitely find myself here again. If you have a NY Presbyterian VIP card, you get 10% off!

I give this restaurant one star🙂. Although the breakfast was delicious, the coffee was hot, but... dear owner of this pleasant establishment, TEACH YOUR WAITER TO SMILE! Also, after I had breakfast, the waiter came, took my plate, walked three feet away from me and threw my empty plate into a drawer that was on the floor. Hmm... original! Thumbs down! I don't recommend it! 👎

I first stopped in here on a Thursday night for a drink and was advised by Paul the bartender to try the nightly special Thanksgiving Dinner. He said the cornbread sausage stuffing was worth the price alone. He wasn't kidding. The meal was delicious. Paul was an affable engaging guy and skilled at his craft. Definitely will return.

Really enjoyed the food here. It’s a simple cafe here in the Upper east side, ample seating and really good service. I had their best burger i.e. their bacon & cheese beef burger and it was so good! I love a simple burger that taste amazing. It comes with cottage fries that were also really good:) I have to come back and try their brunch next!

Good location and design restaurant. I have ordered chicken breast with mixed greens. Chicken was very tasty and sauce made even better taste for salad that came with. I saw they are popular with burgers as well.

Earring on The street side in Manhattan means you keep one eye on the food and one eye on the drivers making the turn! :). But a nice day outside and a quick lunch was an easy break and worth the stop. Attentive service!

Very good atmosphere and customer service but the food is not the best. I ordered an avocado toast Benedict and the avocado was rotten (see picture).

Great place to have breakfast outside in fine weather. The food is average, the price is reasonable for this location.

Update 2/17- what a great meal! Ladkas. Outstanding burgers, and of course soup! French onion soup was very delightful. Chili was simple and good. Devils eggs could use more umph but overall a nice cozy place. The burger, fries, beer $20 is a great deal!

This establishment serves as a decent neighborhood dining option, though I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to visit. The deviled eggs, topped with packaged bacon bits, were fairly standard and lacked any standout qualities. Similarly, while the espresso martini was potent, it didn't offer anything unique or inventive in its preparation.

I was very pleasently suprised with my experience at Beach Café. Came in randomly and found a table right away on a Saturday night. The burger and fries were suprisingly tasty for a very good deal. A random but nice fact: the bathrooms were also very nice. Service was quick too. Will definetly be coming again!

What a fun place to go for brunch/lunch! They have a great brunch menu that includes 3...yes 3! DRINKS. The Bloody Mary is especially yummy and a bit on the spicy side. Just right! You can also switch to their other brunch menu offerings such as a screwdriver or mimosa. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The wines were not too runny but the yolk was a smooth. It wasn't drowned in Hollandaise Sauce either, like other restaurants. Hubby had the Scrambled Eggs and Smokes Salmon which he said was quite good. Our friend had the Nicoise Salad. It's her favorite here and she was looking forward to our meeting for awhile! The service is top notch and friendly. We didn't have any problems and our order and drinks came out fast. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back!

We've been to The Beach a few times over the years whenever we've visited NYC and it never disappoints. This trip was particularly good - we had a cobb salad, chicken Milanese, spaghetti Bolognese and baked shells bechemel and they were all excellent. The restaurant has a lovely community feel.

I opted for the brunch + 3 drinks. The eggs Benedict’s were really nice. I also had the mimosa and Bellini- both were good. Nice place to go for a brunch.

Wonderful beach-themed casual restaurant located within walking distance on the north end of the major hospitals and research centers on "Cancer Corner" (Weill Cornell, New York Hospital, Hospital for Special Surgery, MSKCC, Rockefeller University). I had a latte and that some fried zucchini spirals which were tasty. Service was attentive. I would return.

Nice spot. Good service. Here are some pictures of the desserts 😃. There is a boba tea place right next door 🧋.

My hubby and I go to this place very often as it is in our neighborhood. They offer nice menu and we love the tuna salad and the drink prepared by Chris, our favorite bartender. Chris s margarita is fabulous, one of the best ever in this city and he is very friendly and fun to be around. The place is cozy and pleasant with nice people. Well recommended !!

Simple menu, and pretty good food. Pricey for what it is, but consistent.

Got egg Benedict for brunch and 3 drinks, the blue decorations are so attractive, the lifeguard stands reminded me the beach

Reliably excellent. Fantastic Cobb salad. Always ahead of the curve in terms of the entire experience. I love to eat here (should really go here once a week) and just ordered delivery last night and was impressed at the effort made to bring the meal intact. This is always a satisfying meal and experience

I got a drink at this bar when they were hosting a politician doing a campaign event. The place is really quite small and we had trouble finding a place to stand where we would be somewhat out of the way. Additionally, they played music kinda loud when the candidate was trying to talk. Overall it seems like a nice place to eat but it doesn't work for political rallies.

Bartender was hilarious. He recommended the wings and they really were so good. I’d recommend to get them naked and get the sauce on the side bc the fried dough does get soggy. Carrot cake was fantastic 👍🏼

The new outside seating areas are lovely and comfortable. The lobster roll is the best I've had outside of waterside places in Bar Harbor, Maine. The roll is filled with lobster meat and no fillers. The hamburgers are probably the best on the UES--juicy without being greasy. They've weathered a very tough year and have come through.

PRO TIP: You can’t split the check with a friend! It has to be one credit card. No exceptions. Great neighborhood brunch spot, and I love they serve brunch till 4pm. (They even accommodated me on a French roast after that one time.) They’ve done some ingenious post-pandemic decorating and made the block a really vibrant and eye-catching with their beach blue theme. Food is fresh and service is quick. They don’t have a cappuccino or espresso machine which surprised me a lot for a brunch place!

Got curry chicken salad which was good but expected it to be served on a bed of lettuce. Served with 3 small lettuce leaves. There was no side salad on the menu to order.
