I really wanted to love this place! Their street advertising focusing on mushroom dishes drew me in. Great concept, pleasing interior, menu looked super interesting and I ordered the magic mushroom salad for $13 + tax which quickly arrived. While it looked appetizing, the food itself was a disappointment. A HUGE pile of lettuce was covered with drops of (tasty) mushrooms, Guacamole, etc but overall it was lacking in real flavor. No sauces were served or (visibly) available, no waitstaff asked for my satisfaction and I sadly won't return here again... Great idea lost to a dish that didn't deliver... Only bonus point: I enjoyed that their PoS terminal didn't ask for tips, which is only fair as zero service was provided.

Located in the former location of By Chloè, this is a good vegan option if you find yourself around the village. I personally didn’t like The Guac burger but loved the kale-cesar salad and the hot chicky.

This is a cute restaurant and spacious inside. I love the environment and sitting by the window enjoying lunch. The avocado toast and the avocado pesto pasta are delicious!!! It's a little pricey for what you get, but it's totally worth it. I just happened to walk by this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised it's fully vegan. The service was great as well.

This place is horribly over priced and serves low quality food. The taco quinoa salad contains soggy shreds of romaine lettuce, creating a wet salad texture. yuck. The vegan mac and cheese was barely better. The disappointing salad and small mac and cheese totaled to ~$20. yikes.

When people hear vegetarian they except you to be talking about a salad.. but by Chloe has the best veggie meatball sub with pesto sauce!! The beet ketchup is an acquired taste, I wasn’t into it I prefer regular ketchup but that wasn’t an option. The air baked fries were a noo from me. This place gets busy quickly and therefore you’ll have to struggle to find a place to sit. I would recommend only for the veggie meatball sub because that was amazing!

Angelo was the best (our server). He made great recommendations and we loved each of them. One of the best vegan places I've been too by a long shot. The guac burger was awesome and the fries were delicious. It will become a local favorite of mine in no time.

Both the burgers in picture we had were very good. Fries were yum yum and the toast with avocado on it was good too. Place was nice and clean. Would definitely recommend for my vegans out there and people who eat halal/kosher. Would definitely be going there again and will update review for the names of the burgers.

I’ve been to other locations of Beatnic and I love their food. It’s very tasty and being a vegetarian, I love just going crazy with the whole menu. This location is awesome cause they offer a student loyalty program! I only removed one star because we must have come right at 11, cause we stood around in an empty place for almost 10 mins before anyone even came out of the back/bathroom to realise we were standing there. But so worth the wait. I loved my cauliflower wrap and I even got a side buffalo cauliflower that was super yummy! Looking forward to my next lunch!

Nice place for healthy vegan fast food near Washington Square Park and NYU. I love the build-your-own bowl option which allows you to customize with various toppings. They're very generous with the dressing and portion sizes, and the prices are reasonable. Bring your credit or debit card though, because they do not accept cash payment. Cute indoor seating area and a few outdoor tables as well. Quick, efficient service.

A very well managed cupcake and sweet dessert shop near the village. Came in because it caught the eye of my little sister, so we came in and it felt so cozy, Mede me get more cupcake’s to bring home. The staff is very friendly as it should in a shop of this type. The craftsmanship the show in this desserts and pastry’s shows the passion of the company. The location is also very convenient, perfect for dessert after a meal or catching up with a close friend.

The guacamole burger here is my favorite dish. I have a vegan friend so she took me here for lunch. The descriptions on the menu made everything sound so delicious that we ate family style so we could taste a lot of different things. Did not disappoint! Maybe I'll become vegan? Try the fresh juice!

Despite that this shop is small, the staff is very welcoming and friendly. The desert are excellent and have a unique taste. They have macha drinks which is hard to find these days and they do not rush you ni matter how ever long you take to order. This is a quick in and out shop since there are no restrooms and it is not too wheelchair friendly due to the size of the shop and entrance.

