Banana pudding is good. The rest tastes normal, rather not so tasty. Also, the purchasing system is terrible. You gotta buy all the stuff first and keep carrying it in line to the cashier which is rather far. They don’t even give you a plate or anything. I purchased many things and it was terribly hard to take them. I even spilled the hot chocolate, which was also not so tasty. It is expensive and a terrible buying experience. Also, they only took cash suddenly.

I was extremely disappointed. I wanted in separated line for My bread pudding around 20 minutes everything is good come my turn. They are out of small bread pudding so gave me Medium I wanted small and was charged medium price. This is unfair. Then he should have offered me small price or don’t have it pre prepared. Definitely not worth the wait line and price nothing special it’s just people speculating it. Definitely would not go back. No seating. Very disorganized You enter all the sudden then they divide lines I did not know I could order coffee at the register I had to order at front. Total disaster for this much of a fame. Also no one was checking vaccine cards and there were over 30 people inside the small location.

Came here after dinner for a post dinner dessert, even tho we had dessert already. We can’t pass up on magnolia! We got the classic banana pudding and the seasonal pumpkin spice one. The small is perfect for sharing with 2 people, anymore than that it is too much. The banana pudding is so good, creamy, flavorful and not too sweet. The pumpkin spice tastes sweeter but it was also very good.

Went for a day trip and my oldest daughter wanted to give Magnolias famous banana pudding a try. We got the red velvet and original banana pudding, two cupcakes and a PB icebox bar. The PB icebox bar was boring, the banana pudding was decent but the cupcakes were phenomenal. If I were to go back it would be for the cupcakes, solid 10/10.

We passed the bakery on our way to Rockefeller Center. The order counter for banana pudding is at the back of the store. I got the original banana pudding. It was delicious, creamy & just enough sweetness. There were lots of banana pieces too. Bit pricy for a small size but it was good.

I can't drive through Rockefeller Center without stopping by Magnolia Bakery. My Gorgeous Wife and Sister wouldn't have it. We love the baked goods and the staff are excellent. Shout out to Omar R., Shawn C., Jacqueline C., Fatima T., Amy C., and Dorian who always give White Glove Customer Service. 5 Stars.

Clearly we had no patience to take decent pictures and dug in. Really delicious. Loved their blueberry cheesecake. We ate the banana pudding so it didn’t make it to any of the pictures. Key lime pie gets a chefs kiss and I would also kiss the chef- that’s how good it was!

Our visit to Magnolia Bakery was a delightful experience, highlighted by their famous banana pudding. The pudding was not only scrumptious but also generously portioned, especially the medium size which was surprisingly large. An added bonus for many customers is their kosher certification, ensuring a wide range of dietary preferences are accommodated. One thing to note is the popularity of the bakery often results in long lines, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. However, the wait is well worth it for the quality of desserts they offer. Magnolia Bakery is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth!

My friend wanted to try this place because of the famous banana pudding. I was planning on passing but saw the flavor of the month was an Orange cream pudding! To my disappointment, they were sold out, so I bought the banana. It was creamy with banana chunks and nilla wafers. If you happen to be passing by, you might want to try it but as for me, once was good.

A must try! Their banana pudding is too good and made in such a light and fresh way. We also had their cheese cake which was also delicious. Definitely would like to go again.

If you looking to try a dessert that is creamy, airy, banana 🍌 flavoured and tastes like cake 🍰 then this is a must try! The banana pudding at Magnolia is very famous and they come up with various variations every season. But the classic one is the best one amongst all! It is located in various areas and if you see a long line you won't miss spotting one!

One of our favorites places to visit when we're in NYC, their famous banana bread pudding is so delicious. Service is always friendly and very fast given how busy this location gets. Nice, quaint inside atmosphere that's surprisingly quite small yet services such a large population. A must stop if you're in the area!

Magnolia Bakery is probably should be made official tourist attraction of NYC. They are legendary and make the BEST like THE BEST cakes. Cakes are very American, layered and amazing. the banana pudding is the best. The cupcakes (try the red velvet and thank me later) are perfect size they recently also introduced mini cupcakes too. there is something for everyone. Often you can expect 10 min wait time, but the staff is excellent they always help right away. I was first introduced to magnolia in abudhabi location and since then it's my fav place. this location is very well connected and is in midtown. The cakes are perfect for Birthdays, office parties or celebrating the trip to NYC.

