What a peaceful stretch of greenery right in the middle of Harlem. Don’t let the map fool you, this park has lots of steps and will get your sweat on. The only reason I give it a 4 is because it’s not accessible for those who cannot use the stairs.

A great park regardless of the season! A dog park, great views of the beautiful " City College", Alexander Hamilton's yellow home offer a great contrast during the winter months. Lot's of stairs and hills offer a great run for person or dog!!

I celebrated my dear friends birthday . He turned 40 and all of us are artists so we ate, danced, and lifted him up. I did not know it would lift me up too. The sun shined brightly over us all.

Lovely park with a dog run. Never too busy, except on some very nice days in the summer. It's relatively well maintained, but there has been some construction going on in one section for more than half a year. Lots of volunteer work, though, which helps keep the park looking nice.

This park, situated in the middle of Harlem in a historically significant district, is surrounded by pre-war residential buildings and the CUNY campus. The walkways are paved and ideal for walking or running. The topography of the park is unique, with various levels connected by walkways and stairways to keep a walk in the park from getting monotonous. Since it’s not in the most fashionable part of town, it is much less crowded than parks further down south. In the spring and summer seasons the trees provide enough of a canopy to enjoy the lawns. On the flip side, the park isn’t the safest to walk in after sundown, and maintenance is also less than ideal in terms of litter removal and undergrowth vegetation management.

Quiet and steep park. Lots of exposed manhattan schist due to previous glacial actions. Great place for cardio exercises.

One of the cutest parks in NYC. Has the most majestic view of the castle from city college and wonderfully huge rocks to climb with epic views of the nyc skyline. Also has a dog park and wee museum. Great spot for a walk with dogs and a picnic/date!

A jewel--indeed one of many--of Harlem. The winding walks and steep steps of Saint Nicholas Park are at the foot of famed City College and home to weekend pick-up sports, birthday parties, arts and music performances and plain good walking. Conveniently located above the entrance of the 135th Street B and C subway station, Saint Nicholas Park is also home to the Hamilton Grange National Memorial whence the neighborhood of Hamilton Heights gets its name.

Didn't really notice the park because I was too distracted by the absolutely fantastic debauchery that is the West Indian American day parade 😂. On any other normal day or weekend, I'm sure it's a great park!

You can do stairclimbing workouts here without even realizing it. Great big meadow to hang out in and be social. But also... Lots of good little places to...relax...and be alone without having to worry about everyone invading your space, if u get my point.

Beautiful island of greenery connecting the hilly ridge of City College and Hamilton Heights to Central Harlem. I like all parts, though some sections are a little unkempt/rough. The part around the central steps heading up near 135th st is well kept and the best part. Some lovely views of City College going up the north steps. The path along the upper ridge once you get up the north steps is quiet and beautifully tree lined, all the way to the south steps. The walk/drive from the top, along St Nicholas Terrace, makes for nice views and is my favorite section.

It was a terrific event and the best part about it was "No Violence" police was on their best behavior. Shout out to the bands, performers and the sponsors. The crowd was awesome everybody got along the love was out there in full effect. Five Stars. Until next year.

Love my neighborhood park! There are some places where the sidewalk lights are burnt out but I've always felt safe. All the stairs are great for a workout. My dog loves the dog park too!

Beautiful park! You can sunbathe, enjoy a picnic with friends, throw a Frisbee or just relax and chill. I've only gone during the weekend and there's usually music playing (R&B, Funk, House, Dance) so you'll be able to dance too!

Visiting this park brings me great memories off the day i became homeless. No where to go . no one to call . and the park and the trees brought much peace and ideas to me. . it was a sad day but was great after hours

This place still has a nice variety of basketball and handball courts with half of the handball courts being used for volleyball. Homestyle Ecuadorian food avaliable there makes the whole experience worthwhile! **NOTE** The food is only avaliable during spring and summer time.

Had a cookout there last summer, and it was great. Just make sure you get there early enough to get a good spot.

The infamous park and the prodigy mansion where LiN Manuel caught wind of inspiration to write "Hamilton". So yes I'm very proud to be around this historic section of Harlem with great rich stories and such deep rooted American history. Great view by city college. I bet the students don't know how fascinating this house is, it was moved three times......how...three times.....in the same neighborhood...that's some strong foundation there.

It's a beautiful place to bring your dog and take a nice peaceful walk. The scenery is beautiful. You can also just go with your significant other and take a romantic walk through the pathways. It's truly a very calming place.

A beautiful escape from city life especially on the path higher up the hill, I just wish they maintained things a little better. You really have to watch out for some of the steps.

This is a great park for waking. Lots of stairs so be ready to climb. There is a dog park and a couple of playgrounds. It is right above the A,C and B 135th street station.

I wish there were more police watching the area so much happens in the blink of an eye, and the stairs need fixing and the hedges and bushes need trimmings..just because this park is surrounds by a lot of drug users or people that aren't boujie or upscale, doesn't make it okay for the park to be neglected. I wish the government would show love more and do better for the community and the minority-ruled parks in the lower end of Manhattan and the dark places and valleys. For that; is of God. Still even so the park has its fair share amount of beauty however I know I've seen more better in the upper Manhattan. Biased selective improvements perhaps?

Love this park! Dog area nice and big, basketball, children’s playground, lawn, etc. The view around is great and in nice weather people hang and bbq. Should for sure have bathrooms open 24/7/365 - lost a star for that deficiency.

I took my kids to this park today. It's a nice park it just needs a renovation. There are baby swings but no swings for older kids. They had a good time playing with other children. However, because there aren't bigger swings my kids don't want to play there anymore.