I absolutely love by Chloe, but you have to be prepared to wait and be kind of uncomfortable doing so. The place is ALWAYS crowded (a good sign!) and it can be hard to find seating. However, their food is delicious. I personally prefer the salads over the sandwiches because I think they have more food. My favorite is the taco quinoa salad and my favorite sandwich is the pesto meatball. I wouldn't recommend the sweet potato fries, go for the pasta side instead.

the food is good, but not amazing. it’s vegan fast food. I was underwhelmed. of course it’s great that everything is vegan, and they cater to gluten free, but I don’t think i’d return. it’s a great concept, but my meal wasn’t memorable. I got the spicy thai salad, half and half fries, and gluten free chocolate chip cookie. I got $10 off from downloading their app, which is the only reason I came. the spicy thai salad was good. felt a bit fast-foody, with overall flavor coming from the fried tempeh. wasn’t extremely fresh. could’ve had more life and flavor to it. the french fries are air-fried, which is a nice healthy alternative to traditional oil-frying. they’re also gluten-free. however, they were not fresh. some fries were burnt and they lacked flavor overall. slightly cold. I almost asked for new fries. disappointing. the vegan chocolate chip cookie was good - a bit overcooked, as I wish it was softer in the middle. flavor was good, like a classic chocolate chip cookie. also it’s gluten free which I love. overall improvements could be made, but for the price point, it’s not a bad option for a vegan meal. be aware it’s like fast food. employees were nice and friendly :) but food could be fresher.

Quick, non expensive, super yummy comfort vegan food!! I had the meatball roll, sweet potato fries and a coconut sunshine smoothie (I’m a little piggy but I wanted to try it all!) It’s a gorgeous insta worthy place with eat in and take out. There’s not a crazy amount of seating but I went on a Sunday afternoon and there’s was seats for everyone. They sell salads, burgers, cakes and smoothies. All vegan 💚

Sweets by Chloe is the sweetest little sweet shop! It's right next door to Chloe's restaurant which is also delicious! Try the lemon bar, it's so good! Definitely worth a stop or even a trip especially to.

As far as vegan food goes, they are the best, no questions asked. They're well known for their taste, but not necessarily health, so keep that in mind. They have the best beet ketchup I think I've ever had and for some reason I crave it all the time!

  • 4/5 Christina S. 3 years ago on Google
vegan place that will make a meat lover want to go vegan! the only bad thing is the endless line that always extends out the shop I guess that just says how good this place is :)

It would have bene five if I had to judge only the food, but I’m giving a score to service too and it was one of the most rude, sloppy, careless service ever. I’ve been here twice and both times had the same experience.

  • 5/5 John W. 5 years ago on Google
I spent a good few hours trying to figure out if the seitan chorizo was in fact just ground beef and this whole thing was a scam... I also had their burger, and while the patty alone didn't have the same taste and texture of meat, the burger as a whole seemed nearly identical to what I remember. I was shocked. I had absolutely no idea something like this was possible.

These cupcakes have a bite to it. They’re the paragon of cakey. The insides are sticky and doughy. I wonder how they make them, like how many eggs they use? We should’ve got a lemon bar.

5-star plant-based goodness! We got the guac burger, the taco quinoa salad and buffalo cauliflower bites and they were all delicious! The service was fast, the place was clean and had good vibes and we will definitely be back.

Got the mac n cheese and the cookie with everything on it. The mac n cheese was nice (although some of the "bacon" was a bit burned) and the cookie with everything on top was delicious, but could've had more of everything on top. The person at the counter was really nice and smiled a lot

Popped in yesterday after walking around NY for hours. 100% vegan I couldn't not go in. I love how I was spoilt for options, the brownie was to die for! The big dill burger was fantastic too! The fries were cold, soggy and bland. I also had the mandarin lemonade which was the most delicious drink to pass my lips! The server was so accommodating and welcoming. If I'm ever back I'm the states I will for sure make a trip here again!

