Absolutely amazing options, especially if you are looking for a small option for travelling as I did. I need it a travel perfume and the girls were adorable. Got a perfume that never thought to buy it Daisy by Marc Jacobs.

Apparently, George in fragrance didn’t think I looked like someone who would purchase a $250/oz perfume. George assisted me for an exact 2 minutes, by taking the fragrance I wanted out of the drawer it was locked in. In all of my years shopping at Sephora, the practice has been for the employee to either hand the fragrance to you, or hold it for you behind the tills. When i arrived to the counter to check out, the young lady at the register couldn’t find the perfume I was assuming to purchase. I pointed out the gentleman who helped me, later finding out his name was George. George, not at all shy about his preconceived notions of me, asked “oh, she is going to buy it?” Embarrassing me, in front of the other customers on the line. The young lady from checkout also caught the prejudice in George’s question. She tried to make it better by offering me birthday sample items, though my birthday had passed. That was kind of her. I wish I remembered her name, but by then, I was made feel so small that I just wanted to get the hell out of there. The only thing worse than how George made me feel, was that he looked like he could be related to me. Not all representation is good representation. Shameful, all around.

Rude manager who hang out on me refusing to fix and error that was made at the store while I was returning item. Online customer service advised me to call the store where error was made on my account. The error made me loosing my 500 points. She didn’t even bother to check what’s the problem is. Very disappointed

This review is specifically for Isis at the makeup counter. She did a phenomenal job in an hour - my makeup was incredible. Not to mention she is so kind and warm and welcoming. Thanks for making my day!

Great selection of products especially loved getting the touchland sanitizers as you can only get them in the UK Also love the extensive selection of travel minis My only but would be that the cult favourite products like the rare beauty highlighter is sold out

Very considerate and helpful staff. They helped me to find the perfect color foundation (and I mean flawless match), and advised that I go to the 5th avenue store for a palette I needed for the holiday. (It was there!) Will continue to stop here first for their expert advice and suggestions!

I had a chance to visit this Sephora during a quick trip to NYC, and I was impressed by the selection of brands and items they carried. However, I am very disappointed to see that a Guerlain foundation that I purchased at this Sephora (a huge splurge/treat for myself!) on May 19, 2021 was expired. A sticker on the bottom of the bottle said the expiration date was "EXP 0421"/April 2021. While there is only one month's difference between the expiration date and my purchase date, it still meant that the product was technically no longer safe to put on my face the minute I purchased it. If I'm going to spend money on foundation, especially from a major store like Sephora, I would like to know that safety is guaranteed. Plus, foundation is supposed to be safe to wear for about 12-18 months -- with this purchase at this Sephora branch, that time was already up, and continuing to wear the product would not have been healthy for my skin. When I called Sephora's customer service about this, I was told that I was pretty much out of luck, since I no longer had the receipt (I'll admit, the receipt was lost in the shuffle during my NYC trip). Even though I still had the foundation's original box, it was useless without the receipt. Plus, the representative made little effort to provide any kind of remedy to the situation: All I wanted was the chance to exchange the product for one that wasn't expired. I've been a loyal and longtime Sephora customer, and I was shocked to be dismissed on the call so quickly. (I tried to be nice during the post-call survey by picking out the positives of the interaction. But thinking back, I feel like the customer service experience could have been more helpful.) Anyway, just a word to the wise for others who visit this store: check the expiration dates of the products you purchase there and don't lose your receipts! Also, consider making your purchases online since, according to the Sephora customer service representative I spoke with, it's easier to track purchases made online without a receipt. I hate to say that because I want to support Sephora's brick and mortar stores; but if those stores can't keep their shelves stocked with non-expired goods, then for customers, it's worth considering other options.

I had an amazing experience shopping in this store. The girl working there was super helpful, she tried and showed me a few brands and colors of makeup until we found perfect one for myself. As I am someone who is not makeup fanatic and definitely amateur I got a lot of good tips and tricks from her, and we had very friendly chat during this makeup trail. I cannot remember her name, I think it's Trish, but not sure. Thank you girl, you helped me a lot 💗

Bummed they not longer carry my NARS sheet glow foundation. Was looking for a concealer for my under eye to go with. Nice young employee tried to help find an alternate cover stick but I don't think she really got my mature skin.