Met multiple people obsessed with this place on my recent visit and I was not disappointed. I judge a place by their cheesecake and I'm a tough judge, this was the best cheesecake I've ever had. Airy while still rich, it wasn't too sugary and had the perfect balance of everything. The caramel was sweet but not too sticky or thick. The banana cream pie was to die for and is their specialty here. It was light, had chunks of bread that weren't soggy, and had a great balance of vanilla and bananas

One of the good one and must try in NY if you are visiting. Their banana pudding is very delicious but they do contains eggs so it’s NOT for vegetarian or vegan. Chai latte is definitely better then SB.

Drove all the way from Queens on a whim because I heard the carrot cake banana pudding 🥕🍌 was on its last week. The drive was well worth it! OK. So, pictured is the carrot cake banana pudding and also their banana cupcake with chocolate icing 🧁. The carrot banana pudding was so delicious and not overly sweet (for me at least). It was literally a blend of their banana pudding and carrot cake (which I have to try separately after this). I didn't know how well they'd blend, but they did. Perfect cake to pudding ratio. As, for the chocolate banana cupcake, it was a 👎🏾for me. The banana cupcake was hard and not moist at all, plus the icing (usually too sweet), was a diabetics nightmare. I took two small bites and had enough. Definitely NEVER getting that cupcake again. But really happy with the banana pudding creation.

Hands-down the BEST Banana bread pudding of my life!!! Their cakes, cupcakes, and mini cheesecakes are also good but their fame really comes from the banana bread pudding. I prefer going to this Magnolias location because it’s its own storefront (whereas the one at Grand central is inside of the station, and the one around 51st street is inside of Bloomingdales. Pros: - Get the banana bread pudding, it’s truly life-changing (don’t worry, in my experience they have never run out of it) -Fast-moving line -Good packaging for cupcakes (they won’t move around while you’re carrying them) -Decently clean -Friendly staff -Can order cakes here -Lots of other tasty treats here (brownies, cupcakes, cakes (slices), blondie bars, cheesecakes) Cons: -Lines can get a bit long since it’s in a touristy area -No indoor or outdoor dining area (I’d recommend to take your goodies to go) 1000% recommend if you have not tried this bakery before! It’s reputation checks out.

Delicious dessert option with very reasonably priced sweets!!! We absolutely loved the banana pudding here and wished we could have had much much more or saved some to take home! Right nextdoor is also an ice cream place if part of your party is craving that (the two actually pair really well together). Lots of other baked good options and quick moving line to get your items!

Delicious bakery items and banana pudding. Both the carrot cake and banana pudding were very sweet and rich however. Best to get items to share because of this. Staff is friendly. There are rules to the line - if you only want banana pudding, go straight to the cash register, otherwise grab a bakery item on the side counter first before going to the cash register.

Magnificent bakery.Definitely pricey; 2 vanilla cupcakes for $8.30. Banana pudding was out of the world for sure. Would appreciate if they had some gluten free and vegan options. Place was very crowded and lines were long as the extended way outside the shop. Took us 20 minutes to just grab.

This was my first time trying the banana pudding and it did not disappoint! And I normally don’t even really like bananas but Magnolia’s was really good. It wasn’t too sweet and had a nice fluffy texture to it. We also tried the strawberry, which was only okay because that one was actually a bit too sweet. But it wasn’t bad when you mixed the two together. Definitely just a once in a while treat, but this has turned me onto banana pudding.

I love the banana pudding that they serve, also the signature pudding depending the seasons. I recommend you the cookies and I like the service, but I think they should be more organized. when it comes to people trying to enter to the bakery is kinda weird because they don’t keep the line organized but besides that all good, friendly staff too.

Awesome banana pudding, sometimes has long lines but moves fast. Get the original banana pudding first to start! A medium is a good sharing size for two but you could honestly just get a small banana pudding if you just want a taste and don't want too much. It is very creamy but light and fluffy at the same time.

  • 4/5 Kero C. 6 months ago on Google
Very crowded on a weekday afternoon. People already lined up around the corner and most of the cakes already sold out. The banana pudding was quite sweet in taste so I just got a small one, which was more than enough.