This location "beats" all the other beatnic because the server is incredible, patient, and friendly. The woman with the sweet voice working on Saturday afternoon needs to be rewarded as best employee! (I forgot her name sorry) she was patient and checked the food binder for ingredients list as I need to avoid refined sugar. Thanks to her, i now know all salads are without refined added sugar except for the burrata salad. Compared to her, the Beatnic location in seaport sucks. The guy there just too lazy did not bother and said he doesn't know for sure which salad or appetizer has sugar added.

Loved the falafel wrap! Super refreshing. The Mac and cheese was awesome as well!

  • 1/5 Andrej R. 1 year ago on Google
The restaurant started putting close to zero ingredients other than salad - 1/16th(!) of an avocado, 3 spoons(!) of vegan chorizo, and 3(!) tiny cherry tomatoes. The rest is salad. The whole bowl of salad. When it was By Chloe, there were at least 4x of the good ingredients. Terrible. It’s like eating raw cabbage now.

  • 4/5 Luna M. 1 year ago on Google
Comfort vegan food, reliable quality but a little overpriced. Their Mac & cheese is really tasty. I tend to order ahead of time and pick it up during my lunch break and they’re always really quick. They have seating spots too but it’s not the cutest spot for a sit-down meal.

  • 5/5 Trent 1 year ago on Google
This was a nice place and quiet place to eat lunch. My fiancée was able to have a huge salad that she loved and I had a black bean burger. The guy working the register was full of energy and made the place lively.

  • 1/5 Mat E. 1 year ago on Google
Over hyped over priced vegan food with terrible service. I ordered a burger from here and it was a mess. The sauce was leaking all over the container outside of the burger. You can see this was poorly prepared and the buns are very moist and soaked in sauce. This was disgusting to even touch. The quality and staff service here have significantly gone downhill. The food used to be good especially when Chloe was still around.

  • 5/5 Brad B. 11 months ago on Google
I came here for lunch. The portions were very generous (envision a large salad bowl nearly spilling over with greens). The price was also very reasonable. And I was happily surprised when I wasn’t asked to provide a tip when I ordered at the counter.

  • 1/5 Vaishnavi K. 10 months ago on Google
I would not eat from this place again. I think the staff lacks the skill to accurately take and implement your order, which is the most basic part of running a restaurant. We ordered two build-your-own salads for take-away from Beatnic in West Village, with dressing on the side. For one of the salads, we explicitly said "no kale", and for the other salad "no lettuce". Both salads had both kale & lettuce. The toppings we ordered were mixed up. They forgot to provide dressings on the side, which we did not notice till later because they gave us everything in an opaque carry bag. So, the salad was essentially an overpriced bowl of cut vegetables that we could not eat without making our own dressing the next day.

This place is great! Really cute interior, love the hanging chairs, small but has enough comfortable seating. Nice menu with a decent variety of options - all vegan, of course  ͡ ͜ʖ ͡ I got the mac n cheeze and it was quite good! I also got the Brookie (brownie+cookie) and it was pretty yummy. Overall, not the most crazy delicious food I’ve eaten, but I love that every last thing is vegan! Makes it easy.

  • 1/5 Tate S. 9 months ago on Google
I used to eat here all the time, but unfortunately they replaced their high quality ingredients with astoundingly low quality (bad for you and tastes terrible too) the tofu creama was way past expired and I informed the manager but she didn’t do anything and didn’t seem concerned. furthermore they STOPPED RECYCLING and their use of plastic is obscene. I’m hoping people will boycott places like this that truly don’t care. you’re not missing much at all anyways!

This place has gone downhill over the last couple of years. It's dirty, the bathroom was extremely dirty. The air dried fries were greasy. The music was loud and annoying.A couple of other issues too. But that was was enough to make me not want to come back.