Without fail the WORST customer service I’ve ever received in my life. Not on one occasion, but 3 seperate times. Staff have serious attitudes and no clue about the actual products they stock. When you ask if they have something they just say no, on every occasion I found it in the store. Customer service is laughable. Management should be ashamed. A disgrace to the make up industry.

The Anastasia brow studio here is the ONLY place I use to get my eyebrows done. Their technicians are magic and brought back a shape that was once lost to many years of over plucking. Hasije is my go to technician but everyone else here are also masters of their craft. It’s being treated by the queen Anastasia herself.

Got the best recommendations from Ivan. I wish employees of Sephora would get commissions, because Ivan deserves it! So grateful to have finally had good advice on foundation, concealer and contouring. Thank you !

Imagine trying on foundation shades and a sales associate shoves you and your sister to assist somebody else completely who was not even looking at the same brand. That was completely disrespectful, and I will not be returning to this Sephora where apparently sales associates think too highly of themselves. Rather purchase from the actual brand over Sephora.

The return transactions at the Sephora store located at 580 5th Ave were mishandled by the sales representative. I had to request a manager twice as I was aware of her incorrect approach. It was concerning that she prioritized the last step instead of the first one. Luckily, the manager intervened and rectified her error. I visit Sephora excessively. This young lady needs to be retrained. I was unable to catch her name.

It was ok. It took me a few minutes to find what I was looking for but no surprise that no one offered to help. Better stocked than the one in Queens Center Mall. Very crowded on weekends. Indoors and a touristy/travelers area so I recommend wearing masks. Lots people weren’t wearing face coverings including the associates. Covid omicron is surging people. Be safe!

Worst Shephora that we ever been, we have been in many Shephora stores like: Rio se Janeiro, Lisbon, London … but this pufff ALL staff was talk with with other and pay zero attention to customers, my wife ask for help many times and they just say: oh it’s right there and do not move to help her (and no one in the store) choosing the product and look like they are making us a favor. If were by me, I will never left my money there!

The staff at this location is EXTREMELY ATTENTIVE. OVERLY. I like going in to test a few products, buy what I need, & leave. If I need help, I'll ask you. Here, someone will ask if you need help. No, thank you. Walk three feet away. Another person will ask if you need help. & then again.

My favorite place to buy fragrance and makeup. But...for God's sake lower the heat!!! I gave 4 stars not 5 because it's too bloody hot to shop! Bad enough that you have a heavy coat on, so you don't need to have as much heat. I would have stayed longer to shop but I had to get out!!!!!

I had very very disappointed experience with AMY. I never want to see her again. Welcoming customers and replacing them with a cold, icy attitude.

Super super busy, lots of employees standing around talking to each other. Super long, slow moving line. Maybe some of those employees should jump on a register and ring people out. Seems fun to get paid to hang out and talk though. The music is also unnecessarily loud. I have to catch a train so I might have to leave my single $120 item behind. Seriously TWO people working at the register? So wild to me.

I was sent on a mission by the misses and here I found myself in amongst lotions, potions and girly glitter without a scooby on what I was looking for. Was busy and bustling. The staff were great and helped me find what I needed quickly. Bit of a queue on the way out. But they had the shiny skin cream potion stick that I needed which means that I have added a few brownie points to my tally and will definitely be out of the dog house for a while.

pretty standard as far as Sephoras go. less helpful staff than usual, though - aside from the very enthusiastic greeter, we weren't approached by anyone, even though many staff members were available and chatting amongst themselves

Staff is polite, but Sephora needs to change the policy about kids roaming around the store acting rude and loud, filming videos with their phone, not to mention buying products that can damage their skin (ascorbic acid, AHA,retinol... ). I know the problem comes from parents, but seeing that makes me upset and angry.
