First time visiting from Canada. It is a relatively big mall with a lot of stores. However, some of the pop up shops are closed, for example Starbucks. Another downside is that the varying stores are hard to locate for first time visitors like myself. There aren’t any digital maps to ease your visit like other malls have. More so, if you have no idea where the washroom or food court is, you have to find a security guard to ask. Very inconvenient (P.S. they’re both on the second flood). Otherwise, good shopping mall.

The mall in general is OK. But all you see is idiots stealing. It's pathetic NY won't do anything about it. Start breaking hands, making examples out of these safe, feeling crybaby democrats!

I randomly stopped at the mall and learned that there will be a car show in the parking lot behind Macy's Mens next weekend. There were a few sports cars on display to promote the upcoming event. Sweet!

You will spend lots of time going from one store to another at Green Acre Mall. It’s just wonderful. I love spending time buying groceries and of course most of my time is spent in HomeGoods. Love it.

When I lived in Valley Stream I enjoyed going to this mall. Target was my favorite store. And the Disney store. But Disney is not there any more. I used to take my young grandsons here. The mall is going down hill. This virus has a big effect on the mall.

We visited Queens all the way from Rochester New York, and was impressed with the cleanliness of the city and the friendliness of the locals. I would highly recommend checking out the Green acres Mall, if you are in the Queens, New York area

Great mall. Huge and many stores but just the same many cars and ppl with this pandemic still not gone it’s concerning. However I wear my mask and walk to all my favorite stores. Its a great workout. Some are definitely too far to walk but there is always an opportunity to exercise.

I went to Walmart on a weekday, Friday mid-afternoon, and it was busy but well stocked. So I gather that in order to get most of what you may be looking for, food-wise, one needs to go on a weekday in the early part of the day before 2:30. I say this because I have gone there, Green Acres Walmart, on a weekday before, but it was not in the early part of the day, it was shortly before the majority of people get off from work. The store had an abundance of employees stocking shelves. The place was clean, bright and neat.

It's a small mall but has many good stores like Macy's and H&M, Old Navy, Forever 21, Aeropostale, Aldo, Famous Footwear, and Primark The mall needs better directions signs or even a stores directory. I liked this mall, it's not that crowded and you can walk it in an hour or less. You should visit during your visit to Long Island NY.

I used to love coming here when i was younger. Now its just a shell of the old mall. I miss the movie theater but not the violence. I wish there were more quality stores but i do love Charley's in the food court...

It's easy to get to, has all the stores you need, some favorites have closed after covid, but new ones have opened. You can enjoy a meal, after you finish shopping & the best part is the parking, there's plenty of room. 🥰🙏😇 N

It's a large mall so be prepared to drive to some of your favorite shopping locales. Over the years the facade has faded and can use a new coat of paint, but you're going for the stores that are inside the mall and the surrounding big box stores. Depending on the hours you'll find parking, and it's overall well maintained. New stores opening offering bigger selections than before. I would suggest going in the early morning to avoid the panic and traffic that comes with the lunch crowd and the after-school group that makes shopping crowded and unbearable.

Says they (the stores) open at 10 but had to wait an hr for it to actually open at 11 that’s why I would give 5/5 stars. Decent employees. Not really the best in finding my ways to the stores . They do have a great selection. I would never forget the experience I’ve had here with the security though. Security staff standing near the stores, I asked him where is the nearest exit to the main entrance where I’ve parked. He gave me wrong directions and I had to walk with heavy bags outside like a lunatic and ended up walking outside the entire mall to find my way to where I’ve asked him directions to. I wouldn’t want to say that this experience with this mall security cop would be the same with all of them. But as my first impression that was very terrible how lazy he was as doing his job. Apart from that it was nice. 🙂😅🙁

My first time going there, and it was to try the Sonic Drive-in. The food there did not disappoint! This mall has a diverse set of retailers though and plenty of parking. Could be because of the time I went. Eitherway, I have a go to spot next time I'm in or near Valley Stream.

Green Acres was awesome back then I was younger. I was even cool when century21 was there. They don’t have to many store options for the things I need. They did revamp the food court. They also have a beauty supply store which is awesome. I no longer shop here, they don’t have anything in my style but they are in a great location so I often drop by for the food court.

