Zog was completely INACCESSIBLE throughout the entire league, we had NO WAY to contact them to let them know when we couldn’t make the team and we were NEVER contacted when other teams didn’t make it leaving us ALONE for 3 games. There was NO BUS that showed up to pick and drop us off as promised. Many games had NO umps making them unofficial. We Paid for 6 games and technically only got 2 out of the 6. There was no platform for us to contact the other teams directly which honestly would have resulted in a better organized league.

What an absolute joke of an organization. They can't seem to coordinate with any of their facilities if they are available or not. Not only that but they also won't let you know until either 20 minutes before your scheduled game OR send an email out 10 minutes after you've arrived at the facility. We've had our summer league still ongoing into the middle of November. A "SUMMER" league. We've now had about 4 games cancelled for no communication between ZOG employees and facility managers where either a different event was booked, locked gates, and more. I guess it wouldn't be that crazy if it were a one off but we've done ZOG for three different seasons now and this will be the last. Each of those seasons had the same problem. Light's remained off in the facility, no refs, or no equipment. Problem doesn't seem isolated to just soccer either. If your looking a good rec league look else where. In the Hudson County area HIVE athletics is a great alternative. They have as many sports as ZOG, better priced, and almost never had a game cancelled. Also the one time they did HIVE managers even came to fill in for their colleagues. For Real avoid this organization like the plague.

I started playing with Zogsports in NJ back in 2012 and it was actually well organized for the most part, nothing is perfect but they did very well, at least for North Jersey the league managers they had really cared about the user experience and would show up if there was any issues and address things right away, when that manager left for another market the decline began and it's just been a free fall since then, so much so that other managers left and started their own organizations and previous players started their own as well which are currently being run the way things are supposed to be run. Pandemic took a toll on everyone and all businesses but Zog continues to ride that excuse to justify how little they care about running the league and how much they just take your money and you never hear from them. Unfortunately in my market they have a bit of a monopoly on certain locations so we have not choice but to sign up if we want to get together and play sports sometimes. The managers for North Jersey tell me that Corporate isn't giving them enough and I want to believe that and it may be true but things continue to get worse, most recently I had my first game of the indoor soccer season and the ref was not provided with any tap for marking the court, there were no soccer balls to play the game, people had to go to their car and see what they had, we almost used an old volleyball ball we found, I used my personal medical tap to mark the court, we pay a good amount of money and it seems like Zog feels is too much of an effort to invest some of that money on the things needed to run the league, I should not have to pay to play and then on top of that pay to buy my own equipment to make the game happen. As I said I want to give the local managers the benefit of the doubt but if it's out of their hands then they need to speak up to corporate or find a better place to work because all you are doing is damaging your own reputation working for such a greedy and self serving organization. Gone are the days of well organized leagues and tournaments and I don't see those ever coming back. Rant over.

Pre-paid for 2 leagues (my wife and I for one and solo for another). Leagues were canceled for Covid-19. No refund issued, only a credit. The credit does not mean a thing since my life situation has completely changed. A rep stated that there is no money available because of how they allocate funds to the future. My money is being held hostage for poor cash flow management. Crooks. Stay away. Stay far away.

Unprofessional league. Umpires have no knowledge. Umpire that lead most of the games admitted to making up his own rules even after people from teams read him the handbook. This league and its staff are a joke. If you’re looking to join a softball league this one isn’t the one to look into, let alone join unless you want this league to just steal your money and not take your efforts seriously.

Probably the worst softball league in the history of softball leagues! The umpire did a “no call no show” to a semi final and championship game and then the league marked us down as we lost the semifinals when we never played an OFFICIAL game. Umpire never shows up which means games are always rescheduled. Umpire makes his own rules aside from the league rules. This league only cares about the money and nothing else. No customer support contact to be found and they dont reply to emails.

If I could give less stars i would. Zog is horriibly ran especially for the Brooklyn sports leagues! This is coming from a person who has played at least 5+ years with them. All they do is make excuses and then are not attentive with anything they do. They do all of this while hiding behind their no refund policy so that allows them to push back season start dates months later then they were supposed to actually be. Communication is horrible as you can barely get in contact with anyone even going as far as to show up to games that you cant play because they never cancelled it and have no refs. This Spring season was the last straw with them pushing back the date after they took peoples money a whole month and half and still refuse to give refunds!

I've been playing ZogSports for 4 years and absolutely love it. I started solo as a free agent and ended up being matched with a great team. I am still playing with the same team 4 years later and we became very good friends, go out together and even travel together. ZogSports is very quick at answering emails and is always trying to accommodate everyone. The Refs they use are very good and fair, but also super nice and fun. I really enjoy going to the bar with everyone after a game (teammates, refs, other team players). Unlike other leagues in NYC, they don’t take themselves too seriously. It’s competitive enough that you can enjoy playing a good game (I play football) but everyone is very friendly and is there to have fun first. I’ve played in other leagues and ZogSports is definitely my number 1! Also, I met my boyfriend thanks to ZogSports and I couldn’t be more grateful for all the good things that happened to me since I joined. If you are anxious to join because you don’t know anyone, just go for it!!! Everyone is very welcoming and friendly, you will make new friends and have a ton of fun and create great memories.

Three of the 8 games of my basketball league have been cancelled the day of the game. In one instance, we didn't find out the game was cancelled until we arrived (at 8:30pm). Worse, the league let the refs know that the game was cancelled but didn't bother contacting the teams. In light of this, the league has refused to provide even partial refunds or even provide a modest discount for a future league. Find an alternative if you can.

I've been playing volleyball with zog for about 4-5 years now, started in nyc because I didn't realize there was a nj chapter. It has gotten me active and back into a sport I've always loved! It has brought me out my shell and I've made a core group of friends that I see outside of the games as well. I recommend zog to everyone to make friends and to play sports. It's a great organization.