I will caveat this review that I am typically not a big fan of sugary foods. A friend with a sweet tooth wanted to stop in here. I do really love banana, so I gave their banana pudding a try. It is a good and solid traditional banana pudding-- nothing fancy or particularly special, but definitely good if you are also a fan of banana. My friend got the Red Velvet Banana Pudding Cookie and a brownie. He felt the brownie was pretty solid, but the cookie was "just OK". The banana pudding in it felt like an afterthought and the banana wasn't a particularly strong part of the cookie flavor profile at all. Overall though a good stop if you need a quick sweet.

The banana pudding is some of the best I’ve ever had (besides homemade of course). I could’ve eaten a large size all by myself haha. I also got a pumpkin spice cupcake - frosting was delicious, but the cake itself was okay, a tad dry and dense. But I would definitely give other flavors a try next time.

Very cute quaint shop. There is a lot of cupcake and big cake options. The rocketts chocolate top was fully edible. Line was long but was in and out in 5 minutes, wonderful customer service.

If you have a sweet tooth and are visiting NYC, this is a must visit. The banana pudding is to die for! The cheesecake was amazing too. Wish there was a Magnolia’s on the west coast too!

Wow - the Banana Pudding lives up to the hype. We went on a Thursday afternoon and it was quite busy. The Banana Pudding is pre-packaged and stored near the register, so that's pretty fast. I also got an iced chai latte and it was quite good as well. But the pudding - I've never had anything like it before, it's a must try. It's not too sweet and the chunks of cake(?) and banana give it an amazing texture. I only got a small size but I definitely could have finished the bigger one all by myself. Unrelated - We saw Tracy Morgan in line in front of us! The stars love it too.

Service and the food/drinks were great but there has to be something better that can be done with the ordering/pick up systems in place. The classic banana pudding was phenomenal! The red velvet banana pudding cookie was sensational as well! We’ll definitely be back!!

It doesn't get any better than Magnolia, top notch bakery, best in the business. It was my second time coming here, its always worth the wait in line. I had the carrot cake and the banana nut cake it rich and smooth with flavors, my favorite was the banana.

  • 5/5 Ragavan B. 1 year ago on Google
That banana pudding is something else. It was recommended by friends so we decided to try it and it did not disappoint. Recommend trying the cheesecakes too which were very good, wish I had space for more so I could try everything. Queue was pretty long and they run out of stuff by mid afternoon though, could be worth trying the Penn Station one which is pretty new?

I've been wanting to try this ever since I saw it on TikTok. Most people I'm sure go for the banana pudding but I wanted to try the brownie which was delicious. On a whim I ordered the lemon bar to go and the Arnold Palmer. I did not like the lemon bar but the Arnold Palmer was refreshing.

They have the best Banana Pudding!!! If you live in the city or if you are visiting the city, you have to try this!! This is something you can grab and go and eat while exploring the city downtown or pack to the closest central park and enjoy during a breezy summer day! Their portion is good for the price they charged. You can certainly share a large one with two adults!

How have I never had this banana pudding before??? It’s incredible!! Lovely spot with great coffee, too. The dirty chai latte was delicious, and the caramel almond milk latte was also tasty.

I love sweets so going a famous NYC bakery during our 24 hour NYC trip is right up my alley. Please keep in mind, I am a very easy person to please when eating out but when all 6 of the cupcakes in our "Best of New York" Cupcake Assortment box are COMPLETELY stale at a famous BAKERY, that I take umbrage with. The cake was very hard and the butter cream icing fell off the cake...in one piece...literally. I'm not exaggerating. How is something you specialize in making so stale when you are making the product all day long (or at least once a day) due to the high product turnover? Also, at an establishment where everyone goes in one line due to the narrow nature of the building, nothing is more frustrating for someone in a wheelchair than to get to the exit door only to find it has a step down. This is very frustrating because it is near impossible for some wheelchair users to get to the entrance where the ramp is when the line is completely full. Please rework the flow of traffic or place a sign so wheelchair users are at least aware of the layout. Never going back...and I feel bad for anyone that spends their hard earned money to receive stale cupcakes from a "famous bakery."