Green Acres Mall is easily accessible with excellent parking. The building is very old and outdated. Beside Macy's there's not much selections of luxury retail stores. In my opinion most of the stores are like thrift shops. The food court is good however there are no fine dining or eateries. Before Covid inside the mall felt desolate and not crowded at all even at the busiest time of the day...it's still the same. A face-lift with quality store and this mall will be absolutely great.

I always shop for sneakers for my son at Famous across from Old Navy. Some if their sneakers are wide width which is what he needs. It was on a Wednesday afternoon and it was very quiet. Plus I always find that the store assistants are always helpful and courteous.

Strawberry milk tea boba with lots of boba! In king it's like a Strawberry 🍓 milkshake... with boba! The yumminess ohhh the yumminess Amber Lake boba tea & passion island boba tea haven't tried the latter 2 but I have high hopes just based on the Strawberry yumminess I'm drinking...chewing? **chew-rink-ing!**. Ordered on the preferred about 5 minutes from the mall, this is my first time trying this boba (& I had Auntie Annies pretzel bites) the mall was amazing and I plan to return before I leave NYC

This was my first time visiting the Green Acres Mall, and I was very happy with my visit! They have plenty of parking across the mall, and with several brand name stores inside on the ground floor and top floor, you are bound to find great deals on all sorts of products and merchandise. The bathrooms are also well kept and clean, and the customer service is great! I highly recommend visiting the Green Acres Mall on your next shopping trip!

This dying shopping mall tells a melancholic tale of what once was a vibrant retail hub. Walking through its dimly lit corridors, you can't help but feel a sense of nostalgia and sadness. Many storefronts now stand empty, their faded signs echoing a time when this mall was bustling with shoppers. The few remaining stores appear weary, offering discounts and clearance sales in a desperate attempt to stay afloat. The food court, once a lively gathering place, now seems desolate with only a handful of customers. The once-impressive anchor stores are now gone, leaving behind vast, vacant spaces. Despite its decline, there's a haunting beauty in the remnants of this mall's past glory. The faded decor and retro aesthetic evoke memories of a bygone era of consumerism. It's a stark reminder of the changing landscape of retail, where e-commerce and changing consumer preferences have left traditional malls struggling to survive. While it may not be a thriving shopping destination anymore, this dying mall serves as a poignant symbol of economic shifts and the evolving retail industry. It's a place where the memories of countless shoppers and shop owners linger, and where the future of retail is uncertain.

Green Acres Mall is a decent shopping destination, but it falls short in terms of store variety. While it offers a range of basic shopping options, it may leave more discerning shoppers wanting more. The mall's layout and ambiance are functional, but not particularly remarkable. If you're looking for a quick shopping trip or have specific stores in mind, it can serve the purpose. However, if you're seeking a more diverse and upscale shopping experience, you might want to explore other options in the area.

I came to green acres mall today, I had already been here, prior. Made multiple purchases. And it just so happened that someone grab my purse at the store that I bought the bag from, the store I was at, was by G by Guess. The store manager, was very rude, and not understanding. Was kicking me out of the store. And even call the cops on a customer that lost their property. Very bad experience and disappointed. Because I used to be an employee at green acres mall. And that’s how they treat their customers

  • 3/5 Mike D. 6 months ago on Google
Not what it used to be but I'm seeing an effort to make things better. Still a spot worth considering to grab a quick meal and/or do some basic shopping. Rooting for this mall to return to its glory days.

  • 4/5 Alex G. 2 years ago on Google
The mall is very large consisting of many stores that serve food, dry goods, pet supplies, hardware, appliances and groceries. It is difficult to drive in because people are rushing to find parking or trying to get out after finishing their purchases, The road designs are very poor in that driving out on to the Sunrise highway cars always try to jump the light and hog up both the east and west bound lanes despite the light timing. There are too few access and exit roads from the mall. Granted the private roads need to be closed off from mall traffic but there are too many stores and not enough street/road room. Had most of the stores been built taller there may have been better road built to accommodate the high volume of traffic. People are too impatient after dealing with shopping, parking space limitations and traffic.