Zog is such a fun affordable way to meet people through sports. I played beach volleyball on Pier 25 and I’ve also played indoor court. Can’t recommend beach enough it was so much fun and I can’t wait to hang with everyone I met outside of the weekly games. Whether you’re competitive or just playing for fun there’s a team for you!

Zog’s gone way downhill and instead of doing anything to make their players happy, they just send groveling emails about how they’re stretched so thin right now. Been playing soccer with them for years, but these days they’re failing to do the bare minimum. No refs and the field where we play frequently doesn’t know we’re actually supposed to be there. Multiple times through the winter, the facility tried to kick us out despite having games scheduled. Then Zog has failed to be organized with their own schedule and made us replay games that they had already counted toward the league and not agreed to accept scores from games without a ref, even when both teams agreed to count the game. It’s not that hard to keep track of teams and scores. I’ve run tournaments with friends that were more organized. I’m not sure what we pay them for at this point and may be looking for a different league soon.

I'm so thankful I found ZOG. I'm new in town and miss my volleyball fam from home. ZOG does an amazing job bringing us together and keeping it social, fun and still cometitive. Highly recommend. I can't wait to try a few others teams through the winter.

The Brooklyn Pier 6 volleyball league did not provide us a ball, cancelled games without telling us in advance, updated the last 2 weeks of standings & scheduled playoff games with less than 24 hr notice (and only bc we contacted them to ask), and did not provide a referee for the playoffs (he was reffing a VOLO game on the next court and told us to tell him the score at the end).

Never use this service if you're in NYC. It is so poorly run it's almost hard to believe. First and foremost, they can "postpone" indefinitely or cancel games at complete will, without nearly any warning. They refuse, at all costs, to give out refunds and are very rude about it over email and the phone. We had one game where we got to the field and Zog had forgot to book the field for us so an entirely different organization was running a softball game there. This is just a really poorly run organization.

BEWARE THIS COMPANY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN!! Just like others they took our money, cancelled the league with no postpone date and refuse to provide a refund just give credit to you for a league that might never happen!

Zogsports took mine and 7 of my friend's signup fee (over $1500) in March 2020 and has ignored all attempted communications to have those funds returned to us ever since. They took our money to cover their own expenses over the last year instead of refunding people who signed up for their leagues before covid. Now they are marketing leagues that are starting up again without refunding the people who are still owed money. If you're thinking of signing up, don't!

Really excited to be playing dodgeball for the first time but this really was not it. The teams we played were with great (everyone showed up!!) but the ref is awful. As a first time dodgeball player I did my research and understood the game but this ref clearly does not. How long is a game? What is a lighting round? How long is a lighting round? How many sets are there? You’d think the red would know or at least read the handbook before the game. But clearly to Zog Sports this is too much to ask. If you’re looking for a good time and your moneys worth. I’d go elsewhere.

Their leagues are so disorganized and they had no refs for our playoff game, they’ve also had refs show up late consistently and refuse to refund based on it. This organization used to be way better before they cut their staff

8 years of NYC Rec. sports and this is the worst experience I’ve ever had. The league delivered on practically nothing it sold us. We had multiple last minute postponements. Never had a shot clock or scoreboard. Single ref and many more issues that weren’t resolved with costumer service who barely responded to my emails after multiple weeks of no replies (the season only lasts 6 weeks). For the same price as any other basketball league I’ve played in this is a colossal rip off. They also don’t offer refunds regardless of how poorly the league runs so save your money.

I have been playing with ZogSports for a few seasons now. While the leagues are a fun way to stay in shape, they are also a good place to meet like-minded people. The staff is also easy to work with. Recently there was an error in a registration that caused me to miss multiple games at the start of a season (soccer). Without hesitation, the staff refunded me the money, making it a hassle free process. I definitely recommend.

My company has been playing Spring Kickball through ZogSports for almost three years now and it's always a highlight. It's a great way to build work relationships and break up the week with fun activities. The support at Zog HQ is super helpful and prices are the best of any of the intramural providers in NYC. We definitely recommend!

I have been playing indoor volleyball with Zog in Jersey City and Hoboken for the past 5 years and only have positive things to say. Hence why I have been playing with them for over 5 years. I have met some of my closest friends thanks to Zog. Sure there were 2 or 3 times where our game was won by forfeit because the other team didn't show up, but I can only blame the opposing team for not notifying Zog, and not Zog itself. The one time that the opposing team did notify Zog, I received a notification from one of their reps ahead of time. Love Zog so much that I even signed up for fall bowling and looking forward to it!

I really gave this league 3 tries to be a decently run organization for Jersey City Volleyball, and never once did it get better. No communication of cancellations amongst the teams (4 teams total), no referees for half the games, the staff have no idea who's playing who, playoffs only having 3 teams, this was just a poor excuse for a sports league. I wish I could take my money back and my time spent in this league, just delete this league and focus on other sports that you actually can run.

We really loved the way ZogSports administered our event. They were incredible helpful and available to us and helped us plan the part every step of the way. We had a lot of people attending so it was great that they were able to work with us and change the games and the event to fit our company and what we wanted to do. They were ready for us ahead of schedule which was perfect since a lot of us were early and they even helped us set up some of the decorations. We’re grateful that they were able to handle a lot of the back-end work for us and make it possible for us to just sit back and enjoy ourselves. Our employees had a lot of fun and gave us feedback saying they’d definitely want us to do this again. Thank you Zog!

I joined Zog a little over a year ago as an individual. player and have been more than thrilled with the experience. My first go-around I connected with a group of other individuals (now close friends) and we've been signing up as a team every session since then. Zog offers the perfect level of competition for intermediate players. No complaints!