  • 5/5 Brittany M. 3 years ago on Google
I can’t decide which pasta I like best here, the mac n cheese or the avocado pesto pasta. The mac n cheese, which is non-dairy, comes with shiitake “bacon” that tastes like the real thing. The “air fries,” which are baked in a convection oven rather than fried (and are gluten free) are also phenomenal without a discernible taste difference. 10/10 would recommend this cozy spot, for working on a laptop, reading a book, or hanging out with friends.

I've never seen this place without a long line- so if you don't want to deal with that I would recommend calling for pickup or delivery if you have the ability to do so. This place is delicious but honestly... if you have the time/ability/access to do so a lot of recipes are pretty easy to find online especially if you know Chef Chloe's last name (life hack: boil sweet potatoes instead of baking to save time- part of a recipe for probably her most popular burger). She has 2 or 3 cookbooks out so it's not like any of this is some secret I shouldn't be sharing. But if you're willing to wait on line you should go and have fun, but know that seating isn't a guarantee and you might have to walk over to Washington Square Park or something. by Chloe is definitely cool for at least a try once and cross off your bucket list kind of experience.

Love the vegan cup cakes... idea place for people like us... got to try the red velvet cup cake for the 1st time and it was really good... We also tried the vanilla cup cake with blue iceing but this was very sugary.... i suggest you should definitely try the red velvet cup cake... We haven't tried the other ones but since they are vegan cakes, I feel they would be good too.

Disappointed :( usually enjoy the food at the various locations, especially the Mac n cheez, Tiramisu cupcakes, salads, air baked fries, etc -today-not so much-I tried the egg nog cupcake-it was extremely dry-the frosting saved it-a little. Also tried the lemon cookie-so hard, it was difficult to break off a piece- not sure if they were old, overbaked, stale or what, but not what I have come to expect. Not worth going out of my way during a layover between LGA & JFK.

We love love love the food at by CHLOE. and the staff is always friendly, fast, and on point. We recommend the Kale Caesar, the Mac ‘N’ Cheese, and the Chicky Chicky. We visit NYC for Christmas and New Year’s every year and always stop by the Bleecker location two or three times. We arrived on Christmas Eve this year and came straight here to get food right before close (which we try and avoid doing out of respect to staff but we were STARVING). The staff was super friendly and accommodating when at most places they would have been visibly annoyed (I know from a decade’s experience in the industry). They also gave us the two donuts we ordered for breakfast the next day on the house, which was thoughtful and a real Christmas treat (literally). We love this establishment - their ideals, food, and service are always exemplary and right up our alley. We already wait to come back next year. PS - open a by CHLOE. in Jacksonville, Florida!

Such a great place to get a quick vegan bite to eat. They do a great job with mimicking comfort foods. We visited at night on Christmas Eve and the staff was very friendly; even though I am sure they would have rather been with their family and friends. We came back because of the food and service today and Michael was super friendly. His excitement was great and inspiring, which made our meal and our day even better.

The manager here is by far the most obnoxious person I’ve met in a long time. He has a personal goal to drive customers away apparently because that’s what it seemed like. If you want decent service go to the Union Square location because he’s not there hopefully. Also questioning if they’re up to date on their kosher certifications

  • 5/5 Modesto A. 4 years ago on Google
I have been coming here for a while! I love Chloe’s. Their soup and fries are amazing and they have a great selection of VEGAN food! The best part about By CHLOE is the service. Came in hungry with my sister for lunch, left the most fulled human ever. Ordered the pesto pasta, Greek salad, artichoke dip, and a cupcake. They all came out better than expected and we’re now OBSESSED with their chipotle aioli sauce and their cupcake too. The manager mike was so sweet from the second we walked in and we loved how clean this location is (especially the bathroom)

I just began eating vegan food and this place was AMAZING. I had the Chicky Chickys, they were super yummy along with the Sweet Potato Air Fries. I would definitely come back again, great food, great prices, great service overall !!!!

The service was great. A manager who was super friendly came up to our swinging chairs and after finding out I was visiting a friend gave both of us a free cookie.
