I will be reporting this location to the better business bureau. Not only they delivered bad meat to me, I had to wait for a new delivery on another day... they shorted me nearly a lb less than my original purchase and did not deliver the new one on time. I understand making mistakes but this is not the first time yet it will certainly be my last. When you screw up a first order, it is poor customer service to wait to fix the issue and then short the customer nearly a pound of meat. This is inexceptable and I am very disgruntled customer. This was myself go to store but not any more.

Have went to this store for many years multiple times a day. The security team they have here are a bunch of power hungry rejects smh... from tackling older guys and handcuffed them face down on the pavement they give new meaning to excessive force its them they shouldn't treat customers this way. The "acting director of security decided to shove me and I am really sick and have tumors everywhere and he hurt me physically made a big deal about it... keep these guys employed and I promise you will continue to lose business

Huge ShopRite. We went to purchase Staten Island made chocolate (from Supreme Chocolatier). The isles are tight, could use a little more room to maneuver.

I go all the way to this ShopRite in Hyland Blvd , S.I . (I'm from Brooklyn) because is one of the best supermarkets around. Price are fantastic, and so are the sales. This one is gigantic, well organized, super clean, have all kind of departments, food ready to eat and take home. You can buy flowers, play lotto, indoors sitting, bathrooms, pizza section, chinese food ,birthday cakes section, rotisserie chicken, pastries, Juice Press- healthy smoothies, self service checkout, customer servce, ATM, and Dunking Donuts among others. You'll be here for hours. Over 18 aisles. Produce are very fresh. I like the deli section because the guys are really nice. Make sure to take a number to be serve IF you see people standing around waiting. Don't see what you looking for ??, ask, because sometimes is in a different section according to the brand.I noticed they are constantly replacing items that are running low. Give this location a try ,but you will ended buying more items, always happen.

Came here 12/26/2023 for a quick shop nothing major. Spent $145, dollars. While leaving I get stopped by Security which is fine I'm 100% for law and order. They checked my belongings and determined only 1 of my 2 boxes of mushrooms scanned, I apologized reassuring after spending $145 not my intention to "steal" $4, it was a mistake. They were rude in saying "we can barr u from store, I need to pay for that now", I again apologized and told him that tone of voice is not appreciated he began to flex up meanwhile I'm 6'1" 240lbs 🤣 I told him to get out of my personal space at that point other Security came over and I grabbed my receipt and left. They refused to give me their names etc.... real pieces of garbage. I'll go to Stop and Shop

Chef ED and his team in the catering department do a phenomenal job! I worked with Chef ED many times catering work events and every time he goes above and beyond to ensure the order is exactly what we need. Chef ED ensures to reach out if he has any concerns and always has the food ready right on time with no issues. Honestly one of the easiest ways to cater an event with no hassle. Highly recommend Chef ED and his team. THANK YOU AGAIN for all your hard work and hospitality!

I placed on online order to be delivered. I was charged for my entire order however MOST of the order is missing. I was charged for 15 ox cans but was delivered 8oz cans. Not only did the shopper not do a good job but the delivery person failed too. I use to like going to this store but this is terrible terrible service all around. Dear ShopRite: in response to your message below, I already spoke to 2 people at that number and provided details. A store associate called me with zero notes from my conversations. Why ask questions if you are not taking notes for the answers and a customer has to communicate the problems over and over again. Been a customer for over 20 years.

I was scrambling last minute for a Thanksgiving Feast at my school. I looked into catering from Shop Rite and when I called I was put in touch with Chef Edwin Padilla. He was so kind, accommodating and helpful. The food was amazing! The sliced turkey was the best. Also got mashed potatoes, chicken fingers, string beans and mac and cheese. I have a new go-to for catering future feasts! I highly recommend you give Chef Ed a call the next time you need to cater an event!

ShopRite is always a great store and an experience to visit, but this review is about a very polite and helpful cashier, named Ashley. She was on positioned on register 10 on April 3 at around 10:30pm. What caught my attention was she was a courteous young lady and very cautious with my purchases. She helped me pack my goods, and as she assisted, she did not mix my food products with my non-food merchandise. I appreciated this. Thank You

It is a very large and very big super market and has a lot of different types of pastry and have a pizzeria and a good Chinese food and Japanese food and food or hot foods and have different types of nuts and a lot of different vegetables the other old shoprite was just too small store and now it's just more of the biggest and produced more stuff from other products and very pricey foods

Huge supermarket with a huge assortment of everything you can look for inside a supermarket. There is really everything. The staff is very kind, professional and always ready to help you. The shelves are always full and despite the crowd we move easily and the lines for the houses are never more than 3 minutes. Highly recommended to everyone.

Cashier was mad rude and had the worst attitude. She would roll her eyes and be all dramatic if I asked her a question. Haven’t been home in 7 years but I definitely do not remember ShopRite having workers like that… 🤨

This shoprite location is fine, however there's an unhinged employee w glasses who gathers the shopping carts in the lot always screaming at himself and cursing very loud, slamming the carts. In hindsight I'm actually afraid to write this review for my own safety.