I visited Ulta beauty salon two days ago and my intention was to get a corrective color. The stylist to my surprise did the complementary consultation at the front desk! As a former salon manager I was disappointed. The consult is usually done with the client seated in a stylist chair. I did not insist on this being done. I just complied. She then informed me that I would need an appointment and was unable to schedule me for another week because she was booked over the next few days. She did offer me an appointment for the following day with another stylist ( one who I did not meet or even consult with). Overall very tacky service. I did not return the next day.

The mall is good & clean, and it's definitely small compared to the neighboring Queens Center and Roosevelt field mall. 2 stars (not the malls fault) but a fight almost broke out in uniqlo : ( and bravo to uniqlo staff for quickly diffusing the situation!

Very business with a lot of traffic off the Belt Parkway which is expected at times. Green Acres has a lot of department stores depending on your purpose for shopping. All in all, great places for shopping. Parking can be a little tedious when looking for a parking spot to park in the parking areas

Walmart was packed with people out of stock I thought it was black Friday cause it was crazy lines where from the registers all the way to the back creepy corner. Tough getting powerade and water luckily I yoinked some.

Green Acres is another place parking issues all over the place people upset angry and not polite at all inside you have lines inside you have congestion outside was like a parking field filled with cars where I couldn't even find my car when I came back out there's also lines inside the stores that are outrageous and not many people being hired so you wind up with one person waiting on 20 people and a line that you want to die on

Been coming here since I was younger. Pretty safe lots of parking. Food court. Large selection of stores. No high price stores like Gucci. Which is ok with me. It's split into multiple sections. Walmart. BJ's.great place to spend the day and lighten your wallet.

Walmart Supercenter was very crowded at 8 am on Sunday morning. It was difficult to find parking and there were long lines and crowds. I don't recommend this location due to high traffic and very poor customer service. I had to get off line and just leave because the line was so long and only had 1 customer service rep with no sense of urgency. We asked for a manager on duty and was told there was none. Workers wearing blue Walmart vest claiming they don't work there and it wasn't their problem. The workers and management at those location have extremely poor people and customer service skills. Don't go there!

  • 5/5 Darryl R. 5 months ago on Google
Huge. Know the location of the store you want so you can park and enter the right location. . Lots of food options. Also outside the main Mall: Bjs, Walmart, Olive Garden. Red Lobster. Sonic, Target, Best Buys and more. It's all there.

  • 1/5 Re 1 year ago on Google
Probably the worst place in Valley Stream by far. Everybody has an attitude (literally everyone im not even exaggerating), the display products do not look display worthy, the cooks don't even know what's in the food they serve, and the atmosphere is like a run down high school. The energy of this place is so ugly, and as much as i respect the people who go here to shop, they deserve better as a community.

It's still worth getting certain things in person at the anchor stores, although there are less of them Post CoVid and changed consumer shopping preferences. Sometimes it's quicker to get something that fits right away or catches your eye.

  • 2/5 Blackout The R. 7 months ago on Google
I've been coming to this mall since I was a kid, and with that said, nothing is ever going to remain the same. However, certain things do like for instance, stores actually being in the mall for one. I look around now, and there's so many empty spaces where stores and kiosks used to be. If you're a man, then this will possibly affect you more because there are fewer stores that would be of interest to you. Nowadays, it's just women's stores and the food court with the exception of maybe two sneaker stores. This mall was small enough as it is, but now, with so many stores closing and just not there anymore, it feels tinier.

This mall has a vast parking lot. This mall has at least multiple points of entry to access the many stores. It has various levels with escalators and elevators. I could access the second floor via shoppers world, both by their elevator and escalators. The mall has a food court with multiple restaurants and a central area for eating. The public restrooms are in the vicinity. This mall is an indoor climate control suitable for many and kids friendly. The outdoor parking has reserved parking for wheelchair-accessible transportation and wheelchair-accessible entrance. Overall a great place to shop for a variety of merchandise

There's almost nothing you can't find in green acres, but that doesn't mean you can find everything, green acres just has so many stores and places to sit and eat ( because they also have a very large food court ), it's just a nice place to go because it's not often crowded and it's not very loud, or not loud enough to bother anyone. overall it's just a good place to go for shopping or really anything at that.

When you're coming out of Macy's there is concession stand that sells pretzels, ice cream cones and slushies. I'm sure they sell other things but I really can't remember exactly what. However they have a slushy that is Caribbean mango that is out of this world. I purchase one for myself, then I had to go back and get my sister one. Before I left them all I was working on my second one. THAT WAS THE BEST SLUSHIE EVER.

