Great way to take a ride to the Brooklyn stop and continue onto Lower Manhattan. Get a day pass and check out the stops. Ferry's are on time and quickly load and leave. BEWARE. We booked our day passes on the Waterways app, there is no eTicket or confirmation email. Luckily I took a screenshot, because there is not WiFi at the ports, so I could not access the app and you are given no barcode or anything to scan. The electronic ticketing/app is terrible and needs much improvement.

$5.50 for 2 adults to ride one way, sensational. Staff is so helpful as long as you know what route you need, they tell you exactly which ferry to get on. Look at the blue dots going across the river and zoom in to find which route you need to take. They won’t know about the areas you need to get to only the route name <3 Great views great vibes. Drinks for sale on board. Upper level through the back door soooo windy but sooo amazing

Absolutely incredible way of getting around β€” the ferry service is both fast and frequent. It costs $2.75 to ride, same price as the subway but with much better views πŸ₯°πŸ™πŸŒ‰πŸ—½

Inconsistent placement of signs directing you to correct ferry. Otherwise, a great service.

Useful to download the NYC ferry app on your phone, link a card and buy your tickets. Once activated tickets are good for 2hrs, no money refunded if you activate ticket beforehand. I always wait until I see the right ferry and make sure the worker gets off then I activate ticket.

Sightseeing while commuting! Not the fastest way across the river but you can’t beat the views.

The ferry from East 34th Street to North Williamsburg was super easy to navigate! I got the app, headed to the dock, and boarded within 10 minutes. The ride over was quick and peaceful. It was awesome seeing Manhattan from afar. Only compliant is on the way home, if the ferry is filled you have to wait for the next one to arrive. Some people missed the ferry and had to wait an hour for the next one.

$2.75 for a one-way boat ride to downtown Manhattan with great city views. You have to have done it.

I recommend if you go to New York to take a ferry ride. Cross the Brooklyn Bridge on foot, you get to the other side of the bridge, you visit Dumbo and take some photos, and you take the ferry for $4 to 34th St, it is a very nice walk and the views are well worth it.

I am utterly appalled by the horrendous experience I had with your ferry service experienced at the 34th Street station, en route to Wall Street. The treatment we received was disgraceful. An incredibly rude staff member forced us to stand in a nearly empty line, despite our preference to sit. By boarding time, the line had inevitably grown, yet our early arrival and courtesy in letting others disembark first was completely disregarded. We were unreasonably denied boarding and subjected to passive-aggressive behavior from the staff. This appalling practice of herding passengers like animals is beyond unacceptable. It’s offensive and deeply unprofessional. The sheer audacity to have benches at the station, yet penalize passengers for not standing in line, is both absurd and annoyed. This experience has left us sickened and deeply disappointed.

Clean, organized, and safe. Civilized commuter transit hub. All outside with some covered spaces and public seating. Just north of the heliport and across the street from the hospital.

Generally a great way to get to places in NYC if time is abundant. The ferry travels fast but the wait time can be long (over 15 minutes).

Stupid workers in the office, only tell us to wait inside, but didn’t tell us that we have to buy tickets outside the gate. So, we missed the ferry.

The NYC Ferry is so fabulous! I honestly don't even know where to begin but I'll start with the AMAZING staff at this location who run this operation like a well-oiled machine! They are efficient, professional and friendly. This is by far my favorite mode of transportation in the city. Where else can you get to Brooklyn, Roosevelt Island, Wall Street, East 90th (to name a few) for $2.75? It's such a civilized way to travel. Highly recommend!

Pulled in on the Seastreak along the FDR. Had only 3 seconds to snap this shot because the boat was moving too fast.

NYC Ferry terminal. ⛴️ Pretty busy. Thank goodness we have this service. A little pricey but worth the short trip from South Williamsburg.

The NYC ferry management are terrible and 34 st ferry is the worst. They have technical issues and instead of closing the stop or creating an express option, they make us all wait for 30 min plus have service delayed for another 30. It’s a shame.

Employees don't know the Ferry routes. The real time digital departure/arrival schedule does not indicate which slip each ferry will depart from. The ferry does not have a sign to indicate which route they traverse...when I asked the employee which route, for example 'East River' Inbound or Outbound, they said they don't know. That's your job to know.