The store itself appears to be well kept for what I see so far, however the take out/delivery order section for shipt orders is horrible. They lie and tell your the orders aren't ready, why only God knows? If you asked them a question it's what ever the other one said, and one lady to Advosed me she doesn't touch her the computer. Just call shipt and have them change the time they tell you. Ithe young man gave me a very nasty nonchalant attitude saying the orders would not be ready until 1 hours later which was 30 minutes into the delivery window. Total disgrace.

The deli department is absolutely horrendous. they stand around and talk and don't help customers. I've never seen a deli department so poorly run. They need to have a supervisor that keeps them working. It is truly brutal!!

Most times never have items they advertise - Three items on this trip. Both employees I asked about items were awful. One was rude and the other annoyed that I asked!! I just left my cart and walked out. Not worth the effort it takes to look for parking. Go to stop and shop - nicer employees and always have what they advertise. I used to be a faithful Shoprite customer.

I have mixed feelings about Shoprite on 2656 Hylan Blvd. So here are my PROs 1. It is huge, well organized and always fully stocked with, new, every day items and hard to find items! 2.They have a huge gluten free section. 3. Including GF beer!! 4. Fresh meat and sea food! 5. If they don’t carry an item they will gladly order it for you! 6. They hv already cooked food such as pizza & chinese food! 7. It’s conveniently close to work so I have easy access. Trust me, im in here a lot! 8. The staff is friendly. 9. The lines do move fast as they hv lots of check out counters and self service check out. Compliments to my fav cashier SADE And my fav security Anthony for a job well done! CONs 1. I thinks it’s over priced. 2. It is always busy, it may bother some ppl, but it doesn’t bother me as much. My PROs out did my CONs and thats why they got 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️from me!

Unfortunately, I didn’t have a good experience, at self check out on 07/02/2023 by 6pm, I needed some assistance at check out, so I asked what seems to be a Indian female, who had thee only dog face on her and was so bothered that. Asked her to avoid 2 items for me, I told her thank you, I she totally ignored me. Very disgusting, horrible attitude and customer service, from her part. If she is so bothered helping customers, she should not be working there, she really needs to be checked by one of the store managers, so this won’t happen again to anyone.

I love this supermarket! It's so large and amazing! It's open 24/7 with the exception of certain holidays and they have so many cheap options with their store brand. They've found a customer for life!!!!!!

Unfortunately, the deli leaves much to be desired at the new location. There are never enough staff to help customers. I waited 55 minutes for one pound of cheese! The store wasn't very busy. Stop & Shop allows customers to order ahead. I'm heading there next time.

I come here for my groceries as they're close to my house. I love the sushi but they just told me they're not making a few of my favorites because people are stealing their items by eating their sushi and not paying for it. What kind of classless people do that? Eat food that's not paid for? What is shoprite management doing about that?

  • 2/5 Stephanie E. 1 year ago on Google
The location is great, clean and staff is friendly. The customers in the parking lot with NO sense of direction charging into lanes without allowing others to pull out properly is the problem. Oh, and being harassed and called a 'Karen' by a Karen and ding dong husband whose cursing up a storm while audacious in mentioning "it's two days before Christmas". It's three, but I'll spare myself the drama and not return for these antics.

This is a wonderful shopping plaza in the making. A lot of stores/restaurants yet to be opened. ShopRite is in a new, brightly lit facility, the opposite if the dark, dreary looking place they occupied previously. Super produce section.

Big-time (and in my opinion) overdue, upgrade for this food store on Staten Island. Well lit, good selection, enough designated shelf space for health-conscious/vegetarian/organic produce and meatless items- and maybe a surprise item for a health-conscious person.

The aisles could be a little bit wider, and it would be nice if they had a bigger variety of healthier options, but all in all, it's still a dependable, well stocked and friendly place to shop. I find myself sometimes making multiple trips during the week. I'm very happy they are still open 24 hours after the move. There's a rarity these days.

Store is fine. Clean and nice. But deli sections is not open to the client. I have been waiting about 20 minutes to be served. I was second in line. So, what about people behind me? They had to wait one hour to get cold cuts? I didn't see any manager to taking care of it. Unbelievable.

  • 1/5 Deborah M. 1 year ago on Google
I shop at your store on Hylan Blvd Staten Island and I'm very disappointed with their deli when purchasing cold cuts. I've had several instances where the chicken breast and other cold cuts was cut so thin I couldn't peel it apart. The last time I went I specified told him to cut sandwich slices so I could pull apart slices and the associated purposely cut it paper thin. This is a waste of my money I see no reason to shop there. Something needs to be done to train their workers to do better and be more considerate. Would they want to purchased cold cuts like that. I also was very disappointed with your 4 pack finger sandwiches I was looking to purchase I have purchased in stores in NJ and they weighed the turkey put on the sandwich. In this store 1 very thin slice of turkey and 1 thin slice of cheese. The sandwiches was flat as could be where as in NJ the sandwich is about an inch thick. I of course did not purchase the skimpy 4 pack of sandwiches.