Convenient location with loads of shops to go to. Green Acres Mall has multiple options to seek out from. Whether you’re looking for shoes, dresses, or even want to build a plush toy for a loved one, you’ll be able to find a store to fulfill those areas of needs. I love the selection and variety. The mall also have various booths outside of branded stores such as bubble tea, snacks and even have your fortune read. Great place to come hangout alone or with friends/family. Always look forward to stopping by at this mall!

I've been going to green acres mall for 40+ years. It's the largest mall in Queens. Plenty of variety and lots to do. It's also surrounded by large retailers like Target, Best Buy, and several larger restaurants. Easy to get to but lots of traffic. The closer parking fills quickly but there is more parking that needed.

I like this mall. I just wish the employers of the food court would hire more professional staff. Went to there and a staff member bluntly asked me and my friend "What you want?" I was shocked and stood there like a deer in headlights. She then stated "Yeah, you heard me. What you want?". My friend replied "Nothing from you" and we left. WOW! Other then that rude experience, I love the layout of this mall. Most staff you will find are professional. Just watch out while in that food court.

Parking is usually good. Getting in or out can be tricky at times due to traffic. Traffic lights aren't too long however, roadway to lights are short and create jams for drivers.

Call ahead on some items to see if they have what you're looking for. Otherwise this is more of a "discovery" mall, where you kind of just "find things." A Cinnamon and Auntie's Anne's Lemonade, never disappoint ✨

Its an awesome visit everytime I go to this mall! There are tons and tons of stores of clothes, food, shoes, bags, and everything. I love those small shops lined up in the middle, there have best smoothies, snacks, bubble tea and much more!

This mall has changed over the years, it's a ghost town as far as stores are concerned. Macy's is the highlight the men's store is best. Updating is really needed this is New York after all. No apple store here or fancy food court just basic . Footlocker is probably the only other draw to this mall. It's sad but if you need a quiet place to shop at forever 21 or express them this is the place.

Crazy crowded for a Thursday/workday. Everything was stocked. Very helpful associates, not one person didn't know where to find what I came for (A clip on lamp. I did have to search the bulb section for a grow light bulb as it's not a standard. From one month ago, this store has upped it's game staff and merchandise wise. Savings make it totally worth the 20 minute drive.

Huge mall with many brand name shops. I was lucky, I went to two shops, both were quick in this holiday season. I didn't do much window shopping, only looked for what I needed. I guess it was plain luck. I'm thankful that it was quick! The people were helpful. The road in that local area had very heavy traffic…

I've been going to green acres mall for 6+ years. It's the largest mall in Queens. Plenty of variety and lots to do

Went to Walmart and BJ'S. Picked up some much needed items because my youngest granddaughter is with us for a week. Got everything I needed and came back home before 9:30am. Not too crowded during these times so everything went super smooth. Best to get in as early as possible.

In this time of Corona virus, we may feel isolated and lonely. However, we must focus on the fact that this too will pass. Stop listening to the news so much. Focus on life. This is your best moment yet! . Anyway I loved green acres! Always a relief!

Visited walmart at the mall. The first experiencing bagging items by self. Paper bags were cheap and all of them broke at the bottom. The best part was customer service and pleasant cashier.

Could be more lighter the mall inside. And the cars drive crazy in the area. No control. But is ok! They have a couple of stores you’ll need

Shopping is fine, just watch for nutty drivers while walking or driving. Parking lot barricades on the south store lots make traffic slightly saner, but perhaps better traffic patterns or lights might help.

[ shoot out incident ] This mall Is so horrible to the retailers I came to this mall to get my rings inspected at Kay jewelers and Zales. all of a sudden there was an emergency. Apparently there were gun shots and it was not the first time. ( can’t to anything about it right ? People do what they want) regardless of that you would have expected them to close down in the safety of their renters [all stores] nope. Instead of sending retailers home they carry on the day and tell people to open up despite of the crime that just happened seconds later. Shootings are real despite if the shooter ran out you never know if they come back or have people in the mall that want to steal from stores and so on. To them it’s all about make me money. They don’t care about the store employees. But company’s don’t care. Just make the rich richer right ? This is so upsetting and disturbing. Just open up the next day. Send them home.