I just would like to address the empty store in the Evergreen shopping center. It would be so nice to have another Shop Rite at this location. The store would be great for the people on this side and have the Best supermarket on Staten Island in another location. Thank you

The supermarket is fine. My complaint is the take Out Asian food by the cold cuts. It’s disgusting and shameful that they sell old hard salty food. Are they desperate for money to cheat the customers with food that probably came from some other restaurant that a customer left behind. Never again will I buy there. I don’t even want to walk pass that section. Yuck to them.

This shoprite is very clean and staff is super friendly! Parking has plenty of spots. A lot of self-check out machines to keep lines moving. And a huge vareity of items you can select from.

The store is definitely much nicer, cleaner and organized BUT their shop from home is still a mess! I have had numerous issues with my orders.. either missing items, not being delivered in the time frame and as of today they said “their delivery company had an error and forgot to deliver my order.” They didn’t reach out to me, I had to call them and they said they weren’t even aware of the issue. But clearly had no issues charging my card. Even worse, when I called the guy was unapologetic, and seemed annoyed at me that I was bothering him. I asked if my ordered where shopped, will they be re shopped since I had a lot of perishable goods. I received no answer. He did offer me a waiver delivery fee in my NEXT order. SMH Just a mess.

Very well organized Floorplan, easy to find what you need. Always crowded when I shop in the afternoon but very good in the later evening and nighttime. Parking during peak hours is challenging, but find it better after 8pm.

This location is way better than the old ShopRite at Hylan Blvd, the store is clean and had a good selection of fruits, veggies, beverages, etc. Most of the staff is friendly with a few exceptions. Recommended stop for your shipping needs.

I was lucky enough to meet chef Ed at the shop rite on Hylan. He is a major asset to the store with the amazing meals he prepares every single day. From meat to macaroni and everything in between the food at his station is not to be missed!

I would give negative stars if I could, the store manager, Dan is a very rude, and narcissistic gaslighter. He did not want to apologize and accept responsibility for rude customer service but instead, blamed me for feeling the way I did by calling security on me for me calling him out on his rude behavior. I was involuntarily ejected from the store right after he called me "sensitive" for raising a complaint. They overcharged me when it came to the discount pricing errors, and I went to the front desk to correct it. But the 2 staff members, decided to treat me like trash instead of giving me my money back. For instance, the lady Arlene called me a "Karen" and pointed her index finger at me by speaking rudely to me, and then later couldn't stop gossiping about me the whole time for not backing down from being conned. The second staff (Ellen), belittles me for pointing out the error to her for their digital discount not working, and then blameshifts by telling me "LISTEN, LISTEN TO ME," to force me to feed into their lies, so they don't have to give me my money back. When Dan called security, he couldn't even give me a reason for why he wanted me escorted out except for him calling me "sensitive," for pointing out his lies and deception. His actions showed reckless disregard for customer needs when a concern was raised. One example was him screaming at me in anger, "I DON'T NEED YOUR BUSINESS," and then uttering, "YOU'RE WASTING MY TIME!" while his job is supposed to be addressing customers' concerns or dissatisfaction with a product, or service. He kicked me out of the store for raising a complaint about improvements needed on customer service training. The guards were also very rude and obnoxious. For instance, they carried out their duties unprofessionally by reprimanding the customer without even questioning why they were escorting a customer out when I did nothing wrong. They didn't want to hear my side of the story. It seems that there could be favoritism or nepotism involved since they were all white, so they ganged up on me without an explanation cause I was Asian. This incident occurred on Friday, March 1st, 2024, at approximately 11:56 AM. To HR and corporate people who are willing to track them down, they're located on 2656 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306 by the guest service area. Dan Baumgartner is the real culprit because he did not want to train his staffs to be friendlier to the customers simply because they were "ladies." Not a valid reason to not train employees on customer service. That is considered gender discrimination. As a result of the dispute, the security guards pushed me out of the store against my will and threatened to call the cops on me when I was not done shopping. It is a sad disgrace that this store has turned into. I recorded this whole incident on audio recording. There was just too much unprofessionalism and inhumane treatment going on against innocent customers who were just trying to shop here to make a living. I'm barred from ever doing business with them again for simply trying to make customers' lives better. I have been a loyal customer of Shoprite for at least over 4 years. But now, I have no choice but to go to HL supermarket to do my shopping since they're not only a small business, but also the newest, and only supermarket on Staten Island that welcomes Asian customers.

St. Joseph Medical center catered food from ShopRite catering department and Chef ED hospitality was outstanding. We had over $2,000 worth of food catered and everything came out perfect! Everything was organized, prepped, and ready to go at the appropriate time. The team effort to ensure the food was not only delicious but the presentation was perfect. Thank you Chef Ed and his team again for doing such an amazing job for our clients holiday party. We will be ordering again without a doubt.

I want to applaud Eddie Padilla and his team for doing such an excellent job for preparing our Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, November 16, 2023 for St. Josephs Thanksgiving celebration. Mr. Padilla raised the bar in customer service by not only preparing our Thanksgiving meal but assisting us to the check out. His patience and compassion raised the bar in customer service at Shoprite Hyland Blvd. S.I., NY. Not only was the food fantastic, clients are still talking about their food and how delicious it was. Thank you to Eddie for helping make our Thanksgiving event a success! I'll definitely use your service again.
